"Man I can't believe it's been so long since I last updated this story" said Amaya

"Well a lot has happened so it couldn't be avoided" said Miyuki

"How about we stop talking and we get this chapter started" suggested Jack floating above them

"He's right but umm... Where are the girls?" said Amaya looking around.

"We're here!" Rapunzel, Merida, and Emma came running towards them with Toothless right behind them

"Bibbidi Bobbidi Bo!" said Miyuki with the wand and Toothless was a dog again.

"Alright everyone, to your places!" yelled out Amaya "Let the show begin!"

Chapter 5: Justice!

Quasimodo never thought that this day would ever come, he was able to come out of his tower and was finally at the Festival of Fools. Not only that but he was the King of Fools and he was relief that the people weren't scared of him; it was truly the best day he ever had in all his life. From above, the Gargoyles whoop and cheer for Quasimodo feeling really happy that their boy was finally able to join the festival with everybody.

Among the crowd that were cheering the bell ringers name, Hiccup, Rapunzel and Emma were there watching with amazement of the new King of Fool's. Emma never thought she would see the mysterious bell ringer in person, but here he is crown as the King. The girl notice the happy look on the bell ringer's face and felt glad that he was enjoying himself since this could be his fist ever time out of the bell tower. Emma look around the crowd wondering where her brother could be but then her eyes spotted two familiar guards that chased after her and Jack earlier.

Two familiar guards Rick and Brutus were watching the spectacle and were not the least amused that is until the fat guard made a sly smile while tossing a tomato in the air with his hand "You think he's ugly now? Watch this!"

Quasimodo was adjusting his crown with a smile on his face and then the fat guard throws the tomato at him, hitting Quasi right in the face.

The crowd gasped and quickly goes quiet.

"Now that's ugly!" Laughs Brutus and Rick joins in.

Emma eyes widen with shock that the guard did that, Quasimodo was confuse to what just happen and then began hyperventilating while looking at the crowd.

"Hail to the king!" Said another guard who smiled as he too tossed tomato on the hunchback.

The crowed kept gasping at the scene while some shriek, Quasimodo used his left arm to shield his face from the flying tomatoes that kept coming towards him.

"Bon Appetit!" Said another guard.

Soon Quasimodo was being attack by flying fruits and vegetables by the audience who began to partake in the game.

"W-Why are they doing this?!" Asked Rapunzel grabbing Hiccup's arm "Is this supposed to be funny?!"

"No, it's not! This is not how it should be!" Replied Hiccup not understanding what's going on.

Quasi tried to get off the platform he was standing on, to get away from getting hit anymore. Unfortunately, Quasimodo slipped on a crushed tomato and fell on his side, because of that the Parisian people began to laugh. Quasi was trying to get away but was unable due to being attack by fruits and veggies coming from every direction, he suddenly saw an opening to get away from the humiliation.

"Where you going hunchback?" Spoke a blonde man with a cruel smile on his face. He had on his hands a rope that he was twirling around with one hand above his head "The fun just beginning!" He laughed as he throw the rope towards the hunchback. The blonde man manages to get the rope to lasso around Quasimodo's neck, Quasi instantly put one hand to his neck and tries to get the rope off but when the man pulled the rope with such force Quasi fell towards his side again.

The crowd kept laughing and clapping at him having no disregard for his wellbeing, except for Hiccup, Rapunzel and Emma who had the same anguish expression from seeing the cruelty that these so called people are allowing to happen. Then suddenly another rope caught one of Quasimodo's wrist which made him drop his scepter, both men were pulling the ropes to hold Quasimodo down like some sort of animal.

Emma couldn't take watching this anymore and knew that it had to be stopped "I'm going to find Jack!" She told Hiccup and quickly ran to find her brother.

"Emma wait!" Shouted Hiccup but already lost sight of her in the crowd and before he could think of going after her, he sees Rapunzel leaving his side and going towards the stand.

"Stop it! Stop this stop this right now!" cried out Rapunzel as try to get the crowd to stop torturing the poor boy.

"Rapunzel!" Yelled Hiccup as he followed her with Toothless.

Inside a green tent Jack had took off his performance clothes and put on his regular gypsy attire, his mind was still on the unexpected show up of the bell ringer of Notre Dame. Never in his life did Jack thought that such a person like him existed, not to mention his strange physical appearance. And to think he was the same person that he saw earlier when he entered the girl's tent.

"I seriously did not see that coming" laughed Jack as he grab his staff.

"Jack! Jack! JACK!"

The white hair gypsy boy recognize that voice even in his sleep and immediately ran out of his tent and was met with his little sister, who hug him with enough force to knock him off his feet and landed his rear end on the ground.

Jack looked at his sister and began to panic when he saw the tears flowing down her face "Emma what's wrong? Are you hurt?!"

"Jack please stop them!" Emma exclaimed.

"Stop them? Stop who?!" Jack asked not understanding.

Emma pointed her finger to where the crowd was and yelled out "Them! You have to stop them!"

Jack looked to where his sister was pointed and was shock to what he was seeing, not just a few seconds ago everything was happy and festive after the crowing of the King of Fools, but now the gypsy boy was seeing the crowed of Parisian throwing fruits and vegetables at the bell ringer and laughing as they had ropes on him like he was a prize cattle.

The Parisian continued to laugh at this awful display while Quasimodo was moaning in agony. Quasi then pulled himself up so hard that he ripped the back of his shirt, he then used his momentum to pull hard on one of the ropes that was attach to his wrist. With the force he was able to pull the man towards him off his feet, then more people started to swing more ropes at him while continuing to throw food towards him. Quasimodo was trying very hard to break free from the ropes, he manage to break two ropes off but two men suddenly jumped on top pf him to tie him down.

Soon the poor hunchback had his hand bound behind his back along with more ropes on his back. He looked behind him to see two men smiling cruelly and looking proud at what they done.

Quasimodo looks up ahead towards the crowd in horror while the two men bend over and began to spin the wheel that the hunchback was on top of. The audience was enjoying themselves as they kept throwing food at the bell ringer while laughing and pointing at him, Quasi was watching his world go round in panic.

Esmeralda got out of her tent curious to what the commotion outside was about, as she took off her tiara her eyes were trained on the awful scene she was witnessing. Merida came out as well and was stun to what she was seeing, Jack got up from the ground and help his sister but didn't take his eyes away from the horrid scene.

A man was about to throw another tomato but his wrist was grabbed by a blonde girl who took the fruit from him and threw it at the ground.

"What do you think you're doing?!" the man yelled out.

"Stopping a horrible person like you, from torturing him!" told Rapunzel with anger in her eyes.

"Oh please, he's nothing but an ugly freak" said the man.

"The real ugly freak is YOU!" Rapunzel yelled out.

The man didn't like what she said and raised his fist "Why you-"

His was stop by an Auburn hair young man who grabbed his wrist and twisted it that made the man yelp from the pain.

"Touch her and you'll walk out of here with more than a broken hand" threaten Hiccup and Toothless help by growling at him. With that the Man snatch his hand back and moved away from them.

As he kept being spin around Quasimodo sees Frollo watching from afar and shouts "Master!"

Frollo just hunched his head down while glaring at him at the boy "Master, please help me!" Quasi cried out for help, but Frollo simply sneered in disgust and turned his head away from the hunchback.

Quasimodo finally stopped spinning but that didn't stop the crowd from throwing food at him.

Phoebus has had seen enough "Sir, request permission to stop this cruelty" he says while on his horse.

"In a moment, Captain" replied Frollo as he made a satisfied smile "A lesson needs to be learned here"

Suddenly the crowd gasps and goes silent, Phoebus and Frollo look up to the stage and see the same gypsy girl from before ascending the steps. Rapunzel was thankful that someone was finally putting a stop to this cruelty and Hiccup couldn't be any happier that Esmeralda showed up. Jack tells his little sister to go back to Hiccup and to stay with him; Emma nodded and went towards the apprentice blacksmith. Jack and Merida knew that things will get crazy but that's nothing new to them.

Esmeralda takes slow steps towards the hunchback, she was feeling sad and mad of what the crowd has done to the innocent boy. Quasi was surprise to see the same gypsy girl again and wondered why she's here? From the angle he's seeing her, she almost looked like an angel with how the sun light shines around her like a halo. Esmeralda unties her sarong "Don't be afraid" she says her voice sounding soft and gentle as she got close to him. Quasimodo closed his eyes frighten that she might hurt him, the gypsy girl's face became more sadden that he was scared of her thinking she will hurt him because of what the audience did "I'm sorry".

After hearing those words Quasi looks at the gypsy girl again and sees her kneel right next to him "This wasn't supposed to happen" Esmeralda said then uses her sarong to clean his face gently. Quasimodo was surprise by her kindness but was very thankful for it.

Frollo stood up from his chair "You! Gypsy girl! Get down at once!"

Esmeralda stops cleaning Quasimodo's face and ties her sarong back to her waist "Yes, your honor. Just as soon as I free this poor creature"

"I forbid it!" He says firmly.

Esmeralda narrowed her eyes are at the judge then lifts her skirt up to show a dagger place in here left calf, she whips it out and cuts the ropes holding Quasimodo.

The crowd gasped for her action and Frollo was holding all his rage inside trying to keep his composer "How dare you defy me!"

"You mistreat this poor boy the same way you mistreat my people" stated Esmeralda her eyes full of fury as she looked at the so called "righteous" judge with anger "You speak of justice, yet you are cruel to those most in need of your help"

"Silence!"

"JUSTICE!"

The crowd gasped louder and became even more astonish for the gypsy girl's boldness of willing to defy the authority of Judge Claude Frollo. Esmeralda turns back to Quasi then removes the loose ropes off of him and helps him up to his feet.

Jack and Merida both made satisfied smiles for Esmeralda's courage to stand up for not only the bell ringer but also for everyone who's been look down upon from Judge Frollo so called "Justice". Emma couldn't help but smiled wide from admiring Esmeralda's words, and so did Hiccup and Rapunzel.

Frollo was even more furious and was not going to let the gypsy girl have her way "Mark my words, gypsy. You will pay for this insolence"

"Then it appears we've crowned the wrong fool" announce Esmeralda as she grabs the King of Fool's crown from Quasimodo and held it up to the judge "The only fool I see is you!" She threw the crown towards Frollo landing in front of him, which made the crowd laughed for what the gypsy girl said and her friend goat Djali blew a raspberry sound at the judge.

Frollo has had enough of the gypsy girl's intolerance "Captain Phoebus! Arrest her!" He ordered.

Phoebus obeyed and snaps his fingers and motioned for his guards to move in to the stage. The crowd grew silent and whispers began to be heard as they watched the guards surround the stage.

Rapunzel began to worry but felt a hand place on her shoulder making her look at Hiccup "Don't worry" he said giving her a reassure smile "She got this".

"If anything you should be worried about the guards" sneakered Emma. Rapunzel was confuse but nodded, believing what her new friends had said.

Quasimodo started to panic as the guards surrounded them but Esmeralda's face didn't show any sign of worry or fear at the situation. She place a hand on her hip and began to count the guards "Now, let's see; One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, so there's ten of you, and one of me" said Esmeralda as she pulls out a blue handkerchief from her inside her blouse and makes a sad expression "What's a poor girl to do?" She begins to cry sounding like a damsel in distress, but then she blew on the handkerchief causing a puff of smoke to explode and making her disappear, the crowd gasped and Quasi looks surprise.

Frollo glares at the spot that she vanished "Witchcraft"

"Oh, boys! Over here!"

Everyone looked at where the voice was coming from and saw that the gypsy girl was in the hanging platform execution. Esmeralda smiled and made herself look silly by placing her head on the basket full of pumpkin heads and her goat Djali did the same. The crowd laughed at the silly display and so did Hiccup, Rapunzel and Emma.

"There she is!"

"Get her!"

Esmeralda looked to her left and saw that it was the same two guards from earlier, who were climbing on the platform. Esmeralda and Djali ran towards the edge of the stage and jumped off and were on top of the crowd who were carrying them away to safety, she smiles and waves at the two guards.

Rick and Brutus attempt to do the same thing and jump off, but the crowd quickly moves away making them both end up falling and hit the ground with a loud crash from their armor. The two guards were in pain then suddenly a shadow looms over them and look up to see the White hair gypsy boy with both hands behind his back.

"Hey guys! Miss me?" Jack smirks then shows two rotten tomatoes in his hands and he threw the tomatoes directly at their faces that made the crowd around them to laugh. Both men glare at him and Jack took that moment to run and both guards chased after him.

Esmeralda jumps off the crowd and so does Djali, she hears foots steps and see's three guards behind her. She acts quickly and jumps on a large cage that was containing an old man as a prisoner, she swings forward and knocks the three guards off their feet. The chain that was holding the cage breaks and Esmeralda starts to roll away with Djali running in front of her. As she's rolling the cage, a gypsy man with no legs was sitting on a wooden board with wheels, as soon as he sees Esmeralda coming he begins to use two metal cups to roll away at a remarkable speed. Djali jumps on the board to take a ride with the man and Esmeralda stick her tongue out and jumps off the cage and landed on the board wheel with Djali and the man.

The gypsy man continued on despite the extra cargo on his board and the cage was still rolling behind them. Four guards were chasing after them but a man in a jester costume wearing stilts blocked their path making them stop in their tracks. The jester made a sly smile, lifted his right stilt up and kick the four guard's right in the family jewels in which they cried out in pain.

Esmeralda, Djali and the gypsy man were glad that they weren't followed but were caught surprise that they were heading to a wheeled cart, it cause them to be lifted up a few feet high jumping over four other guards. They landed safely but the wheels on the wooden board broke, the four guards were so surprise by how the gypsies flew that they fail to notice the cage hurdling towards them. The cage crashed onto the guards knowing very well that their backs are going to hurt in the morning.

The old man sees that the cage was open and made a joyous smile "I'm free, I'm free!" He shouts but as he steps out of the cage his left foot hits the metal causing him to trip and fall into a stockade, which closes and locks his hand and head "Dang it".

Hiccup, Rapunzel, and Emma were passing through the crowd to see what was happening, and they made it through right at the moment that they see Esmeralda and Djali being chase by a guard on a horse. In front of them was a jester with stilts, so Djali stops and let's Esmeralda climb on him then she jumps and pulls down the long fabric which got the guard caught and was lunch off the horse and into the air. Quasimodo mouth was opened with surprise for seeing the guard being thrown so high, Esmeralda looks up and catches the guard's helmet with her head and gives a bow to the applauding audience. Then to her left three guards on horses were coming after her but Esmeralda just gave a smile and throws the metal helmet at the guards like a Frisbee and it knocks all three of them out, before almost chopping Phoebus' head off who duck right on time.

"What a woman!" Said a love struck Phoebus.

Two guards surround her but then both of them felt someone tap them on the shoulder, when they turned around they were hit in the face with paint, then Jack used his staff to swing and hit the guard in the stomach and then use the hook of the staff to knock him off his feet. Merida used her elbow to hit the guard in the chest and then flip him over knocking the wind out of him.

Esmeralda praised them "Nice work you two".

"Ah learned frae the best" said Merida.

"Aww thanks Meri" spoke Jack.

Merida smirks "Ah meant Esmeralda"

Esmeralda hears the sounds of horses and sees two more guards coming "Time to go!" She says and all three of them start running. The two guards on horseback chased after them but Esmeralda, Jack, and Merida ran under a jester with stilts, the jester makes a whistle sound and throws the guards his staff, each holding onto an end. Before the guards could stop themselves the horizontal staff slices through the Judge's stand making Frollo to duck for cover. The stand was destroyed and the two guards were knock out of their horses, Frollo rises from under the fabrics and glares at the three gypsies responsible for this.

The crowd cheered and applaud for the event that was unfolded by the gypsies. Esmeralda, Jack, Merida and Djali were lifted up to the top of a stand and the three gypsies gave a bow to the Parisians who applauded at them. Then Jack and Merida threw a smoke bomb of blue and red, Esmeralda grab a purple fabric and wrapped it around herself and Djali and they promptly disappears before the audience eyes.

Frollo manage to find his hat and place it on his head but anger was still boiling from being publicly humiliated by the gypsy witch and her followers. He turns around and his anger rises more for seeing the hunchback, who was feeling scared for the angry expression on his master's face.

Frollo walks off the destroyed stand and goes towards his black horse, he gets on and turns towards Captain Phoebus who approaches him.

"Find her, Captain! I want her alive! And her two followers as well!" ordered Frollo.

"Yes, sir" responded Phoebus and turn to the other guards "Seal off the area, men. Find the gypsy girl and her accomplices, and do not harm them!"

It began to rain but Frollo could care less as he directed his horse towards the hunchback and was in front of him. Quasimodo looks up at his Master, he did not speak nor did he needed to speak, his cold glare was enough for Quasi to know that his master was furious and disappointed at him for disobeying him.

Quasimodo hangs his head low feeling sad and ashamed for what he's done "I'm sorry, master. I will never disobey you again"

Quasimodo jumps off from the stand and the people stood back away from him as if he was some sort of disease that shouldn't be touch or close to. Quasi began to walk and he covered his face with his hands, whether it was not to see the faces of the people or them to see his face Quasi was afraid to look. Hugo, Victor, and Laverne were sadden to see their boy being treated so cruelly, they were so happy from seeing Quasi finally enjoying himself at the festival but was ruined by one single act of cruelty, they may be made of stone but they knew that they had more heart than the people down there. Quasimodo just kept walking with tears in his eyes towards Notre Dame his sanctuary, his home, the place he shouldn't have left in the first place. He moves to the entrance to the cathedral, he goes in, and then slowly closes the door to his freedom never wanting to ever go out to the outside world.

Hiccup, Rapunzel and Emma felt sad for the bell ringer, especially Emma. Everything was going so well in the festival and the bell ringer was so happy being King of fools but was ruined because of the heartless people who treated him like some sort of freak show. Emma couldn't help but feel anger to the Parisian, in their eyes they were looking at him like he was a monster but in her eyes she sees a misunderstood person who just wanted to be accepted, just like how she wishes they would accept her brother and the other gypsies.

Emma felt a hand on her head which made her look up at Hiccup, he gave her a sad smile "Let's get you back to Sister Clarisse" he said and Emma nodded knowing that she had to on the count that it was raining and her brother would have wanted her to get back to the orphanage safely.

"I guess I better get back too?" said Rapunzel. Toothless began to whimper not wanting her to go and Rapunzel gave a sad smile and patted him on the head.

"I can walk you back if you want?" Hiccup offered not wanting her go back alone.

Rapunzel shook her head "That's nice of you but I can go on my own. My house it's not too far from here"

"Are you sure?" He asked.

Rapunzel gave a small smile appreciating his concern but her answer was the same "Yes. Don't worry, I'll be alright"

Hiccup didn't want to leave her but he respected her wishes "If you say so. It was nice meeting you Rapunzel"

"You too" she said.

"Will we see you again?" Asked Emma with a look of hope in her eyes.

Rapunzel gave her a hug "Of course we will. After all we're friends right?"

Emma gave a huge smile and returned the hug "Definitely"

Rapunzel wave to them goodbye and made her way back home, Hiccup then took Emma's hand and they quickly ran to the orphanage with Toothless right behind them.

Meanwhile…

Three certain gypsies were hiding in their tents but knew that they couldn't stay long and needed to escape without getting caught by Frollo and his guards. Esmeralda was peeking through the tent looking for a way for them to get away without being spotted.

"So what do we do now?" Asked Jack as he was able to sneak in since his tent was next to the girls.

Merida had her arms crossed "Obvioosly we cannae stay haur forever"

"No you cannot"

They all flinch feeling a sudden urge of panic from being found out but when they see the shadow of the silhouette on the fabric tent from the man who spoke, they gave a sigh of relief when they recognize the jester clothes.

"You three have become more popular then you already were, especially after pulling that stunt little emerald" said Clopin quietly so not to grab the guards attention. Jack and Merida snickered at the cute nickname, making Esmeralda roll her eyes obviously not amused by it.

"It's best that all of you split up, find a place to lay low for a while and then head to our hideout" was the last thing Clopin said as he walked away.

Esmeralda knew that Clopin was right but still couldn't help but feel uneasy leaving Jack and Merida alone, she doesn't doubt that they can handle themselves but Frollo is involve and she doesn't want them to be punish for something she started.

Esmeralda felt a cold hand on her shoulder and knew that it belong to Jack, she looks at him and sees his signature smirk on his face "If you think we can't manage to escape from Frollo and his guards, then you shouldn't have taken us in the first place" he said.

"Sadly Ah agree with Jack" spoke Merida "It willnae be easy but it's nae th' first time we got intae trooble an' escape with uir lives"

"And it won't be our last" stated Jack.

Esmeralda looked at the two of them and knew from their determine look on thei faces that they'll be fine on their own and if something happens they won't go down without a fight. Esmeralda made a sigh and then a confident smile appears on her face "Don't make me come to your rescue if you get caught"

"They'll have to catch me first. Which we all know that's impossible" bragged Jack.

"Th' day that happens will be th' day Ah kiss Djali" joked Merida.

Jack's blue eyes made contact with the fire gypsy's blue eyes and he made a mischievous smile which got Merida to glare at him and sneered "Dorn't even think abit it Frost"

Esmeralda gave a small laugh from the usual interaction of her two students and then grabs her old gray cloth and a smoke pipe. Esmeralda got one knee down and looks to her goat companion "Come on Djali" Djali climbed on her back and places his front hooves on her shoulder. She put the smoke pipe on the goat and raps the cloth around both of them. Esmeralda picks up a wooden cane and bended down to make the appearance of that of an old man. Before she exist the tent she looks back at Jack and Merida "Be careful" she said and left the tent.

Jack grabs his staff and was about to leave until his white shirt was pulled back and he was force to look at the red head "You do know that I will get caught if I don't leave"

"Jist hauld yer horses for a second" Merida lets go of his shirt and pulls out something from a bag, she pulls out a short cloak with a hood. She raps it around Jack and then lifted the hood up "Thaur now th' guards willnae notice ye and yer hair willnae get dreich" said Merida.

"Instead of worrying about my hair, shouldn't you be worried about yours fire head" smirked Jack.

"Unlike ye frosty, Aam prepared for it" stated Merida as she gave him a small smack on his shoulder "Now go!"

Jack nodded and was about to leave but then turn to her "Remember I owe you a drink. So you better be back"

Merida gave a smirk "I will. And it'll be two drinks Frost"

Jack shrug his shoulders and then made his signature smirk "Tell Hiccup I said 'Thanks' " and he swiftly left the tent.

Merida made a mental note to kill the frost gypsy later but right now she needed to act fast, she quickly began grabbing her hair and making it into an up do hairstyle. Then she put on a bonnet to help hide her massive hair and applied brown paint on her face to make it look dirty so no one would take a second look to her face. Then she grabs a long cloak from the bag and put it on, and then she grab a small box and placed it inside the bag.

When Merida looked at herself over, she gave herself a nod of approval and made her way out the tent.

And just like that our three gypsies split up to hide themselves from Judge Frollo and the hoped they'll see each other soon.

"Man I'm so glad that I finally got to post this chapter" said Amaya

"I can't believe they did that to Quasimodo" said Hiccup feeling upset

Miyuki sighed "Just goes to show you how cruel some people are just because someone is different"

"Thanks again Miyuki for writing that scene" said Amaya as a tear ran down her face "It was too sad and painful for me to do it"

Miyuki hugs Amaya "No problem"

"Ah cannae wait to punch th' people who tortured Quasimodo" said Merida cracking her hands

"They will Merida but that's for another time, as usual everyone please leave a review and I'll do my best to update whenever I can" said Amaya

"SEE YOU SOON!"

"Where did Rapunzel, Jack and Emma go?" asked Hiccup "And I don't see Toothless anywhere"

Miyuki sees a note and reads it "Apparently they wen't out for Ice cream"
