Sneak Peak of What's in The Works!

Hello, Hello! Again, sorry to say that this is NOT the new chapter. Cause, I've decided to go back through and give this story a new take. Hopefully, this will keep you guys excited for what is to come. Let me know what you guys think of this new style I'm taking. Now, this is only a part of the re-edit of Chapter 2: New Players and Pieces. So you may find it a bit familiar at first, but I figured that a change was needed. So again...

ENJOY!

Bumblebee had experienced many, many painful things in his life. Having his voice box ripped out of his throat, and having his limbs blown off by a barrage of missiles were just two of the things on a list of many, MANY, painful events.

However, all of that? That couldn't compare to the insurmountable amount of pain he was feeling right now. It felt like his body had been ripped apart, and put back together multiple times. Every part of him felt like it was on fire! And the splitting processor-ache he had...

His mind felt extremely fuzzy and foggy, and there was a loud obnoxious ringing in his audio-receptors that only angered the aching pain in his head.

"Ooooh, slag... anybody catch the license plate on that truck?"

The young warrior slowly opened his eyes. The first thing he saw was the wide, open blue above. A few scattered clouds dotting across the sky. Along with the new scene in front of him were a few trees dangling over head. The suns rays pushing gently through the small gaps of the leafs and branches. One ray of sun was unfortunately shining right into Bumblebee's eyes. The young Autobot squinted and held up his hand to cover his eyes. He let out a small groan of displeasure at the feeling of his optics being violated by the ray of light.

The young Autobot gently pushed himself off the ground. He shook his head, hoping that the action would help with getting rid of the obnoxious ringing. Properly sitting up now, Bumblebee rubbed the back of his helm. The aching pain now having dulled to an annoying throb.

"Wha... what happened?"

He looked around and took in his surroundings. The only thing in his field of vision being tress... so he guessed that he was in some sort of forest opening. He looked forward, and saw a large open lake. He tried standing up, but his legs felt like jelly. His body, his senses -everything felt... off.

The young Autobot stumbled over to a tree and leaned on it for support... that's when it hit him...

"... when did Earths trees become so massive..?"

Bumblebee was pretty sure, that despite being one of the smallest Autobots, he was still fairly taller than any of Earths native trees...

"... Something's not right..."

He then looked down to his peds... but instead of seeing his familiar metal feet, he saw a pair of yellow and black pinstriped high tops...

Human shoes...

"... What the Hell?"

Filled with shock, Bumblebee lost hold of the tree and fell to the ground face first. He wasn't down for long though. He quickly popped back onto his peds, albeit a little off balance, and made a sloppy b-line to the lake. Once he made it to the lakeside, he looked over and down at the reflection staring back at him.

However, what he saw, wasn't him...

It wasn't his Cybertronian face staring back...

It was a boy...

A teenage boy with bright, cool metallic blue eyes, and a healthy shade of tan-pale skin. Adorning the boys head was a familiar yellow helmet. He immediately recognized the pointed antennas and the helmet design right away. The little red Autobot shield adorning the crest of his helmet was another dead giveaway.

Needless to say-

"AHH!"

-Bumblebee was officially freaked out. He looked down to himself and was thoroughly surprised and shocked even more.

Instead of his traditional Cybertronian armor, Bumblebee now dawned a simple black t-shirt and a yellow hoodie, both decorated with yellow and black pinstripes respectively. Along with a pair of long, baggy blue jeans, there were two yellow metal thigh guards that looked almost like his original thigh guards. The only thing that seemed to remain the same were his armored mechanical arms.

He looked at them closely and was surprised to see that the mechanical arms were attached to the flesh and skin of his upper arm...

This... this was extremely bizarre for the young warrior...

"What in the pits happened to me!?" Bumblebee shouted, eyes wide with horror. He gripped his helmeted head, worry clear and evident on his face.

"Ok, ok this is NOT happening," he tried reassuring himself, "this has got to be some sort of fever dream. Yeah, yeah! This is all just some, some crazy dream! What was it that humans do again? They pinch themselves if they're dreaming?"

He looked at his left arm and rolled up his sleeve. He then pressed his pointer finger and thumb together on his exposed flesh and immediately feeling a small sting of pain shoot throughout his arm.

"Ouch!" He yelped...

He looked in front of him, shock, horror, and a frightening realization crashing down onto him. The young Autobot fell to his knees with a dead look in his eyes.

"This... this isn't a dream... this is real... I'm a human..."

For a good while, he just knelt there. Everything around him falling absolutely silent. The only thing he heard was the noise of the lake gently crashing against the shoreline, and the various noises of the creatures inhabiting the forest...

He growled lowly, grabbed the sides of his helmet again, and roared out to the sky, "HOW THE SLAG DID THIS HAPPEN TO MEEEEE?!"

Whatever kinds of creatures that were resting nearby became startled, immediately taking flight or fleeing away from the area and away from the distressed Autobot soldier.

Bumblebee was now in full blown panic mode. This was all way to much to process -he was a HUMAN! How in the name of the original Thirteen was this even possible?! It SHOULDN'T have been possible!

'Ok, calm down, Bee. There's has to be a rational explanation for this...'

Taking in a few deep breaths, he calmed himself down.

The young Autobot leader released his hold on his helmet, and moved his hands to the front. He stared into the palms of his metallic hands with confusion. Slowly flexing his fingers, Bumblebee could feel the sensation of his metal digits bending. It was an odd sensation. But... not odd at the same time.

'Guess whatever happened to me, or whatever did this to me, wasn't entirely successful...'

"That just raises more questions..! Gah!" He cried out. "This is all super confusing! I don't know what the frag is going on!"

Bumblebee continued his little rant and paced back and forth, having finally gotten better control of his mobility. All the while as he paced, he cursed out any gods that might've done this to him and his team-

He stopped in his tracks, frozen midstep and standing still like a stone statue. Another sudden realization dawned on the boy. His eyes wide again with worry and concern.

"My team... What happened to my team?!"

Like a faucet being turned on, his memories began coming back to him.

Galvatron... the Factory...

The Ground-Bridge becoming unstable...

That still didn't explain how or why Bumblebee was a human though, but that was the last thing on his mind right now.

He quickly put a metal finger up to his helmet and pushed a small button on the side. A small electronic static noise sounded off from the inside of the Autobots helmet.

"This is Autobot Commander Bumblebee, broadcasting on Emergency Autobot Frequency Alpha-Gamma 1-9-8-6: Lieutenant ShootingStar, do you read?"

(KWSHHHAHHHSSSH)

Static.

"Private Evac, respond!"

More white noise...

This wasn't good. An uneasy and unsettling feeling started washing over him. Were they..?

"Cliffjumper? Anyone!"

His response was only more static and whit noise...

"Does anyone read?! Hello!"

He waited three seconds, hoping that someone, ANYONE, would respond back... but alas, the only thing that responded back was the obnoxiously loud white noise.

Feeling annoyed, Bumblebee deactivated the comm-link and threw his arm down to his side in a huff.

"Damnit all!"

Bumblebee was starting to panic again. It was one thing being turned into a human by Primus knows what! But it was another thing entirely when his whole squad went radio silent and could possibly in the same situation as him... or... or maybe...

"Maybe they didn't make it..." the young warriors voice held a heavy tone of fear.

The thought of his teammates being one with the AllSpark made his gears stop cold. He was feeling many things. Anger. Annoyance. Fear. Sadness.

He didn't know why... but he suddenly started to feel... feel hopeless... his team seemed to be all but gone. Most of his strength had been stripped from him by some unknown force... the entire situation felt... just outlandishly impossible to solve...

"Bumblebee..." a wise and deep baritone voice spoke to him. One that held wisdom and strength beyond his years.

He knew this voice... it was one that he wasn't sure he would ever hear again.

"Optimus...?" The young warrior asked with surprise, eyes wide.

"This is simply just another obstacle for you to overcome, my old friend." 'Optimus' continued on, voice filled with compassion.

Bumblebee looked around, trying to find the owner of the voice. Whatever happened to him must've really screwed with his head.

"Great, now I'm hearing things. Just what I needed..."

"Bumblebee," the voice continued, "know that this obstacle in front of you is not impossible to overcome. For nothing is impossible, or impassible. You must push on, my friend..."

And just as quickly as the voice came, it left just as fast. Leaving an extremely confused Bumblebee to ponder where the voice had come from...

'Was that really you, Optimus..? Or was my mind just playing tricks on me..?'

The young warrior shook his head. "Well whatever that was, it's right. I've gotta keep moving. I've gotta find my friends..."

Bumblebee pushed all of his worries and fears aside. His friends were missing, and now was not the time to panic. It was the time for action! He quickly made up his mind. His next priority? Figure out where the slag he ended up, find the rest of his squad, and then go from there. It wasn't a solid plan... but it was a plan non the less...

"It's better than having no plan at all..." he grumbled lowly.

Resigning himself to the new task at hand, Bumblebee took in a deep breath and exhaled slowly. His metallic blues locked onto the forest in front of him. Determination burning brightly in his eyes.

"Don't worry guys, I'm on my way..."

With purpose, he took a step and marched forward into the unknown forest... His mind set on his mission... Finding his family.

"Stay strong..."

However...

"Grrrrahhhh..."

Within the forest, multiple red eyes blinked into existence. Illuminating an angry crimson in the dark depths of the forest. Low growls following behind the boy... Yes...

This boy would make for a delectable meal...
