Charlie wordlessly stared at the screen of her phone. There were three missed phone calls and two voicemails from the same person. The young manager brushed her brown hair aside and stuffed her phone into her pocket.

"Ugh… What am I going to say to him…?" Charlie groaned. "He wants to know about Mike but I tell him about Mike or if Mike talks to him then we'll be out of a night guard."

She scratched the back of her head as she sighed. "But at the same time, I can't keep avoiding him. I just got to suck it up and talk to him."

As if on cue, her phone rang again.

I did this to myself. Shaking her head in disbelief, Charlie pulled her phone back out of her pocket and answered it. "Hey, Dad."

"Charlie. You're a tough employee to get a hold of," her father's bored, unemotional voice response greatly clashed with her casual, slightly dreadful response.

"Yeah, well, nepotism and all that… Anyway, what's up?"

"I heard that there's a new night guard and you weren't just paying yourself again."

"Hey, I was a good night guard. I deserved extra pay."

"So, what's our new night guard like? All I heard was that he's cute and may have lost an arm."

"No, he still he still has both arms and everyone likes him. I'd let you talk to him, but he's not the type to talk about himself."

"Hm... Fine. I got to let you go now and get back to work."

"Alright, talk to you later, dad."

With those parting words, the call ended. A tired sigh flew through her pursed lips and she begun aimlessly wandering the building. She was relieved that the conversation was short but at the same time that also saddened her.

Charlie sighed once more until suddenly running into a something that felt strong, but not soft like the girls. Forced out of her trance, she looked up to discover she had run into Mike. "Mike?! What are you doing here?"

"It is time for my shift," Mike replied, trying his best not to come off as sarcastic. "Oh, and evening Charlie."

"Hey, Mike."

"Is there something wrong? You seem a little unbalanced tonight."

"Yeah, well talking to fathers can be like that sometimes."

"I get it…"

A brief silence spliced their way into the conversation. As both tried to find a way to continue the conversation, Charlie suddenly remembered a shocking fact she heard earlier. "By the way, I heard Mangle hugged you last night?"

"Yes."

"Mangle hugged you?"

"Yes."

"Hugged you, hugged you?"

"Yes."

"And it wasn't anyone else. I mean everyone here is pretty hug happy."

"No, it was Mangle."

"Wow…"

Any negative feelings Charlie had were swept aside by that confirmation. "How'd you do that?"

"I guess I tried my hardest to help her. She also had helped from the others."

Still, if he got Mangle to hug him then maybe… The young manager brushed her hair away from her eyes, the strands lightly brushing against Mike's face. "Huh?"

Snapping out of her contemplative trance, Charlie was finally able to notice how close their bodies were. She quickly took a step back and shot him a curious look. "You're starting to get a little used to working here, huh?"

Mike simply shrugged in response.

"Well, you know how to cheer a person up either way," Charlie chuckled.

"I have that unintentional effect," he replied.

And yet, he's still more emotional then my father. She crossed her arms and began her mental comparison chart. Not to mention Mike's more okay with being kept in the dark…Speaking of which…

Charlie looked Mike in the eye and smiled. "Heard you also got some stuff for Spring-Bonnie and Fredbear."

"Just some things to make their day go by faster."

"That's pretty considerate to use some of your pay for them."

"I guess."

"Mike, can I be honest with you?"

"Yes."

"You seemed more emotional when you first applied."

"I was in the middle of financial ruin and then found out the girls are alive."

"Yeah, makes sense. Being surrounded by anime girls do bring out the emotions in almost anyone."

"Well, it's not like I'm trying to be emotionless if that's what your getting at."

"No, I get it. It's that individuality that makes us individual."

"Right."

Silence once again injected itself into their conversation.

"Charlie, can I be honest with you?"

"Yeah."

"You seem pretty unbalanced."

"Yeah, I know. Marionette will probably say that I'm continuing this conversation as a desperate way to try and avoid my issues."

"You've recently talked to your father?"

"Yeah, asked about you. Told him you were doing a good job. Hopefully that puts you off his radar for a while."

"I appreciate that."

"Yeah… What are bosses for if they don't look out for their employees?"

Another third noticeable silence appeared in their conversation.

"Charlie…"

"Yeah?"

"Perhaps, it would be best if you go home now. It would do you go to just get away and get your mind on other things.

"Yeah, you're right." Charlie smiled and waved goodbye as she walked past him. "Have a good shift, Mike."

"Right," Mike nodded his head and continued his journey to the office.

Fredbear intensely stared at the floor of her closet home.

"Wow, you should see how thin these bikinis are, Fredbear."

The golden bear wordlessly looked up. Sitting on a beanbag chair a few feet away from her with a magazine in hand was her partner: Spring-Bonnie.

"You're a naked highly advanced robotic being in the form of an anthropomorphic bunny," Fredbear pointed out.

"I'm wearing undergarments and I have a doll's anatomy up top," Spring-Bonnie argued as she drew her chest. "Except anime-sized voluptuous."

The golden rabbit suddenly went silent as she glanced down at her chest. She slowly caressed her breasts then stretched her arms out as far as she could. "I thought something was off. Is Night Guard here yet?"

"Yes."

"Hmm… Okay."

The golden rabbit licked her pointer finger and slowly turned to the next page. "Wow…"

"You're not going to rush off to him?"

"No, I don't feel like it right now… Hey, why don't you go say hi for me?"

"No."

"Come on!" Spring-Bonnie whined. "It'll be good for you!"

Fredbear remained silent.

"You could at least use the beanbag chair he got for you."

The withered bear snuck a brief glance at the unused bean bag chair then turned towards the storage closet door.

"…Okay, I get it," Spring-Bonnie dropped the magazine she was reading, crawled to a nearby vent grate and slid it out of the way. Why do I keep putting this back?

She soon slipped inside before sticking her head back into the Storage Closet. "You sure you don't want to say hi?"

Fredbear silently turned towards her fellow golden partner.

"Okay…" Spring-Bonnie muttered, slinking back into the vent.

Mike absentmindedly stared at the screen of his computer monitor.

"Hey, Night Guard," Chica rolled into the office in a pair skates. Curiosity welled up in Mike as he took note of her attire. Instead of the usual bib covering her ample breasts and undergarments, she was instead wearing an outfit similar to what waitresses wore in the 1950s.

An intoxicating scent wafted through the air. It was the smell of something that came out of the oven; the familiar smell of hot bread and cheese. Chica rolled closer to his desk and opened a thin white box in front of him, revealing an entire pizza.

"Warmed up some leftovers for you," she smiled as she brought it closer to his face.

"Ah… Thank you, Chica."

Mike accepted the gift presented to him. As he reached for a slice, the animatronic girl casually rolled over to the other side of the desk.

"So, what were you just doing, Night Guard?"

"I just finished checking the outside cameras. Um…" Mike took a second look at the outfit the yellow animatronic wore. "Was there some sort of theme today?"

"Yep," Chica twirled around, making sure he caught a glimpse of every inch of her outfit. "It was retro restaurant day. I got to roll around in skates while serving pizza all day."

She then bent forward, bringing attention to her bib that read: "Let's Eat!"

"I also got to wear the other side of my bib for the first time in a while."

"You wear a double-sided bib?"

"Mm-hmm," Chica lifted her bib up to reveal words Mike was more familiar with: Let's Party.

"Huh."

The animatronic chicken then daintily sat on top of Mike's desk and grabbed a slice of pizza. Raising it towards her face, Chica noticed a curiosity in the night guard's eyes as they followed her movements.

She simply giggled before taking her first bite.

"When the working day is done, Oh girls, they wanna have fun," Bonnie soon rolled into the office, energetically strumming away at her guitar. "Oh, girls just wanna have fun."

"She's been singing that since closing," Chica explained to Mike.

"It's not every day I get full lead on a performance and it was really fun," Bonnie happily retorted. "Wish you could have been there, Night Guard."

"I'm sure it was a great performance," Mike assured her.

"Whoo!" BB let out a happy cry as she rolled into the room, before crashing into a nearby wall.

The rambunctious animatronic quickly freed herself from the human shaped hole in the wall and fell back into Bonnie's arms.

"What a rush!" she laughed.

"BB you were involved in the retro diner show too?" Mike asked.

"Huh? No," BB shook her head. "I just wanted to roll around in my skates."

"Good thing the security features weren't on," Bonnie noted. "That would have really hurt."

"Security features?" Mike queried.

"Oh, um… That's usually something we were told not to mention on the first night."

The blue rabbit skated to the other side of the desk. "But I don't think Charlie would mind if we talk about it now. For example, did you know that the vents have doors that can be activated to stop intruders from getting any further?"

Bonnie tapped a button on the keyboard.

"Oow!"

Surprised by the sudden cry of pain, Bonnie quickly pressed the button again. Soon, the four heard bumps in the wall until Spring-Bonnie crawled out of the left vent. Tears filled her eyes as she rubbed her forehead.

"Who was messing with the vent blocks?" she asked.

"Sorry, Spring-Bonnie," Bonnie apologized. "I was just teaching Night Guard how security works."

"Auu… I was just minding my own business and suddenly ran into something that came out of nowhere…" Spring-Bonnie directed her gaze to Mike. "I think I need a hug."

"Okay," Chica rolled over to the golden animatronic and drew her into a tight embrace. "It's okay, Sping Bon-Bon.

Though not the result she was hoping for, Spring-Bonnie couldn't help but laugh as Chica gently patted her head.

"Now that I think about it, maybe I shouldn't try to have a rollerblading party after the roller-skating retro diner," BB skated towards Mike's desk and asked him. "What do you think Night Guard? If you enjoyed a retro diner with skating waiters, would you be disappointed to have a rollerblading birthday party."

"I'm probably not the best person to ask this question," Mike replied.

"Why not? Never had similar themes disconjuction before your birthday parties?"

"Not really. I never really had a birthday party."

"Wha…?" BB's mouth was left agape after hearing such horrifying words.

After remaining as still as a statue for three minutes, BB slowly skated out of the room, her eyes glued on Mike until she was gone.

"Did I say something wrong?" he wondered aloud.

BB silently skated back into the room, grabbed Bonnie and Chica and pulled them out of the room.

Mike and Spring-Bonnie exchange perplexed glances.

"Guess, I'll meet her half way," with a casual shrug, the golden animatronic strolled to the middle of the room.

She extended her left arm out as BB wordlessly returned to the office. As she's pulled out of the office, a big smile crossed Spring-Bonnie's face and she waved her free hand. "Bye, Night Guard."

The Fazbear gang (sans Fredbear) watched BB march back and forth in front of them. Atop her head was an army helmet with the words "Birthday Fun!" scrawled on top.

After continuing her dramatic march for another two minutes, BB stopped in place and turned to the others. Wearing a serious expression on her face slightly unnerved them.

"Ladies, I have just learned some horrifying news. Our Night Guard has had the misfortune of never having a birthday party!"

Silence was the only response to her announcement.

"Um, guys…?"

"…He never had a birthday party?" Mangle queried.

"Our mate never had a party to celebrate the date of conception?" Foxy exclaimed.

"I think you mean birth, Foxy," Freddy corrected.

"What's the difference?"

"Guys…! Don't you get it, this is why he's so emotionally guarded," BB pointed out.

Freddy silently glanced at Marionette.

"I may have used those words to describe him," Marionette replied.

"If we give him the party he never had, then he'll be a lot more not emotionally guarded," BB continued.

"A less emotionally guarded Night Guard…?" Spring-Bonnie closed her eyes as she imagined that scenario. A small giggle slipped through her lips before opening her eyes. "…We need to throw him a birthday party."

"That's the spirit!" BB agreed. "Everyone in?"

"Aye, you can always count on Captain Foxy to help a mate in trouble!" Foxy declared.

"You can count on 'Blue Bunny' Bonnie too!" Bonnie said, pumping her fist in the air.

"'Gluttonous Partier' Chica too," Chica added.

"Count 'Puppet Master' Marionette in as well."

"And 'Top-hatted' Freddy."

"Um…" Mangle timidly looked around. "'White Fox' Mangle would like to help too…"

"And last, but definitely not least, 'Voluptuous Golden Closet Dweller," Spring-Bonnie."

"All following under the lead, of 'General of Fun', Captain Balloon Babe! Time for commence: Operation: Impromptu Night Birthday Party!" BB cheered, extending her hand towards the others. "Hands in."

The girls all piled their hands on top of each other.

"Alright! Let's get to work!" BB pulled a pointer from under her helmet slammed it on a nearby table, snapping it in half. "My pointer…"

The childlike animatronic violently shook her head and turned her attention, "Chica, we need cake!"

"Yes, Captain General!" she saluted her leader and took off for the kitchen.

"Foxy, you decorate the bottom half of the room and Marionette you take the top half," BB instructed.

"Aye!" with a determined grin, Foxy dashed out of the room.

"You can count on us," Marionette assured her before cart wheeling out of the room.

BB turned her attention to Freddy and Bonnie, "Freddy, Bonnie you're working entertainment."

"We're on it!" they replied in unison.

BB glanced at Spring-Bonnie. "Spring Bon-Bon, see if you can get Fredbear to come along."

"Naturally, I get the hardest task," the golden rabbit nonchalantly flipped her hair and sauntered out of the room.

"And Mangle…" BB stared intensely at the white fox, sending shivers up her spine. The balloon blowing animatronic plopped down, wrapped her arm around Mangle and pulled her close. "…Is it true that you hugged the Night Guard last night?"

"Well, yes… But what does that have to do with the party?"

"Nothing, I just wanted to know. Anyway, you have the very important task of distracting him"

"M-Me? But I'm not really the distracting type."

"You're plenty distracting. Night Guard won't be able to focus on anything else if you talk to him."

"Th-That's…"

"Exactly," BB pushed Mangle towards the door and closed it behind her.

"Auu…" Mangle's tail swished from side to side as she journeyed to the security office. How am I going to distract him?

"Mangle?"

The white fox glanced up to find Mike sitting at his desk.

"Oh, hi, Night Guard," she replied.

"What brings you around here?"

"Oh, um… I was just… Um… I guess… I guess I just wanted to say hi."

The quizzical look on Mike's face was worrying, but Mangle had a job to do and for once having the attention on her was a good thing.

"Um…" her tail swished from side to side as she contemplated her next words. "I… I also wanted to thank you for going along with my request last night."

"You don't have to thank me for that. It wasn't an issue to help you."

"Still…" her cheeks grew bright pink as she recalled embracing Mike from behind. Though scary and uncomfortable, it also felt nice. "I still want to thank you and…"

An awkward silence spliced its way into their conversation.

I don't really know what else to say… I hope the others work fast.

The backroom's door flew open before Foxy jumped inside. An eager smile crossed her face as she mentally counted the amount of party supplies available.

"This should be more than enough."

She roared with laughter as she began grabbing anything she could.

"Don't forget to only it's only a party of a handful of people," Marionette reminded Foxy the moment she had arrived.

The robotic pirate wordlessly glanced at the giant pile of supplies in her hand before shrugging.

She then sped out of the room and down the hallway.

Staying behind, Marionette noticed a single party hat on the floor and stretched her right hand towards it. In moments, the hat flew towards her hand.

"Here we go again."

She causally strolled down the hallway Foxy just ran down.

Spring-Bonnie opened the door to the Storage Closet and directed a big smile at Fredbear.

"Hey, Fredbear, want to come to an out of nowhere birthday party for the Night Guard?" she asked in the most optimistic manner she could conjure.

"No," she quickly replied.

The golden rabbit pouted as she wordlessly closed the closet door.

"Um…" Mangle struggled to think of a way to continue their brief conversation. "Night Guard…"

"Yes?"

"Could you try touching me?"

Mike silently stared at Mangle. The day before he would have wondered whether the girls were making coy remarks with innuendos spliced in, but he's come to learn that wasn't the case.

"Okay," he answered.

Mike approached Mangle. Though she was clearly nervous and visibly shaking, she still stood straight in front of him.

"A high-five?" he suggested.

"Okay."

The two raised their hands in unison and slowly pushed them towards each other. The moment they were close to touching, Mangle instantly retracted her hand to her side.

"It's still really hard…" she lamented.

"Well, I don't think it's something like this can go away so easily," Mike replied in the most comforting tone he could muster.

He wasn't really sure if he got it right though.

"But I was able to do it last night," Mangle said.

"Well, how were you feeling when you hugged me last night?"

"I was feeling…"

Mangle closed her eyes as she recalled the rush of emotions she felt the night before. She felt happy to be complimented, relieved that Mike held no ill will towards her for fearing him and ultimately touched by his attempt to console her.

All those together… It was as if a sense of gratitude briefly overpowered her fears. But even recalling those feelings didn't make it any easier today.

"I don't think that's going to help…" Mangle finally replied.

"I see…" Mike simply nodded his head begun walking back to his desk.

"Oh!"

He stopped in his tracks and turned back to Mangle.

"Uhm…" The fox's cheeks grew bright red as she desperately tried to find something to say that would keep him away from his station. "Hugging you was nice!"

"Huh?"

Realizing what she just said, Mangle could only stare at Mike in horror. She didn't know why she said that nor did she realize she even felt about it that way.

But those questions were quickly swept away by an unyielding urge to run away. So she did.

Mike said nothing as he walked back to his desk. She may want some time alone.

Foxy sped across the main dining area, decorating the tables with the various party supplies she pillaged from the backroom.

"Finished!" a proud smile filled Foxy's face as she admired the results of her work. She then looked up and asked, "How about you, Marionette?"

Marionette continued traversing the ceiling above her, placing the final streamer in its designated spot.
"Done."

She flipped her way back to the ground just as Spring-Bonnie walked in.

"She said no," she announced, still sporting the same pout she gave her partner.

"Aw…" BB whined. "Oh well, it's not like we can force her…"

Shortly after, Mangle walked into the room. Her tail swayed from side to side as she nervously approached BB. "I distracted him for as long as I could."

"Your efforts were not in vain, Private. We're almost done," BB assured her. "We got entertainment, decorations, ice cream on pizza. All the essentials."

"What about presents?" Mangle asked.

BB's entire body froze in place. "Presents…?"

The girls covered their ears as they watched BB's body convulse in place. "I FORGOT THE PRESENTS!"

The human-looking animatronic sped out of the room like a mad-man, leaving her friends behind.

"Sorry…" Mangle weakly apologized.

The girls stood in middle of the Prize Corner. Not a word was said as they gazed at the prizes sprawled around the room.

"I don't think any of these will really appeal to him…" Freddy noted.

"Maybe we could come up with our own kind of present," Bonnie suggested.

"I got it!" Spring-Bonnie announced. "We'll get the fake cake from the backroom, then I'll pop out and surprise him."

"And afterwards you invade his personal space?" Freddy replied.

"Hug."

"Spring-Bonnie, that's not a birthday gift. That's a bachelor party gift."

"What's the difference?"

Freddy rested her face in the palm of her right hand and shook her head.

"Aye, I suggest we instead fill one of my cannons with confetti and shower the Night Guard," Foxy excitedly suggested.

"I don't know Foxy… I've seen how that turns out on TV. Usually ends with the recipient being blown away with confetti with in their eyes," Bonnie replied.

Foxy scratched the back of her head with her hook. "Sunglasses?"

"Sunglasses aren't going to make him feel special," BB vetoed. "We need something… Something that he would really like."

"Well, it's not like we can just go to the nearest store to look for something," Spring-Bonnie pouted as she tugged on her withered ears.

"Even if we could, would we even know what to get for him?" Freddy replied.

"There's only one thing to do then…" BB dramatically pointed to the entrance. "To the war table!"

Several hours later…

BB circled the perimeter of the main dining area. The others watched her from a single table filled with scattered papers and blueprints.

"You know, if Fredbear was here, this wouldn't be a problem," Spring-Bonnie said.

BB turned towards the golden rabbit and opened her mouth-

"She'd say no," Spring-Bonnie replied before she had the chance to ask.

"Ugh…" Feeling despair sinking in, BB violently shook her head and loudly declared, "No. I will not quit until he gets a birthday gift that makes him feel special!" BB declared.

"Make who feel special?"

Surprised, BB turned around to find Mike and Charlie standing behind her.

"Wait, the night's over already?" BB gasped.

"Yep," Charlie nodded.

"Have you finished your party yet?" Mike asked.

"You knew about the party?" Bonnie marveled.

"I caught a glimpse of the decorations from the cameras," Mike explained.

"Noooo…" soul-crushing disappointment hit BB all at once. As if to emphasize her disappointment, she fell on her back with a loud "thud" ringing throughout the room. "I messed up."

"Messed up what, BB?" Charlie questioned.

BB glanced up at Mike. "The party was for you."

"Me?"

"Yeah, it was supposed to be the birthday party you never had."

"I see…"

"But we couldn't find a gift to make to complete the overall special feeling."

"I see…"

"And then you two walked in wondering what's going on."

"I see…" Charlie replied in a monotone voice.

Mike curiously glanced at his employer.

She playfully shrugged and replied with, "Like you weren't going to say that."

Lacking a proper response, Mike turned back to BB. "You know, it's not even my birthday."

BB's eyes widened with shock as she finally realized a major flaw with her party plan. She didn't consider whether or not it was Mike's birthday or not.

"Oh," she replied.

"So, there's always the actual date," Mike said.

Realizing what he was hinting, BB's eyes sparkled with excitement as she jumped back on her feet. "Yeah! I'll definitely make sure your actual special day is a special day!"

Mike nodded his head and turned towards the others. "Until my next shift."

He then took his leave. For once, he was sure that he wouldn't need any rest when he got home. After all, from his point of view, it was a pretty uneventful night.

"Guess, I should get started prepping to plan for Night Guard's Birthday Party," BB giggled.

"'After I finish planning for today's birthday party'," Charlie said.

"After I fi-!" BB immediately froze in place. "I FORGOT TO CHOOSE A THEME!"

With no time to waste, the human-looking animatronic girl rushed out of the room.
