"Romeo, don't push yourself too hard." Feliciano frowned, looking at his older brother seated in front of the computer, pursing his lips. "I'm not pushing myself." he replied. Feliciano shook his head. "At least call us if you need anything, 'kay?" Romeo nodded in response and continued with his work.
Romeo Vargas was a fellow teacher at MicroNations Primary School. He taught the Year 6 class, which most of them were lovely people, except for troublemakers, Wendy, Peter, Erland and Leopold. In fact, he had to call in their parents for a chat about their children. He was currently writing up a report about the four, up to Leopold.
Lovino sat down next to his younger brother, watching over his shoulder. "What did you do to get such disruptive students?" he questioned. Romeo shrugged, continuing to type. Lovino shoved him off the seat. "Let me write it for you."
"What?" Romeo shook his head. "Do you even know them? At all?" Lovino rolled his eyes. "I don't need to. It's kinda obvious." Feliciano and Romeo exchanged glances and leaned in over his shoulder.
'Leopold is a horrible student, who does nothing but disrupt the class at every chance he gets. Due to these circumstances, we are considering him and his friends to be suspended, or even expelled.'
"Okay, what are you writing?" Romeo groaned disapprovingly. "None of that is necessarily true." He grabbed for the mouse and deleted the sentences. "Seriously."
Lovino made a grumbling sound with his throat. "What was wrong with that? It's probably very true anyway."
"Leopold isn't horrible, out of the four he's probably the least disruptive." Romeo shoved his elder brother off the seat and stared at the screen again. Feliciano cleared his throat. "Would you like us to make you some pasta while you work?" Romeo nodded in response, and his brothers walked out of the room together.
Feliciano and Lovino starting cooking some spaghetti in the pot and making the sauce. "I wish we could help Romeo, you know." Feliciano sighed. Lovino rolled his eyes. "I tried that just then." Feliciano kicked his brother lightly. "We don't even know the students, so we can't write up the report for him." They both fell silent for a bit longer.
"Hey, remember the guy he used to hang out with in highschool?" Lovino spoke up. Feliciano put the spaghetti in a bowl. "Which guy?" They poured the sauce on top and started searching for the cheese. "You know that Kirkland dude? The one that looked a little bit like Wendy in the photo? The... uh-" He sat up too quickly and bumped his head on the counter. "The guy he used to have a crush on!"
"Oh, him! Andrew Kirkland?" Feliciano clapped his hands. "What about him?"
The elder brother headed out of the door. "I've got an idea. I'm going to ask him something first before I consider it." He left the kitchen, leaving Feliciano to finish finding the cheese. He located it in the pantry and poured an avalanche of it onto the spaghetti. Picking it up, he brought it to Romeo, who was off the screen, indicating that he was done with the report.
"Here's you pasta!" He passed the bowl over to him. Romeo smiled and grabbed it, eating it. Lovino jumped off the couch and threw his hands in the air. "Guess what?! That Andrew dude is that brat Wendy's older brother!"
Feliciano resisted the temptation to roll his eyes. "Yeah, Romeo's already told that a couple years ago."
"He did?" Lovino scratched the back of his neck. "Oops, guess I wasn't listening then."
"We know." Feliciano and Romeo exchanged smirks. "It was obvious."
"Anyway, do you still have contact with him?"
Romeo glanced at the ceiling. "I still have his contacts... but we haven't really talked since the end of highschool... we kinda just went our own way because of our different dreams."
Lovino extended his hand. "Pass me your phone, I want to talk to him."
His younger brothers raised their eyebrows. "Sorry, you want to talk to him?" Feliciano repeated.
"Yes, that's what I said, idiot."
Romeo fumbled for his mobile and placed into Lovino's awaiting hands. They watched him waltz out of the living room and into their bedroom. Romeo turned to look at Feliciano. "Do you even know why he wants to call Andrew?" he asked confused. He shook his head. "First time I'm hearing about it."
They decided to stay where they were, if they were to listen onto their older brother's conversation and he found out, they'd probably be having their funeral in a week.
A few minutes later, he came back and handed the phone back. "What were you talking about?" Feliciano immediately questioned. Lovino stuck his tongue out. "Just asked about his bratty sister."
"Lovino!" Romeo gasped. He just glanced at the clock and shrugged. "Anyway, it's getting late. I'm going to bed."
"Wait, it's only eight thirty, though..." Feliciano protested. "That's early."
They watched him enter their bedroom and close the door. The two others finished eating their pasta before washing up and went to bed.
"Wendy, put that away."
Romeo glared at the student who was holding a cell phone and putting her feet on the desk. "Why?" she mumbled. "What are you going to do, expel me?"
"Yes, we could very well do that." he replied. "Now put it away."
"Ha, your loss, teach. I don't care if I get expelled." Wendy lifted her hand up and pulled a very rude gesture.
Romeo felt his eye twitch as most of the class gasped in shock. "Good one, Wendy!" Peter called out from the back, sitting next to Leopold.
Screwing up his face, he pointed out of the door. "Go see the principal for your rude behaviour."
"Yeah, yeah, whatever Mr. Predictable." Wendy stood up and walked slowly out of the classroom. He pinched his nose bridge and muttered something inaudible. He had to deal with the four of them for another six hours, he wasn't sure if he could handle it. It was only the first term too.
He opened his mouth to continue the lesson, when a rubber flew at him and hit him in the face. Erland made some sort of gurgling sound with his throat, trying not to laugh.
Romeo glared at the boy, but ignored him. Peter and Erland continued to disrupt the lesson, while Leopold would just start randomly talking aloud. The bell finally rang and he dismissed the class.
He headed to the staff office as the children ran off for recess. He sat down groaning next to the Year 5 teacher; Tino Oxenstierna. "Are those kids annoying you again?" he frowned, staring at the latter who was leaning in the chair. He nodded slowly. "Ahh, I'm so sick and tired of them... it's only been the fourth week of school... Hey Tino, who'd you deal with them last year?" The man frowned. "They weren't like that last year. They were good students."
Romeo groaned softly. "Well, of course. Everyone knows how scary you get." He shifted a bit more, slouching in his chair. "I don't know what to do with them..."
"You should make me their teacher, I'll handle them." Tino smirked. The atmosphere tensed and he just rolled his eyes. "I know you can. But I'm the Year 6 teacher. So it's my job to look after them, no matter how annoying they are."
Tino flopped, laying his head on the table. "Yeah, okay. That's true. But I can help still?"
"How?"
"I dunno..."
The staff door opened and Ivan Braginsky walked in. "Morning." he cheered and sat himself on the other side of Romeo.
"How is your class?" Tino questioned.
Ivan's face lit up and he threw his hands in the air. "They are so cute, all the kindergarteners are soooo adorable, it makes me want to squish their little cheeks!" He leaned his head on his palm. "So adorable."
Tino and Romeo exchanged smiles. When they'd first heard that Ivan was the Kindergarten teacher, they were shocked by the principal's decision, but when they saw him in action, they realised that he was probably the best one for the job.
Ivan started staring into space, taping his finger on the table.
"Oi Ivan, you should eat." Romeo pointed to the bag beside Ivan's chair. He just blinked. "What?" he murmured.
Tino just shrugged. "He'll eat when he's back on earth."
The two of them continued to eat their recess when the door opened yet again and the Year 1, 2, 3 and 4 teachers entered, chatting.
"Oh, hey!" Lili waved. "You're already here!"
Lili Zwingli taught the Year 2s, Elizabeta Hedervary taught the Year 3s, Michelle Laroche looked after the Year 1s and Gianna Bonnefoy taught the Year 4s.
"So, I heard you've already sent the girl to the principal's office?" Gianna stated.
Romeo groaned. "I didn't know what else I was meant to do... Wait, how did you know that?"
"She walked past our classroom window and stood there for five minutes, trying to annoy some of the kids inside."
He tried to sink through the floor. "I'm so embarrassed..." he muttered. "I don't know how any of you managed to deal with them..."
"It's because they're pre-teens." Ivan mumbled. "They're trying to discern who they are and who they want to be."
All the other adults in the room gaped at his wisdom.
"WHY didn't you decide to be a Year 6 teacher?!" Romeo gasped.
"Because I preferred all the itsy-bitsy kids!" he cried out. "And also I didn't take a degree in that area, if you want the proper answer."
The others were satisfied with the answer and conversed in small talk until the bell rang for the next class to start. The teachers said goodbye and the senior primary teachers (6, 5, 4, 3) went off in one direction and the junior primary teachers (2, 1, K) walked off in the other.
"I'm home..." Romeo groaned, opening the front door with a headache. The remainder three troublemakers decided to play music from the phones they weren't even meant to have in class every time he talked. He had to give them a lecture in the end, but they ignored it.
Lovino was home already, eating a tomato like an apple. "How was your day full of brats?" he asked with his mouth full.
"Finish eating before you speak." he scolded.
The man rolled his eyes but obliged, swallowing his food before repeating.
"Oh, the usual. Them being annoying as heck but you just have to deal with it." he sighed.
He nodded. "Hey, isn't today the night you're talking to those brats parents?"
"Not brats, but yes." Romeo stared at his brother. "Why do you know that?"
"Logged on your computer and got the information, duh."
"You don't even know the password!"
"Well, Feli and I have the same password and coincidently, you do to- oh God." He realised he just told him their passwords. The two brothers jumped off the couch for different reasons, Romeo to log into his brother's computer and Lovino to get to it first. However Feliciano had walked in from the backdoor and immediately fell over, his two brothers falling on top of him.
"What are you doing?" Feliciano screeched, flattened by his stupid brothers. "Stopping Romeo before he logs into our computers!" Lovino answered.
"Oh, that's- wait, OUR?!" Feliciano cried out. "I never told you my password!"
"We all have the same password!" Romeo called, diving for Lovino's laptop, Lovino counterattacking him mid-air.
At this point, all three brothers grabbed one of the other's computer; Romeo with Feliciano's, Lovino with Romeo's and Feliciano with Lovino's.
Making sure the other didn't do any sneaky moves, they all entered the same password into the device; P $T . They all logged in and started opening up every browser and checking the search history, trying to find things for blackmail... until the internet froze as they were loading a billion things at the same time. They groaned collectively and glared at each other.
"You find anything yet?" Lovino stared at Feliciano. He shook his head in response. "Nothing yet. You Romeo?"
"Soon, my brother. I'm opening your messages at the moment. It's just that the stupid screen froze. Lovino?"
"Well, I'm also opening up your messages up too- ah!" The internet fixed itself and they all fell silent, clicking away like mad.
Suddenly, Romeo let out a screech and almost dropped the computer. Lovino looked up excited for the information, while Feliciano turned bright red.
"What did you find?!" Lovino asked, looking away from the screen momentarily.
Romeo held up his hand. He turned to the younger brother before gasping; "Why didn't you tell us?!"
Feliciano shrugged. "I dunno, maybe because I'm still processing...?"
"What is it?" Lovino started to stand up, but Romeo held his hand up again. "Do you want me to tell or do you wanna?"
Feliciano turned a darker shade of red and shut his eyes. He started whispering so the two brothers had to lean in, though it was hard as they were in three different corners of the same room.
"Ludwig proposed-"
"HE WHAT?!" Lovino screamed. "WHAT DID YOU SAY?!"
"What do you think?!"
"I don't know, why do you think I'm asking?!"
The two of them were screaming at each other but they were smiling widely.
"I SAID YES!"
The small household erupted into cheers and they closed the computers in unison. "WE NEED TO CELEBRATE!" Romeo screeched.
"YES WE SHOULD!" Lovino agreed.
"BUT DON'T YOU HAVE YOUR THING AT SCHOOL TONIGHT?!" Feliciano asked.
"OH YEAH I DO! AH, WE CAN CELEBRATE UNTIL I HAVE TO GO AND THEN KEEP CELEBRATING WHEN I COME BACK!"
The three brothers linked arms and ran inside the kitchen, the ones on the end hitting the door frame.
