Sup guys? Lighting Wolf here, back with another story. This one about Genshin Impact. Enjoy the 800-word chapter. I don't own Genshin Impact, MiHoYo and a few others do.

"Where the hell did, he go!?" One person said while the figure continued running.

The thief continued running as he blinked and hummed. He looked over his shoulder and sighed while he continued to hum and look over his shoulders.

"Why weren't they distracted?" The person questioned and blinked. "I didn't want to shoot them." The person asked himself before he pulled up his hood.

The figure was a thief known as Balvant. And the thing he had stolen? A crate of weapons that they had stolen in the first place. Balvant sighed and rubbed his temples and pulled his mask over his face.

"I'm glad they didn't see my face." Balvant muttered to himself and cracked his fingers. "I cannot believe that I was hired to steal that stuff." Balvant said and hummed before he blinked and hummed.

Then he leapt off the ledge that he was on and landed on a rooftop. Then he continued to look over his shoulder and continued to sprint.

"This is ridiculous." Balvant said as he continued to rush over every rooftop. His boots made little noise while he vaulted and climbed from rooftop to rooftop.

Balvant looked for guards and saw nothing. His pitch black and blue cloak hid him perfectly in the moonlight.

"Then again?" Balvant muttered and leapt onto the side of a clocktower. He then started to climb up the stone little by little. "Whoever hired me never met me face to face. Maybe it was the guards… But why would they hire me to steal from their own guards?" Balvant stated to himself.

His clawed gloves allowed him to scale the stone like it was second nature to himself. Which it was, Balvant climbed while he looked down. There were no guards which made him look up at the top of the bell tower.

"Hmm…" Balvant muttered while he reached the top of the bell tower. He perched atop a statue.

Balvant leaned against the edge of the bell tower and blinked from behind his mask. Balvant couldn't understand what was happening below.

Balvant sighed and then leaned on the railing. He looked down at the city hummed while he pulled off his mask.

"Someone lured me into a trap and tried to kill me off." Balvant said as he sighed. "Great, now they think the teenager who doesn't kill people is a massive criminal." Balvant said and rubbed at his temples.

He set his mask aside from him, wondering what would happen next. Accepting another job could be a con and set him up to be thrown under the bus.

Balvant hummed and looked at the bag that he stole from the guards in the first place. It was something that he was interested in since he hadn't looked at it.

Still? Balvant enjoyed a challenge. If something was hard to break into? Then it meant that it was very challenging and fun to rip into.

Plus, even if they hated him? Balvant was sure that nobody would throw him under the bus too hard.

"Isn't like I kill anyone or do something that people could throw me under the bus." Balvant said to himself while he blinked.

Then a massive blast of light cut him off, almost throwing the young thief off his perch.

"What the hell?!" Balvant muttered while he blinked and rubbed at his eyes.

It didn't blind him, but it did cause him to wince in pain while he hummed in interest. Balvant hummed and then decided to head towards the source of the light.

"Nothing risked, everything missed." Balvant muttered to himself. Balvant sighed and started to climb down towards the source of the illusion.

Balvant kept his head down and looked around to see over towards where the guards where.

Balvant couldn't help but wonder if he was hired just to take a dive at the moment. It wouldn't be interesting at the moment. Balvant was amused at the prospect if someone wanted to throw him under the bus.

"Hmm, that would be plenty clever to begin with." Balvant stated to himself and chuckled before he continued to throw himself down the stone towards the floor.

Balvant had no idea he would be meeting a goddess soon.

Phew. Another chapter done! I want to point out that Balvant will be meeting Lumine soon. Next chapter will be in 2-10 weeks and such. Next chapter will show Balvant meeting Lumine and show more of his past and such. Until then, Lighting Wolf out!
