Outside of Beach City in the later afternoon, Lapis was being led by Steven. The two of them were holding hands and he was carrying a bag of his clothes in the opposite hand. They had been walking to this place for quite a while and whenever Lapis would ask where they were going, he would only answer with 'it was a surprise.' It had been a while since it was the two of them alone on a date together.
"Are you sure you don't want to tell me?"
Steven laughed and shook his head. After a short while, she asked again.
"Where are we going?" she asked nugding him playfully.
"I can't tell you when we are so close! Almost there! Cover your eyes now and I'll lead you the rest of the way!"
She smiled and nodded. Her water wings covered her eyes.
"No peeking!" Steven said happily.
"No of course not!"
After a few more minutes, Steven came to a stop and pulled on Lapis' hand to make her come to a halt.
"Open your eyes."
She opened her eyes and looked around. Lapis wasn't exactly sure what she looking at but it looked tropical and it looked beautiful.
"Ta-da!"
She grinned at him.
"This is nice Steven but what is it exactly?" Lapis asked looking curiously at it.
"It's a Hawaiian Resort! There's an island called Hawaii and this is like their culture there! The gems suggested it for us to stay here tonight and tomorrow."
"I like it and it smells so nice... Are those the smell of flowers?"
"Yup, plumeria."
She smiled as Steven took her hand and laid her to the front office to get their key card. Lapis stood off to the side admiring all the palm trees, the bright green grass and the tropical like flowers everywhere. He came walking back with their key card. They passed by a few pools with people in swim suits and a few people sitting at some tables with bright colored drinks.
Steven and Lapis reached their room. He slid the key card into the slot and the door popped open. Lapis smiled as Steven pushed the door open. The walls were green had Hawaiian designs on them. The corners of the room had bamboo and the lamps were tiki shaped masks. The veranda had a safety railing around it and two lounge chairs under umbrella trees.
It was perfect.
They smiled and decided on a nice long walk around the resort together. The sun made the sky streak in bright colors as it started set. When they returned to their room, they popped the door open and went back inside. The queen sized bed looked nice with the totems at the sides of the bed frame.
Steven changed into some pajamas and replaced his bag back onto the table. The two of them climbed into the bed with tired smiles on their faces. They snuggled under the blankets together.
"Goodnight, I love you."
"Goodnight, love you too Lapis."

The two of them were in the little kitchen of their room, eating breakfast at their little table. They had waffles with slices of pineapple on top with a cherry, scrambled eggs, bacon and sausages on the side. The morning was nice and cool and the sun was already starting to rise in the sky. They had a great night in their queen sized bed.
"What should we do after breakfast?" Lapis asked.
"Well, there's beach on the backside of the resort we can go too. I think we should check the weather first just in case. Let me turn on the news."
Steven got up, grabbing the remote and returned to his seat at the table and turned on the TV.
"Looks like some rain a little later..." Steven said out loud.
"A little rain never bothered me anyways," Lapis said with a big smile.
"Me either."
The two of them headed for the beach, dressed in their swim suits. The water was already a nice comfortable warm temperature. After swimming for a little bit, Lapis started using her powers to make some small waves while Steven jumped into them. She started making cool shapes in the air then letting them drop into the water.
Once afternoon hit, they headed for the outdoor dining area, eating a pizza with half pepperoni and half pineapple. It was very good and they had a couple of pineapple mixed drinks along with it before going to the beach and laying on a big, blue beach blanket. They laid down for a while watching the clouds pass by.
"This has been a nice date. I'm glad we came."
"Me too. I think we should bring the others here at sometime too."
"I think that sounds like a good idea."
Steven blinked.
"What's wrong-
A drop of water hit Steven's head.
"Is that rain?" Lapis asked.
Water droplets came down faster. The two of them got up, grabbed their blanket and ran to their room. Once they got the door shut, thunder clapped then the lightning started. The two of them pulled back the curtain and watched as the rain came down hard and thunder sounded again. They watched for a short while before realizing that the day was almost over.
"Is there a tub in here?"
"If I remember right, yes. It can also be a hot tub."
"That sounds even better! Let's get in!"
The two of them climbed into the hot tub and sank into the hot water. Steven scooted closer to Lapis, slinging an arm around her shoulder. She smiled at him before kissing his lips. He ran his fingers through her ocean colored hair making her shiver. They kissed more intensely, sinking into the water some.
Lapis climbed onto his lap and lowered herself onto Steven. He entered her, making them both moan loudly. She moved herself slowly at first, both of them enjoying every single movement. Lapis gripped onto his shoulders, softly saying his name as she quickened her pace. Steven held her close as they both came together in the hot water. She buried her face into his neck and breathed heavily.
"I love you Steven."
"I love you too..."
They washed off and dried off after a while. They grinned and got ready for bed. Lapis and Steven watched a little bit of TV before drifting off to sleep in each other's arms.

The two of them got up in the morning and had breakfast again before packing up. The two of them headed out together after paying for their stay. Steven climbed on Lapis back and they flew home together with smiles on their faces.
