Prologue
It was getting late and Jack was making one last run to Burgess to give some fresh snow for the kid to play with tomorrow.
Christmas was just around the corner and so was Jack's birthday which was on the same day. It was the one thing he refused to tell his fellow guardian.
After doing everything that needed to be done and was back to the lake to the Oak of Sorrow to visits the Nods and thank them for being his eyes and ears why he gone.
Jack had a home, but he never told the guardian where it was located. The Oak of Sorrow let Jack stay and built his home under his roots. The tree gave him some kind of shelter and protections. Jack bed was formed by the tree itself. Jack knew if it wasn't for that tree he would not have survived three hundred years by himself. It took away his sadness and left only the good stuff.
Jack was getting close when a fireball hit him in the back, and knocking him out of the air. Hitting the frozen pond so hard he would want see Tooth to make sure that he didn't knock any loose. Praying that none of the children would come, not because of he was hurt, but because he knew this spirit would hurt anybody to get what he wanted not caring who got hurt.
Jack stood in pain and was badly burned and looked up, "Aiden, you know you're not supposed to be here in the winter.
"Like you care when it's Summer," the fire spirit said.
"I talk to the General of Summer and she said as long as I don't make it snow she don't care," Jack told him because the General of Summer was one of the few spirit that knew where Jack's home was.
"To bad I don't believe you," Aiden said throwing another fireball at Jack and missed when the winter spirit dodge.
"Come on Aiden. You know the punishment for attacking a seasonal," Jack shot ice lighting at him.
"I lose my power for a year big deal," Aiden hit him in the chest making the spirit winced.
"Do you the punishment for attacking a guardian," Jack told him using his staff to throw ice shards at him.
"You a guardian that's a laugh," Aiden made a large fireball in his hands. It was too big to dodge and would set the whole woods on fire so he took to the air.
"Aiden, you're going to kill somebody," Jack said knowing he was going to be hurt when he was engulfed by the fireball that he couldn't dodge.
Jack could barely move when he heard the sounds of whips, and Aiden swearing and hurrying off.
Seeing a gold cloud Jack smiled before passing out.
Sandy heard the fight while he was giving dreams to Jack's believers. He saw Jack take to the air knowing very well the fireball could catch the whole town on fire if it hit the ground.
Sandy wanted to go after the spirit, but Jack needed help and fast. Picking up Jack's charred staff. Sandy was able to use his whip to help him get Jack unto his sand cloud and headed to North's.
