Natsu Dragneel was supposed to be dead, he sacrificed himself when the rest of the dragon slayers faced Acnologia; the dragon of the apocalypse. They fought Acnologia with all of their powers but seeing him unscathed through their attacks felt like it was hopeless, but never the less they fought with everything they got at their disposal. He remembered how the fight went.
"This is our final fight Acnologia." Natsu declared. While said dragon slayer had an amused face "Final? We haven't even started yet. How can it be final?" He chuckled until it became a full-blown laugh.
Natsu then released a Fire dragon's roar at Acnologia. The said person stood there and took the hit, as the smoke cleared, he came out unscathed and smirked "Is that the best you dragons could do?" He taunted.
Natsu who was clutching his wound on his arm "Magic doesn't hurt you, you say?" He said while standing up "So what?"
"-Then we'll just keep pounding you…" said Sting whipping the blood off his cheek, "-till it hurts," Rogue said while standing up.
"Now you're talking!" Gajeel said smirking. "Count me in!" Wendy now back at her feet. "Sounds good to me! Let's take him down!" Laxus said while cracking his knuckles.
"I can hear it..." Cobra said while taking his coat off, "Everyone's fighting spirit!"
"Let's do it!" Natsu yelled as they charged at Acnologia. The said person wasn't even phased as he continued to have an amused smirk on his face, "Your struggling is futile… you pathetic dragons."
Natsu tried to punch the dragon slayer with his ignited fist, but his fist was caught and he was kicked away. Gajeel tried to hit Acnologia with his sword-arm but the dragon of the apocalypse dodged and was blown away with a kick. Wendy then swooped in from the air but Acnologia was able to dodge and used Power of the End to blow Wendy away. Sting and Rouge then tried to strike from behind but he quickly dodged. Eric then leaped from the ground and tried punching the dragon but he was also kicked away. Laxus then coated his hands with lightning and tried to hammer Acnologia but said person caught both of his hands, Acnologia then used Power of the End causing Laxus to be blown away and crash to a crystal stalagmite
Acnologia then turned to the rest of the slayers and smirked.
Natsu and Gajeel then charged up their dragon's roar and released them to the dragon of the apocalypse. The said dragon stood there and raised his palm, causing the fire and iron dragon roar to deflect.
Sting who was up in the air chanted his light dragon slaying magic "Holy Ray!", the lights Sting generated then took the form of a large sphere, from which a number of white rays are fired towards the dragon of the apocalypse. As the spheres kept on crashing down, Acnologia effortlessly dodged through it and leaped from the ground.
Now Rouge and Eric also used their dragon's roar towards the dragon. The said dragon caught the attack with the palm of his hand but he was pushed back causing him to crash into a crystal stalactite.
Wendy charged at Acnologia and used her magic, "Sky Dragon Wave Wind!", this caused a tornado to be summoned and the Acnologia was caught in the middle of it causing him to crash into the ground. Laxus, who leaped into the air charged up his hands with lightning and chanted, "Thunder Dragon's Heavenward Halberd!", a bolt of lightning was then summoned and crashed at Acnologia.
As the smoke cleared the dragon of the apocalypse stood there completely unscathed and smirking, his eyes were now pure red. He then released a dragon's roar of his own at the dragon slayers. The roar completely engulfed all of the slayers who were trying to catch their breath.
As the smoke cleared six of the dragon slayers were on laying on the ground. Natsu was the only one left standing clutching his arm and kneeling, he was trying to catch his breath as the attack from Acnologia left him with little energy, he tried to stand but was unable to.
"It looks like this is the end, dragons. Not even one dragon can be allowed to remain in this world. For that is the meaning of dragon slaying… The meaning of my existence." The dragon of the apocalypse said.
However, Natsu then started to laugh causing Acnologia to caught his guard of in confusion "That's funny, coming from you. Aren't you a dragon too?" Natsu said as he slowly began to stand up, ready to fight again, "As long as you exist, there'll still be one dragon left", Natsu then smirked while Acnologia raised a brow, "Besides… We're humans. Simple, ordinary humans who've been given the dragons' powers. Don't flatter yourself, idiot." The rest of the downed slayers were now listening to Natsu. "Real dragons, in case you didn't know, are strong and noble… and kindhearted."
"Kindhearted? Dragons?" Acnologia questioned while gritting his teeth, "The dragons that took everything away from me… are kindhearted?" He clenched his fist, as he was remembering his childhood, "They devoured my family, burned my town, and even killed a little girl. How can you possibly claim that they're kindhearted in any way?" He said as his magic began to flare up, "It's ridiculous!" The surroundings were now engulfed with his power and causing Natsu to be blown away.
"Were you not listening?" Natsu questioned as the smoke started to clear, "I was referring to real dragons. Dragons came in all shapes and sizes. Just like us humans. Some are good, some are bad. Some are strong, some are weak. Some are cruel, some are kind." Natsu then emerged from the smoke and was coated with his fire and angrily looked at the dragon of the apocalypse. "And some are here to take you down."
"My attack didn't-? How?!" Acnologia now flabbergasted.
The rest of the slayers began to stand up but was unable to, realizing that it was useless they focused the rest of their power and now transferring it onto Natsu.
"I'm enchanting all of our magic power onto you, Natsu!" Wendy yelled.
"Get him, Natsu!" Laxus said.
"If anyone can do it, it's you!" Gajeel encouraged.
"We're counting on you, Natsu!" Sting said.
"All of our magic power…" Rouge started
"…is in your hands now!" Eric finished as all of the slayers transferred their power to Natsu.
"Yeah… I can feel it…" As the powers were transferred onto him, it flared until a shockwave of energy was released and fused with Natsu's fire. "Everyone's power has become my fire! This is… the power of seven Fire Dragons!" Natsu said as his fist was covered with a majestic colored fire.
"Your end is now, dragons! Behold, my power of destruction!" Acnologia said cockily as he prepared a Power of the end with his right hand. "Even with all of your powers combined… you are no match… for the Dragon King!" His eyes then suddenly became pure red and began laughing maniacally, "Destroy! Destroy! Destroy! I will destroy everything!"
The downed slayers looked at him in confusion "What the…" Eric said.
"He's…" the lightning dragon slayer began.
"gone berserk…" Gajeel concluded.
"More blood! Shower me with even more dragon blood!" Acnologia said while showing his power to the slayers.
"You can't end this on your own anymore, can you?" Natsu asked sadly as he charged toward the dragon king, the fire dragon slayer then leaped to the air screaming as his scarf harden and turned into dragon scales.
"Natsu!"
"Hit him with…"
"everything we got!"
"Only you can do it!"
"It's up to you!
"NATSU!"
Natsu's fire-coated fist was now five times larger as he charged at Acnologia. The dragon king tried to move but couldn't, he remembered this power all too well when he faced the Fire Dragon King Igneel, he won but it cost his left arm and it served as a reminder as to him that he wasn't the invincible dragon that he thought he was, now this boy; the son of Igneel will remind him of what he felt when he fought the fire dragon king. Fear.
The Fire Dragon slayer's fist was then met with the dragon of the apocalypse's face. The fire from Natsu was enough to cause an explosion and Acnologia was caught in the middle of it all, the dragon of the apocalypse never felt this much pain in four hundred years, and it wasn't a pleasant experience. As the explosion died out, Acnologia was sent crashing through some multiple stalagmites until he fell into the ravines of Time and Space.
Natsu was standing triumphantly while panting, his scarf had returned to normal and. He finally did it, he avenged his foster father and saved the world.
As Natsu was catching his breath, Acnologia was in deep thought while his body was decaying at slow rate. So, this is how he dies huh? The mighty dragon king lost to these hatchlings. It angered him to his very core, as he denies losing like this. He gathered his remaining strength and use Power of the End and aimed for Wendy. If he is going to die then at least he should take one of these brats with him. He then fired at her, the speed of his power was approaching at an alarming, while Wendy was still trying to stand.
Natsu quickly noticing jumped in front of her and shielded her from Acnologia's attack. Power of the End directly hit Natsu. Acnologia smirked before decaying through the ravines of space and time.
As the smoke died down, Wendy opened her eyes, she noticed that Natsu was hugging her, she then felt a drip of blood was falling on her face. When she looked again at Natsu, her eyes are widened with horror.
Natsu's face was covered in blood and had a hole through his chest. He then fell down to his knees, Wendy caught him and was trying to tend to his wound. He noticed that his vision was getting blurry, he tried to speak but coughed out blood. He then looked at Wendy who was now crying while tending to his wounds. He reached for her face and gave her a pained smiled.
Wendy then held his shaking hand. She knew that type of smile, she knew it all too well. It was like that time at her first guild, she had to say goodbye to everybody she knew there and left her alone, and that time when Grandeeny's last moment arrived. Wendy kept on crying as she didn't want to lose her brother, it was because of him that she was able to find friends, it was because of him that she found a family that can look out for her.
The rest of the slayers look down, tears dripping in their eyes and balling their fists. They couldn't do anything in this situation they felt useless while seeing their friend die.
Finally, Natsu felt that his eyes are getting heavy, he then closed his eyes and letting go of his hands on Wendy's face, however, the girl still held on, realizing what it all meant Wendy screamed while hugging Natsu's body.
Mondstadt the city of freedom. Crepus Ragnvindr is a tall man with pale skin, red eyes, and bright red hair, worn in a low ponytail that extends to his mid-back, and has a shaggy beard. He wore a black dress shirt, a long white vest, and a black ascot with a red gem. Over this he dons a dark brown coat that is adorned with golden trimmings and tassels, ending with black fur trims. He wears black pants which are embellished with chains on his right thigh.
Crepus was walking home, his job at Angel Share's was finally over. He can finally see both his sons Diluc and Kaeya. Well, Kaeya isn't actually his real son, because he adopted him, and to Crepus' surprise, they get along well. Minus the times that Kaeya keeps picking on Diluc though. The thought of those arguing made him chuckled. His thought came to a stop as he noticed someone is lying on the road.
The individual had a lean, muscular body and a slightly tanned skin tone, spiky pink-colored hair, and has abnormal sharp canines. His outfit was all torn up, his face was bloody, and was breathing heavily.
Realizing that there was no time to waste he quickly rushed to the individual and lifted him up to his shoulder and carried him towards dawn winery. He just hopes that he can save this boy in time.
I came up with this idea a few weeks ago, don't know if I could do a weekly update on this fic though, but I'll try. Also I got Ayaka (F2P btw).
