The scene showed the Tower amidst a stormy night…

Crack! Boom!

Lightning boomed in the clouds up above. Rain pounded on the swells of the bay, and against the dark outline of the Dark Tower.

The scene shifted, showing an empty dark hallway of the Tower.

Boom!

Lightning lit up the hallway. No one was in sight.

After a couple of seconds, the scene changed again. Showing one of the dark training rooms of the Tower.

Boom!

Lightning lit the room. Again, no one was seen.

After a couple more seconds, the scene changed. Showing the dark Common Room from a ceiling view. It was mostly dark, besides a square of light at the mission control console.

The view zoomed in.

Click. Click. Typity typity typity…

Dark gloved hands moved over the keyboard of the main terminal. The view expanded out, showing a dark silhouette. His face was covered in darkness. His light blue eyes focused on the screen in front of him.

Crack!

Lightning flared in front of the window, showing blonde hair. A dark orange uniform with red stripes along the sides that ran up to a mask covering most of his face. Under the mask, he had a young, yet mature looking face. All shown in the space of a half second. Then he was encased in black once more. The boom of the lightning bolt came

"Come on, where is she..." The figure mumbled to himself frustratingly.

Click.

A picture suddenly showed on the screen of the terminal. The figure stopped typing away. "So she was here..." He said. Staring at the screen.

"Freeze!"

The figure turned his head. The view showed Robin and the other Titans standing in front of the doorway.

"Don't move!" Robin ordered.

The figure abandoned the terminal and ran for the window.

Crash!

The window burst outwards, and the figure dropped from the scene. After a couple of seconds, Robin, Raven, Beast Boy, and Starfire appeared looking out through the destroyed window.

The view showed the dark stormy bay down below. With the figure flying out towards the city on what looked to be a large irregularly shaped object. Lightning flashed across the sky, lighting up the bay and the figure on a massive rock for a second. And then the figure disappeared into blackness.

The Titans stared in surprise.

"What?" Beast Boy said in an astonished tone.

"Friends, was that-" Starfire started to ask.

The view moved to show Cyborg at the main computer terminal. Adam was looking over his shoulder.

"Guys, I think you better come look at this," Cyborg said.

The Titans moved from the window to the center of the room. Cyborg pressed a few buttons, and the picture that was still on the screen showed up above in the larger TV screen.

"Who is that?" Adam asked.

Beast Boy looked like he had seen a ghost. Bits of red were leaking into Raven's eyes. Robin frowned at the blonde haired figure shown in the picture. As did the other Titans.

"Terra," Robin muttered.

The scene switched to show a nice, sunny looking beach. The view moved slowly to the left, showing kids running around, playing with each other in the water, building sandcastles, and various other things. The adults were sitting back in chairs, lying on blankets, talking to each other, etc.

'36 hours earlier', appeared on the top of the view in big white bold letters.

The view finally showed Robin and the other Titans stopping in the middle of the beach. Robin still had his utility belt around his waist, but he was in a red shirt, black shorts, and sandals. Starfire was in a modest pink bikini. Beast Boy still had his uniform on. Raven was also still in her uniform. Adam was wearing a white t-shirt and green shorts. And Cyborg… still looked like Cyborg.

"Alright team, now if you see some water creature attack from the ocean, we'll go to-" Robin was saying.

Beast Boy groaned. "Dude, you've been going through the different scenarios we could face all the way here. Can't you just chill and relax for once?" He asked.

Robin frowned. "I'm just trying to make sure we all know what to do in case of trouble." Robin tried to defend himself.

"Robin," Starfire said. Robin looked at her. "Stop the talking and come do the fun with me," Starfire ordered with a smile.

Robin stared for a moment, then shook his head and smiled. "Alright Star." He said obediently as he walked off hand in hand with Starfire from the view.

"Alright!" Cyborg said happily. He pulled out a box from behind him, and set it on the sand. "You all go and have some fun now. I'm going to make some lunch!" He said as he pressed the button on top.

The box unfolded on itself and expanded out gradually.

Whoomp!

Soon, Cyborg had a big whopping grill with ice chest attachment right in front of him. A stack of burgers and hot dogs appeared on the side, ready for cooking. He sniffed it, and an anime chibi version of him fell on his knees from happiness. "Now nothing says a good day at the beach like a mound of fresh, well-done Angus beef," Cyborg said dreamily.

He turned back into his normal self, and an apron with the words 'kiss the cook' appeared from nowhere around his waist. He whistled happily as he got started on cooking.

The scene showed the ocean line. Beast Boy and Adam ran towards it.

"Woohoo!" Adam yelled.

"Cannonball!" Beast Boy yelled as both he and Adam jumped side by side into the ocean.

Sploosh! Sploosh!

The view showed from the backs as they disappeared into the water with two large splashes. A few seconds later both of them reappeared, jumping back out of the water. They were shown in chibi form, their skin blue.

"H-Holy f-f-fetch!" Adam yelled.

"C-C-C-Cold!" Beast Boy yelled.

Their two anime forms jumped off the water back onto the hot sandy beach. Their forms shivered for a couple of seconds as they each regained their normal skin colors.

"On second thought, how about we just build a sand castle," Adam suggested.

"I'm with you on that dude." Beast Boy agreed. A pale and shovel appeared in their hands. The two got to work.

The scene moved to Raven, who was sitting down on a purple blanket. She had a book in her hands...

The view zoomed in on her face. Her purple eyes, though glancing down at the book every now and then, were looking above the book at something in front of her.

The view shifted to her perspective, showing Beast Boy at work on the sand castle. Some weird, background music entered in. Beast Boy brought a hand to his face, wiping away some of the water from the ocean off of it. Extra emphasis was placed on the water droplets still falling off him as he shook the hair of his head in slow motion.

"Oh yeah..." An Elvis voice sounded in the background.

"Hey, Rae."

Kccchhh!

The background music cut off like a record player screeching to a halt.

Raven calmly look up to Cyborg, who was nearby at his grill. "You staring at something or what?" Cyborg asked.

Raven looked back down to her book. "I have no idea what you're talking about," Raven said dryly.

Cyborg put a hand to his chin in thought. "Well, I ask because you've been on the same page there for the last ten minutes. So..." He said, sounding mischievous.

"Drop it, Cyborg," She said dryly, moving her book up more to her face.

Cyborg chuckled to himself. "Whatever Rae, it's not as if no one else will notice you staring away at the green bean," Cyborg said.

A little red came onto her face, and a plastic shovel nearby was covered in black and buried into the sand. But Raven didn't dare look back up from her book... Other than for the occasional glance up ahead.

Cyborg laughed to himself.

"Hey! Think this is good Adam?!" Beast Boy yelled from his part of the 20 ft. wall around the majestic looking sand castle. The view showed Adam appear at the top of one of the corner turrets on the inside Palisades.

"No, I don't think the spire is pointed enough yet," Adam said before he glided from the turret he was on to the middle with the pale in hand.

Ting.

He lightly touched down on the dome.

Phoom!

The large sand castle with walls and cannon attachments burst in on itself, covering the area in a mound of sand which Adam and Beast Boy disappeared into. After a moment, both of their heads came out of the ground. They spat out sand.

"Nice." Beast Boy said.

"Hey, you were the one that made that area, not me," Adam replied.

The two proceeded to start to blame one another for whose fault it was that their impressive sand castle hadn't stayed standing.

The view showed Robin and Starfire at a sand volleyball court. Robin was on one side, and Starfire was on the other.

Pow!

Robin jumped and spiked the volleyball down on her side. He smirked at her.

"I'm winning Star!" He said.

Starfire rolled her eyes. "Only because I'm the letting you." She said.

"Yeah right. You couldn't catch up now if you tried-" Robin was teasing.

Pow! Wham!

The ball sailed like a comet over the net and beaned Robin in the face. He fell back onto the ground. Little Batmans danced anime style around his head.

"Uhhhh..."

Starfire appeared over him. "Boyfriend Robin! Are you the okay?!" Starfire asked worriedly.

Robin stared up at his girlfriend dressed in only a pink bikini. He smiled lazily up at her. "Oh yes, everything is fine now Doctor Star. Everything's..." Robin's head fell back onto the sand. A blissful smile was still on his face.

"Oh, friend Cyborg!" Starfire yelled as she helped Robin up. "We are in need of the icepack again!" She yelled.

"Just a moment!" Cyborg yelled back as he opened up the ice chest next to the grill. He pulled out a small bag filled with ice. 'For hair gel smelling leader' was already written on the bag. A smirk came onto his face. "I knew this would come in handy," Cyborg said before he ran over to Starfire with it.

The view showed Raven again. She had her book closed, and held it in her hands.

Beast Boy sat down on the sand next to the blanket she was on. He still had clumps of sand all over his uniform. "Dang, too bad that sand castle didn't hold. It would have been the coolest thing on the beach." He laid back on the sand. "Other than me of course." Beast Boy finished jokingly.

Raven breathed out steadily, and then set the book down. She looked over to Beast Boy, who had his eyes closed.

"Beast Boy?" Raven asked questioningly.

Beast Boy opened one of his eyes. "Yeah, Rae." He said back. He was already expecting a retort from her about personal space and everything since he was lying back on her beach blanket.

Raven looked towards the bay. Her normally calm face held traces of nervousness. Beast Boy sat up, looking intently at her. "What? Is something wrong Rae?" He asked.

Raven looked back to him. "No… at least not yet," Raven said calmly.

"Wait, why? Was it because of what I said?" Beast Boy asked confusedly.

Raven groaned to herself. "No Beast Boy. It's… Well…" She sighed again. "A new bookstore opened up in the city last week. And I've been wanting to go there." Raven said dryly.

Beast Boy scratched his head in confusion. "Okay... that doesn't seem like much of a problem." Beast Boy said.

Raven breathed deeply again. "Well, the problem is, I wanted to invite someone to come with me. Only I don't think he likes books all that much. And he probably wouldn't want to spend the day with someone like me-" Raven was trying to explain.

"Aughhhh!" Someone screamed further down the beach.

The view showed the Titans look up from their various areas. Robin, Starfire, and Cyborg were between the grill and volleyball court. Adam had made a small simple sand castle.

The scene moved to show the people farther down the beach running away from large metal hoses that had burst from the ground. They moved around, almost at random.

"Mommy!" A little girl and boy yelled at the same time as they tried to run. The boy tripped to the ground, and the girl tried to help him up.

Phoooooom!

"Noooo!" The two kids yelled as one of the tubes sucked them both in.

Finally, the sand in the middle of it all burst out.

ThumpThump! ThumpThump!

A large, red beating heart towered over the sand. The two kids became visible in its top red shell. Both of them looked to be screaming in fear, but either the membrane around them or the sounds of the vacuum tubes drowned out their voices. The vacuum tubes on its sides continued to flail around, looking for other victims to suck in.

"Cardiac!" Cyborg yelled. He ripped off his apron, and his sonic cannon extended from his arm.

Starfire quickly disappeared, before reappearing in her uniform. Which… only looked a little more modest than the bikini had.

"Hold that thought Rae," Beast Boy said quickly. He morphed into an eagle and flew up into the sky.

Raven, who had become open-mouthed in surprise at Cardiac ruining what she had been attempting to do, had to force a look of calm to hide her anger and frustration. "Later. I'll just do it later." She gritted out.

Adam looked down at his sand castle, shrugged, and ran through it to join the other Titans. A sword appearing in his hands as he did so.

"Titans, go!" Robin ordered the charging Titans.

The scene faded to black.

'Geo-Force' appeared at the bottom of the view in big white letters. After a few seconds, both sets of letters faded away.

Vrrrrrr!

The view moved back to Cardiac again. A woman was running with one of her kids in her arms. A vacuum tube was chasing after them, attempting to suck up the both of them.

"Ah!" The lady screamed as she tripped onto the sand. She looked back up in fear at an approaching tube. "Aughh-" She started to scream.

Swoop!

Suddenly, a large green eagle picked her up off the ground. Swooping her away from the tube just before it could suck her up. The eagle flew for a little bit, and then set her and the kid far from Cardiac's reach.

"Th-thank you." The woman said gratefully to the green eagle before running off with her kid safe in her arms.

Ksch!

Cardiac was hit in the side by a blue sonic cannon.

"Yo, why are you here ruining my beach day!" Cyborg yelled angrily. He fired again, hitting one of the other tubes connected to Cardiac's body. "I swear if this ruins the Angus beef I have grilling right now, then so help me-"

"Careful Cyborg, there's the two kids trapped in there," Robin said as he ran by. His Bo-Staff extended in his hands.

Whump!

A large metal vacuum tube landed in front of him. Threatening to suck him in.

Ksch! Ksch!

Two green starbolts hit the tubing, blowing it off of Cardiac. Robin continued to run forward, jumping onto the tubing and then jumping from there for Cardiac's beating heart. Twirling his staff overhead in preparation for a strike.

Whack!

One of the other vacuum tubes slammed Robin in the side, launching him out into the ocean.

Splash!

Robin disappeared into the ocean water. Starfire, who had been preparing to divebomb it again, immediately dove towards the ocean instead.

The useless metal tube on the ground encased itself in electricity and then moved up into the air. It reconnected to Cardiac, who turned to face Cyborg.

Whack!

A large, green elephant plowed into its side, knocking it off balance. Cardiac fell down onto the sand, laying on its side. The green elephant morphed into a hummingbird, quickly flying out of reach of Cardiac's flailing tubes.

The two kids inside screamed in fear. Cardiac slowly started to get back up. While it was still in the middle of doing that though, a dark portal opened up above it, and a figure dropped onto Cardiac's red membrane.

Slash!

Adam slashed through the top membrane with his sword, opening it up. He quickly put his arm inside. "Quick! Grab my arm!" He ordered.

The girl and boy obediently grabbed his arm, and Adam pulled them back up out of the monster. The membrane sealed itself beneath them just a second after he'd managed to pull them both out. "Now, hang on tight!" Adam yelled at them as he jumped. The two kids hung on to his arms tightly as he glided away from Cardiac towards Cyborg and Raven.

Vrrrrrr!

A vacuum tube appeared in the view behind him. Sucking him and the kids back in the air towards Cardiac. Adam's face took on a nervous look.

"Um, a little help!" Adam yelled.

ThumpThump! ThumpThump!

The beating of Cardiac's heart got louder and louder behind him.

The view showed Raven float up into the air behind Cyborg. Preparing to open another portal between Adam and the suction tube. "Azarath, Metrion-" She started to chant.

VrrrKchhhh!

The vacuum noise was suddenly cut off by a harsh filling sound. Adam fell forward through the air, almost as if he had been launched from a sling. He somehow managed to turn his body mid-air and fell back first onto the sand. Groaning as he cushioned the two rescued kids on top of him.

Once he stopped, the two kids jumped up and ran off to their grateful parents who were close by.

"What the fetch just happened there?" Adam asked as he tried to sit up.

He didn't get an answer. The other Titans were instead staring in surprise at Cardiac who was backing away from the stream of sand coming out of the ground and forcing its way into the vacuum tube.

ThumpThump!

Boom!

Then the ground burst beneath Cardiac. Encasing the giant machine in a whirlwind of sand.

ThumpThump! ThumpThump!

Cardiac's beating got faster in the middle of the whirlwind. It's other vacuum tube appendages flailed around in confusion and maybe fear at what was happening.

Starfire appeared with a dripping wet Robin. Beast Boy came up alongside Adam and helped him up. Cyborg and Raven appeared in the back. All of them looked surprised and confused at the scene.

ThumpThump! ThumpTh-!

The sand solidified, becoming hard solid rock. Cardiac's appendages stopped flailing around and fell slack on the sides of its rocky prison. Cardiac's heartbeat stopped sounding loudly too.

There was a strange silence in the air after Cardiac's heart stopped beating…

"Dude, where did you learn to do that?" Beast Boy asked looking back to Raven.

"That, wasn't me," Raven said back, a hint of surprise in her normally dry tone.

The Titans looked around themselves. The scene now showed an empty beach. There were many items strewn around that had been left behind by everyone quickly leaving. The parking lot was empty, besides the T-Car. The only thing untouched was Cyborg's grill... which the burgers cooking on it looked to be on fire because of how long the fight had taken.

The Titans looked at each other.

"So… what now?" Adam asked.

Robin pulled out his T-Comm. "Go find a place to get food before heading to the Tower. I'll stay here to handle this," Robin said, looking towards Cardiac's entombed prison.

The Titans all shrugged and started walking away. Cyborg walked over to his grill, looking down at the sight of his Angus beef patties having burnt to a crisp.

"Man, am I ever going to have an uninterrupted lunch?" He asked mournfully.
