Chapter 6

Toothless and the group of Furies arrived to the Hidden World. They dove down and entered. All the dragons looked up and saw the Night Furies coming in. Toothless led them to the crystal. He roared to them to land down below, close to the crystal. Toothless and his family landed on the crystal. All the dragons looked in his direction.

"Everyone. I have brought back my family. I would like you to treat them with respect and to treat them like you would treat others." Toothless looked down at the Night Furies. "Night Furies. Welcome to the Hidden World."

All the dragons went down to meet the newcomers. Toothless looked on proudly. Then something caught his eye. He saw movement and what he thought was a flash of red. He narrowed his eyes, focusing on that particular spot.

Then he caught it. A dragon the color of red and black with long sharp teeth and a stinger at the end. Death Gripper! Then he saw another on the other side, near the crystal. An ambush!

"EVERYONE FLY!" he roared.

All at once the Death Grippers, Night Furies, and dragons all flew up, frantically flying in all directions. The Death Grippers started attacking random dragons, trying to get to the Furies.

"Midnight! Round up the Night Furies and place them down on the ground!" Toothless ordered her.

"Right!" Midnight said. She flew to gather her family.

"Luna. Get the NightLights to safety!" Toothless told her.

Luna nodded and she and the NightLights camoflauged and flew to safety.

"Guys! Let's take out the Death Grippers!" Toothless said to his friends.

They all took out the Death Grippers one by one. Once they were all taken down, Toothless roared to call everyone back.

"Midnight. How is everyone?" he asked her.

"They're okay. They're all here." Midnight said.

Luna and the NightLights appeared beside Toothless.

"Luna. Are you okay?" he asked her.

"I'm fine. The little ones are alright." she unfolded her wing to reveal the NightLights huddled up.

"Toothless. You said we'd be safe here." Midnight said.

"I know. I was wrong. Maybe you should go back to the island." Toothless said.

"Maybe? We will go back. I've been protecting them ever since Grimmel started hunting us. I'm sorry Toothless but I can't trust you enough to be our alpha." Midnight flew to her dragons and told them to head back to the island.

Toothless sighed. Luna nuzzled him. "You tried your best."

"I know. Cloudjumper, make sure you and Stormfly get them to saftey." he told them.

"Of course." Cloudjumper said. He lifted into the air.

"We'll get them safe." Stormfly replied. She followed Cloudjumper.

Toothless watched them go, saddened that he lost his hope and trust with the Night Furies.
