It was morning at Beach City. The sun was barely rising making the sky streaked with colors. The waves lapped against the beach peacefully with some sounds from seagulls above the blue water. The wind was cool and the sounds around was relaxing.
Garnet and White Pearl were sitting on top of the beach house, meditating. It was something they did together often after White Pearl had found Garnet on the roof one morning shortly after she joined the Crystal Gems. No one in the house was awake but them.
Garnet glanced over at White Pearl with a small smile on her face before she closed her eyes to continue her meditation. White Pearl opened one eye to look over at Garnet with a smile on her face. She closed her eyes and hummed for a few seconds. White Pearl took a deep breath and relaxed some more.
"Do you think after meditation we could go out and do something?" White Pearl asked feeling slightly nervous.
Garnet smiled bigger and nodded even though they had their eyes closed.
"We will."
White Pearl chuckled. Garnet probably already knew she was going to ask that.
"Well, what are we going to be doing?" she asked.
"It's a secret," Garnet replied making White Pearl blush some.
White Pearl opened her eyes and saw that Garnet was already looking at her.
"That... that sounds nice."
"Would you like to go into the house now?" the fusion asked and White Pearl nodded.
They walked through the screen door and no one was awake still yet. Garnet walked past her and grabbed a magazine off of the stand and handed it to her. White Pearl took it without question and looked at it. It looked like a fashion magazine.
"Maybe you could form out a dress or outfit from this that you like before we go anywhere."
She nodded and smiling bigger.
"I'll see you shortly," Garnet said and she disappeared into her room of the Temple.
White Pearl smiled and held the magazine against her for a minute before she sat down and started flipping through the pages.
A short while later, Garnet was standing on the sandy beach by the beach house stairs. She decided on a reddish violet dress. She waited patiently until White Pearl walked out of the house and down the stairs in a black and white dress. Garnet smiled as White Pearl stood beside of her with a shy smile on her face.
They strolled through Beach City for a while. White Pearl followed Garnet without question while they talked. She felt nervous and excited. She hardly ever dressed up to do anything. She felt happy to have someone to be around. Garnet liked her just the way she was.
"Give me your hand and keep your eyes closed," Garnet said holding out her hand.
"Oh. Ok."
"I promise to led you there. You just have to keep your eyes closed."
White Pearl did as she asked and she closed her eyes. She felt Garnet take her hand and they started walking again. It took everything she had not to open her eyes and look to see where she was stepping. She also didn't disappoint Garnet by opening her eyes.
"We're here. You can open your eyes."
White Pearl opened her eyes. Her eyes widened seeing the restaurant Garnet had taken her too.
"It's so cool looking!"
"It's called The Nova."
The building itself was white and a pale yellow giving it a the bright look of a star. From the outside they could see the lights hanging from the ceiling shaped like stars. It looked beautiful and so calming like. Garnet just smiled seeing the reaction on White Pearl's face.
"Would you like to go in?" Garnet asked and she nodded.
Garnet chuckled and they both walked in to the building.
"Wow."
The place was bright and beautiful. It looked expensive but it was definitely a date night place.
"This is so nice Garnet."
"I'm glad you like it."
Garnet asked the hostess for a booth and they followed her.
"Your server will be here in a minute."
Garnet thanked her and they sat down across from each other.
"I really like this place. Even though we just got here, we should come back again."
Garnet giggled and nodded, "Of course we can."
The waitress came over and they ordered what drinks they wanted then proceeded to look through the menu.
"Wow... even the food is colored in shades of yellow and white. That's so interesting!"
"They had decided to go with a theme. Some people said it looks like it's bland food but it's all very tasteful. They managed to find spices and seasoning with the same color to fit the theme. It's a very well thought out place."
"Oh ok..."
White Pearl hummed for a few seconds, "I know what I want already."
"Really? What did you have in mind?" Garnet asked.
"I want the grilled chicken with mash potatoes and white gravy."
"I think I will have the same with a roll and ice cream for dessert."
"Oooo, I want that too."
They laughed and the waitress came back for their order.
"Thanks for bringing me out here," White Pearl said before taking a sip of her drink.
"Your welcome. Though, would you like to guess why I suggested this place?"
White Pearl tapped her chin, "Because the restaurant looks nice."
She shook her head, "It is but that isn't the reason."
"Oh ok..."
"You can guess again."
"Alright, is it because we are friends?"
"You're getting closer."
White Pearl shrugged with a smile on face, "You can tell me."
"I asked you on a date."
"What is a date exactly?"
"It's what two or more people go out together and do fun things when they really like each other."
White Pearl's face took a dark pink look and she grinned.
"If that's what we are doing, I like it."
Garnet smiled shyly and agreed. She was kind of anxious about asking White Pearl. They hadn't been with anyone else but their self.
"Here you go ladies."
The waitress placed their food in front of them.
"Enjoy!"
They both started eating quietly. It felt somewhat awkward between the two of them. White Pearl had never experienced something like that before so it was hard for her to go on from there. Ruby and Sapphire had always just been together and nobody else. It was definitely exciting though.
White Pearl reached the little bit of food that was left on her plate when she looked up at Garnet.
"What would you like to do after this?"
The fusion gave her a sheepish smile, "I thought maybe we could go to the beach and have some more alone time. What do you think?"
"I think that sounds fun! The water is one of my favorite things about Earth."
They talked a little more while they finished off their food and drinks. Once they paid for everything, they headed out and made their way for the beach. The moon and stars were already out now. The air was chilly and everything was peaceful and quiet.
It seemed so perfect.
The two of them were glance at each giving shy smiles with blushing cheeks. White Pearl reached over slowly and took Garnet's hand. She was nervous considering she never like anyone before. She was glad to be there with Garnet.
"It looks really beautiful out here."
Garnet squeezed her hand, "Yea it is but I think you're more breathtaking than the night sky."
White Pearl looked at her with a surprised look on her face. There was a slight wind that blew in. She smiled and leaned in towards her.
"Thank you."
Garnet caressed White Pearl's face.
"I think you're really beautiful too," she said looking at Garnet, "I think both of you are."
Garnet smiled and kissed her on the lips.
Wow.
The contact was electrifying. White Pearl felt a wave of emotion overcome her. This was what it was like to be loved and appreciated. It was everything she could ever want. It was someone loving her for who she was. Not someone ordering her around to do things.
They fell into the sand with White Pearl laying on top of her.
"Garnet?"
"Yes? Am I going too fast for you?"
She shook her head, "No it's not that. I... um... I think... I love you."
Garnet looked surprised but a smile graced her lips.
"I love you too."
"You do?"
Garnet nodded. White Pearl grinned and kissed her again.
"I can be gentle with you..." Garnet said, "I know it's probably your first time."
White Pearl blushed, "Yea."
Garnet phased off her clothes first then White Pearl did.
"Don't worry. This is the first time I've been with anyone else."
"Really?" White Pearl asked.
"Yea. Ruby and Sapphire have always been together and we never had anyone come into our lives before like this. I want to show you how it feels to be in love and be loved."
White Pearl nodded and kissed her again.
"Show me," she said softly.
X
It seemed time flew by so fast. White Pearl and Garnet laid by each other in the sand panting with flushed cheeks. They had grins on their faces looking up at the sky. They laid there in silence for the longest time taking in everything that had happened on their date and what happened just then. White Pearl spoke first.
"This was the best first date ever."
Garnet laughed, "I knew you would think so."
"Thank you."
"Your welcome."
"I would love to travel with you to different places whenever we can," White Pearl said, "I know I haven't seen everything yet."
"We have plenty of time," she said leaning in to give her another kiss.
"That's true."
"Are you ready to go back to the house?" Garnet asked.
White Pearl nodded. A flash of light came and her dress was back on. Garnet replaced her dress in a flash too. They headed back to the house slowly holding hands with big smiles on their face.
