Friends to Lovers

Jackie breaks up with Kelso for good, and feels like making a getaway to Florida for the summer. However, she meets another boy only to find out he's doing the same thing. They both go on a roadtrip to Florida, and they become best friends, but later on, their friendship happens to turn into romance and sexual tensions. (The roadtrip is to Florida instead of California)

1. Chapter 1

Note: This is my first story. It's an AU Jackie/OC romance fanfic. The take of this fic is around the end of season 4/beginning of season 5. There are a couple major differences in this fanfic compared to the actual show. In this fic, the Formans and the Gang live in Kentucky instead of Wisconsin, and it takes place in the early 2000's instead of the 70's. They reside in Richmond, which is a real city in Kentucky (not to be confused with Richmond, Virgina), rather than the fictional Wisconsin town of Point Place. However, everybody is still the same age as in the show, and everybody in the gang likes rock and roll music, specifically classic rock, like hard rock and heavy metal. Not sure how I would rate this summary, but like I said, this is my first story, so enjoy!

Chapter 1

Forman's Basement

Richmond, Kentucky

2002

"That's it Micheal, I am breaking up with you for good!" Jackie screamed at Kelso.

"Jackie please, I'm sor-"

Jackie cuts him off, "No, I don't want to hear it. I mean it this time!" Jackie bolts out of the basement while Kelso just stands there in the middle of the basement stoned. Apparently, Kelso was caught cheating again with another girl. As Jackie bolted through the kitchen and into the Formans driveway, she was soon crying her eyes out, not believing that Kelso cheated on her again. The small brunette wished that he hadn't hurt her as much as he did.

As Jackie thought to herself, she remembered all the times that she took him back even after he always cheated on her, but when she told Kelso that they were broken up for good, she meant it this time. She even kind of felt like a dumbass after all those times she took him back, just hoping that he would never hurt her again, but she knew she wasn't actually dumb. She of course knew that, especially since she was the only one in the gang that Red has never called a dumbass.

Jackie stood there right in the driveway when Kitty walked out and saw her.

"Jackie, what's wrong?" Kitty said, concerned.

"Micheal, he cheated on me, again" the brunette stated while sobbing.

"I'm so sorry. Maybe I can cheer you up by giving you a drink." Kitty said

"I guess." Jackie said.

Kitty brought Jackie into the kitchen to try and give her a drink.

"I just don't get it Mrs. Forman. I do still love Micheal, but after what he has done to me, I just can't take it anymore. He apparently cheated on me with that snank Pam Macy again, but this time I'm done, I broke up with him for good" Jackie stated.

Kitty added, "I'm very sorry about that sweety."

"Yeah, I know you are, I really wished that Micheal actually cared about me" the raven haired girl said.

Kitty responded, "I understand how you feel Jackie, it hurts, but I'm sure that you two can still be friends, and when it comes to a man that actually cares about you and treats you with kindness, I do have the feeling that you will find someone else."

"Yeah, I do hope that I can find someone else" Jackie stated

"Oh don't worry, I know that you will soon come across a good man Jackie, you just have to believe in yourself" Kitty stated to the brunette with a smile.

"Thank you Mrs. Forman" Jackie replied.
