Before I go into the actual disclaimer, here is a review that was left on my Shantae fanfiction I've made within the last month of 2021 and into 2022.
It's by a person who is very toxic and has been known to harrass and abuse anyone he wants and thinks that NO ONE can make him stop. I'm going to make sure that someone, I don't care who, but that someone important can see what he is doing and realize that he's doing this not just to me, but everyone.

I used the name of the OC of this story behind your back. I used it in a story of mine called The Victorian Thief. Why did I still Ricky Harlem you may ask? Because I felt like it. OC's are in the public domain. You don't have the right to own the character of Ricky Harlem. I own him now and there's nothing you can do about it. I'd like to see you try and report what I did to the admins. They won't care. They wouldn't give a shit about your report.

This is a fanfic based on the Shantae games from Pirate's Curse onwards. Why? Because I haven't played the original two games.

Regardless, this will be in the POV of Ricky Harlem. Without further ado, let's begin.

I looked around my field of vision, feeling like I'd just woken up from one of the craziest dreams ever... but when I did so, I gawked at how my vision was filled with tons of... spectral blues and whites... and I then heard a group of voices from nearby.

"What do you make of it?" asked a voice... and I then realized that all of them were girls... was this going to be a wet dream?

"I don't know why Matilde brought him here... why bring a mortal human from beyond our worlds to this one?" asked another genie... I was very confused at what was going on... before I then heard a voice from behind me.

"If you're thinking this is a dream, I'm going to shoot that idea down," said a voice... but the voice made me surprised regardless because... I felt it come from everywhere!

"W-What the?... Who said that?" I asked in confusion as I looked around and was about to get off the ground... and then I immediately freaked out when I saw that I had no legs! I had a spectral tail! "And where are my feet?!" I raised my voice in shock as I noticed one more thing. "AND WHY DO I LOOK LIKE A CARTOON?!"... then the voice spoke again.

"Easy! It's a side effect to what I've done to both of us," said the voice again, me gulping at that, since the other female voices were ignoring me. "And you should know who I am... I am the mother of your favorite half-genie... I'm sure I do not need to explain it, right?" the voice said... I gawked as I looked around and then realized... favorite half-genie... mother... the spectral look to this place and my lower half?

"I'm... in the genie realm of the game?" I asked in shock.

"Yes, you are... I can understand if you're upset, but I need your assistance..." Shantae's mom said, me looking at my hands and then deciding to ask a question.

"Two questions first... one... are you speaking to me from your mind? And two, why are my feet missing?" I asked.

"Heh, stubborn as Shantae is, I see... in order of the questions, I am speaking from your mind, because I merged my entire being with you to bring you here... and that also is why you have no feet. Because we are now 100 percent human and 100 percent genie," she said, me sighing at that. "Now, would you like to assist me?" she asked.

"Might as well... didn't really have much back home, to be honest. Being stuck in a world as bouncy as this could be what I need," I admitted very truthfully. I was born an orphan and never had anyone adopt me, so I went to school from the orphanage until I graduated. I then got myself a small portion of land and got a job as a farmer of crops and cows. And sure, I did get good business to pay the bills, but I never really did have a family or any real friends... aside from my games. And Shantae's games were my favorites. "What is it you want, Mrs. Shantae?" I asked.

"My name is Matilde, thank you very much," she said, me sighing at her. "And I want your help to assist my daughter... I have foreseen that many troubles will take place in her future, and I wanted to watch over her without fear of her knowing I was there... and that's where you come in," she spoke.

"So you got a male human from a different universe to merge bodies and minds together so we could join Shantae on her adventures?... Don't you think that they might be confused at me being a male genie?" I asked.

"They are rare, but they do exist. Just tell them that you're a full-blooded genie and that you wish to assist her," Matilde said, me smirking at that.

"And I guess that hitting on her is against the rules, then?" I asked.

"Not unless you want me to take control to smack you in the face with your own fist," she said, me smirking at that.

"And if Shantae does so instead of me?"

"Maybe this wasn't a good idea... but it's too late now... ugh... let's just go to Scuttle Town," she said... I then felt the world around me get filled with even more colors before I then saw that I was looking over the entire place of Scuttle Town from above! It looked very cool!... But then I noticed that a certain one-eyed man was sending a whole armada of troops into the town and that they were destroying a lot of stuff in their path!

"Oh no they do not!" I shouted as I proceeded to fly down to the town and directly towards the bomber guys specifically, since they were aiming tank turrets at houses! And one of them had a little girl in the open door! The goon then sent out the blast, but I rescued the girl by whisking her off the ground and then getting her to safe ground.

"A-A genie?" she asked, me then going to the one who dared try to kill a 6-year-old girl and smacked him across the face before grabbing him by the collar.

"W-Whoa! G-Genie man! G-Get away from me!" he shouted in fear.

"You're coldhearted, blowing up a building with a little girl in the crosshairs," I frowned as I then simply carried him over the town while seeing that none other than Shantae had just completely trounced the Ammo Baron's tank and his ass. Her allies then arrived shortly after, followed by the royal guards.

"Ah, the royal guards are here! Please take Ammo Baron away in chains!" Shantae said with seriousness.

"You have harmed the owner of Scuttle Town. For doing so, you are no longer the guardian genie," the royal guard said, me then arriving with the guy in my arms and speaking up.

"EXCUSE ME!" I shouted, that getting the royal guard to look at me in shock, as well as Ammo Baron himself.

"A-A genie?! A full-blooded one?!" the one royal guard member asked.

"I, for one, do not think that this guy in blue is fit for being in charge of this town, since his men, including this one, blew up numerous homes and, the guy in my hands here, nearly blew up a little girl of 6 years old!" I shouted as I then threw him right into the blown-up tank, making him very dazed. "So, as a REAL guardian genie, I for one say that you have no right to punish this girl for attacking someone willing to murder a kid!" I said. The guards then looked at each other and then at Shantae, before finally looking at me again.

"Do you happen to have any proof as to who the girl in question was?" they asked. And before I could speak, someone else did for me.

"It's twue!" said the little girl I rescued, who walked over to us with a frown on her face. "This genie wescued me before I could get bwown up fwom this guy's tank! But my house was compwetewy destwoyed! Thank goodness my mommy and daddy were shopping at the time!" the little girl said, that making the guards frown at that.

"Sadly, we cannot dethrone Ammo Baron himself, as he is the new owner as of this morning..." the guards said, Ammo Baron giving a shit-eating grin at that. "...but we still can punish him for the attempted murder of a little girl. Ammo Baron, you are not allowed to do any renovations to the town in your liking, only as they were previously. And you will be forced to pay out a 300 thousand gem fine for the attempted murder," the guards said, me frowning at that as did Shantae and the others, but I then saw that Ammo Baron looked like he was very upset, but he wasn't able to speak because of him being dumbstruck.

"Yeah, and I want my home repaired!" the little girl said.

"Yes, yes, that will be the first area to be repaired," the guard said before they then gave the court summons to AMMO BARON instead of Shantae! "As for you, Shantae, you should go home and rest," the guard said before they went off to the palace, me looking at the others in the form of Mimic (the uncle), Sky, and Bolo, and Shantae. They all looked at me with concern before Shantae then spoke.

"T-Thank you, mister... I didn't know that there were male genies, no offence," she said, me knowing from Matilde that I had to pretend.

(Matilde? Can I tell her that I was sent by you to watch out for her? Or is that a no?)

(You can do so, just make sure she doesn't know about me being in your body)

"Very rare, but we do exist... your mother actually sent me to watch over you. And good thing, too," I said as I then saw that Ammo Baron was going from dumbstruck to anger, which he then simply went off in a huff while dragging the attempted child killer along the ground.

"This is all your fault, Lugnut," he growled.

"My mother... I'm just glad she's alive," Shantae smiled.

"I told you she was, Shantae," Mimic smirked widely.

"Well, if that's all done, I think that we should go back to what we were doing before, since it's clear Ammo Baron got his just desserts... maybe you should have that rest, Shantae, since Ammo Baron is gonna be paying big time," Sky smirked.

"Could you come with me, mister genie? I want to know more about you," Shantae smirked.

"But of course," I smiled as I simply floated after her... I missed my legs, sure, but floating nonstop without needing to touch the ground was kinda awesome. Shantae then got in her little lighthouse before then closing the door. And there was a bathtub right in front of us. "I think I'll take a small bath... could you turn around and not look back until I say so?" Shantae asked.

"Sure, I'll just look out the window to see the sea while we talk," I said as I then did so and smiled at the sight of seeing all the islands that were near Sequin Land.

"So what's your name, mister? My name is Shantae, but you probably knew that, right?" she smiled at me.

"My name is Ricky Harlem... and yes, your mother did tell me your name. She foresaw some dangers that would happen soon and asked me to come here to make sure you stayed safe," I said with a small smile, even if Shantae couldn't see it.

"I appreciate that... ever since that damn Risky Boots stole my genie powers with that magic lamp, I've felt so powerless," Shantae admitted... and then, I heard her go into the water. "Okay, you can turn around now," she smiled. I did so... and gasped at how she was only halfway in the bath, bearing it all in the nude! I immediately blushed and bashfully turned my head, which Shantae giggled at before she then went the whole way in the bath. "Hehe, didn't know you were the bashful type," she said, that making Matilde a bit annoyed, but I sighed at what had just happened. Seeing Shantae in the nude without it being on a porno site was actually... very nice.

(Shut your mind off of what you just saw or I'm smacking you with your own hand)

(Hey, it's her that did it, not me)

(I know and I hate it)

"Hey, why do you keep turning your head left and right?" Shantae asked as she finally got the bubbles going, me sighing at that.

"It's uh... hard to explain... I'm kinda debating with another side of my emotions about what I just saw... I'm trying to argue whether or not to be okay with seeing you naked, or if I'm supposed to feel shameful for doing it to the one I was supposed to protect," I said.

"Don't worry, I wanted to do it. After all, I don't know what would've happened if... wait... I don't own a bathtub!" Shantae shouted as she finally realized it. But then, I gasped as she then got sent into the air from the booby-trapped bathtub, her entire naked body being seen before then falling back inside of the bathtub and getting trapped by the grabby metal hands! And my blush was very intense, mainly because I saw her... hey-nanny-wanny...

"Ack! What's going on?!" Shantae asked... before none other than Risky fell down from the upper parts of the Lighthouse. At frist, she started laughing... but when she saw me, she stopped, which turned into a very concerned laugh.

"Hohohoho..hoho..hoo..." was how it sounded. "A... A genie... What are you doing with a genie?!" Risky Boots asked, me sensing the fear in her voice.

"And what are you doing in my house?! And giving me a booby-trap bath?! I demand to be released!" Shantae shouted in annoyance.

"You, genie, you do not interfere! I need to drill her for answers!" Risky said, me frowning at that.

"I'll only allow it if you release her. I'll make Shantae promise to not try anything funny," I said, Shantae frowning at me.

"I promise," she said with a frown.

"And if she does try anything?" Risky asked.

"Then I'll prevent her from doing so," I said. Risky then finally released Shantae from the restraints, causing the former half-genie to jump from the tub and hurriedly place on her clothes, me looking away and towards Risky, who I did see had none of her weapons on her. And after 10 seconds, Shantae was finished.

"Now, what do you want?" Shantae asked.

"I need to know why you stole my weapons and kidnapped my men!" Risky said in anger.

"I never did that!" Shantae spouted back.

"Oh yeah? Come with me, then, and I'll prove that you did so!" Risky said as she then led us to the next area to the west of Shantae's lighthouse, which was where Mimic's workshop was. And inside, we saw that there was a Tinkerbat in a small cage. "There! My crewman is trapped in there! Now spill the beans!" Risky demanded.

"I-I didn't know! Why not ask Uncle?" Shantae asked... but then, as they were arguing, I felt something bad... like, when you felt dirty all over despite not getting dirty... and then, I saw it... the dark magic from the Pirate King...

"Um, girls?" I asked, that not getting their attention. "GIRLS?! LOOK!" I shouted, them finally looking at what was going on, with the dark magic proceeding to enter into the capsule that the Tinkerbat was in.

"N-No... NO! It can't be!" Risky gawked. And then, the moment the Tinkerbat was touched by the dark magic, he started to painfully morph into the Cacklebat. "IT IS! A Cacklebat! You need to defeat it, quickly!" Risky said with fear in her voice, even more so than when she saw me for the first time. The bat-like monster then broke free from the glass cage and Shantae and I then proceeded to attack it. Shantae whipped her purple locks at it while I punched it. And when i did, I managed to completely trounce it, causing the black magic to emerge shortly after.

"Now to deal with that dark magic. Suck it up with this!" Risky said as she handed Shantae the magic lamp, her not even daring to question it and sucking up the dark magic... thankfully, though, I was unaffected by it. "Huh?... Strange... it should've also sucked you into it... you're not a normal genie, are you?" Risky asked me, me feeling like I'd have to give a half-truth to them.

"Hmph, very astute, are you? Yes, I am not the same as a normal genie. I am a combination of 100 percent human and 100 percent genie... a small incantation a hundred years ago made my body and mind merge with a genie, causing the two of us to be the both equal in the same body... that's also why I was shaking my head back and forth earlier, Shantae. Arguing with my genie self," I said, her then smiling.

"Ooooh, that's what's going on!... But why did you give me the magic lamp that ruined my life, Risky? Don't you want it back?" Shantae asked.

"We don't have time to waste. Especially if the Pirate King is coming back... I need to find a map to the Forbidden Isles, but I don't even know where to begin," Risky frowned.

"Well, why not try to look at ancient archives? This town should have a library or something, right?" I asked.

"That's right!... Only one problem, though, I'd need a library card to get in... maybe I should ask Sky if I can borrow her's?" Shantae asked.

"So that means I have to work together with this brat and a genie that could kill me in three seconds if he wanted to?... Ugh... this day keeps getting worse," Risky frowned.

"I could say the same thing, since I uh.. I saw you're uh... stuff... Shantae..." I said, her not getting it before she then blushed very heavily. "Yeah... when the bathtub booby trap activated... I have never blushed that much in my life..." I said, her then looking at me and then finally sighing.

"It didn't happen. Just forget it and move on," she said.

"Move on from what? And what happened?" I asked, her then sighing and smiling, finally.

"Exactly," she said.
