Hello, again.

The wordplay in the title pretty much says it all.

I don't own Yugioh GX or Fairy Tail.

Rhode to Magic

Soon enough, it was time for Alexis' match against Jaden. While Bella knew about their previous match towards the beginning of the year, they were both using different decks this time, so she was interested to see just who would win this time.

Of course, she also knew that Jaden had at least a slight advantage over Alexis, thanks to the match a little bit ago. So just how is Alexis going to level the field if she can?

Her attention was diverted by her phone going off, indicating a call from Pegasus. "Sorry, guys. Pegasus wants something."

After she accepted, she didn't get the chance to say anything before Pegasus told her. "Sorry, but you're the fastest path to her. Domino Bank is being robbed, and Ms. Rhodes mother is one of the hostages."

He hung up, but she didn't concern herself as she turned to Alexis. "Your mother's being held hostage by bank robbers. Domino Bank."

"WHAT?!" The girl cried, completely overshadowing the others' shouts, except for Jaden who had ran over to the teachers to explain the situation.

"I'll make sure she's safe." Bella said, just as Jaden came back with news.

"While it does mean she has to forfeit, the teachers are willing to let Alexis so that she can be assured in person that her mother is alright instead of having to wait here for news." Jaden told them. "All of them agree that she won't be in any condition to duel thanks to this."

"He's got a point." Mavis said. "Also, I think this might be what is needed to unlock Alexis' magic. At least thanks to the aura I'm sensing building up from her."

Bella flipped up her eye-patch long enough to notice what Mavis was talking about, then turned to Jaden. "Think you can give her a ride? Last guy I took hurled for near ten minutes."

"And was heaving for twenty afterwards." Mavis reminded her, getting Jaden's eyes to widen.

"Fair enough." he said as they moved outside. He then held up a card. "Open! Gate of the Heroes! Burstinatrix!"

Said Duel Monster materialized in the real world and blinked in confusion. "Wha-?"

"No time, Burstinatrix." Jaden told her. "Grab Alexis and get her over to Domino City Bank, and hurry!"

"Right." She answered a bit stoically, then proceeded to do so as Bella added "I'll lead the way."

Both Monster and human were bewildered by the experience, but didn't let it stop them from focusing on the current issue, let alone stop them from keeping an eye on Bella as she sped over the water towards Domino City.

Though the feeling of the wind certainly helped with Alexis' focus, lowering her anxiety at just how free she felt, while upping her determination to help make sure her family can feel at least similar enough. She subconsciously noticed something building within her as they flew, but didn't register it fully until they arrived at the bank.

Burstinatrix landed near Bella, to the shock of the people and cops outside the building. "How's things looking in there?"

When she didn't get an answer, Bella slapped a cop upside the head. "Hey, dumbass, how's things looking in there? You can perv over Duel Monster ass later."

Said cop had to be saved by another who sighed lightly. "Typical robbery, Soul-Lock, until you get to the military-grade weapons they somehow have. No idea how they got their hands on them."

Alexis started breathing heavier as Bella turned to Burstinatrix. "Think you can launch a heat wave at them to deal with the weapons, or do you not have enough energy left for it?"

"I think it would probably be best to hold back." Was the somewhat hesitant reply. "I'm still unsure as to how I'm in the human world right now, even with knowing about Earthland."

Alexis, however, stepped forward. "I'll help."

"Without any kind of power?" Bella asked, only to be lightly surprised by the girl's vehemence.

"My mother's in there, so don't think I'm gonna just stay on the sidelines as my family is in trouble, dammit! I'll just stick to helping get the hostages to safety if I have to, but I will help!"

Bella could practically feel the magic in the girl, which she managed to recognize. "Then prove it by accessing your magic, or are you too pathetic to do anything?"

That did the trick, seeing as Alexis' rage opened the floodgates, causing a silvery-purple magic circle to pass over the girl, much to the surprise of the crowd and Burstinatrix.

When the light show was over, Alexis now had longer, brownish hair, a red eye mask and form-fitting boots, with a silver-and-red bodysuit (with attached gloves) that left the top halves of her arms and everything between her shoulders bare, silver frills around her waist, and a silver ribbon trailing around both of her arms and behind her back.

"Etoile Cyber?" Burstinatrix asked in wonder, only for Bella to answer "Take Over: Etoile Cyber, actually. She's taken on the Duel Monster's powers."

She then held Alexis' face. "Now you have the way, but do you have the will?"

About two seconds later, Alexis nodded, getting Bella to say "Focus on the hostages while I handle the morons. This is still the first time you used your magic after all."

Bella then sped inside, instantly getting shouts from the gunmen as Alexis followed and moved over to where the hostages were, easily seeing her mother.

"While she's dealing with them, we need to get you out of here. Now." She told them, helped along by one of the robbers being thrown near them. Unfortunately, said robber wasn't down yet, and noticed them moving. "Oh no, you don't!"

When he aimed at them, Alexis' body reacted on it's own. Or rather, the ribbon did, as it flew and grabbed the gun, sending it tumbling away from the surprise of the action. "What the?"

The girl looked at the ribbon as it returned, only to smirk and lash out, this time willing the ribbon to wrap around the man. She grunted as she pulled to the side, throwing the man into another before crashing into a desk.

Her attention was diverted by Bella's whistle. "Nice one. Reaction time could use some work, but that comes with experience. You done good for your first time."

"Thanks." She looked down at herself. "Any idea how to turn back?"

"Just focus on yourself." Bella answered. "Mira, Elfman, and Lisanna use the same trick to return to normal."

Of course, Alexis turned back just as the cops came in and started taking the robbers away. The one from before came up to them. "Thanks for the help, but I thought you didn't want your powers to get out?"

Bella smirked as she strolled past him. "She doesn't have my powers."

Placing a hand on Alexis' shoulder, she walked out. "Now if you'll excuse us, we should get back to Duel Academy. A little shindig is set to go down there, and they'll be needing all the fighters they can get for it."

After a few minutes of meeting with Ms. Rhodes, the pair were on their way back to the school.

"...We're still trying to determine how this is possible, but one thing is for sure: it is always nice to see those with power helping those without."

That was the last thing the teachers and Zane heard before the news was before Sheppard turned it off and addressed them. "Any thoughts?"

Zane was the first to speak. "As long as we don't write the information down in any easy manner, I don't think we have too much to worry about in regards to this getting to the wrong hands. Soul-Lock mentioned that her's is Take Over, like Syrus'. And as shown, they don't quite follow the same skillsets as their Duel Monster counterparts. Too many variables."

"Indeed." Banner said, albeit a bit stoic. "The power of Fairy Tail, and the magic they bring, is truly something to behold."

"And it's currently only accessible to their teacher, and the one person in the world who won't bend to anyone without good reason for it." Crowler added.

Fontaine, however, sighed. "Even still, I would've appreciated it if both Mr. Yuki and Ms. Rhodes didn't exhaust themselves to the point of being in the infirmary. Even for just a few hours."

"That just comes with time and studied patience, like all things." Banner replied. Like all things...

Not much, I know, but this was much easier to do then another duel (you have no idea how long its taking to get a semi-proper duel in my head). Also, Bella took care of most of the fight, so Alexis didn't have much to deal with until the exhaustion kicked in upon returning to the Academy.

Also, as Zane stated, it isn't like Take Over is easy to figure out. Sure, the idea is simple, but with something as diverse as Duel Monsters, it's like someone combined a Zoroark with a Ditto and gave it a Stark-level brain in regards to it's powers. How can you be sure of what you're up against without surviving multiple fights against it?

Until next time. Please let me know what you think.
