Im back I'm back for the first time~

Hey Grojfans, sorry to keep you waiting, for a LONG LONG time! I had some trouble with the plot at first so the story stalled for years. After a while I finally have it all figured out, and I decided to restart it from the beginning with rewriting the old chapters.

Grojband deserves a proper finale, so I'm going to give it one! It does follow my other fanfics so I would recommend reading a bit for some plot stuff.

Let's rock!

Years ago

The moon rested peacefully in the night sky over Peaceville. Young children everywhere were either already asleep or preparing to tuck in for the night. The two children of the Riffin household were the latter.

Six-year-old Corey Riffin was in his room, strumming his toy guitar, "Na Na na na na na na!" As you can tell, he is already a lyrical genius.

A slightly older girl came into his room, carrying with her a book and her beloved tambourine. She giggled at how over-enthusiastic her brother was playing. It sounded good despite his lack of words. "It's time to go to bed Corey."

"Aww, please Katrina! Just a little more?" the small boy begged. "I'm in the middle of my song! I wrote it myself."

Corey clutched his tiny guitar to his chest as Katrina came over to him. "It sounds great Corey, but I think it could use some lyrics." She playfully teased. The young guitarist stuck his tongue out. "Lyrics are overrated." "Don't worry, the words will come someday." Katrina sympathetically patted the top of his head as her brother continued to pout. "Easy for you to say! You make up words all the time!"

"Just use your feelings, it's what I do." the pink-haired girl advised, watching as her brother put his guitar beside his bed as he climbed under the blankets. Katrina took a seat at the end of the bed and brought up her book. "Katrina, I don't need a bedtime story anymore. I'm a big kid now!" Corey reminded her.

Katrina rolled her eyes. He was too old for stories but not too old for the Bubble Bunch Band. "Then I guess big kids don't listen to lullabies either?" she held her tambourine up for him to see. Corey's eyes lit up at the sight of her instrument "No, no! I'm not that grown up yet! Please play it?"

Per his request, Katrina gently shook her tambourine and began singing the song she had wrote;

"Close your eyes, all will be ok,

Drifting gently across the silver waves.

The moon is here to chase away nightmares,

Holding you close in its gentle airs."

Corey's eyelids drifted close as he listened to the melody. His sister's voice was so clear and gentle. Katrina reached over and pulled the blanket further over him, smiling warmly at her little brother.

"Rest in peace, it will be alright,

Your big sis is beside you tonight.

Go to sleep and when you awake,

That heart of yours will no longer ache."

The younger Riffin had fallen fast asleep before the song was over, a gentle smile etched onto his face.

"I promise that when you feel blue… your big sister will always love you."

Katrina leaned down and gave her brother a brief nose boop, before quietly taking her leave. She closed the door slowly, taking another glance at the boy. "Goodnight Corey."
