THIS FANFIC HAS FINALLY REACHED ITS CONCLUSION AFTER ALL THESE YEARS!

I hope I've done this show justice, Grojband deserved a proper finale and even years later I haven't completely lost hope that we'll see something new one day.

To everyone that's been reading since I started all those years ago, and to the people that have only just found this. Thank you!

I have some ideas of where the characters lives are like after this chapter. For instance Katrina ends up becoming a part time band member, she plays unless she has something else going on and the band understands it. Obviously the established ships end up married when they are adults, although for Katrina, Mina and Nick, who knows how that triangle ends?

I still have other Grojband story ideas, but almost all of them are separate from this continuity. But I'm giving my attention to other fandoms before coming back one day.

FINAL COOL TRANSITION

A week had passed since the Rocklympus incident. It seemed that everyone that was affected by the curse didn't recall any of the events of that day, save for Nick, who was apparently too cool to forget stuff. After the celebration on the mythical mountain, Grojband returned home and spent the week preparing for their show at the coliseum. The Newman's took all the little gigs in town while they prepared for the big gig, and they needed the extra practice with a new member of the band.

Katrina had been grounded by Mr. Riffin for what she had done, though relented and let her continue working with the band at Corey's pleading. The bluenette wasn't grounded like his sister, but since he was the one that took her diary, he agreed to do all of Katrina's chores for the month. Before they had realized it the day of their concert finally arrived, and the band was thrilled to see the massive crowd at the stadium, their groupies had done a good job of advertising for them.

Grojband's new tambourine player and dual vocalist peaked through the curtains backstage. Corey had warned her that her first gig with the band was a big one, and the pressure was overwhelming. Katrina had changed her outfit, wearing a new attire for a new her; she had a pink shirt with a red heart in the center, with longer white sleeves coming from underneath and reaching down to her wrists. Her purple skirt was swapped with a white one, along with purple mary-jane shoes and pink and purple striped tights.

"Katrina!" the teen perked up when she heard her name. She turned just in time for her BFF to wrap her arms around her in a big hug. "Mina! You made it!" Katrina did something Trina would never have done. She hugged her back. Upon returning to Peaceville, the first thing Katrina had done was find her bestie and tearfully apologize for how she had treated her. She'd been expecting Mina to not want anything to do with her after the stunt she pulled, and she thought that was the case when the teal-haired teen had started crying. Not tears of sadness, tears of joy. Her best friend had finally come back to her senses and returned to her. Mina forgave her, and Katrina was not going to take this second chance for granted.

"I'd never miss your first concert!" Mina reassured her before releasing her embrace, a slight blush on both of their faces. "How're you feeling?" "Oh you know, like all super-confident and totes not nervous and junk." The demigoddess did not sound super-confident, despite what she had said. She had a hard time saying it, but Mina knew her well enough to know what she really meant. "You'll do great out there." Mina encouraged her. She'd heard her practice with the band and honestly had forgotten how good a singer her bestie was.

"Thanks." Katrina smiled softly. "For everything, Mina."

Her companion blushed, flustered by the appreciation. "O-oh it's alright… hey, since you're back to going by Katrina, do you think I can go back to my real name?" She hadn't brought up wanting to go by Bernadette again. She'd been waiting for the right time. Unfortunately for her, Katrina didn't answer as someone else walked towards them. "Katrina Riffin, Nick Mallory thinks it's cool you're part of Grojband now."

Upon seeing Nick, tiny pink hearts fluttered over Katrina and she zoomed over to him, accidentally knocking Mina over in her hurry. "Really?! Cause I am like, so happy to be in the band!" The bespectacled girl had lost her bestie's focus, but wasn't too upset. "Some things never change." Bernadette fondly rolled her eyes.

Elsewhere backstage, Kin and Kon were sitting with their Newman counterparts, Kim and Konnie. They hardly had time to hang out this past week, and the girls had wanted all the details about what happened in Rocklympus. "-and then his guitar changed into the guitar-sword! The same one you guys saw! Katrina's tambourine changed into a 'saber-ine' too!" Kin recapped, pointing to the artist rendering that Kon was holding up. The drummer had drawn out the important parts of what went down. He was an oddly good artist, although he had drawn everything like an old shoujo manga.

"Wicked!" Konnie's eyes sparkled in awe. She and Kim had seen the first time Corey had summoned his rock-weapon and it had been a glorious sight. She and her sister could only imagine how awesome it had looked when they beat the Stars. Fortunately Kon's art captured the moment quite well. "You know, honestly, those two being demigods explains so much. Normal people don't shoot lightning and glow when they sing." Kim noted, remembering the same incident as Konnie.

"I know! It was insane!" Kon flipped the page, showing a nicely drawn sketch of the band blowing up the two stars "Corey was all zappy and-" the drummer made what was supposed to sound like a guitar chord "-and then Katrina was dancing around and shooting fire that wasn't aimed at us! THERE WAS A BEAM OF PURE MUSIC THAT YOU COULD HAVE SEEN FROM SPACE!"

Grojband's keyboardist flipped to the next page. Unlike the rest it had been drawn with stick figures depicting the band and the Rock Gods. "I drew this page!" Kin proudly patted the paper. His pride fell when he took a closer look at his art and flipped the previous page drawn by Kon back and forth a few times as he noticed the severe drop in quality. "Aww, I worked five minutes on this." Kin grumbled.

"Forget your terrible art!" Kim held her hands on her boyfriend's shoulders "You not only got to see Rock Lore, you got to be a part of it!" While Kim wished she had been there as well, she was immensely proud of what her BF had done. Konnie pulled Kon into a hug too "Now you two have to give us deets about that sweet after party with the Rock Gods!"

Kon grinned at his girl "Oh, we can do better than that! Corey said next time he goes to visit we could bring you two with us!" "Carrie and Larry too! But I think Corey just wants to rub it in Carrie's face." Kin added.

Speaking of Carrie and Larry, the duo were sitting in their seats in the audience rather than hanging backstage. Corey had insisted their rivals get front-row seats, mainly to gloat about their success. Carrie sulked, her band had several gigs all week but this easily blew them all out of the water. "Cheer up, Care, I put in our application to play here this morning." Larry reminded her, "We'll have our own show here in no time!"

"Yeah, but Grojband still got here first!" the frontwoman continued to pout, though she was still excited at the thought that her band would be playing here soon.

Larry just rolled his eyes. The rivalry between the band's guitar players would never end. It was the natural order, and after a while, their bands came to see it as a good thing. Having to compete against each other caused them to work harder and play better. Larry couldn't be sure if the bluenettes knew this or not.

"Hey kids!" the couple looked over to the remaining seat beside Carrie. Mr. Riffin waved to them as he sat down. "Hi Mr. Riffin." Carrie greeted him while Larry waved back. They didn't really know the man that well, they'd only really talked to him inside the Larry Lair and things got a little awkward after his slip up. "So… how've things been with your kids?" The redhead tried to make conversation. His girlfriend facepalmed and shook her head, making him realize how much more awkward he made things.

Mr. Riffin, contrary to what the duo thought, wasn't put out by the boy's question. "It's a little weird for the moment. We talked about why I didn't tell them about the adoption, and it went great. They actually- they still call me 'dad'. I met their birth parents, and I ended up talking about the kids' entire lives up till now… at least that I'm aware of." He'd heard a lot about what Trina and Grojband had done, and frankly he had several dozen questions about everything, but learning his kids were demigods set the standard that nothing he heard will ever be normal.

The Newman couple relaxed, glad they didn't touch a nerve. "Yeah, it's crazy that the two of them are… you know…" Carrie looked over her shoulders. Only those who played a part in helping Grojband that day knew of the siblings' real heritage. Corey and Katrina didn't want to advertise themselves as the literal children of rock gods, so they agreed to keep it a secret. "Yes, it's very crazy." Mr. Riffin agreed. "What's even crazier is that this is Katrina's first time performing on stage with them. And don't tell them until after the show, but their mom and 'Rock-dad' are watching too!" the man pointed to a single cloud in the sky, unseen from below. Zeusic and Orchestrella were hiding on top.

Back to backstage, the leader of Grojband was flipping through pages filled with words. Lyrics, to be exact. He paced in a circle with his girlfriend Laney, watching over by an amp. "How do we know these lyrics are really any good?! Butt-crack neighbor sounded amazing in my head before I sang it out loud!" The boy continued to scrutinize his newly written song. No diary, just Corey writing his thoughts and feelings.

"The lyrics are good Core. Swearzies." Laney held her hand over her heart and hopped off the amp she'd been sitting on. "Swearzies? You mean it?" the bluenette finally looked up from the page. The bassist came up and took the paper from his grasp, skimming it over as she spoke. "For real Core. Whatever block you had when it came to your own lyrics is over." She knew he always had it in him. He'd been writing his own lyrics all along. The diary hadn't assisted him, it held him back.

Laney passed the lyrics back to him, smiling proudly. "I always knew you had it in you… although the lightning was a surprise." "Would you say it was a 'shocking' revelation?" Corey winked with a finger gun, making his girlfriend groan. "That pun wasn't good the first eighty-seven times you used it, and yes, that includes the reference in the song." She pointed to a specific line of the words. "Are you planning on making it a visual pun?"

"Just a tiny bolt." Corey made an inch with his fingers. He and his sister practiced enough that they could make their powers look like special effects without the crowd getting wise. Laney was still concerned that her demigod boyfriend was going to accidentally release a lightning storm during the show, a concern validated by the preceding week where they'd learn he'd do his own 'diary mode' zap-fest when his emotions peaked like his sister. The emotional ties apparently came from their mother, although only Katrina could manifest more than her signature pink fire. Corey's power didn't change with his mood, it was electric all the way.

Dropping the subject of electric puns, Corey put the lyric sheet down and took hold of both of Laney's hands. "This is it, Lanes. We're finally going to make our mark." It was exciting and nerve-wracking. The frontman felt his girlfriend tighten her grip on his hands. "It's been one heck of a ride. And we still have a long way to go till we make it to stardom." Laney added.

"Yeah-" Corey gazed fondly into her eyes. "-and before we go up there, I just had to say that… I could have never done this without you, Lanes. You started the band. You never lost faith in me! I may be the frontman but you're the real heart of this band." the bassist's eyes sparkled, touched by his words. "I love you Core." "I love you too, Lanes." The couple leaned in to kiss, however a tone played through the speakers, letting them know the show was about to start. Saving the kiss for later, the two grabbed their instruments and headed to their bandmates.

Grojband converged on a platform under the stage, instruments in hand and ready to go. All except for Katrina, who was visibly more nervous than the rest. "Sis-" Corey got her attention. "Let's rock!" He held out his hand, followed by Laney's, Kin's and Kon's on top. The four waited for their tambourine and dual vocalist, who slowly added her hand to the pile. "GROJBAND UNITY CHANT!" they all shouted. Unfortunately, their following chant was not in unity. "GO GROJBAND!" "GO GET EM!" "GROJBAND IS COOL!" "DREAMS ARE WEIRD!" "I DON'T KNOW A UNITY CHANT!"

The platform lifted up and brought the band to the main stage; the arena packed with fans cheering for Grojband. "HELLO EVERYONE, WE ARE GROJBAND!" Corey grabbed the mic. "Before we start, give a big hand to our newest member; my sister Katrina!" a spotlight singled out the older teen, who shyly waved at first until the crowd started screaming for her. The applause was music to her ears. She blew kisses and posed for the fans.

"Count us in Kon!" Katrina took her mic and pointed to the drummer. "One-two-three-four!" Kon tapped his drumsticks together, and the band started playing. The rock sound was upbeat and triumphant, the kind of song you'd hear for a grand finale. Corey leaned towards the mic and took the first verse;

"We've been through a whole lot, somehow we never gave up

Didn't think we'd change the plot, feared the story'd end abrupt

Lyrics and gigs hadn't come easy

Glad I had my friends along for the journey

Every step we took brought us standing here today."

The music swelled into the bridge, while Katrina added her vocals before Corey's.

"Now I've found-"

"-Everything I've ever been looking for!"

"I hear the sound-"

"-Of music blasting straight outta my core!"

The siblings leaned back to back and shared the next line: "Turns out all we needed was the spark to restart what came before!"

Katrina went back to her solo line: "Don't regret-"

This time, Kin and Kon sang the responding lyrics: "-All the trouble that we've lived through!"

"Won't forget-"

Laney leaned over and shared the mic, and vocals, with Corey: "-All the good times that I've had with you!"

All five of them sang the last line of the bridge together: "Nothing will stay the same forever, so we'll keep on moving forward!"

A guitar riff started off the chorus, which the band continued to sing as a group;

"It's time to tell a new legend

This is where our prologue comes to an end

If it weren't for each other we'd never come this far

Turning the page to our next adventure

Nothing can stop us when we sing together

It's been a long road to get to where we are!"

The Riffin siblings dove into a dual guitar and tambourine solo. Their eyes flashed in their respective colors. A wall of pink flames burst up behind the band and two bolts of blue lightning shot into the air. The display went off without a hitch and the crowd went wild, unaware that what they witnessed was not special effects. The second verse came up and Katrina took over vocals;

"Try to bring us down you're in for a shock, the band's got a little something new

When the time comes to hear us rock, you'll see there's so much more than we can do

Got each other's backs whenever there's danger

Being with you guys I've never felt stranger

I can't hold this back, I'm embracing my new future!"

The eldest girl of the group looked at her new bandmates. She hadn't felt this way in such a long time. It was even more exciting playing in a group than just with her brother. Did they always feel so powerful performing for an audience? Could they feel the rhythm of each other's heartbeats like she did now? Katrina thinks she finally understands what it means to be part of a band.

Katrina led them into the bridge. "Now I've found-"

Corey continued. "-Everything I've ever been looking for!"

"I hear the sound-"

"-Of music blasting straight outta my core!"

The original four members delivered the next line, motioning to Katrina. "The missing piece is back where it belongs, after so long now we are so much more!"

All of them sang the first half of the line in unison: "Don't regret-"

Kon solo'd. "-All the trouble that we've lived through!"

"Won't Forget-"

Kin solo'd "-All the good times that I've had with you!"

Laney solo'd. "Status quo's gonna keep on changing, it's our destiny we're rearranging!"

The demigods activated their powers once again, bringing an impressive light display with the final chorus. Their five voices rang out across the stadium, putting their all into the last section;

"It's time to tell a new legend

This is where our prologue comes to an end

If it weren't for each other we'd never come this far

Turning the page to our next adventure

Nothing can stop us when we sing together

It's been a long road to get to where-

Right here is where our dream finally begin

It's been a long road to get to where-

-WE ARE!"

"GROJBAND!" The crowd erupted into applause and cheers. The fire and lightning exploded into firework's sending pink and blue flecks of light raining down from the sky. Mr. Riffin and their friends were shouting for them in the front row. Even Carrie managed a tiny smile and clapped. Zeusic and Orchestrella watched their children from above, proud of how they've turned out. Tears threatened to fall from Katrina's eyes. She brushed them aside and took a bow. Kin and Kon made rock signs with their fists and bumped them together, making an explosion sound as they made contact. Laney wrapped her arms around Corey's neck and pulled him into a kiss. The bluenette wrapped his arms around her waist and reciprocated.

Grojband looked out to their audience. This was only the beginning for them. "Thanks for coming out, everyone!"
