Hello, again.
The whole thing with Banner was a little spontaneous, but I think I can make it work some when the time comes.
I don't own Yugioh GX or Fairy Tail.
Gravekeepers Vs. Fairies...more like idiots versus human bombs
It had been a while since Chazz had returned to Duel Academy, but not all that much had actually happened.
He moved into Slifer, found out the Fairies (truly this time), and found out about magic (though he did decline joining them).
But otherwise, it was rather peaceful.
Just the way Mavis liked it.
While she is okay with the idea of fun, the girl always did like nature without trouble brewing, ever since...
She was distracted from her thoughts when she returned to Slifer Dorm, only to notice Banner's door open and Syrus near it, clearly eavesdropping. What are you up to, Syrus?
"...you're not listening to me." She heard Banner speak when she got close enough, "Isabella and the Fairies are not people to trifle with."
"And you are overestimating them. Isabella isn't a duelist like the rest of us, after all. It shall be her tomb." Another voice spoke, modulated for secrecy.
Mavis narrowed her eyes, but chose silence for the moment. I need more information. I can't bring it up with just this. Not yet.

Her first clue came the next day in class, when Banner announced a field trip of sorts. "Since when are field trips as completely optional as this one?"
Bella and Jaden both looked at her, having heard her, but only Bella noticed something else. "You think there is more to this trip than meet the ear?"
"Yes." Mavis nodded, "I had noticed Syrus last night peeking into Banner's room, only to overhear him talking with someone on his computer, though the voice was modulated. With the fact that Banner was talking with the other person about underestimating us, we're going to need to be careful."
"So basically, either tell them to piss off by not going, or spring the trap by going. That about sums it up at the moment?" When Mavis nodded, Bella shrugged, "Then it's simple. Stakeout the most likely intended site and figure out what could be there."
"I'll get the Exceeds to help until after classes are done. Then you can join us." Mavis stated before walking off.
Jaden glanced at Bella. "This type of thing happened before."
"In a sense." Bella shrugged. "Some stupid fuckers thought I was more of a stupid bitch of a fluke or not in the area. They got their asses kicked. But with how a few things have gone since we got here, I think this time will be different."
It barely took until the end of classes before news came back with Carla. "The sight is apparently a portal to somewhere we do not know of. It's very concerning."
"Show me."
Bella followed Carla to the other Exceeds and Mavis, who were looking over a ruins of sorts.
Exposing her left eye, she joined them in silence for about a minute, only to blink. "That's interesting."
"Found something?" Mavis asked.
"It seems to have a connection to Duel Monsters and sands, for some reason." Bella said, "Only thing I can think of is Gravekeeper's, as they are directly connected to Egyptian tomb protectors."
"It's a bit of a stretch, but it makes sense." Mavis admitted, only for all five to suddenly feel it start building energy. "It's powering up!"
"Shit!" Bella quickly tried to stop it by breaking the ruins into rubble, only for a bolt of lightning to get in the way. "Fine then. Run!"
They didn't make it before the energy was unleashed.

Bella groaned lightly as she woke up, only to snap awake when she felt sand. She jumped up, only to notice one other thing. "Uh, guys-wait, shit! Juvia!"
Fairy Tail was out of their cards.
Moving over to Juvia, Bella picked the clearly weakened girl and moved her over to Gray. "Gray, wake up! Juvia needs ice!"
"Whuh-shit!" Gray quickly obeyed when he noticed what was going on, quickly re-hydrating the girl with frost that quickly melt into water that Juvia absorbed.
Natsu rubbed his head. "Where the hell are we?"
"I don't know, but I do know one thing." Bella pulled out her guns, "Whoever did this is fucking going to regret it."
Gray, despite past events, carried Juvia on his back, knowing that she was easily dead weight in a desert without a source of water. He was better off trying to keep his fellow Fairy alive.
Erza was the first to notice an incomer, and readied her sword. "Who are you, and why did you bring us here?"
The figure pulled their hood down, revealing a woman, and raised her hands. "I am not the one who brought you here, just the one who-"
Bella put a gun in her face. "Then who is? And bear in mind, we're got a lot of people here who can easily decimate towns single-handedly. So if they don't want to lose whatever home they have, they will let us go back."
The woman nodded, a bit fearful. And for good reason, as various weapons and abilities were ready to be used. "Follow me, then."
She quickly led them to a pyramid of sorts, with a pair of spear-wielding guards at the door.
"You will need to speak to the Chief to find the way home. That is all I can say at the moment." the woman told them, then went to address the guards, only to find the guards already down, "What?!"
"When a Fairy is in danger, the rest tend to not give a damn about the rules in the way of stopping them." Bella told her before in to join the rest with a slight grin. That just makes it fun, though.
The veritable mob of mages, Exceeds, and one super-merc were too much for anything in their way, quickly finding themselves facing an irate man who was clearly the aforementioned Chief.
Bella stopped Erza and Natsu from attacking before addressing the man. "If you value yourself, your people, or the pyramid we're in, then I'd suggest you give us the information to get back to where we came from."
"After you so blatantly barged in and attacked us without provocation?!-"
"Provocation?!" Erza yelled, starting to glow from magic anger, "You dare say that about us when it was you that abducted us without provocation first?!"
"I did no such thing, woman!"
"Then this is how it'll play out," Bella turned to the rest, "Chiefy up there is mine, to get whatever info he does have. Otherwise, have fun."
The Fairies grinned at that, including a recovered enough Juvia who was not happy about being in a desert.
The grins unnerved the remaining opposition, only for the unnerving feeling turning into terror as the group attacked with enough raw power to essentially start making the building explode.
Bella, in the meantime, slammed the Chief down onto the ground with strength that surprised the man, jostling a split pendant of a strange design into view.
"Still want to deny everything? Just point us to the door, and we're gone." Bella told him, raising a fist, "Your choice."
The man hesitated for a moment, then conceded when she started moving her fist. "The sunset! Head into the sunset when it happens, and you'll go home! I swear!"
That was loud enough to get the attention of the others, though Bella warned with "It better. Otherwise, it's your head."
She let him go as Markarov called out "Let's move out!"
The Chief momentarily stopped Bella to hand the split pendant to her. "You'll need this in the future, if you want to deal with the people who have your brother."
Her eye widened for a moment before taking it and running off after the others...right into a flash of light.

"OH, COME ON!"
Bella woke up to Natsu's voice and familiar ground, followed shortly by incoming footsteps.
She rubbed her head and looked towards the scattered cards, particularly Natsu. "Be glad we're back, dumbass."
"Back from where?" Jaden asked, arriving first. He grew a bit weary from the ruins, but focused on Bella.
"Best guess, the Duel Monsters realm, particularly the Gravekeeper's territory." Bella grinned for a moment as she held up the pendant, "They were pretty quick to give us the exit when they learned just how Fairy Tail felt about being there. Both the sudden transit, and the risk to Juvia, aka one of there own."
"Makes sense with Juvia at least," Alexis remarked, "she is a water-based mage, so she'll have trouble in a place like a desert."
"Juvia thanks you for your concern and understanding." Juvia nodded at the girl before Bella picked them up and put them away.
Her expression then darkened some as she looked at the pendant, "Their chief...gave me a clue to my brother's whereabouts."
Bastion asked in interest "He did? What did he say?"
Bella looked out towards the water in sight. "If what he said is true, then we need to be ready. We could very see a war of sorts before the year is done."
"And more than likely, your brother will be forced to be one of the fighters." Mavis added.
Bella nodded. "Yeah. But...can I fight him? I've been so long an only child, yet I'm on the cusp of finding blood family..."
Mavis and the Exceeds just simply place a hand/paw on the girl to try and comfort her with their presence.
No of the others really knew what to say in response to that.
While some of you were probably expecting a duel, Juvia having trouble in a desert is actually canon. When she fights Eclipse Ares the Ram, it was in a desert, and only thanks to the water in the vehicle Ares had that she was able to win. Combined with the perceived abduction, and Fairy Tail was not happy in the slightest. And while Gray did have ice, his bouts with Natsu have shown resistance to temperatures on both sides.
As for them coming out of card form in the Duel Monster Realm, they were Duel Monster Cards this time, not playing cards like in Fairy Tail canon. While Mavis didn't quite have a body thanks to her being an actual spirit, the rest were restored because of that.
Until next time. Please let me know what you think.
