Hi everyone... I'm back with my first story. Thank you all for your reviews... I felt an urge to write more and more for you guys ;-) Sorry for the delay. Let's hop in... to our first story!!!

A Bus To Samathanapuram

1) The Bus.

It was late at evening. Only a few were left at the bus stop. It was mid November at that time and hence very chilly. Purvi kept checking her watch while waiting for her bus. She was a medical student doing her intern year. It was almost 7 when she had finished her shift and reached the bus stop. She was home alone that day since her parents had to attend a relative's funeral; she wasn't allowed there because she was engaged.

"Huh" she sighed. The thought of her engagement brought an emotion of mixed feelings. She was happy that she was going to marry a good man; her parent's choice (even she opts arranged marriage coz it really is exciting to marry someone she doesn't know); he works in one of the top IT companies; gets paid with a handsome salary; doesn't smoke or drink; what more could a girl want?

Being a big fan of Crime stories and thrillers, she had always hoped to marry someone with dangerous yet a "cool" profession, like the CBI or a RAW agent or even a lawyer... but she's being married to a boring IT guy (at least according to her). But she didn't know that her life is gonna be interesting in the coming few hours !!!

A bus came. She wasn't used to travelling in bus; since her scooter had some issues, her father had told her to take an auto or cab. But "travelling by bus is interesting" she thought. But didn't dare to tell him since she knows he wouldn't allow it. "He's very much protective" she felt. So she saw the bus again. It was a bus to Andheri. She boarded it.

The bus was pretty much empty. Few sat scattered. She sat near a window seat. Few others boarded the bus and it started, her journey to home or...? As the bus picked up speed, her baby hairs flew over her face and she could feel the chill wind. She felt like flying in the sky:)

Then the conductor came and asked her her destination.

"Andheri East" She replied. She could see the strange look on his face. He seemed pretty much like a kidnapper to her.

"Whats the matter ?" She asked.

"It'll take 3hrs for your destination" he replied.

"THREE HOURS ? But it's only half an hour away." She had almost shouted in desperation that made a few faces look at her. It was then she saw a very familiar man seated behind the driver. He immediately turned front when he felt her gaze.

"I've seen him somewhere..." she thought. But the conductor's reply brought her back to the world.

"Yes ma'am, it's a 3 hours journey. You see we take a long route to cover many places."

"What places ?"

"It's nothing for you to worry about ma'am. Your ticket costs 10 rupees"

"Just 10 rupees for a three hours journey ?" She asked him. But the conductor merely stared at her. She couldn't process the information she had just received hence just paid for the ticket. It was then she noticed a board above the unbelievably familiar man reading "Bus to Samathanapuram".
