He was there again.

The endless drifting stones of Nevermore stretched out further than his sharp eyes could follow, the stone he was on felt familiar, yet the verdant grass that covered it and the flowers blooming around him were a far different sight to the bare rock that he had found Instinct upon last time.

Speaking of, he could not find a trace of Instinct, or any of Raven's emotions. It was just him, on this floating rock in the mind of his girlfriend. Garfield shrugged to himself, and just as he and Cyborg had done so many years ago, he began to walk.

The trees he found along the way were no longer dead and barren, he found on them leaves coloured so many different shades. Many of them were purple, or ink black, but he found trees with leaves of mixed gold and red, of blue and shimmering silver, and of green. So much green.

The red stars above him felt softer somehow, gentler on his skin, the first time he had been here it was an intrusion and he had felt as just that, an intruder. Instinct invited him the second time, and although he was wary, he had not known any sense of temperature or climate. Now it was as though he was returning to a foreign land, but one he had loved visiting, the wind felt warm on his back as it guided him further on.

He came to an unfamiliar corner of Nevermore, a circle of stone seats overgrown with lichen and vines, surrounding a raised dais. Upon the seats were Raven's emotions, some he recognised and others that he did not, intently they listened while the figure on the dais spoke.

"Happy!" Beast Boy called with a laugh. "Good to see you dude!"

The emotions turned to him in varying states of shock, but none more so than Timid (Unsurprising) and Raven. Not Raven's Rage, or her green cloaked Brave, no this Raven wasn't in a cloak at all, but in a camisole and pyjama shorts.

"Garfield?" Raven asked with a confused frown, standing up to hug him. "Why are you here?"
"No idea!" Garfield said with a smile. "I'm getting used to it though."
"Used to it?" Raven held up her hand as he went to reply. "No, wait, I think we should talk about that when I'm awake and meditated."
"Sure." He said easily, sitting down on the stone seat beside Raven's vacated space, patting it invitingly. "What were you guys talking about?"
"You." Anger said accusingly.
"Or more accurately how we can be with you, and not hurt the world around us." Said Knowledge, adjusting her glasses.
Raven (Or "Girlfriend Prime" as Garfield began referring to her as in his mind) looked around at her emotions, then to her boyfriend, and decided that in the absurdity of her life, this may as well happen. She sat down beside Garfield and slouched against him comfortably.
"Right!" Happiness exclaimed, Gar's presence giving her an extra helping of pep. "Like I was saying guys, we should go on a date with Kori and Dick (Rude, Garfield, and Sloth sniggered) so that we can see how they do it! Kori has emotional powers too, so she might help us figure out control around the Child of Darwin!"

Garfield nodded, liking the idea of a double date, but beside him Raven frowned in confusion. "The child of Darwin?"
Happy raised her eyebrows innocently. "Who? I said Beast Boy?"
Raven looked to Knowledge, who nodded. "Kori'andr also understands how our powers work better than the others. If anyone can explain it for us, she can."
"She'll also make a huge deal out of it." Timid groaned. "She'll think it's an advice column in her magazines!"
"Kori isn't like that." Brave denied with a shake of her head. "She loves us too much to take a request for help lightly. Dick also cares too much to let us linger in darkness, he's shown us before."
The emotions fell silent as that truth was digested.

"Why don't we go somewhere private?" Garfield broke the silence, looking to Timid. "How do you like the idea of going to that new Japanese place near the pier? Dang what's it called… "Shihon shugi wa shinu"? If we book a private room and invite Cy and Sarah we won't even need to sneak in, we can just claim it's a team outing."

The emotions immediately began talking among themselves, one with a cloak of dark pink (Passion, Garfield remembered) used the distraction to stand up from her place and walked over to sit on Beast Boy's other side, scooting close to him with a smirk. The Changeling looked to Girlfriend Prime nervously, only to catch her with a hand over her mouth as she tried to stop herself from laughing.
Timid waited for the others to quiet down before answering. "What if Sarah finds out we almost killed her?"
Again, quiet fell over the emotions, but for Brave, who stood and walked over to Timid, placing her hand on the other Raven's shoulder. "Then we apologise, and make it right. Sarah makes our brother happy, we can't afford to lose her."

In unison the clones turned to Raven, the real Raven, who grimaced at the thought of Sarah knowing how her lapse in judgement almost killed the other girl. It was inevitable though, that she gave a decisive nod. "Sarah should know."
"Then we have our answer." Happiness giggled on the dais. "Tomorrow we talk to Kori about dinner with the team."
"She'll love eating Japanese food too." Passion said from Garfield's side. "It'll remind her of when Dick confessed to her."
"We don't exactly hate Japanese food either." Rude said with a belch that Garfield considered impressive. "Sushi and gyoza? Hot damn."
Sloth shifted in her seat layered with cushions and blankets. "You can lay down at Japanese tables, and they just give you saki in the bottle."
"We don't drink." Knowledge reminded Sloth.
"A pity." replied the other emotion with a yawn.
"We aren't old enough yet anyway." Timid squeaked.
"Victor and Richard are." Knowledge pointed out.
"Who's side are you on!" Rage growled.

Garfield followed the bickering with a smile, a tap on his arm drawing his attention to Girlfriend Prime. "Hmm?"
"This isn't weird for you right?" Raven asked curiously.
"Rae, I'm in heaven right now." He assured her. "There are like... a dozen hot chicks here that all seem to really like me for some reason. I mean, I'm sitting here with my smokin' girl on one arm, and her twin on the other, without either of them being angry. This is possibly the best dream I've ever had that appeals to the male fantasy, if I didn't feel like a creepy CEO in a sorority house poisoning the minds of tomorrow's youth it'd be the best dream I've ever had."
"I can appreciate that." Raven admitted. "What's in the number one spot then?"
Garfield sighed wistfully. "My picnic with David Attenborough."

Rae gave a small snort, up on the dais Happy laughed along with her, and Knowledge gave a small chuckle as well. Beast Boy frowned at the three, before piecing it together in his head. "Wait, you're Girlfriend Prime, so the others-"
"Girlfriend Prime?" Raven asked, now laughing in earnest.
Garfield appreciated the sound for a second. "Yes, but Raven, if you're Girlfriend Prime, does that mean all your emotions hear what I'm saying even if I whisper?"
"Yup." Rude snickered, as Timid tried to hide her blush.
Beast Boy groaned and rubbed his face with both hands. "CRAP. Okay, that thing about the sorority-"

Garfield was startled awake by the sound of Raven, the material one, laughing hysterically in her sleep. The girlish delight held him enraptured for the longest time, and as black energy rushed from her in beelines for his electronics, he couldn't help but sit there and smile.

Her laughter was worth more to him than some stupid TV any way.

Or… It would have been.

His ear flicked, and looking up, Beast Boy watched as the lines rushed towards his possessions, things Raven knew he cared for, even if it was in passing, and they just… Turned. They diverted themselves from his TV, and his bookshelf, and his posters. They ran around his room in a frustrated search for relief, as Raven searched for it…

Garfield vaulted from the bed, agile as a back alley tomcat, and opened the door, flicking on the hallway lights. "Sorry Cy." He winced, black energy pulsing from his room and forcing the lights overhead into a powerful and blinding surge, before dimming for a hearbeat.

Two.

Three.

Then the lights flickered back on, and continued their glow.

"Huh." The Changeling murmured, a cunning gleam in his eye. "Would ya look at that."
