1,000,000 – You failed to beat House Estrid. Kings and Queens of Denmark. While in our timeline, they were rather influential, in this timeline, it's undoubtedly tenfold more so. In 1066, the king of Denmark, a man named Leif, who was adopted by the Estrid family as a baby, had a lesser known claim on England, due to being an Estridsen, and declared war upon Harald Hardrada, Harold Godwinson, and William the Bastard. Once Harold Godwinson killed Harald Hardrada at Stamford Bridge, the Estrid king besieged York while Harold rode south. When he died at the battle of Hastings, William too rode North, into an ambush. When William was killed, the kingdom then belonged to the last man standing, the King of Denmark. Of course, after taking England, they then set their sights on the entire island, eventually going after Scotland and Wales. Finally, after taking Ireland as well, they then kept the kingdoms separated so as to not grow too much in power. Eventually, in the late 1390s, they formed the Kalmar union. In our timeline, when the Union historically fell in the 1500s, the Estrid dynasty was already long dead. However, in this timeline in the 1500s, the Estrid dynasty was still alive and kicking, and instead formed Scandinavia. Before this though, in the 1460s, the Scandinavians would found the colony of Vinland, in Canada. Eventually though, the British sides of the Estrid family would be finally killed off at this time, from the 1810s and until the early 1830s, and without any legal heirs, the British peoples decided to do their own thing. Scotland and England (now known as Danelaw), would elect new, more local monarchs, while Ireland and Wales would become republics. When the Estrids caught wind of this, they were very much outraged, declaring war. But, with the help of a coalition of French, Portuguese, Spanish, Dutch, and Russians, the British peoples were finally freed. With the treaty of Copenhagen, the British islands would be free to do what they wished, without Scandinavian influence or interjection. Eventually, this would lead to a fascist takeover of Danelaw in the 1910s, but Scotland would remain a monarchy. Ireland and Wales would remain republics too. Try as they might, an Estrid king would never rule in Britain again. Scandinavia would remain a monarchy ruled by House Estrid though.

750,000 – You failed to beat House de Normandie. What if, instead of beating Harold Godwinson, William was killed at Hastings? Thereby, of course, preserving Harold's rule as King of England, but also forcing William's children to abandon England? If this was the case, well, now we know. Instead of trying again immediately to invade England, the de Normandie house would, instead, go a bit more local in their ambitions. Upon regrouping after William's death, they would then try to take France by force, à la War of the Roses style. However, this would be forced to wait. The First Crusade at this point in time was called and the French kingdom was rallied in the fighting for Jerusalem. Of course, to rub salt on the wound, someone from the de Normandie house was not made the ruler of the Kingdom of Jerusalem. After many years of plotting and going unnoticed (luckily!), the de Normandie house finally declared war on France to install a dynasty member onto the throne. After winning the long and arduous war, the de Normandie house was finally sat atop a kingdom. Then, after this, (over the span of a few centuries), by the 1470s, the de Normandie house was able to consolidate the lands held by The Empire of West Francia, from when Charlemagne was emperor. Then, after the Burgundian succession crisis was won by France, the empire held France, Northern Iberia, Flanders, Brittany, and Burgundy. Then, in the 1490s, of course, a new world was discovered by Christopher Columbus, who was now employed by France. This caused a rush by European powers, who were now colonizing and fighting more over these colonies. The French had Louisiana, Quebec, and an island called Haiti and an area of South America they called Guiane. Then, after three centuries, France and England came to blows once more, souring their relations up to today. France of course, bested the English, and took Canada from England, but left them with the Thirteen Colonies. Eventually, after years of no representation in the English Government, the thirteen colonies revolted, which were greatly helped by the French. Declaring their own government, the USA was born. This eclipsed Britain's power for centuries to come. Eventually came the 1910s and 1920s. The First World War pitted Britain and France against each other once more, Britain on the side of the Central Powers, (with Portugal by extension), and France with the Entente. The Entente crushed the Central Powers, and in the ensuing peace deal, Britain and Austria would take the brunt of the fall, with Germany and the Ottomans taking a lesser fall, due to their alliances getting them twisted up in the mess. Eventually, Britain would fall to fascism, plunging the island into darkness… France meanwhile, was ready for the British and a third round of war.

500,000 – You failed to beat House Ibn Sahr. Founded by Jalid Ibn Sahr, who was actually a pirate mercenary from Salé, in Morocco. While he was hired by Muslim rulers from all over North Africa, he was eventually given his home province, where he then began to raid Catholic places in Spain and Southern France. When a Crusade was called for the return of Jerusalem to the Catholics, he joined the fighting, only to die in battle at the young age of 36. Following his footsteps, his young son ruled from Salé as a pirate mercenary as well. However, the dynasty wasn't famous because of Jalid or his son. In the 1200s, when the Catholics were nearly about to erase the Muslim population of Iberia in the Reconquista, the ruler of Salé, Nusayr Ibn Sahr, joined the call to arms for his brothers in the faith in Granada. After stopping the Catholics, he returned home to Salé, where the Granadan people decided to help him rule Morocco as a whole. War was declared and he won, despite Morocco being more powerful. Eventually, when Andalusia was actually reformed, with help by Elias Ibn Sahr, a few generations after Nusayr, he married his heir to one of the daughters. In the 1440s, a pirate republic was set up in Morocco. Shortly afterward, in the 1490s, Moroccan trade ships found new lands to the West after trying to find an alternate, shorter trade route to India, and a colony was set up. Eventually, taking the entirety of the Caribbean islands, a colonial government was set up, called the colony of "New Salé". After going bankrupt, Andalusia also has war declared upon them by Morocco in the 1550s to vassalize them, where Morocco wins again, thereby becoming one of the most powerful Muslim nations.

400,000 – You failed to beat House Ozai. A dynasty from Tibet, the founder, a man named Tenzin, traveled to Sikkim as a mercenary in 1095. Eventually, after not being paid, he himself besieged the royal palace there, killing the count and beginning the Ozai family's ascent to power. Eventually, after taking Nepal and Bhutan over, he converts the people to Confucianism. However, the Empire of China didn't like this, for some reason, and threatened to go to war if he didn't accept their vassalization offer. After doing so, he travels to the capital of China to curry favor with the Emperor there. Afterwards, the Ozai family were fairly loyal to their Chinese overlords, at least until the Mongol hordes would stomp out China with the hooves of their horses. Being able to stay out of the Mongolians' sights by paying tribute to them, when the Great Khan dies, the family consolidates more power over Tibet and Bengal. Soon the house split into two. One ruling Tibet and one ruling Bengal. The two families intermarried many times, but no defects were seen until one unfortunate birth in the late 1700s. However, the boy was not the heir to the throne, and so not much is known about him. Aside from his birth defect, which was actually a parasitic twin attached at the head, the first of his kind to be documented, and the fact that he died very young, at about 4 years old.

300,000 – You beat House Na'il. A Muslim dynasty of Palestine. This story centers mainly around the failures of the first and second crusades. During the first Crusade, the Na'il dynasty were counts of Jerusalem and Acre. Fighting the Crusaders back, they were rewarded with lands and riches in Palestine. The duchy titles of those lands now belonged to them. When the Second Crusade came to Palestine, they held the Crusaders back yet again, but this time, a man named Najib Na'il was able to consolidate his power and name himself as Sultan of Palestine. Eventually, a Jihad was called for Iberia, and the Muslims won, but not without a price. The Third Crusade was successful and took Palestine from the Na'il dynasty. This is when another ruler, named Ali Rushdi Na'il "converted" to Catholicism, but still practiced Islam in secret, in order to keep his titles and lands. The Catholics were none the wiser as he continued consolidating his power, eventually declaring war upon the new Kingdom of Jerusalem, and winning, kicking the Catholics out. The Na'il house then began persecutions of Christians under their rule, while simultaneously growing to become stronger for if the Catholics called another Crusade. However, eventually the Black Death spread across the world, affecting the Na'il dynasty greatly to the point that the male line completely died out, leaving one young girl who was six years old at the head of Palestine. Her name was Sayyida, and she, while young and deemed not fit to rule early on, proved that assumption wrong. Ruling for nearly 70 years, she expertly countered the ninth crusade, and in doing so, took Cyprus and Crete from the Christians. However, after her death, the Na'il dynasty was no more.

250,000 – You beat House Kandeh. This dynasty hails from Mali in 1337. While no Mansa Musa, the founder of this dynasty, a man named Gibril, was able to hold his own against many kingdoms, including even Morocco. After consolidating his lands, he was able to create the empire of Mali, including all of its de Jure lands, after warring against the many other tribal leaders of those lands like Araouane and Teghazza. Eventually, a descendant of Gibril, named Musa coincidentally, discovered a new continent in 1500. Mali was in an uproar over the discovery, and colonists flooded these new lands. Discovering the Northeastern tip of Brazil, they eventually also spread from the area and to the West, towards modern day Guyana. Over the next few centuries, Mali's colonies in South America were destroyed by Europeans, however they would continue being a nation until the 1880s, when they were overthrown by a European country. After European colonists took over the lands, the Kandeh house came to rule Mali once more after revolting in 1901, up until the 1930s, when a pro-democracy faction was elected to parliament and therefore changed politics in Mali forever.

200,000 – You beat House Drachen. Following the Duchy of Angria being formed in 1207, the House was dead by 1287. What exactly happened? Well, being in the Holy Roman Empire was a downside for House "Dragon". Every other Duke, Count, and King wanted more and more lands. Unfortunately, for House Drachen, the founder, a man named Klaus was rather old, but did have a son. However, his son wanted nothing to do with ruling, instead wanting to be a Crusader for the Teutonic Knights, which unfortunately took him out of the line of succession. This left Klaus to adopt another son. However, when the adopted son inherited his throne, the other son declared war on him. Taking a mercenary army with nearly the same amount of men that the adopted son had also wasn't good. However, when the two finally met on the battlefield, each of their forces killed the other. The adopted son unfortunately was killed by friendly fire, while the real son was killed by his enemies. Thus ending the Drachen dynasty before it could really begin.

150,000 – You beat House Tanasheva. A dynasty that only lasted for one generation. The entire dynasty was killed following the Mongol invasion of the Steppe, and Circassia, which this House lived in. However, while the entire dynasty was supposedly killed, a few pretenders have risen against the Russian Empire, claiming to be descendants of this House. One of whom was actually successful. A man named Hetsiqe Tanasheva actually defeated the Russians in 1914, during WW1, furthering the German war machine, and giving rise to Circassian, and also Caucasian independence.
