First off, many thanks to those who reviewed this fic, I really appreciated it and this gave me inspiration to work on the next chapter and here the current story arc picks up where the last chapter left, in which the Class of 78 and 77 are coming up with a way to expose the corruption within Hope's Peak Academy, and to do that, they'll be needing a lot of help here.

Expect some slice of life, and some comedy here while the tension builds up.

Ch. 44: Fukumen

At the Naegi residence, the scene shifts inside the house and zoomed towards the living room, where the Naegi parents are listening to what Kazuo Tengan and Jin Kirigiri are saying, as the two men are explaining to the Naegi parents about their son's current predicament, which did not sit well with the two parents, as they could not believe that their son, Makoto, was unjustly expelled for no justifiable reason, and that he was expelled in the middle of the school year.

Mr. Naegi stood up, and exploded in rage as it was clear to him that the new headmaster's action border on bullying and abuse, and made it clear that he will go to Hope's Peak and speak out his mind and demanded that the new headmaster reinstate Makoto right away.

Tengan stood up and urged Mr. Naegi to calm down, stating that what Mr. Naegi would do will be useless, and stated that Makoto's schoolmates are working out a plan to expose the Steering Committee and their corruption, and once the expose became public knowledge, the educational department and the board of directors will be compelled to reinstate Makoto, and those words somewhat appease Mr. Naegi considerably

He asked Tengan if they mean it about doing what they can to reinstate Makoto as a current student of Hope's Peak Academy again, and Tengan nodded as he assured to Mr. Naegi that Makoto will be brought back to Hope's Peak and everything will be set right.

"So, Mr. Tengan..."

"Yes?"

"You really mean it?"

"Yes."

"Will Makoto be reinstated as a student?"

"Rest assured, Mr. Naegi. Jin and I will exhaust all means to bring back your son to Hope's Peak Academy."

"Thank you, sir."

"..."

At the stairs, you can see Komaru eavesdropping, and she could not believe what she just heard, that her elder brother was unjustly expelled and that he won't be able to continue his studies since he is in the middle of the school year and transferring to a new school is out of the question at this time, and she felt like wanting to do something to help. However, she is caught by her mom, and there she tells Komaru to let her dad and Tengan and Jin to handle the matter.

Komaru reiterated that she could not just sit down and do nothing, but her mom gently assured to her that the problem right now is being addressed, and promised that Makoto will be brought back to Hope's Peak Academy as a student again and that the fools who unjustly expelled him will be punished. She tells her daughter to let the adults handle the matter and not cause her elder brother to get more worried than he already is.

"Let your dad handle this, Komaru."

"But, mom..."

"Everything will be okay."

"But onii-chan...!"

"Your brother will overcome this. I promise."

"Mom...why did this happened to onii-chan...?"

"Everything will be back to normal, Komaru. Trust me."

"..."

Komaru reluctantly nodded as her mom hugged her as they hoped that Tengan and Jin would do something about the matter, and that Makoto won't suffer a lot of emotional stress due to the corruption of the Steering Committee.

The next day, the scene shifts at the Kuzuryuu manor, where Natsumi is talking to her classmates from Class 80, where they are told of the situation she and Naegi are in, and she asked for their help in exposing the Steering Committee of their corruption and have her and Naegi reinstated as Hope's Peak students.

Saihara nodded as he adjusted his cap while Akamatsu and Rentaro stated that they too are ready to help out, and there Akamatsu requested to Iruma to make some inventions that would help monitor the Steering Committee's activities and find evidence that would expose their corrupt ways.

Iruma laughed haughtily and said she is willing if she get the RIGHT PRICE, claiming that she does not do requests for free, which Akamatsu sagged and begged Iruma to do it out of charity.

"Come on, Iruma-chan!"

"Nope."

"I'm begging you!"

"Name your price first. I don't do it for free."

"Please..."

"I'm not a MAKE A WISH foundation and stuff..."

"I'll do anything!"

"..."

As the two girls bicker, Chabashira stated that she won't mind helping Natsumi, but she won't be willing to help Naegi, saying he is better off expelled, and when Natsumi asked why, Chabashira said that she rather see Hope's Peak accepting girls and no boys will be allowed.

Natsumi asked why, and Chabashira said that boys are lechers and she is sure that Naegi would do lecherous activities the moment he is reinstated as a student, which Naegi reiterated that he is not that kind of a person, but Chabashira refused to budge and even deemed him a SEX MANIAC, prompting Naegi to defend himself from Chabashira's accusations.

"Chabashira-san!"

"I say that you are a maniac! A sex offender!"

"I'm not that kind of a person!"

"You can't fool me, you lecher!"

"I'm telling you that I..."

"Enough with your lies, you hentai!"

"I am not!"

"Liar!"

The living room became a bit noisy as Naegi and Chabashira argued, while Akamatsu is urging Iruma to reconsider in making an invention for free, and outside the living room, the Kuzuryuu parents can hear the loud bickering, and wondered if it is a good sign that Natsumi could be reinstated as a student of Hope's Peak, and they hoped that she would be soon, as the parents stated that they cannot wait forever as what the Steering Committee did was unacceptable and are weighing on the option of taking matter into their own hands.

"Looks to me that there is some progress..."

"But will Natsumi be put back inside Hope's Peak Academy?"

"Who knows. I feel like wanting to lead our men and shoot down those son of a bitches..."

"Wait, honey. Let's be patient."

"Huh? Why?"

"Mr. Tengan said that he is making steps...so let's wait and see."

"Hmph."

"..."

The following day, Class 80 member Kirumi Tojo is seen inside the headmaster's room, cleaning the office, and it was well-made and well-done. The new headmaster came in, and while he did not take kindly to students inside the office, he somewhat took exception seeing how tidy the office is and how the things are organized, and he asked Kirumi for her name and which section she is in.

"You. What's your name?"

"Kirumi Tojo."

"Which class are you in?"

"Class 80."

"Is that so..."

"..."

"Well then..."

"..."

The current headmaster then said that Kirumi did a good job, which she bowed, but then the headmaster told her that she is going to spend detention, which she asked why, and the headmaster said that Kirumi entered the headmaster's room without permission and that alone warrants a punishment, and gave her a choice: accept detention or be expelled.

"So then...what will it be...?"

"Huh?"

"Take detention...or be kicked out of Hope's Peak?"

"..."

"You have three seconds to decide."

"..."

"One...two..."

"..."

Kirumi stood there for a moment before choosing detention, and as she is at the door and about to exit, the headmaster kick her on her butt which caused her to collide against the wall, and it is clear that the headmaster is sadistic and a tormentor, and there the headmaster asked Kirumi if she has any complaints, which she only stare in reply.

"Get up."

"…"

"Any complaints?"

"…"

"Get out of my sight, you bitch."

"…"

"Now."

"…"

As Kirumi left, the headmaster locked the office and is heading for the meeting room, where the rest of the Steering Committee members are waiting, and by then the meeting commences, wherein it is revealed that Kirumi was here at the meeting room several minutes ago and is ordered to clean the office, and after that she is ordered to clean the headmaster's office.

The headmaster cruelly told the committee members what he did to Kirumi, and they all gleefully took pleasure, as they can now do whatever they want, and can bully anybody they deem as garbage, so that any student, in the committee's eyes deemed as a waste, will be compelled to drop out and forced to acknowledge that he has no talent.

"Good work..."

"You're the best!"

"I like what you did..."

"That will show them what we can do!"

"Show them who's the boss here."

"And make them feel miserable!"

"Ha-ha-ha..."

"Hee-hee-hee..."

The committee members also praised the headmaster for suspending Kyoko Kirigiri, saying that she is a problem due to her being Jin's daughter that her talent as a detective would expose them, and the headmaster assured to them that Kyoko won't be back for a while as he gave the order that her suspension is intermediate, meaning there is no timetable on when she would come back to Hope's Peak, and the committee members commended the headmaster for that.

The headmaster proclaimed that they will purify Hope's Peak and they will cleanse the academy of any DIRT they find, which the committee members agreed.

"YES SIR!"

Unknown to the headmaster and the Steering Committee members, Kirumi secretly placed a radio transmitter under the tables, which were Iruma's inventions, as the SHSL Inventor reluctantly accepted Akamatsu's request, and now the discussion of the headmaster and the committee members can be heard, and recorded, as the scene shifts at the classroom of class 80, where Saihara, Akamatsu, Rantaro and Chabashira are listening and recording the conversation.

They now have a reason to believe that the committee members have been planning to expel both Naegi and Natsumi due to deeming them as UNDESIRABLE because of their assigned talents, as well as a way to bully the students.

Moreover, since they knew that Jin won't let this happen, the committee members used their position and have Jin kicked out and have a puppet take his place and use the headmaster's position to expel the two teens. Akamatsu is determined to expose the committee members of their treachery, but Saihara urged her to be patient as they need more proof that would kick the committee members out of Hope's peak and reinstate Jin Kirigiri as the headmaster.

At Class 77's room, the conversation is also heard and recorded, and Fuyuhiko is livid at what he found out, and wants to lash out at them, but the others urged him to stick to the plan that Saihara made, and the SHSL Gangster is forced to comply and stay his hand.

Later, at the Kuzuryuu manor, inside the guest room where Naegi is staying, it was agreed (though Fuyuhiko was against it but is told to go along with it) that Naegi will be staying here for the time being while the investigation is ongoing, Saihara and Akamatsu showed the recording to Naegi and Natsumi, and there the two tens were in disbelief that the committee members have been planning their expulsion from the start, and that the committee members used their position to kick Jin out as headmaster, then replaced with a puppet and used the headmaster's position to kick the two teens out unjustifiably.

Naegi and Natsumi were upset, and humiliated that they became victims of bullying adults inside Hope's Peak Academy.

"That's it...? They did that...for what...?"

"Why those assholes...!"

"This is..."

"I'll kill them...I swear I'm going to kill them!"

"Those committee members...they like bullies...!"

"I swear...I'm going to kill them no matter what!"

"..."

"..."

Saihara then told the two teens to be ready, as they are making a move tomorrow, which Naegi asked what he meant, and Saihara said that Kyoko will be involved in this and that she will initiate the move to expose the corrupt committee members so that Jin and Kizakura will be reinstated.

"You mean...?"

"Yes, Naegi...Kirigiri-san will be joining us."

"Then...?"

"We're making our move...and expose those pigs and kick them out. That way Mr. Tengan will facilitate things and Mr. Kirigiri will be reinstated, and in turn will reinstate you and Natsumi will be brought back as students."

"Whoa..."

"So, Naegi...Natsumi...get ready...this is going to be a heck of a fight."

"Okay."

"Good."

Hope you like this chapter, as drama and tension unfolds where the committee members' reason for wanting Naegi and Natsumi kicked out from Hope's Peak are somewhat revealed. Class 77 and 80 went through a lot of effort and got results, and now they will need the right moment to strike…
