Sora is aware of the raw anger that is coming from Riku. He keeps calm as he watches Riku pace back and forth in their secret hideout, mumbling to himself. He's trying to settle down but it's not working.
Suddenly Riku stops pacing. With a fist to his lip as if in thought, he address Sora.
"What...What were you thinking?"
"I-"
"Why would you get in my way? Why would you...protect that werewolf?! The same werewolf that tried to kidnap you!" Riku's voice raises at the end. He bites his lip. He's still not making eye contact with Sora. This darkness and rage is bubbling.
"He didn't mean anything bad-"
"Didn't mean anything bad?! Sora, he was going to steal you away! He was still trying to steal you away!" Riku locks eyes with Sora. Those aqua eyes trembling, going back and forth from being white. His face is contorted.
"I-I know it seems bad but he-" Sora tries to think of something. Leon just wants to take him away because he knows the truth. He's not a bad person. He's one of his kind. "I know he's not a bad person, he was just-"
"WHY ARE YOU DEFENDING THAT WOLF?!" Riku can't contain his voice. He's shaking. "HE IS A WOLF SORA! A WOLF!"
Sora tenses. He licks his lips and opens his mouth but the words won't come out. Riku's anger towards him is causing him to freeze up.
Riku takes a couple of deep breathes. He's trying to pull himself back. "Wolves took my mother Sora. You know that. They were just normal wolves. Werewolves...they are worse. They have human parts. They know right from wrong. Yet they are still beasts who will rip anything apart. Filthy animals! Who knows what he would have done to you if he was able to steal you away." Riku swallows. "Why? Why would you go against me? Just to protect...that wolf?!"
"I...I wasn't trying to go against you. I just didn't want you to kill Leon-"
"You're on name bases with that wolf?" Riku snarls, his face is starting to get red. "Why does he keep coming after you Sora? What does he want from you?"
Sora pauses at those questions. They are good questions. Questions Sora isn't able to answer. Riku catches how Sora averts his gaze. He can't hide his nervousness from him. Riku knows him too well.
Riku seems to think about something before his breath hitches, those eyes get wide and white. "...What...What did he do to you when you were alone that one time? How long did that wolf have you before we found you?"
"I d-don't know. I was out for bit of it and then-"
"When we found you, you were having a freak out weren't' you?" Riku's aura is starting to fill Sora with unease. Something is about to snap. Sora can feel the tense line of their link.
"I was but-" Sora can't help to yelp in surprise when Riku pushes him against the wall, holding him by his shoulders, pinning him. He's baring his teeth, that darkness threatening to swallow them both whole.
"DID YOU DO ANYTHING WITH THAT WOLF?" His voice is so loud and raw that Sora finds himself sinking into the wall.
"What are you talking about?!" Sora wishes he could keep his emotions in check but there's danger here.
Riku breathes heavily for a moment, he searches Sora's wide eyes for something. When he doesn't find it, he calms, only a little. "Did...Did you touch that wolf? Did he touch you? Did you let that wolf touch you...Like the way I touched you?" He added that part at the end when Sora still looked confused.
"No!" Sora shakes his head quickly, he feels like his eyes are about to pop out of his skull. "Nothing like that happened! Leon would never do that!-"
"He's a wolf Sora! The fact that he's searching you out after that incident...He's full of indecent thoughts. He probably wants to steal you away to make you his mate! Who knows what he could have done to you while you were unconscious-"
"Leon wouldn't do something like that Riku!"
"Why are you defending him again?! He. IS. A. WOLF. Do you trust that wolf over me?!-"
"It's not that I trust Leon over you! He...Just because he's a werewolf doesn't mean he's a bad person! Not all wolves are monsters-" Sora should stop. He knows he's speaking out. He knows he's taking offense to what Riku is saying about Leon but...he should already know his place. Riku despises wolves and Sora is one hiding among them.
"You say nothing happened between you and that wolf but I'm beginning to suspect you fancy this Leon." Riku's voice is low. "How do I know you're not lying to me? Going against me for a wolf? That's not how you would normally act. A wolf? Over me? What is it about him? What did he do for you that you would stand against me?!"
"Riku! I wasn't picking Leon over you! I was just stopping you from killing him! You're my precious brother-"
"I AM NOT YOUR BROTHER!" Riku suddenly gets aggressive again. Sora tenses when Riku grabs his jaw. " I never saw you as my brother. We are not family!-"
"Riku!" Sora feels tears gather at the corner of his eyes. He wasn't expecting those words. Maybe he's made Riku so angry that he hates him now. Their link is still intact but-
Riku looks increasingly frustrated. "What brother would do this?" Riku leans in and kisses him. It's different from the kisses they shared before. It's deep and the older is using his tongue on his lips trying to pry them open. Sora gasps when Riku bites his lip, allowing him to invade his mouth. It's wet and soppy. Sora's chest feels tight and his face has gotten hot. This feeling...Sora has felt it before. Riku's excited. Really excited.
It makes him hungry.
"Do you get it?" Riku breaks away. His cheeks are flushed, those eyes have finally settled down to the aqua Sora loves. "You didn't forget right? No one should be touching you like this. If I see that wolf again, I'm going to kill him."
"Y-You can't!" Sora snaps himself out of his haze. He was having some strange thoughts. "I've never kissed Leon! I've never done anything with him-"
"If you had your freak out, he could taken advantage of that, just like Ven did." Riku snarls. "He's not going to stop trying to take you away. I'm going to kill him. I won't let you get in my way next time."
"I-I won't let you kill him!" Sora can't stop. That look of disgust. It's because Leon's a wolf. Will Riku look at him the same way? Will he want to kill him too? "He didn't do anything wrong!-"
"SORA!" Riku slams Sora against the wall, that rage bubbling up again. "Why aren't you listening? Wolves tear everything they love apart. They aren't afraid to just take what they want. That's why that man is trying to steal you away! Why are you being like this?-"
"You're the one who's really mad right now over nothing! I...I just blocked your attack! I just protected him from death because he didn't do anything! He even helped us fight that dragon-"
"He had no choice but to help! I'm not mad over nothing Sora! You chose a wolf over me-"
"I didn't!" Sora must be feeding off of Riku's anger. He finds himself turning the tables on Riku, turning them around so he's shoving Riku against the wall. He's stronger now. "I didn't choose anyone over you! I did what I felt was right! You have to see that wolves aren't all bad! You have to!-"
"Sora." Riku stays calm even with Sora up in his face and yelling. "Listen to me. Wolves are disgusting creatures. They can't control themselves or their desires. They eat anything just to survive, even other werewolves. They are monsters! Monsters in every sense of the term and they deserve to be hunted down. Every. Single. Last. One. Of. Them."
Sora pauses, not able to form something to say back to that. Riku's feelings towards werewolves...he always knew but to have it said by his voice...makes it hurt more. It becomes apparent that...Riku truly will hate him for his secret. He could never forgive him. Riku has kissed him. Riku has touched him. Riku has spend all these years with him while the whole time he was a wolf. A creature that is disgusting and vile in his eyes. Sora just feels...guilty.
Seeing Sora seemingly settle down, Riku suddenly wraps his arms around him. He hugs him close. "...I'm sorry I freaked out on you. That wasn't right of me. I shoved you and I didn't mean it. I just got so angry thinking of that wolf...but it's not your fault. Just know I'm trying to protect you. That's all."
Sora slowly hugs him back. Riku's warmth is so comforting and to have Riku say nice things to him again...Sora can't stop the tears. He doesn't want this nice Riku to end. He doesn't want to lose him. He never wants Riku to know the truth.
Those thoughts make him feel guilty though. If he really cares about Riku, he wouldn't let him hug a wolf, the one thing he hates the most. Sora is truly a wolf in sheep's clothing. He's gotten close to Riku, invaded his heart and now he's too selfish to let him go.
"Devour him."
Sora tenses at that voice. He swallows. He has to grind his teeth to keep them from chattering as he tightens his grip on Riku. His long silver hair brushes against his face. He smells like lavender. He smells good. He's so much taller then Sora too. Sora is kind of hungry. His body is craving something. All that anger had him worn out.
"Riku can I-" Stop. This isn't what he would want. His body...is acting on it's own. Sora isn't having a freak out. There's no reason to want that behavior. His body...what's happening to him? Why is he so hungry?
"They are food."
Food? Riku is? He is food?
"Hey...Sora are you okay?" Riku puts a hand to his forehead. He's frowning. "You got really pale. I...Shit I'm sorry Sora. I went kind of ape shit. I just had it in my head that maybe you and that wolf-" He shakes the thoughts off. "...We all went though some shit. We almost got killed by a dragon and we had to work together with a wolf and Vampire...We went against the council again...and then you protected that wolf...I just..." He cups Sora's cheeks when he still looks pale. "You...You really don't look good Sora. I-I'm not mad anymore. This...Shit...I won't blame it on the darkness but you know that you are-"
"Accept who you are. Drain him."
"NO!" Sora screams, getting Riku to jump. His mouth is watering. That concern Riku has for him. This feeling that Sora can sense from their link...It makes him so hungry. The darkness has given way to the underlining reason. Riku is attached to him. He couldn't escape this link even if he wanted to- "NO! THAT'S NOT ME!" Sora backs away from Riku, fearing his own thoughts and what might come out of his mouth.
"Sora what's going on?!" Riku walks closer. He won't walk away.
"S-Stay away from me!" Sora shouts. He blocks out the hurt he feels from Riku. He's drooling. He doesn't have to kill Riku. He could just take a little. A little bit of his being. He wouldn't mind it. Sora has done it before. He could just get a small taste. That's fine. His body wants it after all. He'll get stronger- "Riku you can't touch me! Never touch me again! I...Don't kiss me either!" Sora covers his mouth. He wants to stop these thoughts. They are getting darker. Something is changing inside of him.
"What?" Riku tenses. "...Sora I didn't mean-"
He's vulnerable. Use that. You could do whatever you wanted to him. He's just a stepping stone- That was Sora's own voice. He heard it. Is that darkness? What is that? Is that him? Is it him? Is he...What is he?
"I don't want it!" Sora screams and runs out of the cave. He needs to get away. He's panicking. Something is going on in his brain. He has to protect Riku. He can't be close to him. He can't...let this part of him take over. It's not normal. He's not in heat. His werewolf part is locked away so...what is this part of him? This part that wants to gulp down on Riku's seed? If it was just that, Sora wouldn't be so freaked out but these thoughts...He wants to draw blood. He wants to suck him of his energy. He wants to use every part of him.
This...This isn't just normal attraction is it? His body has been weird. He doesn't trust it. He doesn't trust that if Riku got him excited again that he would just touch Riku. He might hurt him. This part of him...something isn't right with it.
Sora makes a portal to head back home. He jumps when Riku jumps in the portal with him right before it closes. He grabs his wrist as they move. Those aqua eyes are sorrowful. "...Don't push me away. I won't force myself on you again. Just don't push me away." He says it softly. Sora feels something in him break. He just...wants to comfort him. He just wants to make him feel good. He just wants a taste. He just wants to feed-
"You need to feed to become stronger. Don't fight what you're meant to become."
Sora thinks he's going to vomit. When the portal spits them out in the mansions kitchen, Sora can't hold it. He grabs the trashcan and gags out whatever he had for breakfast.
"Sora!" Riku rubs his back as Sora continues to vomit. The touch is a comfort. It's always a comfort. "Hey...Take it easy. You've been thought a lot...I...I really shouldn't have-"
"Sora! Oh my god!" Ven comes rushing into the kitchen. He runs when he sees that Sora is throwing up. He shoves Riku away from the brunette so he can be closer. "What happened?! Riku what did you do-"
"I didn't do anything!" Riku snarls, shoving Ven away from Sora. The two stand off, Ven glaring up at Riku. "He's sick-"
"Then why did you take him somewhere after the mission?! I went to look for you two and I couldn't find you! He wasn't sick when he left for the mission! What did you do-"
"I didn't do anything!-"
"He smells of you all over!" Ven bares his teeth, those blue eyes flashing white. "You...Sora had to fight a wizard and you decided to not take him home right away and now look at him! You...You don't care for Sora! If you did you would have taken him straight home so Aqua could look at him! He must have gotten hurt-"
"I do care about Sora! Where I take him after missions is none of your business." Riku's anger is starting to raise. All this anger just makes him throw up more.
"Get out of the way. I have to take care of Sora-"
"I got it. Why don't you fuck off?"
"No. You fuck off." Ven growls. Ven rarely cusses. The heat from this anger is becoming too much, it's boiling, boiling- "You took Sora off somewhere just to hang all over him and get your scent on him. That's probably what made him sick-"
The pot bubbles over.
Riku punches Ven in the face. He didn't hold back in the hit. Ven probably wasn't expecting the attack because he's knocked into the kitchen wall. His mouth is agape from shock but it only takes a moment for his face to get red. He lets out a battle cry as he goes for Riku. He dodges another punch and kicks Riku in the stomach getting him to skid back. Riku charges Ven, grabbing a hold of the smaller by the arm and slinging him into the wall. Ven quickly flips them around, grabbing Riku's long hair as leverage before busting his head on the counter. Riku jabs his arm back, elbowing Ven in the nose causing him to let go.
At this point all the commotion has caused all his family to rush to see what's going on.
"Holy shit!" Axel quickly goes into grab Riku to stop him.
"Ven stop!" Roxas grabs Ven to hold him back. Both struggle to get back to each other. Riku bleeding from a wound to the head while Ven has a crooked nose.
"What the hell is going on here?!" Terra bellows. His anger flaring when he sees that Riku has hurt Ven.
"Riku punched me! He also stuck Sora off somewhere and now Sora is sick!' Ven screams.
"You had it coming bitch!" Riku spits in Ven's direction.
"Sora are you okay?" Aqua makes her way over to Sora who is still hugging the trashcan for dear life. At this point he's just gagging. Nothing else will come out. He...He couldn't do anything. Ven and Riku were just going at each other and he just...couldn't do anything.
"You will continue to be weak unless you give in."
Sora gags.
"You can't protect anyone if you don't accept it."
"Sora, why don't I get you to your bed? I'll give you some medication." Aqua soothes, rubbing his back. Sora can't stop his tears. Everything hurts. Riku and Ven are still going back and forth. Terra is yelling at them but the situation isn't' calming much.
Sora nods slowly. Aqua helps him stand. He follows her out of the room. Ven notices right away.
"Sora where are you going? I'm-"
"You aren't going anywhere!" Terra snaps. "You can't be fighting like this! What Is the meaning of this?"
"Terra, I told you-" Ven yells, getting upset that Roxas won't let him go so he can follow Sora.
Sora drowns it out as he goes into the shared room. He gets into his bed. Aqua sets a trashcan next to his bed just in case he needs to throw up again. She sits on his bed, rubbing his cheek. "...Are you okay Sora? Did you start feeling sick during the mission or after?"
"...I...think after." Sora mumbles. He shivers despite being in the covers. "Aqua I'm..." It's his fault that his brothers are fighting. It's his fault this is happening in the first place. What would Aqua think? If she knew that she was touching a wolf? Is he...Is he really bad? Is he really a...disgusting being? He's starting to think that maybe Riku is right.
"Just rest. It will be better in the morning. We'll take care of Ven and Riku. Tomorrow I'll make your favorite how does that sound?"
Is he...a parasite on this family?
"Thank you Aqua." Sora smiles at her. She gives him a kiss on the forehead before heading down stairs to face the two still yelling back and forth. Sora closes his eyes. He's tired. He just needs to sleep. All these thoughts...it will be like a bad dream. The fight with Riku and Ven hurting each other...it will just disappear.
Everything will go back to normal. It has to.
"Ugh! Can you believe him Rox?!" Ven complains loudly as he walks up to their room with his twin. Riku and Axel are still talking in the kitchen. "He takes Sora out after a mission and then gets mad at me for calling him out!"
"...He shouldn't have hit you." Roxas's blue eyes burn with a slight fire. "I don't care that you two don't like each other, he shouldn't have made it physical again. I thought you two were past that."
"I thought so too! But...recently I've learned that Riku can't be trusted with Sora. His actions today prove it. He took Sora away just to..." Ven bites his lip. This nasty feeling turning his stomach. "Sora smelled of Riku. He was all over him. Was he hugging on Sora or..." Ven can't help to remember Sora's warm hand on his arousal. It seems like so long ago that Sora had caught him in the act...only to help him instead of getting disgusted. Thinking back it's still embarrassing. He had called for Sora through their link by accident because...he was yearning for Sora in those moments. Sora felt that and...Those moments are stuck in his brain. Having Sora touch him and then getting to have Sora be rough with him...He wonders if Riku and Sora did something like that? Just the thought makes something turn. He feels upset.
He's been trying so hard too. He hasn't touched himself in the house just to make sure Sora doesn't sense him again. Sora is just too kind. He'll help anyone.
He wonders if Riku asked for help. He wonders if he's using Sora. He knows that he must think of him as he does. These feelings for Sora...Ven can't deny any longer. It's obvious that they both want him.
But does Sora even understand? Or does he think those acts are him helping? He's so kind...Ven never wants to take advantage of him again but smelling Riku all over him awoken something in him.
He wants to be the one to have his scent all over Sora. He wants to touch him again like that. He wants...Sora to look at him like a man-
"Ven settle down." Roxas breaks Ven out of his thoughts when he touches his fist. He didn't realize he was gripping his hand in a fist so hard that the veins in his arm are popping out. "...I get it. I went nuts when I smelled that female on Axel the first time. It lead to a lot of fights. Just think about it though. I didn't smell anything...bad you know? It was just Riku. They probably just hugged."
Ven doesn't believe it but he will leave it for now. "Still. He took Sora away just to do that when he should have been taken back to safety-"
"I get it Ven but fighting with Riku about what he's done is pointless now. It's already over with." Roxas thinks for a moment. "...Your face is all red. I've never seen you so angry. I'm sure it didn't feel nice for Sora either. I just don't want this to become a regular occurrence of you two getting physical."
"...I'll try my hardest for Sora. There's' not much I can do if he hits me first though! I was just defending myself!" Ven knows he's too angry. He just wants to go back there and hit Riku again. Ven finds that rage simmer when they make it to their bedroom.
Sora is already asleep. The cover pulled up. He's shivering. Sora hasn't been sick in awhile...Ven can't help to think it's Riku's fault. Whatever he did, he caused this. Sora was fine before that mission.
"You're hot..." Ven mumbles as he touches Sora's forehead. He rushes to get a rag from the bathroom. He wets it with cold water before placing it on Sora. "Don't worry! I'll take care of you Sora." Ven hums. He's already thinking about what kind of soup he should make him tomorrow. He crawls into the bed with him like he's been doing for years. This time though he's doing it to help with the shivering and he'll know right away if he wakes up-
"Get the fuck out of his bed." Riku snarls when he sees Ven curled up next to Sora.
"Make me." Ven waves him off. "I'm taking care of Sora unlike someone I know-"
Riku charges Ven. In a blink of an eye he's on the blonde. He grabs him by his leg and yanks him out of the bed. Ven allows himself to get thrown on the floor just so he's closer to Riku's own legs. He kicks out, sweeping Riku off his feet.
This results in another all out fight between the two. Axel and Roxas having to get involved again to stop it. Sora is woken up from Terra's yelling when he came to see what all the commotion was. Sora feels...even worse when he sees the bloody lip Ven has and Riku's now busted nose.
...There is truly something wrong with him. All this anger...he's the cause of it. Sora should let everyone go. He should just go. He should just leave. But he can't. Sora wants to be with them forever.
But this voice in his head, that keeps reminding him of his hunger...makes him ill.
"Are you feeling better Sora?" Ven asks once the brunette had made his way to the dinning table. Sora woke up to all his brothers already gone. It appears that Terra has called a family meeting. Sora doesn't have to guess to know what it's about.
"A little." Sora gives him a reassuring smile. He tries not to look at his lip or nose.
"After the meeting is over I'll make you some soup-" Ven starts.
"You sure you're not nauseous anymore?" Riku cuts him off. Sora shakes his head. He said some upsetting things to Riku. He was just trying to push him away in that moment. That moment where it felt like he was no longer himself.
"I'm fine really! You guys don't have to worry. I just got sick a bit that's all." Sora waves his arms around. He locks eyes with Riku and gives him a nod. Just that gesture seems to put him at ease. Sora isn't ignoring him like he was worried about.
"I called this meeting for obvious reasons." Terra walks into the room with Aqua. The irritation isn't hidden in his voice. "Ven and Riku. You two got into a physical fight, not once but twice in the same night! Over Sora!-"
"He started it!" Ven yells. "I wasn't doing anything the second time either-"
"Riku said you were in Sora's bed." Terra says slowly.
"What's wrong with that? I'm always sleeping with Sora-"
"You're way too old and you know it." Riku snaps. "Ven is nothing but a pervert!-
"I'm not!-"
"Ven. Riku is right. I was going to wait a bit longer but after your fighting, I thought this is a good of time as any." Terra gives Ven an even look when the blonde is already looking upset. "From now on, you all will have your own rooms."
"What?!" Ven and Axel shout.
"I spent all night making sure each room has a bed and dresser. I've even labeled the doors so you'll know who's room it is on the third floor. I don't want to catch any of you trying to sleep in each others rooms. You all need some space. Especially you and Riku-"
"I get being away from Riku but why do I have to be away from Sora? Sora doesn't mind me sleeping with him! Right Sora?"
"I don't mind." Sora sighs when he gets an unpleasant feeling from Riku. "But...if it's causing everyone distress, then it's okay. Even if we don't sleep together, I'll see you when I wake up Ven!"
"I know that but..." Ven glares at Riku. "This is all your fault! The only reason Terra made a rule like this is because you freaked out for no reason-"
"No reason? You are 14. You don't need to be In the same bed as Sora, especially when he's knocked out. He couldn't give you his consent but you were already all over him. You are a pervert and you need to stay away from Sora-"
"I'm the pervert?! I wasn't the one who's scent was all over Sora-"
"What are you trying to say?" Riku's voice gets low. "I can't hug him but you can-"
"Hug he says..." Ven grumbles. The air is getting tense again.
"Stop it. Both of you. You all will have your own rooms. End of story." Terra swallows before he says the next part. "Also...As punishment, Riku and Ven. You two are banded from going on missions with Sora for at least half an Occisor year-"
"What?!" Both Ven and Riku scream at that.
"That's five years!" Ven grips his hair. "We...W-We didn't do anything that bad! Sora needs me on missions-"
"That is ridiculous Terra! That punishment is too harsh-"
"Yeah! I mean...Riku can be banned from Sora for 5 years but not me! I just defended myself-"
"Shut the fuck up Ven! You wanted to hurt me just as bad-"
"I stand by it. No missions with Sora for 5 years. If you two continue to be a problem I will add to that time if I must." Terra is dead serious.
"T-Terra you can't!" Ven's eyes are starting to get watery. "Who will Sora go on missions with?!"
"Um...hello?" Axel points at himself and Roxas.
"My brother is one thing but Axel can't protect Sora!" Ven protests.
"I agree. This is a huge mistake-" Riku snarls.
"I've said my piece. It's not changing." Terra's face is s tone.
Sora wishes he could block out all the anger and sorrow. Ven is really upset about this. Riku's anger is getting out of control. He wishes he could do something to help them. Maybe this break will be good for everyone.
"I hate you Terra!" Ven cries out, running away from the table. Terra flinches but it looks like he braced himself for that reaction.
"Ven!" Roxas rushes after his twin.
"...Come on Sora-" Riku starts to say something to him but Terra cuts in.
"You are also forbidden from taking Sora away from here."
"What?"
"Wherever you've been taking him. You are banned from taking him from here. Why should you be able to take him out if Ven can't? For the next five years. I don't want to catch you trying to sneak him out anywhere. If I do, I'll increase the time. I might even lock you away."
Sora has a sudden fear hit him when that rush of anger from Riku comes forth. It looks like Riku might attack Terra with how fiercely he's glaring.
"...Hey Riku, buddy let me talk to you for a moment. " Axel gets up quickly, trying to revert the silver haired male's attention. Axel pushes him out of the room, whispering something harshly.
Sora is left with Terra and these terrible feelings. He's not going to get to be alone with Riku anymore. Maybe that's a good thing. After all...He's still hungry. It still hurts though. He wants to be close to Riku. He wants to go on missions with Ven. He doesn't want to be away from them but at the same time...he feels it's for the best.
"Are you afraid you will kill them? If you hold it in, you will kill them by accident."
"Sora, dear you still look pale." Aqua places a plate of pancakes in front of him.
"This punishment isn't your fault Sora. Ven and Riku need to calm down." Terra reassures. "It may seem harsh but...they can't be hurting each other like that. It is a crime."
Sora nods slowly. He's drooling in his mouth but the pancakes aren't what he craves. He feels ill just smelling them.
"It's because you've used too much power and haven't eaten. You must."
"...Maybe...Maybe I'm..." Sora mumbles, feeling a little dazed.
"What's wrong? Not hungry?" Aqua notices that Sora pushed away his plate. "Still feeling sick?"
Sora nods his head slowly. "...Hey Aqua could you show me to my new room?"
"Of course. We're taking a break from missions today if you want to just sleep." Aqua offers. Sora follows her up the stairs to the third floor. He follows her down to the last door in the hallway. His name is on the door. She opens it up and there's a twin sized bed and a dresser just like Terra said. Sora can't help to notice that the planks are exposed on the ceiling.
"Thank you. I'm just going to sleep it off." Sora gives Aqua a smile. When he gets in his room, he shuts the door and locks it.
Without listening to the voice, he crawls into bed and shuts his eyes tight. He's not going to get out of bed till this feeling goes away.
"Roxas you have to stay close to Sora at all times and don't forget..." Ven has been going on a rant for a while now to his twin. He handed him a piece of paper with instructions. Sora can't help to feel a bit embarrassed by all this special treatment. He knows Ven doesn't mean anything by it. He's just worried about him.
"I got it Ven. He'll be fine." Roxas huffs but he puts the paper away. "Me and Axel got him. Stop freaking out."
"I know, I know." Ven sighs. He walks over to Sora and gives him a big hug. "I'm sorry I can't go with you. When you come back we could watch a movie or something!" Ven leans in to whisper in his ear. "...Don't do anything too reckless with other creatures in front of Roxas."
It's a warning. Roxas probably won't be as cooperative as Ven when it comes to helping other creatures. Maybe Ven isn't sure if Roxas would report him for it too. Sora nods to let Ven know he got the message. He's hoping this is just a normal mission.
"Ven would you quit it? Our mission is just delivery. It's E ranked. With 3 Occisor. E ranked." Axel shakes his head. "At least I'm with Roxas this time..."
"Still keep on your guard." Riku says ignoring the look he gets from Ven when he bumped the blonde out of the way to talk to Sora.
"I will. You two worry too much." Sora gives him a smile. He feels that ease again when they lock eyes. Maybe Riku thinks he's mad at him.
"Come on Ven. Lets get started on our mission." Terra calls to Ven.
"You too Riku." Aqua says. The two hesitant, wanting to stay with the brunette but they leave without much of a fuss.
"Lets get our stuff packed." Axel yawns, the three walking into the supply area. "Terra and Aqua went ahead and packed their stuff before we even got up. I wonder if they even sleep man."
"To be fair it's been kind of hard lately to sleep. Riku and Ven are still at each others throats."
"They're going to end up with more years added to their punishment. Ven had it coming though when Riku caught him trying to get Sora's attention in the dead of night yesterday."
"...Riku didn't have to push him."
It's been about a month with their separate room arrangement. Sora was hoping that everyone having some space would help the fighting but it seems to only get worse. Sora has been going on missions with Axel and Roxas. It seems like he's going to be going on a lot of missions with them for the next five years. Not that Sora minds. He rarely sees Roxas. This will be a chance for them to get closer.
"Your body will continue to be sick in till you feed."
"So what are we delivering?" Sora asks, wanting to change the subject.
"Just this stupid stone. We got to pick it up in universe 88 and bring it across this lake or some shit." Axel makes a portal. The three jump in. "But seriously, Riku and Ven are getting on my nerves." When they walk out of the portal they find themselves in a city. It appears that someone placed summoning stones. " They fight all the time over petty shit and then we get dragged into just because they can't stop fighting over Sora."
"...Riku and Ven really don't like each other." Sora mumbles. That darkness has gotten worse.
"Don't like each other? Dude they hate each other." Axel grunts. "Oh hey, I think that's our guy." Axel starts to walk off towards this man who is waving his hand.
Sora swallows. Hate? It's because of him isn't it? A question starts to surface and he can't stop his voice. "...Do you think...If I didn't exist that Riku and Ven would get along?" He mumbles to himself. Though it was quiet it seems Roxas caught it.
"What?" Roxas looks at him with wide blue eyes.
Sora shakes his head quickly, feeling embarrassed that Roxas heard that. What's the point in asking? He's starting to realize that...his family would have been better off if they never had met him. He's only going to cause more pain. "O-Oh yep that's the guy!" Sora quickly runs over to Axel. Roxas pauses for a moment before he runs after him.
"I just got the run down. We take this stone." Axel shows the seemingly plain rock. "And we take that boat." he points down the hill next to the town. There's a lake with a dock. At the dock is a small boat with a sail. "And we take it to the other dock across the lake. He says there's a cabin right there with a man with blue hair. That's who we give it to."
"Why doesn't he just give it to him?" Sora blinks. It seems very simple.
"Apparently him and the other guy aren't on good terms but he said he needed this rock for his work or something. So he hired us to do it." Axel shrugs his shoulders. "Oh well. Easy money for us. Lets get this over with."
Sora follows Axel, trying to ignore those blue eyes that are glancing at him. There's this awkward tension between him and Roxas. They get on the boat, Axel turning to Roxas with a grin. "Alright Rox. Do your thing and get some wind in this sail!" He unties the rope anchoring it to the dock.
"Right..."
"Hey you alright?" Axel frowns when he notices that the blonde is being quieter than normal.
"I'm fine." Roxas shakes his head. With a wave of his hand he summons wind, it blows against the open sail and gets the boat to move.
"Sure?" Axel puts a hand on his shoulder. Roxas nods and gives him a small smile. "Alright." Axel looks over at Sora who is staring out into the water. "You getting sea sick?"
"No I'm okay." Sora shakes his head.
Axel rubs the back of his head. "Don't let what's going on with Riku and Ven bother you. Five years isn't anything to us. You'll be going on missions with them again before you know it. But for now you get to hang out with the coolest out of the bunch."
"...Yeah. It's not your fault Sora." Roxas says sincerely. "It'll turn out okay."
"I know. I'm glad I'll get to spend some time with you Roxas. I feel like it's been forever since I've been on a mission with you!" Sora perks up, showing Roxas his best smile.
"It has been a long time." Whatever unease Roxas was feeling disappears as he returns the smile.
"You've become better at deceiving."
"What about me?" Axel huffs.
"You too Axel!" Sora chuckles. He'll do whatever he needs to do. He'll protect his family. No matter what.
The boat ride doesn't take long. It was as smooth as it could be. Right on the other side, just like that man said, is a cabin.
"Alright boys lets turn this in and get our money." Axel knocks on the door. "Hey. We got a delivery from a man named Alex."
No response.
As Sora walks closer to Axel, he gets a whiff of something. It's faint but it smells of rotten gas and stool. "It..It smells really bad." Sora mumbles, covering his nose.
"Huh?" Axel sniffs. He narrows his eyes. "It's faint but...what is that? This guy just shitting in his house?"
"...He's not answering. I'm going to bust down the door." Roxas kicks the door right off it's hinges.
"Roxas you can't just-" Sora starts only to freeze. They all do.
A man is hovering before them, his arms laying limply by his sides. The rope that is tied around his neck makes a creaking sound as the body slightly turns in place. The expression on this man's face...Sora will never forget it. The expression of agony. Sora realizes what that smell was. It appears the body is pretty fresh. He died today.
"Holy shit..." Axel looks down to the rock In his hand. "Well...Fuck I guess we got to tell that guy he's dead..."
"He left a note." Roxas walks up to the corpse and picks up the piece of paper. He doesn't seem fazed at all. This is Sora's first time seeing a body like this. He...He did this to himself right? Why would he do that? Why does he look like he's in such pain-
"My existence is only bringing you pain Alex. It's hurting me too not being able to be close to you. As long as I'm alive I'll continue to want you. You recently got married, I would never want to come between that but I can't stop how I feel. It would be better for us both if I was out of the picture. I will always love you. Please be happy. Signed Brandon." Roxas reads it before looking over at Axel. "We should give this to Alex."
After hearing that note, it started to make sense to Sora. He sacrificed himself for the happiness of someone else. He was hurting too. He wanted that to stop so...He took care of it. Sora keeps this information in his heart as they leave the man's cabin and make their way back to Alex.
When they told Alex what happened and gave him the note that Brandon had left...
"Oh thank god." He smiles and pays them.
Something is creaking in his head. It's creaking, creaking, creaking...What is he doing anyway? What kind of...monster is he? Sora isn't strong enough to make a choice yet.
"Sorry no luck yet Sora."
He expected that. Sora sighs, sitting on his bed, texting Cloud and Leon. He's been keeping contact with them ever since the incident with the dragon. It's much easier now that he has his own room. He doesn't have to worry about one of his brothers discovering it by accident as much.
"It's okay. I thought I would ask." Sora texts back. Cloud says he's been doing research on what he could be without any luck. He said he's been drinking from creatures he normally wouldn't but nothing is matching his flavor.
"Have you changed your mind yet?" Leon sends him a text. It feels like he sends him the same message every month. He's calmed down a bit after getting Sora's number but he still thinks Sora should leave and come be with him. There's a part of him that's tempted by the offer. Sora should get away. He shouldn't be harming his family any longer but...He doesn't want to live without them. It's selfish. So selfish it just makes him more ill.
"I'm going to stay here. Thank you for checking up on me Leon. You'll be the first to know if I do change my mind!"
"This can't go on for much longer. If they find out it could be death for you."
"I know." Sora is well aware. He doesn't think his brothers will act kindly towards him. For this treason he's sure to be put to death or worse maybe they will send him to the capital to get tested on.
"If you need anything just let me know. I'll be there." Sora is really grateful. He's not rushing over here and trying to fight his brothers anymore. He's just...waiting for him to make the right choice. It's nice having more people in his corner. A back up plan. Though Sora doesn't think he has the strength for it.
"Thank you Leon!"
Sora pauses when there's a knock at his door. He quickly looks at the time. It's close to 2 in the morning. The tapping was very soft too. He quickly hides away his phone before answering the door. He was expecting Ven. He's tried to do this many times but always gets caught by Riku. It's been three years since Terra put the ban on them It has cut into his time with the two a lot. It doesn't help that whenever they can spend time together a fight will break out. They haven't gotten psychical though. They don't want the ban to be longer. The tension is always so high...
Standing before him now is Riku. The surprise must be evident on his face because Riku averts his gaze. He's quiet. Sora knows it's against the rules but something is clearly troubling the older boy. Without a word Sora backs up so Riku can come in. He walks in and Sora shuts the door. They stare at each other for a moment. They can't be too loud. IF anyone hears it will be trouble but...Sora can feel that Riku is desperate. His link his tugging at his heart and is full of longing.
Riku brings out his crystal. Sora hesitates for a moment before nodding his head. He wants to go to their hideout too. He misses it. But is it really safe to risk it? Terra forbade this. Sora shouldn't be alone with Riku either. His mouth is starting to water. He hates this feeling. But he's so weak. He's sore. Riku is calling for him too. Why shouldn't he answer that?
Riku puts a tin enchanted sheet over the crystal. Sora hasn't seen much of them but they help masking the presence of a portal being open. Riku thought of everything. He opens the portal without hesitation and grabs Sora's hand. With a leap, they jump through and leave the tenseness of the house.
When they get to their hideout, the portal taking them to right inside the cave, Riku lets out a loud sigh.
"...I wanted to talk to you. I was too worried to say anything there. At least I know here, on one will hear us." Riku sits against the wall and makes a gesture for Sora to sit next to him. Sora does, making himself comfortable. He breathes in relief. It does feel nice to be away from the house if just for a moment. Being alone in that room leaves him with his thoughts and his father's voice. That terrible voice telling him of horrible things to come-
"...You haven't been eating right." Riku comes out with it. "I haven't been able to be around you that much but even I can see you're losing weight. Most the time you try to skip dinner."
"I'm just not that hungry." Sora looks at his bare feet. He's only in his nighttime shirt and shorts. He wasn't expecting this sudden trip. He really doesn't want to talk about this but it seems like he has no choice. Riku only has concern for him.
"Not hungry all the time? Sora you're 14. You need to eat. You're starting to have these bags under your eyes and...even Ven is hounding on you all the time about eating. You just don't..." Riku grips his fist. "...I know what's going on with me and Ven is upsetting you. I don't want to hurt you. I try to hold it in but Ven gets under my skin. He's the same as me. He wants to take you away and I..." he pauses. "I've been trying lately to not fight with him. But even that...You still aren't eating right."
"I'm just-" Sora thinks but he can't think of anything good to say. Everything that wants to come out of his mouth is just troublesome. Feeling Riku stare at him so intently and how his link tugs at him...Sora just wants to tell him the truth. "...Riku I think my light powers are strange."
"What do you mean?" Riku furrows his eyebrows. He didn't' like the change of topic but it seems he's allowing it.
"It...It drains me I think. Ever since we fought that dragon and I...I killed it with my power I've just been feeling off. The fighting doesn't help to be honest but I think these powers are...eating at me."
"Eating at you?" Riku frowns. "I...I never feel like that with my element. Maybe It has something to do with your special element of light. That girl...Kairi...maybe she experiences the same things?"
Probably not. "I hope not. This is horrible. I've been slowing down Roxas and Axel during missions. I'm just getting weaker."
"...That could be because you're not eating Sora."
"The food isn't doing it for me." Sora bites his lip. He shouldn't have said that.
"What do you mean?" When Sora averts his gaze, Riku grabs his hand and squeezes to get his attention. When Sora looks back at him, he asks the same question firmly.
"Hey Riku...What If I told you that I needed to eat you?" Sora laughs, something creaking in his head. He's starting to not feel like himself. He's been starving himself. This part of him that he's not aware of. This part of him that he's ashamed of...It's screaming. His father's voice is right there with it. Egging him on.
"Eat me?" Riku's eyes widen, taken aback by the strange darken look to Sora's eyes.
"Can I have a bite? Can I have a taste? It's alright isn't it?" Sora swallows his spit and shakes his head to try to gain himself back. "R-Riku I think we should go back-"
"No." Sora's eyes widen when Riku grips his hand, keeping him from getting up. "I don't understand what you're trying to tell me. You need to eat me? You...You said the food isn't doing it for you. Do you need blood? Do you need flesh?" His eyes are darting about as if he's thinking of something. His Adam's apple bobs as he looks at him with conviction. "I'll give it to you. Whatever you need. I won't ask questions. I'll hide the marks."
Sora's neck gets hot with emotion. He can't believe what he's hearing. He tries to get rid of the lump in his throat but it won't go down. "You d-don't even know what I'm going to say..." Does Riku think he's a vampire? An undead being? Does he know that he's not one of them? Will he still be kind if he knows he's a wolf though? It's too much of a risk to bring it up but he can feel the warmth from Riku's affections. He just wants to devour it. "What if I kill you?"
"I know you wouldn't." He says quickly. "I'm serious Sora. If you need something...Take it from me. I don't want to see you wasting away anymore. What do you need?-"
"What if it's something disgusting?" Sora asks, feeling his fingers twitch. Sora knows he could just drain Riku directly but he feels like...that would be more painful. He would just suck his energy from their link but...Sora doesn't know if he'd be able to stop. There's' another way to get that energy without hurting Riku as much. And it can only give him a bit of energy at a time. He's learned this much from his disembodied father. He said any body substance so it would probably work with Blood just as well but that would damage Riku... What kind of monster is he that he needs life energy like this from those close to him? Is he a leach.
"I said anything. I meant it Sora-"
"Then I'll take it." Sora grabs Riku by the shirt and pulls him in. The older wasn't expecting the sudden force...nor was he expecting the younger to kiss him. It wasn't shy like it usually was. Sora was kissing with heat and it quickly made Riku forget what they were discussing. His brain feels numb and his body is so warm. With every lick and brushing of lips, he becomes heavy as if paralyzed. It's not scary. He' still able to move. He can touch Sora. He can feel his skin. He pauses when he feels his ribs and the bones there. Ah. He needs to feed Sora. Though Riku doesn't mind this kissing he doesn't want Sora to distract him from-
His thought process is cut off again when Sora starts to grab at his clothing. His finger nails are digging into his thighs and his other hand is grabbing where he can't help to get excited. "W-Wait-" he tries to get this voice out. He didn't want to have Sora do this for him again. This...This couldn't possibly be the food he was talking about-
His thoughts and rational thinking is gone as soon as he feels that warmth again from Sora's mouth. It's been a long time and Riku has been fantasizing about having this moment again. He's been wanting this so much but there was...This...He grabs onto Sora's head and shoves him down. It's like he's outside of his body but it feels so good. He's felt this sensation before. Something is clawing inside of him. That pain is dulled almost to the point he doesn't notice it with all these sensations Sora's mouth is giving him.
Riku wants to warn him but all that comes out is a grunt before he releases. He swallows it all up. There's fireworks in the back of his eyes, he feels so weak like his body just lost it's bones. The last thing he sees is Sora licking his lips and his last thought is...He just wants to kiss him more.
When Sora regains himself, he feels a lot better. He feels like he could eat normal food now without getting sick. He feels like he could keep up with his brothers, he feels-
"Riku!" Sora panics when he sees the older boy is laying on his back with his eyes closed. He feels for their link and lets out a shuttering sigh. He's still alive. Sora took a bit more then he was expecting. He's so glad he went with this route. He would have killed him if he just tried to do it directly. Sora shakes him, feeling his face get hot remembering what he did to him. He loses himself in that hunger.
"Sora..." Riku groans, sitting up. He looks tired. "...Did I really pass out from that? Sorry."" Riku's face gets flushed as he fixes his pants. "I...I don't know what came over me. I was suppose to feed you and I-"
"You fed me." Sora feels his face get hotter when Riku blinks. "That's...what I needed."
"..." Riku stares at him with wide eyes. He must have been expecting blood. He seems to take in how Sora's face has gained some color. "I...I'm glad it helped." He says dumbly. "You Said it...um...do your powers feel recharged?"
"They do... I feel like I could eat a bunch of food!" Sora tries to stay perky to not make this any more awkward then it is.
"...I've never heard of something like this..." Riku is trying to make sense of what happened. He feels like something happened like this before when Sora had first given him oral but it wasn't as strong. Though it felt amazing, he feels so drained. The last time he was able to eat and sleep off this feeling. He's sure it will be the same this time. It might take a bit longer but...He feels a little too happy. It's okay for him to be with Sora like this right? Since he's just helping Sora...He'll feed him as much as he wants-
"Um...R-Riku how long do you think we've been out?" Sora's question gets Riku to freeze. He swallows. There's no way of knowing but Riku has a bad feeling.
"Fuck." Riku grabs his crystal. "I'll try to get us right in your room. Maybe we weren't out for that long..." He doubts it but he puts the tin covering over the crystal anyway and makes a portal. He hopes they can at least get Sora in the bathroom so they can hide the scent a bit-
"Ven!" Sora shouts out as soon as they make it back to the mansion. Said blonde is standing in Sora's room, staring at Riku with those white eyes filled with rage.
There's no hiding it now. It takes one sniff from Ven as he's opening his mouth to yell only to freeze. The rage that was already there builds into blood-lust and like a bull he lets out a scream and charges for Riku.
It's the worse case scenario.
