Allowing Adrien to use her shower meant that Marinette had time to do a quick sweep of her living room, the mess was ranging from her various sketches to food wrappers which all of which was practically littered everywhere!

The sound of the bedroom door opening had Marinette lift her head from her desk- dropping the papers in her hand so that they littered the floor once more! Adrien had emerged from his shower and the combination of towel- dried-still-slightly- wet- hair and his shirtless torso, had her trying to tightly grasp onto the concept of breathing.

The button of his faded jeans hadn't been fastened; showing the trail of muscle that formed a perfect V at the top of his groin- which stretched as a Adrien raised his hand to his hair with a nervous chuckle, "I'm sorry to ask but I'm such a Klutz and it seems I sat down on my shirt after I got out of the shower- would you mind if I dried it?" Relieved to have some company for a bit longer, Marinette beamed gratefully at him, "of course! It's no problem at all!"

Adrien settled into the sofa flicking through the channels while Marinette poured herself into her sketch book. Eventually, he put the remote on the table and found himself watching Marinette, with his chin resting on his raised knee, he smiled contentedly. She was relaxed; sat crossed legged in the very corner of the sofa, her hair in a messy bun, skin-tight pyjamas and her nose buried busily in her work.

But somehow, the image of her outline in the bed had stuck with him, the idea of her curled-up and crying herself to sleep was clawing away at his heart. However, seeing her in this calm and relaxed state gave him some reassurance that all will be ok for her in the end. His heart craved her happiness, he prayed that she would be content- just as she seemed at this very moment.

Noting that he had been watching her for some time, she looked up to him with a shy smile, "what is it?" His eyes lit up as a small giggle escaped her before he slightly shook his head, "nothing, it's just weird to see you working like this. You do the same work as my dad but he's always uptight about it. He would always stand and concentrate like his life depended on it!"

Though the room was only lit slightly by the glow of her work lamp, he could see a faint tinge in her cheeks as she considered what Gabriel Agreste would look like as he made new designs, "I guess nothing about this looks professional huh? Maybe I should take a leaf out of your father's book?"

Quickly shaking his head, Adrien lowered his leg and sat back with his arms crossed, "nope. I think you should keep using your own 'leaves', remember what I said earlier about models being individuals with their own styles?" Marinette nodded- trying to only recall his words and not what he had been doing to her in that time.

"The same is true for the designers too. Your work is incredible because it is all you. Your unique style has earned a name for itself and people can recognise it as yours! Would you mind if I watch you a little longer?" His shirt would have no doubt dried by now, and though he worried that he may be outstaying his welcome, he felt reluctant to leave just yet.

Thankfully, Marinette was seemingly grateful that he wanted to stay and so he shuffled closer to her, placing an arm around her while she naturally gravitated into him- with her back against his chest and nose back in her sketchbook.

With a deep sigh, Adrien relished the sense of peace that was flowing through him. He had never known something as pure and blissful as this; relaxing with the warmth of another in near silence, while they sat there for hours- Marinette drawing and mumbling to herself while Adrien watched over her shoulder. It was comfortable and warm- so much so, that Adrien's eyes eventually became heavy, before allowing sleep to overcome him.

Rapid hammering against the front door roused Adrien from his slumber. Light was shining harshly against his eyes from the windows, but this attack on his senses was quickly remedied when he felt Marinette curled up in his arms- fast asleep with her sketches scattered around her. Carefully, Adrien lowered her head onto the pillow and snuck out from under her, placing a gentle kiss on her forehead, before answering the door.

"Finally! We were all starting to get…worried? Oh! I'm sorry! This…this is 37a right?" Unabashed, her eyes stared at Adrien's bare torso to his messy bed hair, before her deep blush darkened as Adrien smiled in understanding, "I take it you're here to see Marinette?"

She nodded silently; a delicate pink still residing in her cheeks, as she hung awkwardly in the doorway, while Adrien began to wake up Marinette- who was still asleep on the sofa.

"Good morning. Sorry, I should get going- and you have some company." Marinette rubbed her eyes against the harsh sunlight before she sat up with a large stretch, "Morning, No problem, I hung your shirt on my bedroom door- see you at work."

Adrien fetched his coat and keys, ignoring the raised eyebrows from Marinette's friend as he pecked Marinette on the cheek and waved goodbye before leaving them alone.

When he had gone, Marinette grinned widely to herself while she waited for Alya's onslaught of questions- she didn't have to wait long. As soon as Marinette silently begun to pick up her work that had fallen onto the floor, Alya's hands came up to her hips accusingly, "uh- wow! Who the hell is that?! Fran has been texting me nonstop because she said you weren't picking up- no wonder! You had a sleep over with Mr tall, blonde and fucking sexy!?"

Reading the signs of an impending girl talk from Alya, Marinette turned the kettle on and opened the coffee jar with a small yawn, "it's a long story Alya… I take it you don't recognise him?"

Alya shook her head in disbelief as she slammed her hand onto the counter besides Marinette, "definitely not! I would definitely recognise that piece of ass!" Failing to stifle her snigger, Marinette grinned over the top of her coffee cup, "well…that 'piece of ass' was actually Adrien Agreste!"

It was with amusement that Marinette watched the cup slip from Alya's hands "Adrien?! Adrien Agreste?! OKAY wowee… I need details!" She followed Marinette into her room so that she could hastily change for work, "later Alya, I'm horrendously late and I've already left one of the meetings early as it is- I can't miss another one!" Pecking Alya's cheek before she shoved her arm into the sleeve of her coat, Marinette rushed to the door and shouted over her shoulder, "let yourself out after you clean up your mess okay? I promise you will have your scoop later- we can have a girl's movie night!"

Thankfully, Marinette was relieved to receive the news that the days meeting had been cancelled due to technical faults. They had been told they were welcome to stay for business mingling and refreshments- however this did not appeal to Marinette. She was tired beyond belief and needed some time to get her head around last night's events!

It wasn't unusual for her to fall asleep on her work though she hadn't expected to fall asleep on Adrien. His deep breathing against her neck had made her realise he had fallen asleep and in his slumber, his arms had enclosed her within them- it had been so amazing and comfortable to be snuggled in his warm embrace, she too fell asleep.

From this though, she had slept soundly- reminding her body just how much sleep it had managed to endure without. When she approached her car ready to head home, Adrien was there waiting for her, "hi...erm, I'm sorry! I didn't mean to fall asleep last night!" Marinette shrugged her shoulders with a shy smile, "its ok- I'm sorry for falling asleep on you too."

Adrien held his hands up with a slight grin, "hey, don't apologise for that! By the way, are you busy later? I'd like to treat you to dinner at my place, just to return the favour for your company last night, it would be nice to have some company in my dusty old place."

Marinette wanted nothing more than to go and have dinner with Adrien, but knowing that she had already made other plans she sighed regretfully, "actually…I am supposed to have a girl's night with Alya."

Standing in a short and awkward silence, Adrien shrugged his shoulders with an excited smile emerging, "bring her along- does she have a significant other she can bring along too? We can have a double-date-movie-pizza- night!"

Nodding with enthusiasm as she climbed into her car, Marinette already had her phone out to call Alya, "That does sound like fun! I'll ask her if she wants to bring Nino, what time?"

Adrien leaned into her ears with excitement as he whispered, "as fast as you can!" His hand held onto hers firmly while he placed a gentle kiss on her knuckles and once he pulled his hand back, there was a scrap piece of paper in her hand- his phone number.

"See you later, Marinette."
