Adrian wasn't happy, he kept seeing video footage of Marrine telling off Alya, be it this Drama Queen, Abra-Catastope, or Mariposa. Adrian thought he needed to remind Marinette of the high road, because this was effecting his class. Nathalie came to his room and told him they would be leaving Paris for a few days to the town near Marinette school. Adrian figured he may use this to try to convince Marinette.
Lila managed to convince Nathalie to come along for the ride.
In town Marinette, Chloe and Haley were in town having tea at a cafe talking about their perchance at the thrift store. Chloe said "If someone told me before I would find these great sunglasses at a thrift store a few months ago, I would have thou t you lost your mind, seriously these look better than my old pair." Marinette smiled and said "I already have came with the perfect outfit to make to go with my new beret." Haley said "I'll fell more like a journalist with my slightly used camera bag." Haley then put her camera in it.
As they were enjoying themselves Adrian and Lila saw them and Adrian decided to have a word with her. Adrian said "Hey Marinette." Marinette seeing him simply said "Hi." Adrian said "Can I talk to you?" Marinette said "We're talking now." Adrian said "In private." Chloe said "Whatever you have to say, you can say in front of us." Adrian decided to just pull Marinette to a private area, but Haley decided to go to eavesdrop.
When he thought they had enough privacy, Adrian said "What did you think you were doing?" Marrinete said "I thought I was drinking tea with friends." Adrian said "That's not what I meant, I meant telling off Alya, not once but thrice. People were recording those things." Marinette said "I didn't record them, I was simply telling Alya like it is, unlike you." Adrian said "Listen when I said take the high ground, that doesn't only include Lila, many of my classmates, who were your classmates are getting a rough time because of those videos." Marinette said "Listen, if taking the high road means doing nothing and let people to suffer when they didn't deserve it, I don't want any part of it."
Haley listening in, remembered Marinette telling her about a boy she used to like saying to take the high road and said that liar's lies weren't hurting anyone, well remembering the students that have suffered with Alya, Haley got mad at Adrian for insisting Marinette not speak the truth, she then saw Lila trying to make Marinette seem like a bad gut to Chloe, thankfully Chloe knew better, but still the fact that these two were the cause of Marinettes pain made Haley angry.
In Hawk-moth's lair he could sense Haley and said "The anger of a friend, not wanting friend to suffer." He put dark energy into a butterfly and said "Fly, my little akuma, and evilize her." The akuma fused with Haley's camera bag and Hawk-moth said "Truthilizer, I hear you want to help a friend, I'm willing to help you, if you'll help me." Haley said "Those who lie and lies grow deserve to be exposed." Haley then changed.
As Adrian and Marinette continued to argue the heard strange blasts, they went and saw a girl in an outfit similar to Lady Wi-fi, only instead of black she had dark gray, and instead of white she had light gray and instead of the symbol she carried a camera bag, Marinette recognized her yelled "Haley, what are you doing?" Haley said "It's Truthilizer now, I'm just practicing before I get my real targets." She opened her bag at a blond woman who suddenly said "My hair isn't naturally blonde and my contacts are colored." Truthilizer, fired at more people causing them to blurt out their secrets, Truthilizer then saw Adrian trying to sneak away, she grabbed him and said "On down one to go, Lila tried to walk away, but Truthilizer fired at her, Lila was about to spill her guts, but covered her mouth, Truthilizer said "Not in a chatty mood, don't worry, I have the perfect place for you to share all your little truths." Truthilizer then garbed Lila and with her targets in tow she leap up to where she was going.
Marinette and a hiding Chloe nodded. Marinette said "Tikki, spots on!" And change to Ladybug. Chloe said "Pollen, buzz on!" And changed to Yellow Jacket. Yellow Jacket said "Isn't Haley in the AV club." Marinette said "Your right, she probably went there." And off they went.
At the AV room, Truthilizer, was setting up cameras leaving Adrian and Lila tied up. Truthilizer said and now with a few modifications, people all the way in Paris will see this interesting story." Adrian asked "What story?" Truthilizer said "Why Lila telling the world all her lies, especially the ones about her claiming Marinette bullied her." Lila said "It's true!" Truthilizer said "Oh really?" She fired a small beam and suddenly Lila said "It didn't happen, I actually told Marinette I would destroy her friendships." Truthilizer said "That's what I thought, and Adrian, from what I heard while you knew Lila was lying about Marinette you did nothing, you don't have to answer yet, but when people see that Adrian Agrest was a bystander of those lies, I wonder how this will affect Gabriel's fashion empire."
Both Ladybug and Yellow Jacket got to the AV room just before things were ready to be broadcast. Ladybug told Yellow Jacket to get the two to safety, Yellow Jacket then grabbed Lila and Adrian and threw them in a closet and as locking the door said "You two will be safer in there, I have to help Ladybug." Adrian was not happy, not only was he locked in a closet with Lila meaning he can't transform, he couldn't fight alongside Ladybug.
Skip to after the fight, Truthilizer turned back to Haley, Yellow Jacket went to unlock Adrian and Lila. Haley confused said "What happened, the last thing I remember, is hearing that Lila girl telling lies about Marinette and Adrian saying Marinette was wrong." Ladybug said "You changed and wanted to expose Lila's lies for a friend, I'm sure Marinette appreciates having a good friend like that." Ladybug and Yellow Jacket then left.
In town both Chloe and Marinette were enjoying a drink of tea when Adrian came by. Adrian saying e blamed Marinette for Haley being acumatized, because Marinette told her about Lila's lies. Marinette said "Yes I told Haley about Lila, but she and some other girls wanted to know why I transferred. Those girls helped me when I was breaking down thanks to Lila. Another thing is I used to have a crush on you because I thought you were this sweat boy, but now I see is a spineless coward, who'd rather stick his head in the ground when needed instead of doing something. And if you have a problem with me telling Alya my problem with her after an akumatzed person, tell her to stay at your own school instead of coming to events and field trips at my school. So go in your fancy limo and never talk to me again!" Marinette then walked away. Chloe said "Are you feeling OK." Marinette said "Actually yes, I'm glad to get that off my chest.
