(Special Review by me at the end.)

Things have been… peaceful. I'm happy to say. So far I haven't gotten any replies and messages from anyone after I left the message before and I'm thankful for that. When I meant no more connection and communication, I did mean nothing for us. To not acknowledge us anymore or deal with each other. That's what I meant but I didn't really voice it. Hopefully he'll understand exactly what I was going for and we leave each other alone.

Nonetheless, just the fact I did all that I did around town. Gathering all my stuff finally just feels so good with no more worries. Not only that but in going with me storing my weapons away, I've don't even carry my Beretta's anymore, not even the holsters. Constantly carrying guns around… I think its about time I took a break from that.

Now, I've just been happy to relax and take a break finally from constant paranoia.

"They told me there wasn't enough room on the road for the Universe. And I told them, the Universe is my road."

And at the same time catching up on Steven and his hijinks. Such as now as he sits in the new car his dad bought and pretends to start it by moving the clutch and pressing the pedals.

"Vroom, vroom!" He even makes the noises as he pretends to drive. Meanwhile I am here on my car, laying down on the hood and just watching the sky.

"Marcus?" A glance to the side shows Connie standing next to me with a pretty cool looking jacket if I do say so myself, especially the puffy collar.

"Hey Connie. Good to see you." I greet her with a genuine smile.

"Good to see you too." She replies before glancing to Steven. "What's Steven doing?" She asks a little confused.

I click my mouth and bring my right hand in front of me. "Living life on the road Connie. Life… on… the… road." I say with a far off look and a slow hand wave away from us. I go back to lying back on the hood of my car. Not even a few seconds later I can feel the awkward confused state Connie is in. "Just go talk to him. Bring him out of his world."

"Alright." She says and goes over to the driver side of the van. I take a long look at it before looking at my other side.

"You know you could have let me and I could have recommended a much better model." I tell the father of the boy I will die for. Don't know why I said that but its true.

"Ahhh don't bother. Besides that baby's got sentimental and fond memories for me." He explains as he sits there.

"Really?" I ask and glance to the car, now with Steven and Connie talking before he looks towards us.

"Thanks for letting me practice, Dad. This car's great! But I think it might be too small to live in." Steven informs us as he gets out.

"Ah, the van's still home sweet home." He replies as he walks around my car to be next to the kids. I too swing myself up until I am sitting the edge of the hood. "I just thought now that I'm swimming in dough, why not get a new car?"

"I beg to differ on the term 'New.'" I chime in.

"He's right. It's got this big 'Used' sticker on it." Connie agrees, and pointedly thumbs the sticker.

"I like to think of it as more 'Experienced' than 'Used.'" He says and puts his own sticker over the 'used' one, this one being 'Dad on Board' written on it. "This baby's a Dondai Supremo from the era of frosted tips, mood rings, slap bracelets."

"…"

"…" The two of them just give him blank stares, as do I as I stand next to them.

"You know, before you kids were born." He tells them before glancing at me. "What about you Marcus? I'm sure you might JUST have seen something."

"I was isolated in my home the majority of my life by my abusive father and the time I was out was focused on surviving."

"…"

"…"

"…"

'Oh crap, I made things awkward.' I mentally think as I had quickly brought the mood down for everyone in an instant. "Sooooo! Why did you buy this thing? You said it had fond memories?" I quickly change the subject, as well as by patting the hood of the car.

"Oh, yeah!" He gleefully says, whether to be happy about reminiscing, or happy to change the depressing subject, I wouldn't know. "I've had my eye on the Dondai since way back when." He then shows us some pictures of his younger self besides a Dondai. "I loved that car." 'Aw.' I smile as he poses near the car a few times. "I wanted that car." 'Ahhoohh.' And then it gets awkward, and weird, maybe a little creepy, when he's eating spaghetti with it… with one of those romantic biting-on-the-same-noodle shticks. Finally the last one shows him getting reported by the police. We stare at the pictures uncomfortably until he throws them away. "Also, these things are crazy on the road." He proceeds to go inside the Dondai. "Front wheel suspension, tons of ponies. But best of all… It has a tape deck." He finishes pointing out the features it has and ends it by inserting a tape into the tape deck.

Soon, some chill music begins to play, making things a bit peaceful for us here. While I smile at the tune, Steven and Connie laugh happily. There isn't much more for us to say to each other so everyone simply picks up a sponge and begins cleaning the cars to the song that plays. Steven and his dad begin cleaning the new car from the rear area while Connie graciously helps clean my car. While my car had taken a hell of beating from the… events in Empire City, I was able to get it repaired over the course of a couple days. Even added some new features too. Not as grand or extravagant as a tape deck in Gregs mind, but faster speed when I want doesn't hurt. Unless I lose control in which case it will hurt A LOT.

I'm rambling. Point being while Connie is lighter than me, she crouches on the top of my car and cleans there while I'm going with my tire rims.

Overall it was a nice amount of time we were having until I began to hear a new kind of music that rapidly begins to increase in volume, soon enough drowning out Gregs music. Steven notices it too so we both look towards the road to see who is blasting the new music.

Suddenly, a techno-ish Rock music I think is heard getting louder and louder and with it, a yellow colored sports car comes driving in. The driver flaunts his ride even more by making the engines rev hell a loud. He comes straight to the car wash in a skid right into the lot, making the tires screech loudly as it skids right in front of us. This kicks up a bunch of dirt to me and my friends. What's more is the dust and dirt just undid all the cleaning we just did. "Son of a…" My anger peters off as throwdown the sponge in my hand and I stare annoyed at the high-tech car. As soon as the window rolls down, I can see why who's behind the wheel.

"Give me a wash, old man." Kevin demands without a hint of nicety to Greg.

"Uh, right away, young man." Greg goes up to him with a sponge right quick.

"Is that…?"

"Kevin!" Steven says the guys name venomously, as well as squeezing and wringing the sponge he has in fury. I have to admit, I'm right there with him. I only saw the guy for just a few seconds but that was all I needed to equally become annoyed and just overall despise the guy.

"I didn't say iron the socks. I said I want my socks pressed." While Greg is cleaning his tires the guy is on his phone talking to whoever about the specifics of having his socks dried or whatever. For whatever reason he notices something about Greg. "Whoa! Wait, wait. Careful with the tires, Grandpa. I got a big race today, and my car has to look as beautiful as me." He finishes saying with a wink. 'Jeeze this guy just screams self-absorbed.' I roll my eyes at his attitude but when I'm done I notice Steven is gone form next to me.

"Back off, Kevin! He's not a Grandpa! He's just a regular Pa!" Steven yells as he comes in between Kevin and Greg loudly with his arms spread.

This gets Kevin to turn off his phone and looks intently at Steven. "Have we met before? I think I'd remember a twerp like you." My fists clench tightly at his uninterest of what had happened.

"You do remember a twerp like me!" Steven yells to him. This however prompts Connie to run up next to him, laughing nervously all the while.

"You- You just look like another guy we know." She nervously tells him, attempting to dissuade any potential altercation from what I can guess.

"That's impossible. There's only one… Kevin." 'Oh my god he is just so… smug and I… want to punch him.' It doesn't help with my opinion of him when decides to peel out and speed away from us.

"HEEEY!" I yell angrily and run up to the street next to the others. 'Jackass didn't pay.'

"Hey! He forgot to… Eh, what do I care? I'm rich." While Greg is nonchalant and not all that caring in hindsight about it, because yes he is rich, that's dangerous thinking. Plus I REALLY don't like the idea of Kevin thinking he can get some things for free just because he thinks he's better than others.

"I hate Kevin!" Steven growls his hatred at the departing jerk.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa! Watch the four letters, schtuball. Hate's a strong word." Greg tries to calm down the little guy.

"Hate is the least strong word in my vocabulary." I mutter angrily, mostly to myself.

"It's a strong feeling, too." He replies to his dad.

"Do you know that guy?"

"Well, kinda. When we fused into Stevonnie, we met him at the dance and—"

"He was a creep!"

"Steven!"

"That's five letters!" Steven tries to reason to his dad for the outburst.

"And he's right." I confirm as I cross my arms in front of me, a scowl on my face at the memory of what happened during that night. Both when dealing with Kevin and what happened after. "Mm." I grunt at the memory as my hand unconsciously unfurls and one goes to my side where the knife went.

"He kept asking us to dance with him, even though we said no. It was really… uncomfortable."

"He didn't even care about how we felt! At all!" While Connie is a bit more reserved in her anger, Steven is quite vocal.

"I should have gotten there sooner. I was about to interfere but you guys kind of came out on top in the end." I say to the two of them. They smile a little at the memory but they're still down and ticked off since the majority of the time was spent dealing with Kevins crap.

Hearing this bit of news Greg lets out a sigh. "I had no idea that happened. I'm really sorry. That guy, he's not even worth the time of day. Don't even give him the satisfaction of thinking about him." He proposes they do. I can see the merit in doing something like that to a guy like Kevin. Not giving him any attention or giving him the reactions he wants to get from you would be a way to really get at him.

"Thanks, Mr. Universe." For now, the jerk is gone so Connie thanks the father and we decide to go back to washing up. Although I can somewhat tell Steven is still glowering about the whole thing.

Still, at least some hours pass and the sun has already started to fall, leaving the place where we are in a dusk setting. Greg has already closed up his car wash business and turned in into his van while the rest of us are outside with Connie and Steven laying on the hood of the Dondai and I right next to them. I don't know about Connie but I can tell quite easily that Steven is still more than a little cross at having met Kevin again. I'm not particularly happy about it either as I stand next to the two of them.

"Haaaaa." Steven lets out an audible sigh.

"Mad?" I ask my one word question as I continue to stare into the sky. Steven nods as an answer.

"About Kevin?" Connie asks for clarification.

"Yes." He answers with a dark look on his face and in a lower tone than normal. 'Wow that is… the first I've seen of him I think.'

"Me too." Connie is not as angry as him, but still.

Steven sits up to look at her. "You don't seem mad."

"I'm thinking mad." She sits up as well. "I still feel like there's something big I want to say to him, you know? Something to make him think, like we're thinking." She says.

"I get what you're saying. He brushed you guys off like you were nothing, same thing with your dad. Something has to be done to him to make him think, to get into his head a thought that won't be leaving his mind anytime soon." An evil smile forms on my lips. "Keeping him up at night, over and over and over again."

"Yeah." Thankfully Steven didn't see the smile. "Too bad we can't just race against him. To use the first place ribbon to wipe that smug look off his face!" He proposes. The guy did mention he was going to enter a race later. I've heard of them a few times, even been proposed to do it those times as well by Jenny and the others.

"But we're kids. Kids can't drive. That's against the law." Connie says.

"Well, I'm allowed to drive. But something tells me this is something that you two want to do yourselves, right?" I ask. I'd offer to race for them, but that might take out the satisfaction of dealing with Kevin than if they did it.

For a second, the two of them think on another idea until Steven gets something. "We weren't kids when we met Kevin."

"I smell what you're steppin' in." Connie quips with a smirk.

"Ew."

"Whoa, you guys serious?" I ask. They both look at me, and nod with smiles on their faces. I smile back. "Awesome."

Now, normally I wouldn't split a chapter up like this, especially not make the first split barely over a few thousand words, but lets be honest everyone, this is a special occasion.

The reason why I did this split is because I didn't want to dedicate a new chapter just for me to review what we saw in the special. I also wanted to give you guys something to read too so hear you go. Take note, spoilers ahead.

SPOILERS

My general reaction to the whole thing, as was most other people and you all I'm sure, mixed when it came to the different scenes that happened. I mean, there was a lot of things that made me gasp in surprise, overall happiness, ecstatic, horror, and so on. So much happened. So much we wanted to see happened and so much we didn't. The fusions, the gems new forms, the fights, emotions, god it was beyond beautiful.

For the fusions, I have to admit, I was not expecting those types of forms for Rainbow Quartz 2.0 and Sunstone, neither the new looks for Garnet, Amethyst and Pearl. Seriously the jacket for Pearl was somewhat fitting for her but I still was not expecting it. Looked good though. And Obsidian… holy mother of crap now I know why they made a statue of her because she deserved one. Just seeing her exhumed power and strength and when she produced her sword… damn that was amazing.

Speaking of forms, Peridot and Lapis. They were awesome. When I saw them appear, well lets just say my right hand also has a tiny bit of red scaring on it because when I was hugging myself when I saw Bismuth, I just about spasmed out when I saw Lapis and Peridot were here to help and reformed. By happy spasming at seeing them, I sort of ran the metal of my watch along my hand, so that gave me a red mark along my right hands thumb and a little bruising to go along with it. It's not that bad to be honest. Now for the next few days as I look at it, I can't help but remember my reactions to everything that happened in the special. I have to admit, while I'm happy that Peridot Lapis finally have their stars, I'm gonna miss Lapis's dress. It was one of the things I really liked about her but you know what, I can live with her new look. Different than what I was expecting that's for sure but then again I wasn't sure what else they could have made her look.

Not only that but of course there were some moments that weren't so happy and just left me completely breathless in abject horror at what I just witnessed. I'm talking about the scenes of White Diamond taking over her sisters and the Crystal Gems, not to mention… Steven.

When I saw White Diamond take his gem… oh my god I swear I just about felt my heart stop. I started hyperventilating and repeating 'oh my god' over and over again. When the commercial ended and we came back though and saw what happened to him, that was… crazy. Just seeing his gem take on his own form like that was amazing but I was also saddened when I saw how weak human Steven was. But the most jarring, surprising and spine-chilling moment was when his gem self just yelled. Hearing "She's Gone!" like that made me hold my breathe and grip the living hell out of what I was sitting on, same with seeing the crater form under him and the entire room shake, including White Diamond, was… mind-blowing.

Then afterwards when both Stevens were laughing, crying, hugging and fusing back together… damn my heart just swelled, my smile was wide and squealed seeing him safe and sound. Did you know the animator who did that scene was James Baxter? Surprised me a little but damn did he do such good work. That scene was just so powerful and the animation matched it too.

Finishing off the episode with everyone returning back to Beach City, Lars included, and curing all the corrupted gems just finished off the show in the right away and gave us exactly what we needed to finish off and get the answers to a lot of unanswered questions and mysteries.

All in all, a truly beautiful episode that hit the feels in all areas, both good and bad. Now we just need to wait for two more things: the movie, and quite possibly season six that is going to be a timeskip. Don't know for sure myself on that second one but I'm all for it anyway.

Never, I mean never has any show, series or whatever has made me grab my head with both hands in surprise, anger, happiness and so on; hug myself with a teeth filled grin in happiness, and open mouth gaped at what I saw. Maybe it's because I'm writing a story involving it but I digress. Rebecca Sugar made a truly wonderful show and I and ecstatic to have been able to experience watching every single episode. If after the movie that special we saw was truly the ending to the series, I wouldn't be saddened by that fact. If they are planning more, hey, bring it on.

END REVIEW

Here are your reviews.

Nitro zeus (Ch. 64, 72, 11): Your reviews were a bit all over the place but thank you for them. He'll be getting more weapons in the future, some of them not entirely human made either. For the monster in his head, that is actually a pretty interesting idea. Unsure exactly how I would go about doing it in terms of when exactly, how, the dialogue and all that but we'll see how I feel as time progresses. I may have a sudden burst of inspiration for it too. As for Marcus and Jenny, sorry that ship has kind of sailed more than likely.

It was one person that reviewed and it wasn't really for the previous chapter but frankly I wasn't all that surprised. The chapter wasn't anything to brag about. Just something of a reflection chapter for Marcus while at the same time skipping over some episodes.

Ideas are already flowing through my head left and right on how I'm supposed to work with that. I had a WAAAAAAY different ending planned out but you know what, I think I can work with this one as well. I have some ideas in place, and many more are coming forth. This is going to be good everyone. I can just feel it.

Thank you all for your support and continued reading. Go ahead and fave, follow, review, whatever it is you want to do, but most importantly everyone of you reading this, have fun reading, and have a great day to all.
