"This is very important!" Oliver shouts down to her. "When the ghost grabs you, open your eyes and let her know you see her!" "Wait! Ghost! What ghost?" "Ghost?" The twins shared a wide eyed glance. Ava tries to jump up, but the metal bar holds her tight.
"I didn't believe in ghost either. Until this place. If you're brave, you can set her free!just let her know you see her!"
"This is insane! Oliver, let me off right n…"
Suddenly, the coaster lurches forward. Ava shrieks as it clanks up the hill. Behind her, Dipper helps Mabel in the coaster seat and slams the bar down over them.
Ava's stomach clenches as reaches the top. Then… whoosh! She's swooping through the air!
The howler roars into the loop-the-loop. Ava squeezes her eyes shut in fear. That's when she feels them: two cold hands wrapping around her throat.
Ava screams, but there is no sound. She thinks of her dad, smiling in his top hat.
Ava forces her eyes open. Beside her sits a young woman. She's pale and howling, her white hair streaming behind her. There's a deep cut encircling her neck. Ava stares in terror into her empty white eyes.
Dipper, noticing that she was frozen in terror, began shaking her shoulder to snap her out. "Tell her you she her." Dipper reminded her.
"I see you! I don't know what happened to you, but I'm sorry!" Ava shouts into the rushing wind.
The park suddenly blazes to life. Every light flickers on. Every ride begins to twist rapidly through the air. Ava can hear music booming from the old pipe organ.
The pale woman's hands tighten as they whoosh into a tunnel.
By the time the howler emerges, the ghost was gone. Ava sits alone, gasping. The three clanks to a stop in front of Oliver.
The park is somehow silent and dark once more. Nothing moves, except for Oliver's hair in the breeze.
"You did it." Oliver smiles at her. He helps her stand on wobbly legs.
Ava wants to shout at him, but she is too shaken. At least she saved the park for her dad.
Oliver is right. Life is strange and life in Ursula's Funland is terrifying.
In the seat behind them, Mabel was helping Dipper on hes shaky legs. Looking at the twins," thanks for your help, you two. She would've missed her chance." Oliver said to them.
"We've seen weirder things than that." Mabel waves it off." I'm Mabel. That's my twin brother, Dipper." Dipper waves at them. "I'm Oliver. And that's my friend Ava." It was Ava's turn to wave.
"We should hang out more." Mabel exclaimed. "Maybe without ride, though." Ava jokes. The newly acquainted friends laughed a little.
"We should go home." Dipper suggested. "That's sounds like a good idea. We have a big day tomorrow." Oliver agrees. They say there farewells and went home.
Wonder what adventure tomorrow will bring. Ava thought, going to bed.
