Chapter 9

Toothless was on an isolated island. He was pacing back and forth, planning a way to get rid of Ivy without killing her. He was accompanied by a Razorwhip named Windshear, Heather's old dragon. Toothless explained what has happened, hoping Windshear would help him.

"I don't know how to help you Toothless. You stepped down as alpha willingly. No other dragon has done that ever." Windshear said to him.

"I know. I want to get rid of Ivy but without killing her. I am not the type to kill." Toothless said. He was still pacing back and forth.

"You know. You don't have to kill her. You could always injure her to a point where she won't be able to hurt anyone." Windshear suggested.

"You're right. I can do that. But I won't be doing it alone." Toothless was about to fly off but before he did, he turned back to Windshear.

"Thanks Windshear. It was nice seeing you again." He flew into the sky.

"You too!" Windshear called.

Back at the Isle of Night, Ivy was living like a queen. She had the Night Furies be her servants. Luna and the NightLights were still being held as hostage. Pago kept an eye on them.

"Mommy, where's daddy?" Pouncer whispered to her mother.

"I am not sure Pouncer. I hope he finds a way to get rod of her." Luna glances at Ivy.

Ivy caught the Light Fury looking at her and she narrowed her eyes. Luna quickly looked away before Ivy starts to get suspcious.

But then, the Night Furies gasped as they looked up. Luna and the NightLights looked up as well and they grew happy with smiles. Toothless glided towards them and landed at the edge of the island.

The NightLights ran up to him and they each nuzzled him. Luna walked up to him and they both nuzzled.

"You! I told you to stay away!" Ivy snarled as she walked towards them.

"I did stay away. But I came back to stop you." Toothless said.

"Stop me? How would you do that when I'm practically death." Ivy said.

"Because I have what you don't. Family." Toothless roared and a whole group of Light Furies materalized from the sky. "Attack!" he cried out.

All the Light Furies dive-bombed towards Ivy. Once they got close enough, they showered her with blasts of fire. While Ivy was distracted, Toothless' friends appeared and started gathering the Night Furies.

"Okay. Everyone I have a plan. I have 20 Skrills waiting for us in those clouds over there. I would like all of you to fly to them and wait til I give you the signal. Luna, I'll have you and the NightLights escorted back to the Hidden World." Toothless said.

"Okay but, will you be alright?" Luna asked.

"I'll be fine. Now go." Toothless told everyone.

Once everyone was heading towards their position, Toothless ordered the Light Furies to stop the attacks. When the smoke around Ivy has cleared, she saw Toothless standing there alone.

"You!" she snarled.

"Come and get me." Toothless said. He shot into the air with Ivy following close behind.
