Alright, I couldn't sleep with this resting on my thumb drive. I hope that people are willing to give this a chance since its all written out. It uses a slightly different writing style than what I normally use. I've done my best to set it up as if it is an Episode of the Teen Titans. Enjoy it.

Teen Titans: Season Six

The view showed a portion of the city in the nighttime. The downtown skyscrapers were all lit up. Car horns sounded down below...

The view switched to show a common dark dank alley in the city from up above. A dark lump was lying in the shadow of a dumpster on the ground.

The view shifted to show from ground level.

"Ohhhh..."

The lump groaned for a second. It winced, and a hand moved up to its head.

"What the fetch?" A slightly higher, but male sounding voice spoke. He sounded to be in a little pain.

The guy reached out to the dumpster, gripping the side of it. He pulled himself up, bringing him out of the shadow of the dumpster.

It was a young teen, wearing simple black shorts and a white t-shirt. He had black hair, and looked like he had just woken up from a long nap. He looked around, his brown eyes growing confused as he took in his surroundings.

"Where am I?" He asked.

From his view, all he could see was walls around him. Along with the dumpster behind him, and what looked like a few metal trash cans farther down. There was nothing on the ground around him to indicate what had happened.

He checked the back of his head again, the pain from before slowly fading away. He brought his hand to his sight again, seeing no blood on it.

"Dang, what happened to me?" He said.

Honk! Beeeeeep!

A car horn drew the teen's attention back down the alley. He saw the busy night street at the end of it. It wasn't exactly a destination, but it was better than being in some dark and creepy alley all alone.

"I guess I'll start there." He said.

The view showed the teen walk down the alley, heading out into the streets of Jump City. After a few seconds, his form disappeared around the corner of the left building. The view stayed in the dark dank alley, looking towards the exit.

...

"Mmrrr." A shadowy creature appeared out of the ground, taking up most of the view. It faced the way that the teen had just went. It looked almost as big as the dumpster next to it.

The view from the front showed a single red light light up in it's chest. It flashed, and then a series of red rays issued out, scanning around it. They went over the dumpster, walls, and the ground. The laser lights reflected off the clear metallic skin of the creature.

After a couple seconds, the creature let out a small affirmative beep. The lasers cut off their light, putting the alley back into darkness. "Mrr." It let out a small metallic screech, and disappeared quickly back into the ground where it had came from.

KCH!

The view showed a shiny red and yellow bird-a-rang impale itself into the ground where the creature had been. The middle part and top bladed point still sticking out from the cement.

"Dang it. It got away again."

The view showed five figures appear from farther down the alley. The lead one walking forward to pull out his bird-a-rang. He had been the one who muttered the phrase.

"Aw dude, I thought we finally had it this time." One of them in the back complained in a drowsy voice.

"Thought being the key word." Another said monotonously with a hint of irritation.

"Yo man this thing is just costing me too much sleep lately." A third more mature and boisterous voice complained loudly.

"Oh how I miss my bed of sleep and my little bumgorf doing the nesting in my hair." A fourth cheerful, yet tired voice complained.

The lead person looked back at his tired teammates. He opened his mouth to say something, then let out a small and tired sigh. "Alright Titans, that's probably the only time we'll see the Substance tonight anyways. Let's head back to the Tower and recuperate." Robin said in his leadership tone.

The five figures disappeared back into the shadows. Leaving the alley behind...

The view went dark.

The view showed a part of the city in the early morning daylight. People were bustling about on the sidewalks. Cars were driving through busy intersections. The storefronts were thriving with business...

'Meet the Titans', appeared in white at the bottom of the view for a few seconds, before fading away into the air.

The view zoomed in on the left sidewalk.

"Excuse me sir. Do you know where I am?" The teen from last night was asking some random businessman in a suit coat. Looking a little nervous.

"You're in the wrong part of the city kid. I'd suggest going back to school where you belong." The man said rudely to the teen, before continuing on his way while talking on his phone to someone.

The teen opened his mouth to speak, and then sighed to himself before he continued walking past many more people on the sidewalk. Not talking to any of them, and trying his best to avoid causing a problem.

He continued down the sidewalk, looking around every now and then at the stores he walked by. He started to cross a crosswalk without looking at the light.

Honk!

The teen instantly jumped back, avoiding the red car that had honked at him as it sped by. He quickly got back onto the sidewalk with everyone else, waiting for the walk sign to illuminate on the other side.

"Stupid kids these days, not paying attention to anything." One of the older adults behind him said.

"Geeze, I'm definitely in the wrong place..." The teen muttered a little angrily to himself, feeling embarrassed. The crosswalk sign illuminated then, and the teen continued on his way.

"Thank you Jenny for that wonderful report, now we'll have Bob give us the weather for the week."

The teen was walking by a TV store, when one of the TV's that was on caught his eye. He turned, and saw it was on the weather forecast for some news company.

"Thanks Jerry, and might I just say it looks like a nice week for the metropolis of Jump City today. With highs in the upper 80's and lows in the low 60's to high 50's. So if there's any day to hit the beachfront..." The weatherman was saying.

The teen shrugged, and turned away to continue walking down the busy street. "Jump City... strange." The teen said. Not paying attention to the TV anymore. The view stayed back at the TV.

"And thank you Bob for that lovely forecast. Tune in later today, when the results come in from the city council vote on additions to the prisons proposed by vigilante and Teen Titan's Leader Robin. To, as he said, keep our supervillains locked behind bars, and to keep the citizens of Jump City safe. This is JCNews.' The newslady said.

The view changed to a busy borderwalk by the bay.

The teen from before was walking along by the railing of the walk. Looking down at the water of the bay to his right. The other people on the sidewalk walked by him.

"For being next to a city, the water actually looks pretty nice." The teen commented.

He paused in his walking to look out over the bay. The view showed only a single large cargo ship slowly moving it's way across the bay. Blocking the middle of the bay from view. A flock of birds was also flying out in the light of the midmorning sun.

The teen sighed to himself. "Why the heck am I here? I can't remember..." He trailed off.

...

"Excuse me sonny."

The teen stiffened at the voice, and turned around. It was an old man in plaid green clothes, leaning on a cane.

"Yes?" The teen asked confused.

"Could you by any chance direct me towards Wayne St? I seem to have gotten lost." The old man said, chuckling to himself.

The teen relaxed, seeing the old man wasn't like everyone else he had met so far. "Sorry, I don't really know my way around the city either." The teen responded.

"Oh, so you're new here then?" The old man asked.

The teen nodded. "Yeah, I guess you could say that. I'm sorry I can't help." The teen said.

The old man chuckled. "It's fine young lad. No one is perfect on their first day somewhere." The old man replied.

"I guess..." The teen said despondantly.

The old man started to shuffle away, when his head turned back. "Oh, and may I ask what your name is?" He asked.

"Um... my name is... Adam." Adam said after a moment as if he was unsure of his own name.

The old man smiled a little wider. "Well welcome to Jump City then Adam. I hope you'll like it here." He said, before he faced away again and shuffled away through the crowd with his cane.

The view showed Adam looking after the old man for a few seconds more, then he started to walk away from the bay too. Heading towards a street that'd lead him somewhere else in the city. As he got closer, he saw the sign that labeled what street it was.

"Oh, there's Wayne St." He said. He turned to look out over the busy boardwalk, but the old man from before was long gone. Adam shrugged, and walked away down the street.

The view moved, showing the bayfront again where he had just been standing. The cargo ship that had been out a few hundred yards in front had moved out of the way at last. Showing a giant red bridge in the distance going across a part of the bay. And in the middle of the bay, there was an island, with a blue and white T-shaped Tower on it.

The view showed the sun in the sky. It quickly traveled higher and higher into the air with the passing of time. Soon it was past midday.

The view lowered, showing Adam walking alongside another crosswalk. The buildings to his left had disappeared, and instead showed a series of trees and fields of grass. A sign nearby labeled it as the Jump City Park.

After a few more steps, Adam moved onto a path leading into the park. The people around him disappeared for a moment as he walked alone on the path through the trees. It wasn't long until he came out into the park itself.

"I was starting to think that green didn't exist in this place." Adam noted as he gratefully walked onto the fresh green grass.

The view showed kids playing all sorts of games in this part of the park. From football and frisbee, to something as simple as freeze tag. Adam walked by one such group, where five kids were standing in various positions from when they were frozen. Some had to balance on one foot, others were lying flat on the ground.

The adults were sitting at benches, picnic tables, or on set out blankets. With picnics, grills, electric stoves, etc. making food. Some were watching their kids, others conversed with one another, and some took the oppurtunity to nap in the shade of the trees. None paid much attention to the teen who had wandered in on the scene.

Adam continued walkiing. He looked nervously around him at everyone. Then the people thinned, until there was no one around as he walked by one picnic in a more secluded area of the park.

It was a nice set-up, with a picnic table, books, a lot of mustard for some reason, and a working grill to the side. Adam was walking a few feet from the grill, when the smell of barbeque ribs hit his nose like a freight train going 200 on a fast track. He stopped dead in his tracks.

"Is that... Texas style barbeque ribs." Adam said as his nostrils flared, looking towards the grill. His eyes boggled at the sight, and his stomach growled hungrily in agreement.

The view showed the biggest, juiciest, tastiest looking ribs. Cooked almost to perfection. With rich, dark, thick barbeque sauce dripping off the side in the most enticing of ways. The view showed Adam drooling at the sight...

Then the ribs suddenly stood up on the grill. A pair of legs, a pair of arms, a mouth, and eyes appeared on it. It put it's arm on it's hip in a sassy manner. "Come on man, you know you're wanting to try me." It said in a deep booming voice.

"Whoa!" Adam quickly backed up, shaking his head in surprise. After a second, he looked again, and the view showed the ribs sitting normally on the grill like before. No extra limbs, eyes, or mouth anywhere on it. Adam rubbed his eyes just to make sure, but when he looked it was still just a rack of juicy ribs grilling on an unattended grill.

"Whoa, now that was weird." He muttered, turning and walking away from the picnic out across the grass again. He looked weirded out by what had happened.

"What the heck is up with this place?" Adam muttered, putting his hands into his pockets. Not really paying anymore attention to what was around him anymore. He didn't see the teens nearby, playing a game of football.

"Let's see, I have no clue how I got here, or where I'm going..." He stopped walking in realization. "Fetch, I don't remember where I came from. Or if I have a home or family to go back too..." He gripped the sides of his head trying to get himself to think.

"Come on. There has to be something-"

A loud gurgle sounded from his stomach, cutting him off. "Great. First I have a possibility of being mostly amnesiac, and now, I'm so tired and hungry that I can't think..."

Adam groaned in frustration. Not hearing the teens who were behind him now. "Is there any fetching way that this could possibly get wors-" He was saying.

"Incoming dude!" Adam heard a higher pitched voice yell behind him.

Adam turned around to see what was coming. The view showed a shadow coming towards his face.

Klonk!

The view went dark...

...

...

...

"Dude, is he dead?" The little high male voice from before said a little nervously.

"I think he's breathing doofus." A monotonous, yet female voice replied dryly.

"Oh, he looks the really pale to me." A higher female peppy voice said after her.

"Ugh..." Adam groaned.

"Shhh, I think the man is waking up now. Give him some space peeps." The mature voice of the group said. There was the sound of footsteps moving back, one sounding especially heavy on the ground.

Adam struggled to open up his eyes. The bright sun up above was blinding him. Which blocked his view of the teens above him. He blinked over and over again trying to clear the haze as he lifted his head off the ground and rubbed the bump on his head.

"Who are you guys?" He murmered, trying to make out the forms above him.

It was at that time that a small cloud got in front of the sun. The figures above him finally came into focus. The view shifted to the Teen in front above Adam.

"Um... we're the Teen Titans." Robin said, a little confused. Adam was shown, staring up from the ground in disbelief.

"What?..." Adam said, shocked speechless for once in his memory. Which likely wasn't very long.

"Man you must have been hit in the head really hard or something to forget a famous group of heroes like us!" Cyborg said, while glaring at Beast Boy next to him.

Beast Boy chuckled nervously, putting a hand behind his head as he stepped back. "Heh, sorry about the throw dude. I didn't think it'd fly quite so far." He said a little sheepishly. A nervous drop of sweat appeared almost anime style on the side of his head.

Adam just stared up at them. Not saying anything as if he was taking it in.

"Oh we are so the sorry for what happened. Please do the forgiving of us." Starfire said next, tears gathering in her eyes.

"I thought you had been trying to throw the football at Cyborg." Raven said blandly to Beast Boy.

"Hey, it's not my fault the wind blew it the wrong direction!" Beast Boy said angrily, turning to face her.

"What wind?" Raven pointed out. Beast Boy fumed, as if he was going to retort.

At that moment, Adam finally tried to get up. Looking like he was still trying to process what was going on around him.

"Whoa, you might want to rest for a little bit longer. You were out for a good few minutes there-" Robin was saying, as he grabbed for Adam's arm to steady him.

Adam's eyes went wide. And he backed away quickly, a million different thoughts that seemed to only make sense to him went through his head. "No way, there's no way." Adam muttered to himself. The heroes around him looked confused.

"Rob, I think his heartrate is spiking." Cyborg said, his scanner in his arm going off the charts.

Robin backed away, suddenly wary as he put a hand to his belt. Adam saw the action, and his eyes went wide.

"Whoa!"

Before the Titans could react, the random civilian teen they had found lying on the ground sped right between Beast Boy and Raven. Disappearing quickly into the bushes under the trees of the park. It was almost as if Flash had taken his place for a moment. Leaving a trail of leaves up in the air behind him.

The view moved to the path Adam had taken through the bushes. The Titans faces appeared, looking into it. "What the heck was that about?" Beast Boy asked.

"With how fast he ran, that boy could give Wally a run for his money." Cyborg said in disbelief.

"Did we do the scaring of him off?" Starfire asked curiously.

"I wonder how we could possibly do that." Raven said, almost sounding sarcastic.

The Titans looked back to Robin. "Yo, should we go after him Rob to see what happened?" Cyborg asked.

The view showed Robin opening his mouth to speak.

The communicator in his pocket beeped then, and he closed his mouth. He pulled out his T-Com and opened it, showing a red dot in the middle of downtown. "Whoever that was, it'll have to wait. There's trouble downtown." He said curtly.

The others looked to each other, giving a shrug. Cyborg groaned though as he remembered something. "Aw man, why do villains always strike when my famous Texas barbeque ribs are almost done!?" Cyborg complained.

The view switched to another random street. Adam was still running, zig zagging his way through the people around him.

"Heh, huh, heh, huh."

Adam finally slowed to a stop, breathing in and out heavily. He gripped the pole to the left of him with his left hand, looking down at the sidewalk. People kept on walking by him like nothing was wrong.

After a couple seconds, Adam walked across the sidewalk and leaned against the wall. He was still breathing in and out heavily. The view showed his face scrunched up, and his eyes closed.

...

"There's no way... I know them from somewhere... but I can't remember why..." He muttered in between breaths.

Adam opened his eyes again, turning to look in front of him. The view showed the random street he had been walking down. His breathing finally calmer, he got up from the wall.

"Now that I think about it, maybe they might have known me... or at least what happened to me." Adam said, looking back the way he came. The view showed just what looked like another random street. With no directions back to the park.

After a moment, Adam shook his head. "Great. Way to go me. Running away from the only help I could've gotten today." He said, before he turned to walk down the street again. Going away from the way he had came.

The view switched to another part of the city, towards the front of a power plant. All the workers had evacutated, leaving room for the fight taking place in the middle of the road leading to the plant.

"Hahaha! Ssshocking, isssn't it!" The giant electric behemoth called Overload said chuckling, while he shocked the pale Titan in his grip over and over again.

Zzt! ZZt!

"Ugh!" Raven groaned in pain as she tried to concentrate on her powers. The repeated shocks weren't helping her.

Boom!

A yellow disk exploded against Overload's right arm, making the hand holding Raven disappear. She floated gently down onto the ground, recuperating from the electric shock therapy she had been given while Overload staggered back from the explosion. His right arm reformed of pure electricity.

"Hey, that'sss cheating!" He called out, as he turned to face Robin, Cyborg, and Starfire.

Ksch! Ksch! Boom!

The two unexpected starbolts and sonic cannon blasts pelted Overload in the face, making Overload stumble back onto the ground with a resounding 'Oomph!'.

"Now Beast Boy!" Robin yelled.

Before Overload could move, a large green elephant appeared over him. A trunk full of water aimed at his chest.

Phmmmm!

"Ah! Nooooo..." Overload screamed in agony. Water streamed over his shrinking blue electric body. The elephant's torrent didn't relent, but increased in intensity as it released it's payload. After only a few seconds, Overload was nothing but a large blue microchip, lying in the middle of a puddle of water.

The green elephant morphed, until a grinning green Beast Boy stood in it's place. He picked the chip up off the ground. "Looks like you just got unplugged." He said with a laugh.

"Aw, quit it with all the ssstupid puns." The chip muttered angrily.

"For once, I agree with him." Raven muttered dryly, as she approached with the rest of the team. Her blue cloak burnt in a couple of different places. Cyborg was grinning widely.

"Way to go man!" Cyborg said happily, giving Beast Boy a mighty pat on the back. Beast Boy almost dropped the villain in his hands from the hard slap.

"Dude, careful, I'm not made of metal like you." Beast Boy complained. Cyborg laughed again, while Raven rolled her eyes.

"Does this mean we can do the going back to the park now?" Starfire asked.

Robin was about to respond, when his communicator beeped at him again. He pulled it out again and opened it.

"Aw c'mon! Don't tell me there's another villain out already!?" Cyborg complained.

Robin looked up, and then help us his communicator for the Titans to see. "The Tower's scanners just picked it up in the city."

The Titans looked, and all of them frowned. "Dude, I thought that thing was only appearing at night now." Beast Boy said confused.

"For once, I agree with him. Why is it showing itself now?" Raven asked as Beast Boy gave her a cold glare at her first comment.

Robin pulled up the coordinates, showing where it had just been spotted. "Whatever it's doing now, it's heading towards the city square." Robin muttered.

Cyborg moaned to himself in agony. "I'm not going to be able to eat those juicy barbeque ribs today, am I?" He asked as if in deep pain. While walking over to his beloved T-Car.

The view switched again, showing Adam wipe some sweat off his forehead. "They weren't kidding earlier when they said high 80's." He said as he looked up at the sky. The buildings around him had finally opened up again, and the view showed more of the blue sky up above. The sun was still high, but closer to the eastern horizon where the bay was. The T-Tower from before was in view again in the bay.

"It must be what, like late afternoon now." Adam muttered to himself as he looked ahead of him again.

The view in front of him was a giant grassy expanse, as long as two football fields. A few trees were spread evenly around the perimeter of the grass. There was also a big sidewalk going around and through the middle of it. Leading to a large building in front of him. The crowd of people here was more dense, with everyone hustling about for the end of the workday.

Adam walked forward through the crowd, getting a couple glances because of his nonprofessional attire. But otherwise he was left alone. He sat down at a bench halfway between what looked to be the capital building and the rest of the city.

"What a day." He muttered quietly to himself, closing his eyes while stretching his arms out across the bench. The view shifted to the side, showing him sitting alone on the bench.

"What did I do to end up here in the world of all places." He said, sounding just a little down.

After a moment, Adam opened his eyes and looked in front of him again, seeing the crowd of people around him thinning. A good amount of people got into cars parked on the sides of the road, and began their long drive through the rush hour traffic home.

He quickly looked to the sun, which was lower than he had realized. "It's already getting towards evening... great..." Adam said, as he got up from the bench and looked around.

"Where do I go now though? I don't even know-" He was saying.

"Ahhhhh!"

Adam quickly turned, hearing the scream in the distance. The view showed several crowds of scattering people near the street, running towards him. He looked on confused.

"What-"

Crash! Thump!

"MMRRR!"

A tree was toppled over, revealing a giant white machine with two metallic legs, arms, and a pulsing red light in the middle of it's chest. Adam stiffened at the sight, while the people around fled. The creature screeched as the red light looked to be scanning the crowd of people.

"I might not have many memories, but I don't believe a crowd of people would run away from something that was good." Adam said, before he turned tail and ran. Going diagonally across the grass away from the crowd towards a city street.

"Mmrrr!" The machine screeched in the distance again. Adam turned his head to see why. His eyes widened, and the view around him showed a shadow coming towards him from the sky.

"Holy fetch-" He yelled while jumping back.

KSSSH!

The tree from before skidded on the ground in front of him. Hitting the ground with a big jolt. It left branches and leaves all in it's path. Adam quickly got back up and looked back. The view showed the giant machine thing was ignoring the crowd now, and was running towards him.

"Seriously! What did I do to you?!" Adam yelled as turned tail and started running again, this time at a dead bolt. He pounded his legs as he jumped over the tree, trying to get the speed from before. For some reason though, he couldn't get it in that moment.

"Fetch! I might not remember much, but I'm pretty sure I wasn't being hunted down before I woke up here!" He yelled as he ran.

He got off the grass and ran across a street filled with cars that had been abandoned by fleeing people. Then just as he was nearing the other side, the white creature from before appeared from the sidewalk in front of him.

"Are you kidding!? Like it wasn't bad enough that it was big?!" Adam yelled as he turned to run down the street.

Whack!

The Substance whacked him to the side, and Adam was thrown down the street from the impact. Landing hard on the pavement. He cried out in pain, but fortunately he didn't feel any broken bones or anything.

The view showed him getting up onto his hands and knees. Then he was grabbed right off the ground. Being left in the grip of the white machine in front of him. It was like he was being squeezed by concrete as he was raised towards the red light in its chest.

"Ow, let me go!" Adam yelled.

When Adam was in front of the light, a red field appeared around him. Adam kept on struggling to move, even though he couldn't wiggle around very much. After a moment, the field around him turned green.

The machine dropped the teen from it's grip. Adam landed painfully on the ground, he got on his hands and knees again. "Thank you for that. Can I go now?" He muttered as he tried to get up.

Snatch!

Suddenly, he was snatched again, and the view showed him high up in the air above the creature. The tight grip from before was much tighter, and it was like the very air was being choked out of Adam. He would have screamed from the pain if he had any air left to do so.

The view from his vision started to turn black around the edges. "Mmr. Mmr. Mmr. Mmr. Mmr." The mechanical sounds coming from the Substance sounded oddly like deep evil laughter as Adam came close to blacking out in its grip.

View zooms out to show creature holding up Adam.

Boom!

Suddenly, a bright blue laser hit the white creature's side. It stumbled, and let go of Adam to face the threat.

Kapow!

It was sent flying down the street into the side of a building from a mega punch. Courtesy of the fierce Tamaranean war princess who appeared in the view, her green eyes blazing brightly with energy. "You have done the costing of too much sleep for me and my friends for the last time!" She screamed at it, before flying off in her righteous fury. She was already unleashing a pair of green eye beams.

The view showed Adam being set down lightly on the ground on his hands and knees. He looked confused until the black around his vision disappeared.

The view zoomed out again, and showed Raven in all her silence and calmness glide quietly past him, two big trucks encased in black behind her. She was followed by a fast and fierce looking green falcon, and the leader of the Titans himself. Robin using a grappling hook to propel himself forward, several disks already in his free hand. Adam got on one knee. A look of awe and appreciation was on his face.

A metallic hand suddenly grabbed his shoulder gently, helping him up from the ground. The view showed Cyborg, who was quickly scanning Adam for damage.

"Yo, you okay man?" Cyborg asked him quickly. Barely recognizing that it was the teen from earlier.

"Well, yeah, but how did-" Adam was saying.

Boom!

The view showed the two of them look to the side, as Starfire walked out of the crater in the wall. She dusted off her shoulders, and then rejoined the fight. Blasting star bolts from her fists.

"Okay, stay back for now man! Me and the others will handle the Substance!" Cyborg said, before he ran down the street. His sonic cannon extending out from his right arm again. Within seconds he was firing a blast of sound at the large Substance again.

Adam stayed back, watching the fight unfold before his eyes. "Whoa..." Adam muttered in awe.

The view showed the Substance land on the hood of a car after getting hit by a blue beam of sound. Its composition changed, becoming the red metal of the car below it.

It moved to get up, when Raven appeared above it. Her arms raised, and her two trucks up above her.

She then brought them down.

Bam! Bam!

The Substance was knocked off the red car onto it's arms and legs. Before it could try to get back up, Raven brought her arms to the sides...

Whack! Whack!

The two trucks again hit the Substance like a bat down the road. It did a flip in the air before landing back on it's legs. It's composition changed to the cement beneath it as it looked up and ran forward.

Pow!

Starfire was right there though, her fist breaking right through it's right leg. The Substance looked off balance from the surprise attack.

Kcth!

Then she kicked up, her strength cutting right through the cement left arm. The limb joined it's brother leg underneath it on the ground. Starfire then brought her fist back...

Whack!

The Substance retaliated before she could hit, knocking her back with it's other rocky fist. She slammed back into a car, denting it with the force of impact. With the Titan knocked away, the Substance turned white again, and it's leg and arm reattached themselves to its body. It then picked up the car next to it, prepping to throw it at the recovering Titan.

Boom!

A disk exploded right by the Substance, grabbing it's attention. It turned again to see Robin and Cyborg running towards it. Cyborg shot again, knocking the car from the Substance's grip. While Robin used his grappling hook and shot right between it's legs, latching onto a pole behind the Substance. Robin propelled himself forward through the air. Two more disks in his hands.

The Substance made to hit down at Robin right when he was going through between his legs. When Robin threw the two disks up at the Substance, getting it right at its glowing red light.

Kckckck!

The view showed the Substance encased in ice, unable to attack as Robin flew beneath it. It changed it's composition to ice to move again.

Cyborg, who was down the road still, then hefted what looked like a green ball in his hands. A grin was on his face. "Yo, I think it's time we shatter this one for the record books!" He yelled, before he chucked the green armadillo at the ice Substance. It spun quickly in the air like the world's biggest spinning green curveball.

Crash!

The green armadillo's tough shell hit the Substance just below the glowing red light in it's chest, and the Substance shattered into many small pieces. The view showed the red light among the pieces blink for a moment more, before it turned off.

The green armadillo stayed spinning in the air above it for a second more, before it morphed back into Beast Boy, who landed lightly on the ice covered ground. The other four Titans walked up next to him. Looking down at the melting remains of the Substance.

The view showed Adam farther back still standing in his place, watching what had happened with an awestruck face. "Again, I might not remember much... but that was awesome." He muttered.

The view switched back to the Titans, Cyborg was scanning the icy pieces on the ground that had mostly melted by that point. "Yo, do you think it's finally down now Robin?" He asked.

Robin bent down and picked up what looked like the CPU to it. It was white and cube shaped, and had a small hole in the front where the red light from before showed. "I think so, it's not reforming like it did before-" Robin was saying.

Then the red light suddenly blinked back on.

"MMMMMMRRRRRRR!" The cube shrieked metalically.

Robin dropped the cube, and also dropped with the other Titans onto the ground. Their hands were over their ears to try and block out the metallic screech. "Augh!" Beast Boy yelled in pain. Adam farther back got back down on one knee, hands over his ears too.

While the Titans were trying to recover from the sudden loss of hearing, all the water from the ice that had melted before swirled around the cube as it raised back into the air. Within a couple seconds, the hulking white Substance from before was in front of them again. Ready to fight.

"Titans, get back!" Robin yelled. Trying to get back up.

"Javelins of grorban?!" Starfire yelled back confusedly as she tried to get straight up not looking at the threat.

"What are you all saying!? I can't hear anything?!" Cyborg said confused. Not only his hearing, but his vision looked to be affected by the screech that had scrambled with his mechanical senses. He was getting up, along with Raven.

Whack!

Suddenly all four Titans who had been trying to get up got knocked away with one swipe of the Substance's arm like a hite from a baseball bat. Robin hit against a blue car and fell to the ground. Raven landed hard on the sidewalk. And Cyborg and Starfire were both sent flying into two separate buildings. Disappearing from view.

Beast Boy groaned, still trying to recover from the screech that had hurt his sensitive ears. He was getting up, not realizing the danger right in front of him.

The view switched to Adam, who looked up just in time to see Raven land near him on the sidewalk. He ran over immediately, not quite sure what to do to help. As he ran though, he heard a loud hit, and looked over to see the Substance whack Beast Boy back down onto the ground.

"Dudes, a little help!" Beast Boy groaned out.

Adam stopped and quickly surveyed the situation. There was no other Titans around Beast Boy, and the other Titans were still recovering from the hearing loss and hit. The Substance was raising it's arms to deliver a fierce downward blow.

At that moment, it was like time seemed to slow down. Adam still saw the Substance raising it's arms. Raven was starting to sit up on the sidewalk. Cyborg and Starfire were just getting out of their separate buildings. And Robin was still struggling to get up off the ground. All of it in slow-motion.

Adam glanced down at his hands. He still didn't look confident, but he started running towards the Substance in the middle of the street. Even though it seemed too far away. Even though he didn't have much chance of helping. Even though he felt if he somehow distracted it, he'd end up as a pancake on the road, he charged.

The view showed his face scrunching up almost as if in righteous anger.

Time resumed it's natural pace. The view showed the Substance, it's arms now raised to strike down on the green hero. Beast Boy looked up just in time to see the two solid white arms coming towards him to smash him into the street.

Then another white something traveled over his vision.

Wham!

The view showed the Substance sent flying far back down the road. It was sent like an arrow into the side of a semi. Completely wrecking the side of it.

The view switched to Beast Boy, who gasped at the sight in front of him. "Dude..." He muttered. The other Titans were up by then, and gasped at the sight.

The view finally showed Adam. At least the figure from before who had been Adam. Now instead of the civilian they saw before, he was now dressed in a flowing white robe. A shining gold breastplate, girdle, arm shields, and other armor attachments covering parts of his body. He had a gold insignia in the middle of his breastplate, an A was etched into it. A brazen gold buckler was attached to his left arm. And his eyes flashed with a golden righteous fury only before seen on Starfire.

The Substance quickly got back up, picking up the semi behind it and throwing it. As it approached, Adam stretched out his right hand, a flaming golden sword appearing in it. Just when it was about to hit, he slashed out, calmly slicing the wrecked semi in two. The two pieces flew to the sides behind him.

"You and your kind will not claim this world!" Adam's voice, filled with an authority that wasn't there before, sounded to the Substance.

The Titans stood in the back now, watching with confusion what was going on. "What's going on?" Robin asked.

"It appears that that teen was a lot more than what we thought he was." Raven dryly replied.

"Mmmrr!" The Substance screeched again in challenge, before it picked up a nearby car, and chucked it at Adam again.

Adam ran forward towards the approaching semi, his feet almost seeming to fly over the ground with his white cloak trailing behind him. Despite his armor, he jumped up with the car just feet from him, and then he sliced downwards with his sword. Slashing right through the metal, splitting the car in two. His other hand, now free of the buckler, quickly gripped one of the car pieces, and before he hit the ground he chucked it back with a strength he didn't possess before.

Pow!

The Substance was hit hard by the car, making it skid back a few feet. Adam continued charging towards the Substance.

The Substance quickly recovered, grabbing another car before it chucked it. Adam slid, going under the thrown car before continuing to run forward. Not even missing a beat. The buckler from before appeared again on his left arm.

The Substance quickly picked up another car, almost seeming to be in fear now. Adam was too close though to try and throw, so it instead brought it down, trying to slam Adam into the ground.

Wham!

Adam jumped right over the car as it slammed down in front of him. Flying over the right shoulder of the Substance. Just before he finished passing it though, he sliced his sword downwards, slicing off the right arm of the creature.

"Mmmrr!" The Substance shrieked as if in pain. It's looked down quickly at it's arm, but it laid limp on the ground. Refusing to connect back to it's host. The place where it's arm had been connected was burning white, as if it was on fire.

The Substance turned around, looking angry again. Adam wasn't behind it though. It looked around in confusion, trying to spot where he had went.

Slash!

Then Adam appeared from the side, slicing off the bottom part of it's right leg. The Substance tried to whack Adam away with it's other arm, only for Adam to block it with his buckler. With the Substance off-balance, he flew forward, slicing off it's other leg, making it fall down in front of him. Adam pulled his left arm back.

KaPow!

His buckler slammed the Substance in the middle of the blinking red light on it's chest. Knocking it back into the middle of the street. It's blinking red light was spider web cracked from the hit. It's arm and legs were still lying on the ground by Adam.

The view showed Adam calmly walking towards it. "Mm, mmmrrrr!" The Substance screeched again, sounding as if it was in fear. The parts of it where it had been sliced off were glowing a pure white, and refused to go down into the ground. It couldn't escape what was coming.

Adam's buckler disappeared, his left hand now glowing with pure white fire like his sword. Adam stopped in front of it, his flaming sword ablaze next to him. His face was now calm, no anger to be seen.

"Let your master know, that he won't be getting his hands on this universe while I'm around." He said, as he raised his sword up high.

"Mmrrr! Mmrrr!" The Substance shrieked again. Adam smirked, and gave it a wink.

"I know I'm not technically allowed to intervene here. I won't be interfering like this again anyways. But if I were your master, I'd be more worried about this human when he learns to truly harness the gifts he has than about me." Adam, yet not Adam spoke.

Then he brought his sword down.

Then he sliced upwards.

Then to the side.

Then to the other side.

Finally he gripped the CPU cube with his fiery hand. Burning the edges all around.

All in rapid succession.

The Substance stood in it's place for only a moment more, it's cracked red light blinking once in Adam's hand. Then it's body fell away, smoldering down into dust. It's arms and leg on the sidewalk also disappeared with the evening wind. The CPU that controlled the dreaded Substance went dead in Adam's hand, which lost it's fire.

Adam turned to face the team, his face calm again. The Titans stared at him, saying nothing. In the light of the evening son, the teenager's armor glowed brighter than any star. Adam raised his sword to them. Almost as if in a salute.

Then Adam was enveloped in a bright white flash of light, making the Titans bring their hands to cover their eyes. The view went bright white for a moment, blotting everything out.

The view showed the Titans slowly lowering their hands. Staring at the place where Adam had been before.

The view showed Adam in his civilian dress laying down on the ground. Unconscious to the world around him.

The view moved up above, showing the Titans gather around him in a circle.

The view showed the lit up T-Tower from the front right side. The city in the background, along with a starry night sky up above...

The view moved inside to the Common Room, where all the heroes were situated. All of them were standing in front of the couch, where Adam was sitting, facing them.

"Why are you here in Jump City?" Robin asked, sounding like he was interrogating Adam.

"You'd know better than me." Adam replied.

Robin didn't hesitate. "Why? We only just met you today." Robin continued in his authorative tone.

"Yeah, and most of my memory barely starts with today." Adam responded back.

"What about what we saw out there? Did you somehow forget that you could do all that too? You took down a creature we've been hunting down for months in a minute. Maybe two." Robin said. The other Titans behind him looked expectantly down at Adam for some explanation.

Adam tried to sink back into the couch, feeling uncomfortable with the amount of attention he was getting. "No... if you hadn't show me the video of it, I wouldn't have believed I did that." Adam said quietly.

Robin finally remained silent. Adam took it as his cue to speak. "Look, I seriously can't remember much about myself. I can't tell you where I came from. Where I went to school. If I had any family or friends before. Heck, I can't even remember when my birthday is. All I can really remember outside of my name is..." He looked to focus really hard, and growled in frustration. "It's like trying to grab fish out of water. I know there's something there, but... I just can't get it for some reason." Adam said, sounding sad at the end. "I just feel so lost."

"If you were the lost, then why did you do the running away from us earlier in the day?" Starfire asked this time.

Adam looked up again. "When I saw you guys, it was like something else... I don't know, sparked in my mind. It was like I managed to grab onto a fish for a few seconds, and ... I recognized you somehow. It didn't feel natural though-" He was saying as he stretched out his hand.

Then a sword appeared in his hand, catching him and the Titans offguard. It was a plain bronze colored sword now, no longer on fire. Adam still dropped it on the ground in surprise. Before he or the others could examine it further, it disappeared back into thin air.

Adam put his head in his hands. "What's wrong with me." He muttered.

Ruuurgh!

Adam turned a little red at the growl that came from within him. "Other than that."

After a moment of staring at each other, Cyborg grinned and clapped his hands together. "You know what, it sounds like its been a long day for all of us. So how about we celebrate the ending of having to hunt down that Substance together with my grandma's famous Texan barbeque ribs!" Cyborg yelled ecstatically, before running towards the kitchen.

"Hey, I won't be eating no dead animals from you!" Beast Boy said, also running towards the kitchen after Cyborg to make a more vegan celebration.

Raven shrugged. "It'll be nice to finally get to sleep through the night again." She admitted, before hovering over towards the kitchen to make her herbal tea.

With the three Titans going away, Adam looked relieved, yet puzzled. "You don't have to do that. I could just-" Adam tried to say.

"Why not, are you not the friend of us now?" Starfire interrupted curiously.

Adam looked surprised at Starfire's comment. "I just, um, don't want to be a burden is all." Adam said.

Robin nodded, before he finally smiled. "Then how about we give you this." He said, pulling a circular object from his pocket and handing it to Adam. The view up above showed it was a brand new T-Communicator.

Adam looked down at it in surprise, then up at Robin. "By the looks of it, you have special powers, and a special personality. I think if you're trained right, you could do a lot of good with us." Robin said, before he offered out his hand. "The choice is yours though, would you like to become a member of the Teen Titans?" He asked.

Adam looked down at the communicator again, then turned to look at the kitchen. The Titans had stopped in their various activities, their eyes on him. Adam gulped, looking back to Robin.

"Don't worry, I'll still train you just as hard as the others." Robin said, a smirk appearing on his face. "We could always use another Titan though... and a friend." Robin said, his smirk changing to a smile.

Adam looked down at his hand, then back up to Robin. Almost as if he was thinking on it. Then he pocketed the Communicator, and shook Robin's hand, a smile finally appearing on his face. "Okay, I'll stay then... friend."

Starfire clapped her hands in joy behind them. "Yay, we have the new friend Adam with us now!" She said excitedly, before she moved Robin out of the way and gave Adam one of her patented bone crushing hugs.

Adam's eyes went wide from the pain of the surprise hug.

After a couple seconds, Starfire let go and zoomed towards the kitchen. "I now have to make the pudding of friendship to honor the joining of friend Adam!" She said excitedly, moving to grab all the ingredients for it while Cyborg and Beast Boy continued to cook happily. Raven nodded and calmly continued reading a book next to her tea kettle.

Adam looked back to Robin curiously. "Pudding of friendship?" He asked.

"Let's just say the others term it as the initiation into the Teen Titans." Robin said, before he smirked again. "If you can live through eating it, you could survive against anyone or anything you'll face as a Titan." He finished.

Adam shrugged, and laughed it off as if he didn't buy it. "Oh c'mon, just how bad could it be?" He asked.

"Friend Cyborg, have you seen where the Earthly vinegar, the sour pickles, and the tentacle of squid went?" Starfire asked at that moment.

"Remember, we put them down in the basement Star." Cyborg said.

"Oh yes, right next to the hearts of the Guzlingwis!" She said excitedly, before flying out of the room.

Adam turned a little pale. "Hearts of Gulinwhat?" He asked fearfully.

Robin patted him on the shoulder. "Welcome to the Teen Titans, Adam. I'll expect you to be healthy for training in... maybe a few weeks to a month." Robin said.

Adam sat on the couch again. Not saying anything more.

"Here's to the end of the midnight hunting parties!" Cyborg yelled happily.

The view zoomed out to show the Tower and the night sky.

"Get that flesh away from my veggies!" Beast Boy yelled angrily.

Crash...

"Um, sorry about your tea kettle Rae?" Beast Boy said nervously.

"You have five seconds to run." Raven's calm voice said.
