The sun took on an evening hew in the sky. The scene lowered, showing the T-Tower in the middle of the bay.
The scene moved, showing Cyborg sitting back on the couch. His head hanging back.
"Man, I'm still bummed I didn't get to eat any of those juicy hamburgers." Cyborg groaned.
The view moved right to show Beast Boy, who held his head in his hands. "Dude, that's not a bummer. That's a freaking miracle." Beast Boy said.
Cyborg mildly glared at Beast Boy. "I'd be saying the same thing if it had been some of your tofu crap you were making on my grill," Cyborg said lowly. Now wishing he'd taken the changeling up on his offer of having him cook his tofu first before he cooked his burgers.
The view moved to Starfire, who was floating in front of the window. "I still don't get it. Who was it that did the taking down of Cardiac if it wasn't you friend Raven?" She asked Raven, who was floating cross-legged next to her.
"I don't know Starfire. Right now, I'm just trying to focus my mind after what happened today." Raven said dryly, sounding just a little annoyed.
Starfire floated away. Raven let out a quiet sigh of relief. "Oh yeah, weren't you saying something about a book store earlier Rae-" Beast Boy started to ask.
"It was nothing." Raven sharply cut him off, turning to face him with four red eyes.
Beast Boy backed away hesitantly, not wanting to provoke the half-demoness any further at that moment.
"So, any ideas as to what happened?" Adam asked on his part of the couch.
Beast Boy immediately reappeared, throwing up a chalk blackboard in front of him. "I thought of several things!" He said, showing bad chalk drawings on a blackboard.
"The first involves invisible space alien dudes from the planet Knorb!" Beast Boy said pointing to the far left one.
"Do they have to be dudes?" Cyborg sarcastically questioned on the couch.
"Dudes, dudettes, it doesn't matter. So anyways." Beast Boy continued on. The view showed from Cyborg's perspective.
"And so…" Beep, Beep, Beepity Beep Beep, Beeeeeeeee…
Cyborg yawned to himself, a bored look on his face. Beast Boy continued having beeping sounds come out of his mouth as he moved from drawing to drawing. The last one being shown was of all of them bowing to a stick figure representation of the leader of these aliens.
"And that's what happened!" Beast Boy said with a smile.
The view showed Adam, Cyborg, and Robin sitting next to each other. Bored looks were on Robin and Cyborg's faces. Adam was dead asleep.
"Snaghhh-" Cyborg poked Adam in the side, startling him awake mid snore. "Sorry, I think I lost a few brain cells watching that," Adam said groggily.
Cyborg burst into laughter, and Robin grinned widely. Beast Boy, however, pouted at Adam's comment. "Dude!" He said indignantly. "It could totally be because of that!"
"No way. It's just too far out there conspiracy-wise." Adam said back, sounding much more awake.
"Well, why don't you come up with a better idea then Adam!" Beast Boy said back.
Wham!
Adam instantly got up, knocking Beast Boy out of view from the board. He grabbed the chalk and eraser and instantly got to work. An anime cloud appeared over it as he quickly scrambled around the board.
After a few seconds, the cloud dispersed. Adam was smiling widely in front of the board, with it facing the other way. "Ladies and gentlemen. May I present..." Adam said, pausing for suspense.
Cyborg and Robin looked a little more excited on the couch. Starfire floated over curiously. Beast Boy watched grumpily from the side. Raven stayed in her meditation pose.
Adam flipped the board over, showing drawings of them on a beach. Question marks were all over Cardiac's entombed area.
"The 'I don't know what the fetch happened' theory!" Adam said.
Cyborg and Robin fell back onto the couch with simultaneous groans. Raven stayed in her meditation stance. And Adam started to laugh to himself at the first two's reactions.
Suddenly, Beast Boy got in front of the board, rubbing his chin as he examined the drawing. "That actually sounds a little more plausible than invisible space aliens." He admitted as he looked at it from different angles.
Adam stopped laughing and facepalmed. "Dude. I was making a joke." Adam said.
Starfire appeared next to Beast Boy. "No, you might be the on to something friend Adam." She said, also examining it from different angle along with Beast Boy.
An 'are you fetching with me' look came over Adam's face.
Beep! Beep! Beep!
Suddenly, the klaxons on the walls went off. Cyborg got off the couch. "Yes! Somebody's getting mugged!" Cyborg yelled happily.
Robin moved to the central computer, pushing the board out of the view as he did so. He clicked around and moved the map of the city up to the TV screen.
"Not just someone. But one of the biggest banks in town." Robin said. The Titans appeared behind him. Cyborg grinned widely as he saw what enemy they were going to face.
"Well let's go deal with them, man!" Cyborg yelled excitedly.
The scene showed the front of the bank. The street out front was void of people.
Krrrccchhh!
The T-Car came to a screeching stop in front of the doors.
The side doors facing the bank opened, and the Titans ran out towards the doors. "Remember, I'll take Kyd Wckked with Raven. Starfire will keep Billy Numerous distracted. Cyborg will handle Gizmo. Adam will fight SeeMore, and Beast Boy will take down Mammoth. If any of us knock out our target, we'll help the Titan closest to us with theirs."
"Got it!" All the Titans replied.
The view showed the inside of the doors.
Bam!
They crashed open, and the Titans charged in yelling. "Titan's…" They ran a few paces as their leader was shouting his signature phrase… but then they stopped.
"Help us!"
"Someone!"
"Anyone!"
The view showed the various members of the H.I.V.E. Five in the bank.
Gizmo had a pouty childish look on his face, as he was trapped in a rock cage hanging from the ceiling. His backpack was destroyed on the ground below him. He was muttering under his breath.
Mammoth's body minus his head was entombed in earth. He struggled to so much as move his pinkies inside his earth prison. "I'm getting thirsty." He muttered angrily.
Kyd Wycked was knocked out on the desk. A pair of handcuffs held his hands behind him. Along with earth that kept his legs in place.
SeeMore was in a rocky cage on the ground. He had a thing of earth over his large eye. He just sat there despondently without saying anything.
Several Billies were trapped up to their necks in Earth. They were the ones yelling.
"Somebody!"
"Please!"
"Save us!"
"We can't let our barbeque back home go to waste!"
"Yeah!"
"What Billy said!"
"Will you just shut up already snotmouth!" Gizmo yelled from the ceiling.
"You're hurting my ears," Mammoth growled lowly on the ground.
"I can't see anything! All I can use is my ears!" SeeMore yelled indignantly.
"You can stuff a sock in it to you useless snotrag!" Gizmo yelled at SeeMore.
"Hey now! It's not my fault we were blindsided by that awesome hero!" SeeMore continued to yell angrily up at his teammate.
"Awesome! He was a cheating snotmouth!"
The view showed the stunned Titans still standing in the doorway. "Yo, I'm not the only one seeing this, right?" Cyborg asked.
"No, I don't think you are," Robin said lowly.
Beep! Beep!
Robin pulled out his T-Comm. He opened it, showing a blinking red dot further downtown.
"Someone else is causing trouble downtown," Robin said. He turned around.
"Wait, what about them dude?" Beast Boy asked pointing to the bickering team of villains.
Robin gave a small shrug. "They're already taken care of. The cops will be here eventually to send them to prison." Robin said curtly.
The Titans looked at each other, shrugged, and then walked out. Leaving the H.I.V.E. Five in the bank.
The view showed the Titans in the T-Car. Cyborg was driving, with the view blazing by. Robin stared down at his T-Comm, not looking away as the red dot appeared closer and closer on it.
The four Titans sat squished together in the back. Adam was on the left end, with Beast Boy next to him. Starfire took up the whole right side. Squeezing Raven close to her green teammate. She looked uncomfortable.
"Anyways, you were talking about someone and a bookstore earlier?" Beast Boy asked.
Raven's face visibly paled. "Again, it was nothing. Just drop it." Raven tried to calmly say while glaring lightly at Starfire. The Tamaranean smiled innocently at her as she scooted closer, forcing Raven to scoot uncomfortably closer to the green changeling. An anime storm cloud appeared over Raven's head, and lightning flashed from it as she glared angrily at the alien who knew exactly what she was doing.
Cyborg peered back in the rearview mirror. A massive smirk came onto his face. "Oh, sure it was nothing Rae," Cyborg said.
Raven gritted her teeth. Her storm cloud flashed lightning threateningly at Cyborg. "Yes, it was only that. Nothing." Raven said, sounding a little biting with her monotonous voice.
"Wait, do you know what Rae was asking about dude?" Beast Boy asked Cyborg.
Cyborg's smirk got bigger. "Oh I know man, but I won't say anything without her approval." He said, looking back to the road. Raven's four red eyes were boring into the back of his mind.
"You don't have my approval," Raven said, putting her hood back over her head.
"Oh, well I was only curious was all." Beast Boy said, looking down to his lap.
Raven looked at him, and her demeanor softened just a tad. "Sorry. It was really only a dumb idea I had earlier." Raven said, almost shyly, before looking back down at her lap.
Beast Boy looked to her in surprise. "Oh, okay then." He said, before looking back down at his lap.
"You know, I'm really starting to wonder how long they're going to beat around the bush about their feelings for each other," Adam said to Starfire.
"I agree friend Adam. I agree." Starfire replied sadly.
Both Beast Boy and Raven looked at the two Titans, their eyes wide with shock. Signature blushes were also traveling up their necks to fill their cheeks.
"There!" Robin pointed down the road.
Krrrrrr!
The car braked to a stop again, startling them all. "Yo!" Cyborg yelled in surprise. Just not at what Adam had said behind him.
In the middle of the road was a wrecked old looking car. Smoke was coming out of the hood. A large dude was on his knees next to it, balling his eyes out. In front of the car was a wall of earth about five feet tall.
"Ding Dong Daddy?" Cyborg questioned.
Adam cocked his head. "The fetch kind of villain name is that?" He asked.
The Titans got out of the car.
"Ohhhh, my baby. My poor, poor baby." The villain cried, his fat tears fell on the hood of his car as he bawled.
A gloved fist grabbed his collar, and Ding Dong Daddy gasped in surprise. Robin glared down at him. "What were you doing?!" Robin interrogated.
Ding Dong Daddy paled. "I was having a race here in the city. I was only trying to have a fun ride with a couple of the others down in the hood when somebody stopped my car." He bawled in his heavy accent.
"Who, who stopped your car?!" Robin questioned.
Ding Dong Daddy just continued to bawl, unable to answer. Robin after a moment let him go, and he fell back onto the ground. Still bawling.
"Let's go. There's still the other racers we have to find." Robin said, before turning around.
The Titans didn't question. They turned and followed their leader back to the car.
The scene faded to darkness.
The scene showed the T-Tower again. The sun had gone down, and storm clouds filled the sky.
The scene moved to the garage. The T-Car was parked, and the Titans got out. They all looked tired.
"Seriously, what the heck is going on?" Cyborg asked.
"We went to all of the villain alerts. Only to find every villain had already been the dealt with." Starfire said next to him.
"Man, I hate being in a car all day," Adam said tiredly. He moved his head to the side and cracked his neck back into place.
"Same dude." Beast Boy mumbled tiredly.
Robin had a frown on his face. Starfire yawned next to him. "I'm the tired, boyfriend Robin."
Robin looked back to her, his frown softened a little bit. He let out a sigh. "Okay, we'll deal with all that happened today tomorrow. For now, let's try to get some rest." Robin said.
Crack! Boom!
A loud lightning crack sounded. Beast Boy eeped in fright.
Chchchchch!
The sound of heavy rain hit the ground outside. Raven looked bored with her hood up. "Sounds like a good night to rest," Raven said sarcastically.
Beast Boy groaned as if in pain. "Why did it have to be lightning?" He asked in comical anguish.
The scene moved up through the roof. Showing the storming sky…
Crack! Boom!
Lightning boomed in the clouds up above. Rain pounded on the swells of the bay, and against the dark outline of the Dark Tower.
The scene changed, showing an empty dark hallway of the Tower.
Boom!
Lightning lit up the hallway. No one was in sight.
After a couple of seconds, the scene changed again. Showing one of the dark training rooms of the Tower.
Boom!
Lightning lit the room. Again, no one was in sight.
After a couple more seconds, the scene changed. Showing the dark Common Room from a ceiling view. Most of it was dark, besides a square of light near the front.
The view zoomed in.
Click. Click. Typity typity typity…
The dark clothed figure typed away at the screen. It showed up close as he looked through different files that the Titan's database held.
Crack!
Lightning flared in front of the window, briefly illuminating the figure and the big GF sewn into the chest of his uniform. "Come on, where is she..." The figure mumbled to himself frustratingly.
Click.
A picture suddenly showed on the screen of the terminal. The figure stopped typing away. The picture was of all the Titans posing in front of the Tower. Robin was being noogied by Cyborg in the back. Starfire was floating in the air, smiling widely while waving at the camera. Raven looked disinterested to the side, and in the center was Beast Boy with a happy grin on his face. His left arm hanging over the thin shoulders of a girl with blonde hair and blue eyes.
"So she really was here..." He said. Staring at the screen.
"Freeze!"
The figure gasped, then turned his head. The view showed Robin and the other Titans standing in front of the doorway.
"Don't move!" Robin ordered.
The figure jumped from the terminal and ran to the windows. "Wait, stop!" Robin yelled as he and the other Titans rushed forward.
Crash!
The window burst outwards, and the figure dropped from the view. After a couple of seconds, Robin, Raven, Beast Boy, and Starfire appeared in the view.
The view showed the dark stormy bay down below. With the figure flying out towards the city on what looked to be a large irregularly shaped object. Lightning flashed across the sky, lighting up the bay and the figure on a massive rock for a second. And then the figure disappeared into blackness.
The Titans stared in surprise.
"What?" Beast Boy said astonishedly.
"Friends, was that-" Starfire started to ask.
The view showed Cyborg at the main computer terminal. Adam was looking over his shoulder.
"Guys, I think you better come look at this," Cyborg said.
The Titans moved from the window to the center of the room. Cyborg pressed a few buttons, and the picture that was still on the screen showed up above in the larger TV screen.
"Who is that?" Adam asked, pointing to the girl in it.
Beast Boy looked like he was seeing a ghost. Raven's face blanched in horror. Robin frowned at the blonde-haired figure being shown. As did the other Titans.
"Terra," Robin muttered.
The scene faded to black.
The scene showed the Common Room. The window had been fixed. The Titans were all gathered at the glass table.
"So wait, you're saying that was the Terra you told me about who used to be a Titan!?" Adam asked.
Raven nodded her head. "Yes, that is, until she betrayed us." She said dryly.
Beast Boy didn't say anything. He only huddled down a little in his chair, his eyes glaring down at his feet.
"So do you think there's a chance that the figure we saw last night-" Adam started to ask.
"Nope. I already checked the cameras. Whoever it was is too big and stocky to have been her." Cyborg said.
"But, but it looked like whoever it was was also a geomancer," Adam replied back in an argumentative tone.
Cyborg nodded his head. "Not saying you're in the wrong man. I'm just saying that whoever this was wasn't Terra." He said.
Robin stared down at the table. "Why was he looking up Terra in our databanks though? It's been years since… she was alive." Robin said.
Beast Boy still stared down at the table. Not saying anything.
"Maybe it was a friend of Terra?" Starfire suggested.
"Or someone looking to fill her place," Raven said dryly.
"Maybe it's a relative with the same powers that we don't know about," Adam suggested.
The other Titans looked at him questioningly. "What? Aren't some powers genetic according to the family?" He asked.
Robin looked contemplative. "Actually, there is some truth in that..." He looked up at Beast Boy. "What do you think Beast Boy? Did Terra ever tell you about having any family?" He asked.
Beast Boy looked up at Robin. "I can't say, dude." He said dryly, before looking back down at the table.
Robin frowned. As did all the other Titans. "Not to pry or anything, but just how bad was his break up with this girl?" Adam bluntly asked Robin.
Bam!
Beast Boy slammed his fist into the table, forming cracks in the glass. "It wasn't a breakup! We never even got to that point before she, she…" He trailed off, forcing his face to recompose itself.
Adam looked shocked and silently scooted his chair away from the irate changeling. "That bad." He said to the others. All four Titans nodded in response.
The group became silent for a few seconds. No one daring to speak...
Beep! Beep! Beep!
The sirens on the walls blared red, catching Robin off guard. He looked over to the main terminal, which was beeping loudly.
"The trouble," Starfire said as she got up.
The view moved to show the main terminal. Robin appeared in front of it. His hands blazing over the keys.
"Yeah. And it looks like a major alert this time," Robin said.
The other Titans appeared behind him. The map of the city appeared on the TV screen up above. Beast Boy gasped to himself when it showed a large black L next to a familiar-looking building.
"Man, I don't recognize that symbol," Cyborg said.
Robin backed away in surprise. "Lobo… what the hell is he doing here in Jump?" He asked.
He quickly turned and ran. "Titans, let's move!" Robin ordered urgently while running for the doors.
The Titans didn't question. They ran off after their leader.
The scene showed a portion of the city. Things looked calm and peaceful…
The scene changed.
Boom!
A tall, nearly ten-foot gargantuan figure punched a large boulder, breaking it into many small pieces. He chuckled heartlessly.
"You think your puny rocks can harm Lobo?!" He said to the figure in front of him. "Lobo is strong. Human is weak."
The view showed the blonde hero get into a defensive stance. He was dressed in a dark orange uniform, rocky boots, and orange gloves. He moved his hands, and a dark orange hue covered them.
Whump!
A stone dome went over Lobo, encasing him. The figure cautiously moved forward, approaching the stone dome.
Boom! "Yahhhh!"
The stone in front burst outwards, and Lobo came charging towards the figure. The figure was stunned for just a second at the bounty hunter having broken his prison dome.
KaPOW!
The rusty blonde-haired figure was sent flying back by a massive punch. A jet stream appeared in his path as he traveled quickly through the air.
Crash!
He crashed through the side of a building. A cloud of dust covered the area.
Lobo grunted to himself, and then faced the school. "Now, time for Lobo to acquire the objective." He said. He ran for the entrance doors.
The view showed the T-Car pull in.
Crash!
The Titans quickly got out just as Lobo crashed through the doors into the school. Robin pointed to the school.
"Titans, after him!" Robin ordered.
Beast Boy morphed into a cheetah and took off first. Starfire sped right behind him. Raven was right behind him. Cyborg and Adam ran behind them.
Robin ran at the back, but not after the Titans. The Titans ran off into the school, not noticing their leader running towards the building where the dust was settling down.
Robin stopped in the middle of the street.
"*Cough!**Cough!*" The figure stumbled out of the dust. A hand over his mouth, covering his deep coughs.
"Just as I thought, there's only one other hero I know of who has the power to move Earth," Robin said as the dust settled around the figure.
"Hello, Geo-Force," Robin said.
Geo-Force looked up at the sound of Robin's voice and then straightened. "Robin. Long time no see," He said calmly.
The scene faded out…
