A/N: Hey, there everyone! It's me, MBAV fan66! And I'm back with the next chapter of BOM! :D
Sorry, it took so long, but you know little old me with my forever updates and long-ass chapters. *giggles* ;P Hopefully, I made this chapter entertaining enough for you all to enjoy because now we finally get to some action. :D Also, just to forewarn you all. There will be some mild language (just some cursing, is all) in this chapter, too. So, you have been warned if you're not into that kind of stuff.
I'm sure all have already guessed by now what Jesse is planning to do with Ethan, but if you're still in the dark about that then guess what? You'll soon be finding out right here in this chapter what he plans to do now! :D Lol! :P You know something? Even though I'm the author of this story, it's got me all into it, too! Like...is weird to say that I'm a fan of my own story, now? Lol! ;P Anyway, I'm gonna keep my ramblings short for this author note since I've got a lot of shout outs to give. So, let's get to it! Ok?! :D
Shout outs to these lovely people!:
Gaby4167- Thank you for adding this story to your favorites list! I greatly appreciate it! :D
GRL20756- I don't know if you've been following along with this story or not, but I just wanna say thank you for adding my stories Twelve Months Of Bethan and The Origin Of Ethan Morgan to your favorites list. I very much appreciate it! :D
erinhodgkinson221- Thank you for adding this story to your favorites list! I really do appreciate it! :D
breannacampbell793- I don't know if you've been following along to this story or not, but I just wanna thank you for adding my story The Origin Of Ethan Morgan to your favorites list. I appreciate it! :D
yu-gi-ohlove3- I don't know if you've been reading or following along with this story or not, but I just wanted to say thank you for adding my stories A Fairytale Kind Of Love, The Timid Wolf And The Spellmaster, and The Blood Moon Effect to your favorites list. I very much appreciate it! :D
April Dennis- Thank you for adding this story to your following list! I greatly appreciate it! :D
Stretch Snodgrass- Thanks! Yeah, the vampires in Jesse's present-day flock (in the movie) weren't really all that great at fighting. Especially, if they were able to let two human geeks get the best of them TWICE! Once at the party and then again at the theater! Lol! They sorta seemed like amateurs to me a bit. I mean, in the movie when one of them snatched up that one kid who was antagonizing Jane in her driveway when her back was turned, they were lucky she didn't spot them doing it. Actually, Jane would've been the more luckier one in this scenario, that is. Lol! But that's not the point. What I'm saying is that the vampire who took him was somewhat careless when he/she did it because there could've been a possible witness who saw him/her do it, if Jane had turned around sooner. They should've waited until she went back inside or the guy bothering her finally left and went on about his business elsewhere before swooping down to snatch him off the street. Seems like a rookie mistake to me. Lol! If Benny ever wound up going through that stage in his life, that is! Lol! Not all teens go through the "rebellious act", though. I know I never did. Lol! But who knows?! Perhaps, Benny might someday wind up going through it and if he does I'm sure it wouldn't last long, though, with Evelyn there to straighten him out. Lol! But they are a magical family, so there's no telling how bad things might get between them before they finally ever get better again. IF they ever get better again, that is. Assuming, Benny doesn't LIKE being on the dark side of the supernatural world, that is. Let's hope he never goes through it, in that case. Lol! Anyway, I'm glad you enjoyed the previous chapter, though! I hope you'll find enjoyment in this one too, as now we get to see a little bit of action. ;D
TiredOfBeingNice- Maaayyybeee...? *giggle* ;P Thanks, fanfic buddy! :D I'm glad you're enjoying my version of Jesse in this! That's kind of how I wanted him to be. Like, yes he's evil and a bad guy, but at the same time, he's also still a good guy, too, in a way. I mean, no one is really born evil from the get-go. Which is how I wanted to portray Jesse in this story. He became this way due to a series of unfortunate events, is all. Guess you'll be finding out what they're gonna do about it in this here chapter, now, fanfic buddy! ;D And yeah, Ethan's like borderline on wanting to trust him again. It's like, one hand, he really wants to trust him again because he's his big brother and he remembers how close they were back when he was a little kid. But on the other hand, Ethan also remembers all of the terrible things he's done to him and his friends here recently, as well. But I think Ethan's leaning a bit more towards wanting to be close with his big brother again than he is towards his friends' side about not trusting the evil vampire and basically wanting to see him dead for all the harm he's caused them. Lol! Well, fanfic buddy! Let the excitement commence! Because here's the next chapter now! Enjoy! Lol! ;D
charmedfan120- (reply to your review on chapter 13) Maybe. But I highly doubt it since in the movie Sarah told Ethan that when vampires are killed their souls are trapped in Limbo. And since Horace was human when he died and Rebecca was a vampire when she died then Horace probably went to either Heaven or Hell, whereas Rebecca was sent Limbo. But hey! This is fanfiction! If you want them to be reunited in the afterlife, then so be it! You're free to think whatever you like on the subject! :) And that goes for everybody who was wondering the same thing about that part of the story, too! :D Lol! :P *** (reply to your review on chapter 14) Thanks! I'm glad you liked it! :D I've sort of wondered the same thing, too. Not that I'm saying that that's what's gonna happen to Ethan here in this story, though! You'll just have to wait and find out to see if it happens or not. *awkward/nervous laugh* But since the show's creators never decided to go in that direction (at least, as far as we know since the show only had 2 seasons without a proper ending), all we can do now is just speculate on how Ethan would've handled being a vampire on top of also being a seer, as well. IF they decided to let him keep his seer powers after being turned, that is. Lol! But I guess we'll never really know, huh? But that's the beauty of fanfiction! We can finish what they couldn't! As well, as change or do certain things to the original version that they didn't or refused to do! Like a...*clears throat*...make certain characters fall in love with each other. *wink wink, then smirks* ;) Lol! XD Well, in this story it's still pretty much canon only I just sped things up a bit with the whole Etharah thing unlike the show did. Lol! But like, we can make pairings be gay, lesbian, bi, straight, trans, pan, or whatever we choose them to be! :D Like, my personal favorite pairing, Bethan! :D Obviously, the show's creators would've never taken their relationship in that direction, but we the fans sure can, though! All thanks to the wonderful world of fanfiction! ;D Anyway, thanks for the reviews! Here's hoping that you'll love this chapter, as well! :D
Guadalupe V27- That's ok! Lol! Your English is just fine. I know that not everyone who reads my story knows English very well or at all for that matter. So, you're good, my friend! ;) And you're welcome! :D And yup! A girl can dream! *(smiles widely at you in a cheery manner before then giggling* ;P But will your dream come true or will it be just that? A dream. *giggle* ;P Guess, you'll just find as the story progresses. ;D Thank you for the review, by the way. I'm glad you're enjoying the story and here's the next chapter of it, now! Enjoy! :D Oh, and thank you for the best regards on my health and safety during this pandemic thing, too. I appreciate it a lot and I wish the same for you, as well. *hugs* :)
Tadachi mukusoki- Thank you! I'm glad you're enjoying it! :) And that's ok! Like I said before, I know that not everybody who reads it can speak or understand English very well. Thank goodness for Google Translate, am I right?! :D Lol! :P Anyway, I hope you'll enjoy this newest chapter. :)
Filipinagirl04- Lol! Yup! You were right about Jesse wanting to turn his little brother into a vampire! Lol! XD Oh, wait. Did I just give part of the chapter away? Oh, no! :o Lol! Nah! It's probably alright, anyway. Probably, almost everyone who's read the last chapter has already figured it out by now about what Jesse's up to now, anyhow. *giggle* ;P Unfortunately, we won't get to see Erica's reaction to Jesse just using her during the Dusk premiere thing. Sorry. :( BUT! You will get to see some... other kinds of reaction from her in this chapter, though. *giggle* ;P It's supposed to be somewhat funny in a sense but I'm not sure if it'll come off that way or not. Hopefully, it will. You'll see, once she makes her grand entrance in the chapter later on. ;) And hopefully, I was able to still keep her somewhat in character, too, with the show. But that's up to the reader to determine that, though! :D Lol! :P Anyway, I'm glad you liked the last chapter and now here's the next one! Enjoy! :D
MerlinGrayson- Thank you for adding this story to your favorites list and follow list! I greatly appreciate it! :D
Disclaimer: I do not own My Babysitter's A Vampire or any of it's characters. All I own is this story, the plot, and any OCs that may appear in it, too.
After hearing Jesse's vague answer to them, Ethan and the others quickly caught on by what the evil vampire had meant and their eyes all went wide in shock and terror. None of them liking his answer one bit. Especially, Sarah.
"No, Jesse! You can't! I won't let you!" yelled Sarah anxiously in fear, worry, and anger as she attempted to go towards the evil vampire himself to stop him. But instead, she was instantly stopped (again) by the vampire minion standing in her way, as he held her back. "Let me go, you son-of-a-bitch!" snapped Sarah angrily, this time at the vampire who was holding her as she struggled to get out of his grasp.
"As you wish, princess." mocked the vampire sarcastically, as he let then suddenly shoved her back away from him.
Angry, Sarah hissed at the jerk for pushing her like that. Then she returned her attention towards Jesse with a look that could kill. "I can't believe you, Jesse! How can you be willing to do something like that to your own brother?! I thought you loved him?!" stated Sarah angrily to him.
"I do love him, Sarah!" replied/snapped Jesse heatedly back at her, with venom in his tone as he said her name. Shooting a warning/harsh glare back her way, as well. "Which is exactly why I'm doing it! So, we'll never have to worry about being apart, ever again!" he declared strongly in a serious tone that held a lot of certainty in it, as well.
"How is turning your little brother into a vampire against his will considered love, exactly?!" scoffed Sarah heatedly with resentment in her voice.
Jesse grinned at her comment. "How would it be against his own will if I haven't even asked him yet? Eh, Sarah?" challenged Jesse mockingly back at her with a bit of smugness in his tone.
Sarah didn't say anything. Instead, she only glared at him with hate in her eyes.
Jesse then turned to face his little brother again. "So, little brother...how about it? Will you join me in immortality by becoming a vampire, like your dear old big brother? So, that we may forever be together as the brothers we once used to be? Close, loving, and always looking out for one another." asked/offered Jesse wholeheartedly to his little brother, as he held out a hand for Ethan to take.
Ethan stood there with a shell-shocked look on his face still, as he just stared at Jesse. Not knowing how to react to Jesse's proposal to him, to join him as a vampire. Ethan could tell that his big brother was being very sincere about it through his eyes. But...he could also see something else there, as well. Something dark and sinister. Something...twisted, residing behind those brown eyes of his. They weren't entirely the eyes of the big brother he once loved and knew all those years ago.
Ethan looked down at Jesse's offered hand for a second before then looking back up at his face. Those dark and somewhat foreign eyes of his beloved brother were what gave Ethan his answer.
"No." replied Ethan sympathetically, while shaking his head and taking a step back from Jesse. He stood there staring at Jesse with a sad and hurt look on his face at the man his big brother had become. This wasn't his loving big brother anymore. Instead, when Ethan looks at him now...all he can see is a stranger.
Jesse was taken back by his little brother's answer, as he looked at him with a confused and surprised expression on his face. He thought for sure that Ethan would accept his offer to forever be brothers. Living as immortal beings for all of time, doing whatever they pleased without anybody ever telling them what to do. To be free from the human shackles of aging, death, and illnesses.
"But...don't you want to be brothers again and reclaim the tight bond we once shared all those years ago?" asked Jesse curiously, as he lowered his hand while looking at Ethan with a baffled expression on his face.
"Yes, I do! But...," replied Ethan sullenly before briefly pausing himself in the middle of his sentence, as he looked down in sorrow. Hating how much this already sucks and how he can't be that way with his big brother ever again if Jesse was going keep on continuing down this dark path of evil and selfishness of his, that he's developed since becoming a vampire. Well, since becoming a full vampire, that is. Since technically this evil streak of his didn't happen until after he had his first taste of human blood. But still, though. Ethan just couldn't condone the route in which his brother had chosen for himself when it came to right and wrong. "not like this." finished Ethan disappointingly with sympathy in his tone, too, as he shook his head in disapproval.
"But...but...why, little brother?" asked Jesse dumbfounded in confusion still, as he couldn't quite comprehend why Ethan would refuse to join him in immortality as a vampire. "Being a vampire is AMAZING! Come on, little bro! Just think about it! If you become a vampire, like me then you and Sarah can finally be together! Without her worrying about accidentally losing control and draining you dry of your precious blood until you're dead! The species difference between you two would no longer be a problem because you both would be the same species! No more wasting your time on trying to...find some lame, nonexistent cure that would reverse the effects of vampirism and makes you human again! Don't you see?! The much easiest solution here to be with her is to become what she and I are! Vampires, dear brother! Doesn't a life of immortality with the girl you love sound wonderful and romantic? To truly get to be forever with Sarah?" explained/pleaded Jesse to Ethan, as he tried to reason with the seer on how great his life would be if he just became a vampire like him. Although, in truth, Jesse could careless if Sarah was in the picture or not. All he truly cared about was his little brother, Ethan. And if that meant Sarah being in the picture with him, too, then so be it.
"Also, think about all the benefits that come along with being one, too! Getting to fly, moving at super-speed, having super strength, and heighten senses! As well, as never having to age, or no longer having to worry about human illnesses anymore, being able to heal quickly from injury, having better durability and stamina, and fewer ways of being killed! Being a vampire is the best thing ever! We'd be an unstoppable and all-powerful duo, just you and I! The sky would be the limit for us, baby bro! Two powerful and immortal vampire brothers, just living it up! Going wherever we want! Doing whatever we please! And should anybody dare stand in our way then we'd just kill them! Or we'd teach them a really good lesson to never mess with us ever again." continued Jesse logically and sensibly, as he gave Ethan more reasons why he should become a vampire. Smiling sadistically at that last part about teaching those who dared to mess with them, a very valuable lesson to never do it again.
"I want to share in the glory of being a vampire with you, Ethan. Can't you see that? I know how they treat you at school, little brother. But if you were to become a vampire, like me, then all of that would change. No longer would you be on the bottom of the totem pole of popularity. Instead, you' be sitting on the top of it! You'd finally be able to dish out some sweet revenge on all those jocks who've done nothing but bully you over the years. Putting them in their weak and pathetic places as lowly humans with your vampire strength and agility. Think about it, dear brother! You'd finally be able to be considered cool and popular at school, for once! I know how much you've always wanted that since my small amount of time spent attending Whitechapel High! And now I'm giving you that chance, little brother! So, please, Ethan! Join me in becoming part of the vampire brotherhood and sisterhood, too!" declared Jesse earnestly and passionately. "I need you, Ethan." he then added pleadingly, as he looked at Ethan with a mix of desperation and wholeheartedness.
Ethan took Jesse's words to heart, knowing just how much he meant every word of what he said. Ethan could see just how much Jesse really wanted this. And as nice as his older brother makes being a vampire seems to be...he just couldn't do it. He still knew all about the downsides of what being one was, though. He's seen how much of a struggle that Sarah has gone through since being turned in trying to hold onto her humanity the best she can. So, far, though, since her return to town after transitioning fully over to a vampire, she's still managed to naturally remain the same person who she used to be before becoming a full vampire. And Ethan was very grateful for that. For the short time since she's been back, it appeared that it hadn't changed her for the worse. Which made him realize that vampirism doesn't always necessarily change a person's personality for the worse, most of the time. Sarah and Rory were living proof of that. But that still didn't mean he wanted to take the risk and become a vampire, like them. What if he wasn't so lucky like they were? What if he actually did turn out to be more like his brother and Erica? Being corrupted by all the strength and power that vampirism gives you, thus leading to him becoming a more darker version of himself. Someone who doesn't care if they hurt others or not. No way, was Ethan taking that chance! He liked being a good and considerate person!
So, Ethan stood his ground with confidence in his decision. Even if it meant that his big brother wouldn't like it. "I said no, Jesse. I don't wanna be a vampire. I'm happy just being what I am now. A human." stated Ethan firmly with confidence.
"But why, though? What's so great about being a weak and pathetic human?" asked Jesse rudely and a little bit demandingly, as well. He was starting to lose his patience with the whole ordeal now.
"Uh, how about not having to drink blood just to stay alive?!" retorted Sarah sassily to her ex before Ethan could reply.
Jesse shot her a hateful glare in her direction before then rolling his eyes at her and shaking his head dismissively at her smart remark. He then turned his attention back towards Ethan, again. Waiting for his reply.
"Uh...there's that, too." replied Ethan awkwardly before giving a small nervous laugh, feeling the tension between the two vampires. But he then got serious again, as he reluctantly but also bravely gave Jesse his answer. "But the real reason why is because...I don't want to end up like you, big brother!" he said honestly while giving Jesse this fortified looked to show that he meant it.
"Like me? What's that supposed to mean?" questioned Jesse in confusion with a raised brow.
"It means that you're not the same big brother I once knew anymore, Jessie! That person was kind, sweet, compassionate, and considerate of others. He would never get off in hurting other people or wanting to see them suffer as revenge against something they did to him." replied Ethan boldly, as he listed all the good qualities that he remembers Jesse once had when he was still human. "But now...the big brother I know today...he's not like that anymore. Instead, he's mean, cruel, vindictive, and takes pleasure in other people's suffering! You use other people for your own selfish gain and purposes. No matter the consequences or pain it might inflict on them or their loved ones. All you care about now is power and just taking what you want by any means necessary. Vampirism has changed you, Jesse! And not for the better, either! All it's done to you was make you into a...a...more darker and evil person of yourself! A...monster! Somebody I no longer recognize as my big brother anymore! And..." ranted Ethan passionately from the heart as he continued with why he doesn't want to be a vampire. But then all that passion began to fade away near the end of his rant as he spoke more softly and calmer now as he paused in his words for a short moment with a guilty and shameful kind of expression on his face. As if was sorry about something.
"I'm afraid that if I become a vampire, too, then...I'll wind up just like you did. Evil and self-centered. Which I don't want to be. I like being a good person. And although, there may be a small percent chance of me not winding up that way, like Sarah and Rory did. I still don't want to risk it. Besides...I'm much happier as a human, anyway. Especially, knowing all the drawbacks that being a vampire can have on you from what I've seen lately." he said finally honestly and truthfully. Glancing over at Sarah with remorseful eyes at that last part, knowing the Hell she's gone through since being bitten and turned into one. And is still going through it, too. Just not as badly as she once was when she was still a fledgling, that is. But he could still see the struggle and dislike of being a vampire (full or fledgling) deep within her eyes.
"But little brother! Just think of all the power you'll have!" argued Jesse desperately, as he took a step towards Ethan.
"I don't care about power, Jesse!" shouted Ethan back at him, determinedly.
But Jesse ignored it, as something else had just occurred to him. "Your seer powers..." he said thoughtfully while in thought, thinking about whatever it was that was currently on his mind.
"What about them?" asked Ethan curiously then, with his head slightly tilted to the side like a confused puppy.
"Rebecca never mentioned this to me before... About what happens if someone already had powers before they were turned." Jesse answered absently with a hand to his chin while in deep thought. After a minute or two of pondering, he removed his hand and looked up at Ethan with a twisted smile. "Why, vampirism could make your seer powers even more powerful than they already are! Allowing to do things that a regular seer wouldn't typically be able to do!" he declared brilliantly, liking the sound of that. But it was only one possibility out of three, though.
"But then again...there is a possibility that vampirism won't do a thing to your seer powers at all. Instead, you'd still have them but they just won't wind up being more powerful than your average seers' would be." pondered Jesse again, not really liking this possibility as much as the first one. But technically, Ethan would still be somewhat more powerful than your ordinary vampire is, though. Well...an ordinary vampire who doesn't have years worth of power on their side from living so long, that is. But he would still be powerful, nonetheless! All because he'd be a vampire with seer powers! Silently thinking about this, Jesse realized that maybe possibility number 2 wasn't as all bad as he thought it would be. He grinned to himself in acceptance, as the possibility began to grow him just a little.
But then Jesse thought about possibility number three and frowned. "Then there's the final possibility to think about, which I'm not a big fan of, anyway." he started disappointingly. "Which is, that you'd instead, wind up losing your seer powers altogether. Thus, just leaving you as a regular vampire with no special added abilities that vampires don't normally have." explained Jesse with a look of slight distaste on his face at this possibility. Clearly, making it known to everyone that this was his least favorite possibility. Jesse then let out a sulky sigh of acceptance before speaking again. "But if that one turns out to be the case, then...I guess I'll have no choice but to accept it, then. Powerful vampire or not, you're still my little brother and I love you dearly, regardless of what the outcome may be after being turned." he said with sincerity in his voice, flashing a warm smile at the end. Then the warm smile turned into a cocky and evil smirk. "Besides...I still have all of my power, anyway. Which is more than enough to strike fear into the hearts of others when it comes to getting what we want." he gloated smugly/coolly.
"Tch! Yeah, power that you stole from your mentor right before you literally stabbed her in the heart." scoffed/mumbled Benny sarcastically in annoyance to no one in particular under his breath while giving a small eye roll, as well.
But unfortunately, Jesse was able to pick up on it with his vampire hearing and hissed at the young spellmaster. Causing Benny to jump a little from fright. The dude might be a major jerkwad, in Benny's opinion, but he was still scary, though! Plus, whenever a vampire hisses at him threateningly like that, it always makes him wanna flinch in fear and surprise. Even if it was Sarah or Rory who did it. It still always gave him a bit of a fright, even if he does know that they'd never actually hurt him. Although, with Erica...that was a different story. He wasn't quite as sure if she would actually follow through with the threatening gesture or not. Since one minute she's busy insulting and making fun of them for being geeks and then the next she's sometimes helping them deal with whatever supernatural problem that arises in town. So, he's always a bit cautious when around her presence, just in case.
"Be that as it may...," began Jesse begrudgingly, as he cast a spiteful/serious-looking glare towards the spellmaster. "power is power. And regardless of what the outcome maybe, I'll still use mine to look after you, Ethan. Because I always have your best interest in heart and I'd do anything for you, dear brother. Even if you don't realize it at first." finished Jesse wholeheartedly, as he refocused his gaze back on Ethan again. Which was much softer and gentler than the look he gave Benny just a second ago.
"I already told you, Jesse! I don't care about power! Alright?!" yelled back Ethan ferociously at Jesse, as he stood his ground about the topic with complete confidence. "I'm happy with being who I am, now!"
Jesse's gentle expression quickly fell, then. He was not liking where this was going. No way was he going to take 'no' for an answer. "Don't be ridiculous, little brother. Deep down, you know you want this. So, stop denying it, Ethan. I'm your big brother. You can't fool me because no one knows you like I do, little brother." he said seriously in an unamused way.
This scared Ethan a little. He's never seen his big brother act so...dark and stone cold serious with him before. From what he remembers, Jesse was normally firm, but kind and understanding whenever he got serious with him about something. Never mean and scary in an uncaring and forceful sort of way. Like a...bully or something. But...Jesse did have a point, though. In a way, the thought of becoming a vampire had crossed his mind a couple of times before, but he always talked himself out of the idea, though, since he knows what the consequences of what being one, are. So, yeah! Maybe he did want to be one on some level just a teensy bit out of slight envy and curiosity, but ultimately he really didn't want to be one! Especially, not now! When he's just a teenager trying to survive his first year of high school!
"Y-you're right. I have given it some thought before." admitted Ethan shamefully, as he looked down in guilt. "But that still doesn't mean I actually want to be one, though! They were just dumb meaningless thoughts I had whenever I was feeling down or troubled over something, was all! In the end, I always came back to the same conclusion, every time. Which is that I don't want to be one if I don't have to. And right now, I don't wanna be one. You can't force me into becoming something I don't want to be, big brother. It isn't right!" he stated pleadingly and wholeheartedly, as he tried to get through to Jesse's stubborn way of thinking while trying to keep a brave face. Which wasn't easy to do due to the cold glare that he was currently getting from the vampire, that is.
Jesse's eyes suddenly lit up to their vampiric icy, blue color as he stared at Ethan. "And who says I can't, little brother?" grinned Jesse evilly while revealing his fangs to the teen. He then slowly began to stalk his way on over towards Ethan with an unsettling gleam in his eye, as he continued to grin at the young seer. "One way or another, you will become a vampire. Even if I have to force you into becoming one, dear brother of mine. Maybe then you'll see just how magnificent being one truly is then, once the transformation is done and you're a fledgling." he then stated sinisterly, as he slowly approached Ethan.
With every step Jesse made towards him, Ethan took one step back away from him. "B-but...you said that...you'd look out for me and would always protect me from harm, didn't you? Then...how is forcing me to become a vampire, looking out for me, then?" stuttered Ethan astutely as he tried to remain calm when in truth he was trembling in fear.
"Because, I'll be making you stronger, Ethan. Strong enough to fight back against all the bullies and lowlifes in this horrid world we live in. Plus, you won't have to worry about losing the only real family you have left, either. By becoming immortal like me, you won't ever have to worry about being alone ever again because you'll have your dear big brother right there by your side. So, you see, beloved brother...this is me looking out for you. I only have your best interest at heart and trust me when I say this but...this is what's best for you, little brother. Big brother always knows what's best." firmly replied Jesse darkly and seriously, as he got closer to the seer.
Ethan gulped as he continued to back up more. "B-but...I thought you said that you'd never hurt me, right? That hurting me would be the worst thing that you could ever do and you could never forgive yourself if you did. W-what about that, huh? Wouldn't turning me against my will be hurting me, then?" asked Ethan with desperation and fear in his tone.
Suddenly, Jesse stopped dead in his tracks just a few more steps away from the seer. Seeing as Jesse had stopped, Ethan too had stopped in his movements, as well.
"My dear little brother, everyone has to go through a little bit of pain first to come out on the other side stronger than before." stated Jesse reassuringly with a smile. "And don't worry, it'll only hurt just a little bit, and then it'll be all over with. You'll thank me when it's all said and done with, Ethan. Once you see just how much stronger you've become." he said comfortingly but in a dark and sinister tone. "Right now, you see it as me hurting you but in the end, you'll realize that I was doing this out of love and compassion for you, instead. We can finally reclaim the strong bond we once shared as brothers, Ethan. It is time to be a family, again." finished Jesse sincerely, but still with that evil gleam in his eyes, though.
Ethan didn't say anything. In fact, he had no clue on how to get out of this situation that he was put in. He couldn't run because he knew that it would be pointless due to Jesse's vampire speed. And he couldn't fight back, either. Unlike his friends, Ethan had no natural way to fight back and defend himself from danger, like they did. Sarah and Rory had their vampire speed and strength. Whereas, Benny had his magic to help him out. Ethan, on the other hand, had nothing but his seer powers to help him out. Which were useless when it came to fighting back against an enemy in heat of the moment type situations, such as this. Without his vampire-fighting weapons, he was totally helpless going up against vampires on his own. All he had was his wits to help him escape from situations like this but he can only outwit the bad guy for so long before it's game over for him, though.
Ethan desperately just wished that Jesse would snap out of it and realize that what he's doing is wrong and that this wasn't the brotherly love that they once had together, either. Instead, it was selfishness and greed at it's worse and Ethan just wished that he would see that.
"Marco. Johnathan. Tyler. Please, be sure to keep my darling little brother's friends entertained and out of my way. While I give my baby bro, here, a very special gift from his big brother to help commemorate our little family reunion together." ordered Jesse slyly as he gave a sickening fanged smile while looking directly at Ethan, still.
All three henchmen grinned evilly at Jesse's order to them, then. Giving their responses back to him at the same time.
"Will do, boss." confirmed Johnathan, the vampire who was in front of Sarah.
"You got it, Jess." said the vampire blocking Benny's path (whose name was Marco), as he smirked evilly at the spellmaster while cracking his knuckles, ready for a fight.
"My pleasure." grinned Tyler wickedly, before then flashing his fangs and hissing at Rory. Ready to face off against the blonde before him in a vampire-on-vampire fight.
Jesse never did turn around to look at them, instead, he kept his eyes on the seer the entire time as they gave their response while smiling darkly at the frightened boy. Letting out a small and short dark chuckle, as well, as he continued his slow/stalking-like advancement towards Ethan, once again. Causing Ethan to slowly back away from him with each step he took, once again. Only further distancing himself from his friends, as they fought Jesse's henchmen.
Benny readied himself as he pulled out a mini hand water gun that he had placed in his jacket's pocket earlier before they left to go save Ethan. Thankful that he knew where Ethan kept his stash of vampire killing gear hidden at, in his room. The spellmaster knew that the mini water gun wouldn't be enough to kill a vampire because of how little water it puts out when spraying compared to their larger sized super soakers, but he could still use it as a distraction to at least stun his foe for a brief few seconds, though.
Of course, Benny still wished he could've brought the super soaker, though. But he just didn't have any way of carrying it on him since he was hitching a ride with Rory on their way here. If they had taken a car to get here then maybe he would've brought it with him, but since they didn't, there was very little stuff he could take with him to help fend off evil vampires with. Hence, the mini water gun was the only thing he could fit into his pocket to take with him to help combat his fangy foes with. Especially, since they were in a hurry, too, and he really didn't have much time to debate on which small-sized vampire-fighting equipment to bring with him, as well. But on the bright side, he was very grateful that he was a spellmaster and that he had learned an offensive spell or two to use during battles when unarmed. They weren't powerful enough to kill a vampire but they were powerful enough to at least put them out of the business for a good while, though.
As Benny aimed the mini water gun filled with holy water at Marco, the vampire simply laughed at him. "Hahahaha! What are you going to do with that little thing, huh? Make me feel all refreshed and clean with a little spritz? Hahaha!" laughed/mocked Marco amusingly.
Benny simply smirked knowingly at the dumb evil vampire laughing in front of him, as he continued to point the tiny little water gun at him. "Not exactly, bloodsucker." stated Benny confidently. "How about a nice little bit of stinging pain, instead?" he mocked bravely before then squirting the gun's contents onto the vampire a couple of times.
"AAAHHHH! YOU LITTLE GEEK!" hissed out Marco in pain, where the water had hit him at.
Benny smiled triumphantly at causing the vampire pain, but it soon fell when he saw the vampire quickly recover from his minor burns.
"You're gonna pay for that one, geek!" snarled Marco angrily at him.
Panicked, Benny then tried to squirt Marco again, but this time Marco knew what to expect and quickly dodged it with his vampire speed. Marco sped on up closer to Benny (surprising the young spellmaster in the process, as well) and yanked the water gun right out of his hand and tossed it a good distance away from where they were.
"What now, dork?!" spat Marco satisfyingly/insultingly to him, now that Benny no longer had the water gun to spray him with.
Benny looked at the vampire like a deer caught in headlights at first, but then he quickly recovered by casting a spell. Since it was on the fly when he cast it, Benny didn't really put much thought into what spell he had said due to panic and instead said the first spell that came to mind. So, the spell he wound up saying had caused lightning to shoot out from the palm of his hand. Unfortunately, though, since he never really practiced the spell very much it wasn't all that powerful as it should be. Instead, of blasting the guy with a fully charged bolt of lightning, it was more like a small zap of static electricity that just shocked the vampire enough to maybe hurt a little and that was it. Benny felt embarrassed at how weak the attack was and immediately regretted not putting much effort into it when casting it out of panic. It's hard to think properly when you're terrified for your life!
"Ah!" cried out Marco in pain from the small shock he received when the spell hit him. He rubbed over the spot where the spark of electricity had hit him at with his hand as the pain quickly faded away. He then glared hatefully at the spellmaster. "So, you're not just a dork after all, huh? You're a magic dork." stated Marco spitefully with some bit of amusement in his tone, too. "Too bad, you suck at casting spells, you little dweeb. Now, I'm going to destroy you." he then threatened amusingly with a smug smirk on his face.
Benny gulped in fear at first, but quickly got himself together and this time he was more focused on what spells to use and how much power he should put into them, too.
Marco then came at him.
With Rory and the vampire minion he was currently facing, Rory was ready to go as he had his game face on. Very rarely did he ever take things seriously, but when it comes to the life of one of his best friends being on the line then he's as serious as can be to rescue them from danger then. No way was he going to let Jesse turn Ethan into a vampire! Unless...you know. It was actually something that Ethan wanted. Then sure. He'd have no problem with it. But he highly doubts that his seer friend wants to be one, right now! Especially, considering how scared he looks at the thought of it as Jesse slowly kept creeping up on him with that dumb evil look of his! So, no way was he letting Jesse get his fangs on Ethan again! He might've failed to be there for him at the dance when Jesse tried to turned him once already then, but not this time! This time, it was Super Rory to the rescue!
"Hey! Loser!" called out Tyler (the vampire working for Jesse, who stood in Rory's way) suddenly to Rory. Drawing Rory's attention back on him, again. "Pay attention! The fight's over here. Not over there."
Rory looked back over at Tyler, realizing that if he wanted to save Ethan then first he has to get through this guy. Rory's fangs were out, as he was ready to fight this guy. He held up both of his fists as he took up a fighting-like stance.
Tyler laughed at how pathetic and dorky the blonde looked. "You've got to be kidding me, right? This is my opponent? Ha!" laughed/mocked Tyler amusingly.
"Shut up! And prepare to fight, you fanged freak!" snapped Rory defensively in anger, as he stared down the guy with a serious expression on his face.
Again, Rory's threatening demeanor didn't even scare the guy, let alone even made the guy seem worried in the slightest about going up against him. Instead, Tyler just laughed even harder now, as he practically doubled over from how funny it was. "You-You do realize that...you're also...a vampire, too?! Right?!" hysterically laughed Tyler. "You've just pretty much insulted yourself in the process, too, you idiot! You know, that right?" he stated amusingly, as he was finally able to calm down from his laughing fit. Now, staring at Rory with a smug/amused grin on his face.
Rory just blushed while trying not to appear so embarrassed by what the guy had just pointed out to him. Then he hissed at the guy to show that he wasn't scared of him and held up his fists at him, once again. But Tyler simply just chuckled amusingly at him, though.
"It's a shame that I have to fight someone as dumb as you, but orders are orders. And we're supposed to keep you losers from getting too close to Jesse while he's busy with his brother." stated Tyler amusingly, sounding somewhat remorseful but not really, as he stood there with a smug smile on his face. "Tell you what. I'll be a good sport and even let you land the first punch. What do ya say?" offered Tyler respectfully with a cocky grin. He then leaned forward a little with his head turned. "Come on, dweeb! Right here! Whatcha waiting for? Let's see what you got." teased/dared Tyler brazenly while lightly tapping his cheek to entice and encourage Rory to do it. He then stood back up straight again, crossing his arms confidently as he awaited for Rory to make the first move.
Feeling brave and accepting the challenge, Rory manned up and punched the guy right in the side of his face causing Tyler's head to turn in the direction of the swing. Rory then stepped back a few feet after the punch had landed and started to shake his hand a little from the bit of pain that came with the blow.
"Ah! Jeez! That really hurts!" painfully hissed out Rory, as he tried to get the pain to go away after his fist made contact with his opponent's face. But he was quickly snapped out of his current train of thought when he heard the guy laughing amusingly, then.
"Is that all you've got?" chuckled Tyler darkly at the blonde.
Rory's eyes went wide with surprise as he then looked up at the guy. Tyler's head was still turned to the side but he was still smiling in amusement, though, with his arms still crossed as if nothing had ever happened. Tyler then moved his head to face Rory, again. Looking as if Rory's manly little punch to the face was nothing to him, as he stood there unfazed by it.
"You're gonna have to do way more better than that, I'm afraid. If you hope to defeat me, kiddo." informed Tyler patronizingly in a smug manner as he grinned at him.
Rory swallowed nervously at the realization that his punch barely did a thing to the guy. Realizing that he was in deep water now and that his fight wasn't going to be as easy as he thought it was. Clearly, this guy was tougher than he looked! But Rory wasn't about to back down, though! Even if he was now scared of getting his butt kicked by this dude! He had to at least try to put up a good enough fight! His friends were counting on him, after all! So, Rory steeled himself and prepared for whatever this guy would throw at him.
"Now, it's my turn." declared Tyler sinisterly with a wicked gleam in his eye while grinning evilly.
Sarah didn't like the idea of Ethan being alone with Jesse. Especially, knowing what he was planning on doing to him, too. But if she wanted to get any closer to the two Black brothers to help out the one she actually cares for the most, then she's going to have to get through this numbskull, first. Which wasn't going to be easy considering he was a somewhat burly-looking guy.
A repulsive/creeped out shiver ran through Sarah's body at the way the guy was now creepily looking at her. It was clear that he was totally checking her out from the way his eyes seemed to be scanning her body from head to toe while smiling as if he liked what he's seeing. Sarah always did hate douchebag men like him. Looking at women and judging them based on their looks, as if they were some sort of car or object to be had. Obviously, there's more to a woman besides just her looks! And to Sarah this just made her wanna punch that arrogant and judgy/satisfied look right off his face. She wasn't some...eye candy for some dick vampire working for her ex! Or any guy, for that matter! Plus, she was taken anyways! By the guy, he's trying to keep her from rescuing!
"I swear, if you don't stop checking me out with your eyes like that, then I'm going to rip them out and feed them to you. Got it?!" threatened/warned Sarah seriously, as she glared at the guy.
"Awe, now come on, babe. Where's the fun in that? Maybe I like what I see." flirted Johnathan playfully back at her before then winking at her.
Sarah wanted nothing more than to barf, right then and there at this idiot's attempt to flirt with her. "Yeah, well...maybe I don't like what I see. A big filthy pig with no respect for women." she said in a snarky manner with attitude in her tone, which put an unpleasant scowl on the guy's face at her insult towards him. "I already have a boyfriend, anyway. Remember?" she then added seriously and bit haughtily, as well.
"Oh, yeah. That's right. The boss's dorky little brother, right? Hah! Why be with a scrawny little dude like him when you can be with someone as strong and buff, like me?" replied Johnathan cockily. He then flexed his arm to show off his biceps to her but Sarah still wasn't impressed by his display of manly-hood, though.
Sarah rolled her eyes at the guy. "Maybe because I'm more of a brains kind of guy gal than I am a brawn one, you meathead. Where Ethan lacks muscle and physical strength, he makes up for it in smarts and personality. Unlike you." sassed Sarah defensively to the muscle jerk in front of her. "Now, get out of my way so I can rescue my boyfriend!" she then demanded threateningly in a very serious tone, as she flashed her fangs at the guy.
"Ooh! Ouch! That one really hurts." scoffed Johnathan amusingly in feigned hurt, as he placed a hand over where his heart would be. Not really taking her insult that seriously as he continued to grin at her in amusement. "You know something, the boss told me that you two once dated a few months back. Too bad things didn't work out between you two because you actually had the perfect package with him when it comes to brains and brawn. It may not look like it, but the boss isn't only really smart and clever. He's also pretty well-toned under his shirt, as well. But then again, I'm sure you already know that since you dated him, once upon a time. Probably, what made you fall for him in the first place, isn't it?" he said teasingly and arrogantly to her.
This made Sarah really mad now, as she hissed at him. "Shut up!" she yelled angrily at him.
But Johnathan just laughed at her. "You know something? It's pretty messed up that you'd break up with one Black brother just to turn around and date the other one, soon after. I mean...how can you do the boss like that, after everything he's done for you? It wasn't enough that you broke his heart and then ruined his plan to take over this sad little town. Now, you're dating his little brother! The one person he cares most about in this world! Maybe Jesse's not the evil one here after all? Maybe it's you!" teased Johnathan provokingly in amusement, as he continued to laugh at her again.
That was it for Sarah! She's had just about enough of this dude! So, not being able to take any more of Johnathan's jokes and poking fun at her about her love life, Sarah went after the guy from anger. Starting her fight with the burly man who stood in her way of getting to Ethan and Jesse.
Back with Ethan and Jesse.
Ethan found himself helpless while going up against Jesse alone. He quickly glanced over at where his friends were and saw that they were all busy fighting Jesse's henchmen in one-on-one fights. It was just him and his big brother, now.
"It's just me and you now, little brother. So, there's no use in trying to fight me without your little weapons on you. You might as well just give up now and accept your fate to become one of us, so that we may truly be brothers forever, Ethan." came Jesse's eerie and gleeful voice, bringing Ethan's attention fully back to him, again.
Ethan kept slowly backing away from his big brother, who was still slowly advancing towards him with a sickening smug grin on his face. "J-J-Jesse...P-Please! Don't do this, big brother!" pleaded Ethan desperately and nervously to the vampire one last time.
"It's alright, little brother. There's nothing to worry about." replied Jesse in a soothing and reassuring tone, although his tone didn't match his current mannerism, though. His voice might've been soothing and comforting but his facial expression was anything but that, as it held a sinister and smug look to it.
"L-Like hell there isn't! You're wanting to turn me into a vampire against my will, big brother!" shouted back Ethan terrifyingly in defiance, as he kept walking backwards. "I don't want to drink other people's blood!"
Jesse grinned. "You say that now, little brother. But you'll come to enjoy just as I have. You'll see." replied Jesse. "You're scared now, Ethan. But the moment when you wake up after being bit you'll come around and immediately realize just how great it feels to be a vampire, like I did." explained/reassured Jesse in a caring tone. "It's no use in trying to escape. I'll catch up to you wherever you try to go to, Ethan. You know a human can't outrun a vampire. So, you might as well just give up and get it over with, darling brother." this time Jesse's tone was more malevolent sounding but still somewhat soft and caring, though.
But Ethan still wasn't about to give in to his big brother's desire to turn him, though! Seeing the evil fangy smile that Jesse just gave him right after his little speech caused Ethan to swallow in fear. There was only one thing on Ethan's mind at the moment and that was to run, knowing it was most likely going to be pointless. But he still had to try, right? So, he did. Ethan quickly turned around and tried to make a swift getaway, but unfortunately, he wound up bumping into someone, instead. And that someone was his big brother, Jesse. The one he was trying to get away from.
Jesse had used his vampire speed to quickly cut off Ethan's escape route after predicting what the boy's next move was going to be and he was right. Before Ethan could do anything to put space between Jesse and himself, Jesse had grabbed the seer by the shoulders and stared down at him menacingly with his glowing blue eyes. Ethan didn't even bother to try and get out of his grip because he knew it would be futile thanks to Jesse's vampire strength. He was caught and there was nothing else more he could do now to escape the fate his older brother had planned for him. So, Ethan just stood there helplessly gazing up at Jesse's frightening blue vampiric eyes and sinister grin, in fear and dread at what's to come next for him now.
Sarah tried her best to takedown Johnathan, but the big burly vampire was too much for her to take on her own. Even if she was a full vampire now, Sarah just couldn't get her head fully in the game while fighting this dude. She was too worried about Ethan to be able to focus properly.
"Come on, princess! Is that the best you've got?!" taunted Johnathan amusingly to Sarah after dodging a punch from her. He then smiled smugly at her right before he kicking her in the stomach and knocking her down on the ground.
Sarah sat up heavying a little while holding a hand lightly over her stomach, as the kick practically knocked the wind out of her. She glared up at the guy spitefully, making him laugh at her.
"What's wrong, princess? Having trouble keeping your head in the game because you're too worried about your little loser of a boyfriend? Hahaha!" taunted Johnathan teasingly in a baby voice halfway through his sentence before breaking out into a laugh at her.
"Fuck you, you bastard!" cursed Sarah bitingly back at the guy in anger. Although, she knew he was right, though. That's the whole reason why she's fight like crap against this guy, right now. She just wasn't about to admit it to a jerkwad like him, though. She then got up and readied herself again to go up against this guy, not having a clue on how to beat him or at the very least get the upper hand on him long enough so she can quickly rush to Ethan's aid before Jesse bites him.
Sarah then rushed the guy at vampire speed, but then at the last second sped around the guy until she was directly behind him. Then she quickly wrapped her arms around Johnathan's neck as tight as she could to hopefully apply just enough pressure to knock him out. Unfortunately, Johnathan was quick to act because, after just a few seconds of having Sarah's arms around his neck and struggling to get her off, he then elbowed her hard in the gut. Causing Sarah to lose her grip on him briefly, which was enough for Johnathan to then grab one of her arms and fling her over his shoulder and onto the ground in front of him. Before Sarah could recover from the harsh landing she just took, Johnathan was then on top of her in the blink of an eye with both of his large hands wrapped securely around her neck.
"Sorry, princess! But I'm through playing games with you, now. It's time we end this." snarled Johnathan seriously, as he tightened his grip around her neck to choke her. Of course, choking her wouldn't necessarily kill her since she's a vampire and all. But it would knock her out long enough for Jesse to bite and turn his little brother into a vampire, though. Also, he was starting to grow bored of Sarah's half-ass fighting moves against him, as well.
Johnathan grinned in enjoyment at having the upper hand against her while strangling the air out of her with his bare hands. Sarah tried desperately to get him to let go but it was useless against his strong grip on her neck. She was already starting to see spots dance before her vision while also feeling a bit lightheaded from the lack of air her lungs were receiving right now.
Right as Sarah was on the verge of blacking out, suddenly Johnathan felt someone from behind him lightly tap him on the shoulder. "Excuse me there, handsome?" came a female voice innocently and sweetly from behind him.
"Yeah? What is-" started Johnathan a bit irritatingly for the interruption, but when he went to turn his head slightly to see who it was, he was then painfully cut off before he could finish his reply to them by a sudden hard and powerful kick to the side.
"Get the hell off of my best friend." the female voice then demanded in a menacing/dead serious tone, right after kicking him in the side with some of her vampire strength added in. She didn't use too much strength in that kick as she didn't want to ruin her shoes too badly, but it was powerful enough to send the guy tumbling away from Sarah just a few feet, though. She shot the asshole a glaring/pissed-off look, too, after sending him flying with her kick.
Sarah gasped immediately for air once she felt the pressure on her neck let up greatly. After heaving a couple of times to get some air back into her lungs, Sarah slowly sat up a little bit with a hand held lightly over her chest as she tried to steady her breathing some. After a few minutes, her breath was back to normal, although her neck was still a little bit sore from Johnathan's hold on her neck, though. But she decided to ignore it for now. Right now, she had a bigger problem to deal with. Sitting up further, Sarah looked up at her savior to see Erica standing there looking down at her with a smug smirk on her face.
"Hey, bestie! How's it been?" greeted Erica amusingly in a relaxed and cheeky manner, as if it was any other boring day and that she didn't just save Sarah from some dickhead trying to strangle her.
"I've been better." replied Sarah cheekily as well with a smile, happy to see her best friend's face. Erica smiled back at her before holding her hand out for her to take. Sarah took the offered-up hand graciously, as Erica helped her up onto her feet again. "What are you even doing here, Erica? I thought you were on a date with some guy, tonight? Also, how did you even find us, anyway?" wondered Sarah curiously then.
"I did." replied Erica simply with a shrug. "But the guy never showed up. He picked going to some big hockey game with his loser friends over me, instead. Can you believe that, Sare?! He stood me up!" she went on to say in a mix of spite and surprise laced in her tone, as she shook her head unbelievably what happened to her. Then a wicked grin spread itself across her face at what she was about to say next. "So, after realizing that he stood me up, I managed to track him down, and uh...let's just say I taught him a lesson to never stand me up, again." devilishly explained Erica in a hinting-like manner.
"Erica! Please tell me you didn't?!" gasped Sarah scandalously at her.
"Relax, Sarah! I didn't kill the poor guy! Even if he did deserve it for standing me up like that." exclaimed Erica somewhat defensively with an eye roll to match, but the last part of her statement she mostly mumbled to herself, though. "I waited until he left the arena and was away from his little friends before I made my move. Well...actually, I had to wait a bit longer after that until he got home, that is. Then I struck once he got out of his car and was alone." she then explained a bit smugly with pride in her tone. She then flashed Sarah a fangy/pleased smile at the end for show.
That brought some relief to Sarah, knowing that Erica didn't go overboard and just straight up drained the guy dry for standing her up on their date night in favor of his friends and some hockey game. But Sarah still wishes she'd stop dating these guys just for their blood, though. There are other means to get blood, after all. The main one being blood bags!
"So, did you know where to find us, afterward?" then asked Sarah.
"Oh, that. Well, once I was done with my supposed date I decided to stop by Nerd King's place to return these back to you." replied Erica, as she reached into her pocket to pull out a pair of dangly earrings. "I ran on to them while getting ready for my date tonight. I was going to just return them to you tomorrow, but since things had changed regarding my 'so-called date', I thought I'd just bring them by now and get it over with. After making a quick stop at home, first, that is." she explained earnestly.
"Thanks!" replied Sarah gratefully, as she took the earrings out of Erica's hand and then safely placed them in her own pants pocket. "I appreciate it." she stated thankfully with a smile. Erica didn't reply back but instead just simply shrugged nonchalantly back at her with a kind smile of her own.
"Anyway, when I got to Ethan's house Benny's grandma was the one who answered the door. When I asked where you were at, she told me about everything that went down there, earlier with Jesse. She didn't tell me everything, though. Only what all she knew about the situation. But after hearing you and the other two dorks taking off to go save Ethan from Jesse, I knew you would need my help in taking him on. So, I went flying around town in the hopes of stumbling upon you guys somewhere. Thankfully, you guys were all outdoors this time around. If not, then I probably would've either texted you asking for your location or just have Mrs. Weir do some kind of locator spell using your earrings to help find you." further explained Erica, answering Sarah's question about how she was able to find her.
"So, what's this I hear about Ethan and Jesse being 'long lost brothers', anyway, Sarah?" questioned Erica curiously then, with a raised brow.
"It's a long story. I'll fill you in later on the details." simply replied Sarah in a semi-sarcastic/annoyed tone, as she rolled her eyes at the whole story that she has to tell her. Still not being able to believe it herself in some small way and yet she did.
Erica just shrugged. Deciding to take her word for it and just wait until all this craziness with Jesse was behind them for the night. "Eh. Ok." was all the blonde said, which brought a grateful smile to Sarah's face.
Suddenly, both girls heard some rustling in the grass next to them. When they looked over they saw that Jesse's henchman had recovered from his earlier blow to the ribs, courtesy of Erica's foot. "Argh! Son-of-bitch! That was some kick!" grumbled Johnathan painfully and a bit ticked off, as well. As he approached Erica and Sarah, he had a hand held over the side he was kicked in and was slightly slouched over as he walked. After a few more seconds, he then abruptly stop and started coughing a little with a small amount of blood spewing out of his mouth. Once he had finished coughing up the small bit of blood, he then stood up tall as the majority of the pain had finally left his side some. Although he wasn't a hundred percent up to fighting standards just yet, he was good enough to put up a hell of a fight still, while his rapid healing abilities kicked in. Johnathan then wiped away some of the leftover blood he coughed up earlier from his mouth and looked at it. "Well, damn! It even made me bleed a little!" he lightly scoffed in a sarcastic and yet very impressed manner, as he looked at the small amount of blood on his fingers with a half-amused smile on his face. When he looked up at the girls to see who had kicked him, a flirty/cocky grin then graced his lips at the sight of the beautiful blonde before him. "Hey, there, hot stuff. That was quite the dirty trick you pulled on me, earlier. But I'll forgive you since you're kind of sexy." flirted Johnathan cockily to Erica.
Unlike Sarah, Erica wasn't as bothered by Johnathan's degrading attempts at flirting with the ladies. In fact, Erica just simply went along with it and flirted back with the guy for fun as she smirked at him. "Well, aren't you the gentlemen." quipped Erica playfully back at him. "And uh...you're not too bad yourself there, either, Mr. Tall, Dark and Sexy. Much better than that loser who stood me up earlier tonight." grinned Erica approvingly, as her eyes roamed up and down his muscular body. Liking what she was saw.
The whole thing made Sarah want to throw up at the way the two were flirting/toying with each other during their trash-talking. "Of course, Erica would be enjoying this. This is her type of thing, after all." thought Sarah disgustingly at what was happening in front of her, right now. She couldn't help but shake her head in disgrace and shame at her best friend after that thought.
"Ahh, you're way more fun than your moody little friend, there." stated Johnathan impressively with intrigue, but then subtly nodded his head in Sarah's direction when he referred to her as the 'mood little friend', though. Sarah just shot the man a dirty look for that one, while deciding not to say anything knowing he'd probably have a smart-aleck remark for whatever she would've said to him.
"Aww, thanks! That's what I keep telling her!" thanked/agreed Erica graciously in an incredulous manner to the guy. "Ever since she became a vampire, Sarah's been a real bore when it comes to having fun, lately. If you know what I mean?" she then stated unimpressively in a somewhat snooty way.
"Erica!" gasped/reprimanded Sarah in offense and surprise, suddenly.
"What? It's true, Sare! I can never get you to fully enjoy the glory that being a sexy immortal and ever-powerful vampire can be! Instead, you're all about 'morals' and 'doing the right thing' all the time!" argued Erica in defense, as if it was obvious. "You're always going on and on about wanting to find a cure for vampirism or finding new ways to fit in more better that still makes you feel human. Like...who would ever want that?! If you ask me, becoming a vampire was the best damn thing we ever did." continued Erica complainingly with exasperation evident in her tone, as well.
"Not for me it wasn't!" exclaimed Sarah loudly back at her in offense. "I never even asked to be one, Erica! Plus, my life was just fine before becoming one! Now, it's...not, anymore." she went on to say heatedly back to her bestie, but then her expression softened some, to a sadder one at the end at the thought of how much her life now sucks since being a vampire. She hated every day of it, even if she has become more accepting of her new life. It still hurt to know that certain things will never be the same ever again for her. Like, being able to start a family of her own and being able to settle down in one place for the rest of her life until she took her final breath on her death bed.
Erica apologetically frowned at her best friend's words, mentally kicking herself for her stupid comment earlier. Especially, knowing how Sarah feels about the matter and how much pain and sadness it's brought to her, too. But sometimes, Erica tends to forget about all of that as she gets too caught up in her own selfish ego and desires a lot of the time. Only thinking about herself more than her best friend at times. Sometimes, she just needed a little reminder about what's truly important to her. Like, her best friend's thoughts and feelings. Despite what Erica might want other people to believe about her, she really is a softy at heart when it came to her best friend, Sarah. Rarely, anyone got to see that side of her except for Sarah. Well...hardly anyone has, nowadays. Ever since she was bitten and turned by Gord at that party at the beginning of the year, that is. Before that, she actually was a pretty kind and caring person to others and wasn't afraid to show it, either. But she only remained that way openly because of her geeky appearance and lack of self-confidence in herself which caused her to never stand up for herself when dealing with bullies. Now, that that's all changed thanks to being a hot sexy vampire now, that part of her has been shoved deep down inside her for only a very select few to see. Like, Sarah.
Sarah saw the apologetic look on Erica's face and sighed heavily in response. "Sorry, for snapping like that. It's just...you know how I feel about the subject." apologized Sarah.
"No. It's my fault and you were right. I do know how you feel about the subject. So, I'm the one who's sorry." sincerely apologized Erica. She then looked up at Sarah with an innocent/pleading pout on her face. "Friends?" asked Erica sweetly to her, as she held out her arms for a hug.
Sarah smiled at her best friend's apology. "Friends." she answered earnestly in a forgiving and kind tone, as she stepped forward to accept the hug. They both remained like that happily for a minute or two longer until they were rudely interrupted by Johnathan speaking.
"Ugh! Enough with all of the love-fest junk, already! You're making sick!" groaned Johnathan in disgust and annoyance with an eye roll, as he made a fake gagging noise at the end. "Can we get back to the ass-kicking and fighting, now?" he asked/complained impatiently.
Ending the hug, Erica looked over at Johnathan with a smirk. "What? Getting jealous because my bestie here is getting more of my attention than you are, right now?" playfully teased Erica, as she slung an arm over Sarah's shoulders with both girls giving a mocking/confident smile at Johnathan.
"Please, toots." simply replied Johnathan nonchalantly as he rolled his eyes in annoyance at her smart remark. "I just wanna see if your moves are as good as you look, is all. Plus, I kinda have a thing for blondes more than I do brunettes, anyway, beautiful." he then said cockily/flirtingly at her with a wink.
Erica smirked feeling flattered, whereas, Sarah just rolled her eyes. "Ugh! Not this again." stated/complained Sarah tiredly with sarcasm evident in her tone, as well. Not really wanting to hear all of their nauseating and flirtatious trash-talking, again.
Erica then took a couple of steps in front of Sarah and stood confidently facing Johnathan, ready to fight him. "Go on, Sarah! I can handle this guy on my own." declared Erica courageously with confidence, as she stared down her opponent.
Sarah was taken back by her eagerness to face this dude alone. "Erica, are you sure about this? That guy is tough to deal with!" asked Sarah concerningly, not wanting to leave her best friend to deal with the burly guy on her own.
"Yeah, I'm sure." replied Erica cockily, glancing back at her over her shoulder a little with a confident/smug smile on her. Then she turned her head back to Johnathan before speaking again. "After that little kick in the ribs I gave him earlier, I'm pretty sure he's still recovering from it. Especially, since it was hard enough to cause him to cough up some blood like that. My guess is that he probably sustained a few internal injuries from that kick, as well. And even with vampire healing, it still takes a while to completely recover from such serious injuries like that. Meaning, even though he might seem fine now, he's still in quite a bit of pain under the surface, I imagine. As his body continues to mend itself from the internal damage he's taken from that kick. So, he's not as strong anymore as he once was at the beginning of your fight, Sare. I'm sure that kick has taken him down a few pegs, thus making him a bit more easier to deal with, now." she explained arrogantly as she crossed her arms and smirked knowingly at the guy.
"My! Aren't you astute for such a pretty little thang! Maybe not all blondes are as dumb as they say, after all, huh?" remarked Johnathan cockily in a playful manner, as he smiled at her.
"I guess not, pretty boy." replied Erica amusingly while giving him a fangy/cocky smile and with a little wink of her own right back at him, as well. "Like, I said before, Sarah. I've got this, while you go rescue Nerd Ki-" she confidently started to say to her before being cut off by Sarah rudely clearing her throat loudly in a disapproving manner. Erica then rolled her eyes, knowing why her best friend just did that. "Sorry! I meant Ethan, from the fangs of your ex-boyfriend. Again." corrected Erica with a slight hint of annoyance in her tone, as she placed emphasis on Ethan's name while correcting herself from calling him, Nerd King.
This brought a reassuring smile to Sarah's face then, knowing that she right. Her best friend got this! She knew that Erica was a total badass when it came to fighting someone (at least, ever since she became a vampire, that is). Just...whenever she wanted to, though. Most of the time Erica either preferred to just stay out of it when it came to any fighting that needed to be done. Or heck! She wouldn't even help them when it came to figuring out what they're dealing with and how to stop it, even! Instead, Erica was mainly hands-off when it comes to saving the town! Unless...Sarah would beg her for her help, that is. Other than that, Erica pretty much avoids being around the guys for too long. Including, when it came to stopping whatever evil threatens the town that day.
But Sarah felt more at ease now because she knows that Erica can handle herself against this guy a lot better than she could. Plus, unlike her, Erica wasn't in a totally different headspace, right now, either. Instead, all of Erica's focus is on dealing with this jackass of a vampire while hers is mostly on Ethan and Jesse.
"Alright, Erica! I'm leaving it up to you, now! Good luck!" genuinely replied Sarah faithfully while believing in her best friend's capabilities. Sarah then zoomed away with her vampire speed to go help Ethan.
Erica smiled fondly at her friend's words of encouragement for a moment before it then turned into more of a fangy/smug smirk as she locked eyes with her opponent. "Alright, handsome. I hate to do this to that cute face and hot bod of yours, but...I'm afraid I'm gonna have to mess it up some. You understand, right? Oh! And I hope you don't mind getting your ass kicked by a girl, either." taunted Erica with a mix of sass and pride in her tone along with amusement, too.
Johnathan simply grinned intriguingly at Erica's cocky words and demeanor towards him. "Not as long as she's as beautiful and attractive as you are, babe. Then I don't mind one bit." replied Johnathan. "Hey, how about after all of this, you and I go grab a bite to eat or something?" he then asked her charmingly/cockily.
"Sorry, McDreamy, but I don't date henchmen. I only go for the higher-ups, like the big boss or the second in command. Nothing personal. I just enjoy dating someone with a bit of power, is all. Makes me feel like I'm on top myself, too." answered Erica earnestly with a half shrug.
"A woman with ambition! Nice! I like that!" replied Johnathan impressively. "Guess I'll just have to ask the boss for a promotion then if I wanna bag a lady like you then, huh?" he then said arrogantly with a smile.
"Guess, so." was all Erica said back to the guy, smiling cockily herself before then engaging in battle with him.
A/N: Well, that's it for this chapter, for now, folks! So, what did y'all think? Very...action-packed and somewhat climatic, as well, huh?! ;D Lol!
Jesse is just bound and determined to turn Ethan into a vampire, huh? Only caring about his sick fantasy of living a life of immortality with his little brother and becoming the two most powerful vampires in the world, too. Even if it's not something Ethan wants. It doesn't matter to Jesse because he believes that after a while of being one that Ethan will quickly come around to his way of thinking and seeing things, in the world.
Now, before the gang can go help Ethan they first must deal with Jesse's three henchmen. I'm just gonna come on out and say this here, but sadly the small fight scenes that you got in this chapter are all you're gonna see between the three matchups of Jesse's men and the gang (aka Benny, Sarah, Rory, and Erica). I won't be writing them out from start to finish, so...yeah. I feel as if the fight scenes between the gang and the henchmen aren't really all that necessary in this story. Plus, I decided to give the evil henchmen in my stories a little break and NOT kill them off for once! Lol! Fyi, that was a teeny spoiler for you all, too. *giggle* ;P
Do you think Sarah will make it in time to save Ethan from being turned into a vampire by Jesse?...AGAIN! Lol! :P I guess, the next chapter will tell us then, huh?! Lol!
Oh! And hey! Look! Erica has FINALLY made her appearance in this story again! So, that's something, right? Lol! ;P Coming in and saving her best friend at the last minute. That's so Erica! Always, loves to make a grand entrance! :D Lol! :P While maybe...also...flirting with the enemy, too. *giggles* ;P Which I totally loved by the way! I don't know if canon Erica would do something like that in the show or not, but I just feel like she would. Yah know? If they were cute, that is. *giggle* :P
Alright! I believe this author note is long enough, already. Lol! Until next time, I'll be seeing you all around! Bye! ;D
