Outside of Beach City, Garnet was looking at the map on her phone. She ended up getting it as a gift from Steven a few months back but she hadn't messed with it too much until lately. White Pearl was behind her looking around at the surroundings since she had never been there before. She stopped right beside of Garnet and gave her a bright smile.

"You should keep up, we are almost there. We are only a mile from our destination."

"This zoo you mentioned... Is it like the human zoo Pink Diamond had one time?" she asked curiously.

Garnet shook her head.

"No but you'll see when we get there."

The walk was only thirty minutes longer. The gates to the zoo were huge and grand like with iron. White Pearl's eyes were wide upon seeing it. She was expecting something much smaller. She looked in closer to see two large enclosures with metal railings. She could see elephants which was surprising to her since she only seen them on TV.

"Is... is this it?"

Garnet nodded with a smile. The two of them walked in together admiring everything as they passed through the giant iron gates.

"A zoo is a place where animals from all over the world can be placed for people to admire. They sometimes are endangered or brought here because they need to recover or be saved. The people that own this place take care of them so they have happy lives and eat their favorite food. The people have special talents to care for the animals."

"Oh, I see."

"They made sure to build their habitats as close to the real ones the wild animals live in to make them happy."

"Can we go look at all of the animals here?"

"Of course we can! I hoped that you would want too. It'll be interesting to see how life developed after all these years."

Garnet slipped her hand around White Pearl's gently and she led the way.

The first animals they visited was the elephants. They were gray in color and a lot bigger than them. They seemed so gentle to White Pearl and she liked them. A few of them were drinking from the man made river and a few others were eating the hay some people were giving them.

Soon, Garnet took White Pearl to the seal enclosure. They walked over a nice little wooden bridge onto a a concrete platform. They looked through the clear glass and thin, clear nets to see the seals swimming around peacefully. Once they made it down the wooden stairs, there was the underwater tank showing them submerged and swimming about.

White Pearl smiled and pointed at the bleachers so they could sit down and watch the seals with the trainers. The pearl gave the fusion a big smile that made her smile back. It was nice to see her smile. She seemed to really enjoy the whole place so far.

They left the seal show and went on for the rest of the zoo. They saw the tigers, the lions, the different bear they had, including polar bears and even the really tall giraffes. They were all interesting creatures that White Pearl would to love to see in the wild. Earth was truly amazing.

The two gems made it to the building filled with rain forest animals. White Pearl had wide eyes as she looked upon the ocelot then the two giant anteaters. They were so strange to see. The alligators were next then the turtles, the different variety of birds before they came upon another tank filled with piranhas.

Even some of the bats were cute but they were hard to see. There was a huge snake that flickered it's tongue at them as they glanced at it.

They left the rain forest exhibit going towards the outdoor dining area for a quick meal just to try their food. After they ate good, they headed for the reptile exhibit. It was filled with creatures that were slightly similar to the giant snake they had seen. They were so strange looking to White Pearl.

There were snakes of all sizes and colors. Then there were brightly colored frogs and some that were fat and bumpy. A giant python that was yellow in color. Then a big crocodile that was by itself just basking in the sunlight happily with eyes open.

They made it to the aquarium area to strange and bright colored fish. One tank was huge and had some fish in it that White Pearl or Garnet had never ever seen. Once they were out of the fish, they made it to the insect enclosure. It was filled with tarantulas, spiders, weird looking roaches, walking sticks and butterflies of all sizes. The insects weren't White Pearl's favorite part though other than the butterflies.

White Pearl walked through to see large pieces of plexiglass lined up with gorillas inside. There were some climbing the nets and some just sitting on the ground eating fruit. Some were even taking a nap on the trees and the ground just going on about their lives.

Everything there was so nice and peaceful.

"Are you ready?" Garnet asked.

White Pearl nodded reluctantly making the fusion chuckle.

The two of them went to the gift shop that was close to the exit. It was filled with everything that kids would want. There was shirts and hats too. After a short bit, they bought some gifts for the others. They walked back out into the sunlight that was fading outside.

"Did you have fun?" Garnet asked.

"I did! It was a lot better than the human zoo Pink Diamond had and it was a lot more peaceful than I thought."

"It is."

"You think we can go back again sometime?"

"Of course we could."

The two of them held hands all the way home with big smiles on their faces.
