hi

Ktin's POV

The kid didn't speak. He was starting to think she couldn't speak at all when she finally asked him, "Where are we going?" It was shocking as these were the only words the kid had spoke to either him or Ana.

"It's a place that looks like that one place." He replied but the kid was silent again. He turned around and couldn't find the kid. So he figured she was hiding as per usual. He got up and left the cockpit and after just a few seconds of searching found Ana. "I don't think the kid trusts us." He said watching her look at him with the look she always gives him. "What? Is it something stupid I said?" He questioned.

"You really are something special. And not in a good way. I probably wouldn't trust two armed armored trained killers if they just appeared. But that's just my opinion on things." She said going back to the tedious task of cleaning her blaster.

"We haven't shot them yet have we? I honestly don't see a reason on why we wouldn't be trusted." He said, turning around. "Probably because you told the worst joke in the history of the galaxy." Ana said turning towards him. He turned around

"Me? Unfunny? That's the best joke you've ever told in the history of our marriage, that's a historical moment right there." He said ready for some kind of comeback to what he said. "The only thing historical is you not being an actual idiot for 3 hours straight." Ana said. "Well you must love idiots then." He said as he went up to the cockpit with Ana.

Ana's POV

Ana sat in the co pilot seat putting her feet on the console. "Where we headed?" She asked, looking at Ktin. "Maybe just head to the Outer Rim and find work maybe. At least that's the plan." Ktin said, sarcastically.

"That's gonna be a very long trip." She said sighing. "This is going to be a very boring trip." She saw in the corner of her eye Ktin turn to her. "I could easily make this trip much more exciting."

She turned to turned to Ktin, "Not with the kid onboard." Ana said turning the chair toward Ktin.

Ana took her feet off of the console spun the chair around in boredom.

"What are we gonna do in the Outer Rim anyway? There's nothing there." She said getting out of her chair.

"Someone I know wants something done. I owe him one. You don't have to come with me, you can stay by the ship. But this is something I have to do." She heard Ktin say as she reached the door.

She turned around and asked, "Who is this someone?"

She watched Ktin place his gloves on the console and turn to her, "Old gang I used to be in. Leader of it practically raised me. Why?"

She opened the door and spoke, "No reason. But, I'm going to take a nap until we get there and maybe sleep through that job."

She made it to the sleeping quarters and laid down as she slowly, drifted off.

Ktin's POV

He always loved and hated the gang equally. It had its good memorable moments he preferred to remember, and the bad ones.

As Ktin exited hyperspace and proceeded to the coordinates in the message.

There were a few members he wasn't looking forward to see. He just wanted to get in get out and leave.

Ktin landed the ship and opened the ship door and closed it. He began walking through the city whilst repeating the building's location in his head.

As he approached the building he heard a voice yell out from behind him. He turned around and saw 3 men walking toward him, one of them yelled out, "You're one of Jaa's fellers aren't you?"He placed his hand on his blaster and replied to the man. "No? I think you've got me mistaken." He lied. But it was obvious. the men placed their hands on their blasters.

"Don't do something you'll regret." He said reaching down toward his blaster. "I've seen you before, years back. You and Jaa and a whole bunch of others robbed the planetary bank! I lost my job there because of you!" The man said drawing his blaster and pointing it at him.

He drew his blaster blasting the first two down before being hit in the shoulder. He recovered and raised his blaster to fire but a blast came from behind him and the final attacker fell.

"Trying to kill yourself tin-head?" He turned around to see a familiar face. "Great, now I owe you. I'd rather die." He replied. "The feeling's mutual. Only reason you're alive right now is because Jaa wants you alive. Consider yourself lucky that I was here." Corr said lowering the rifle he shot the attacker with.

He walked inside the building and holstered his blaster. "What happened to you? You've gotten all tall and you've gotten yourself a hole in your shoulder." He heard a familiar woman's voice from behind him say.

"It should heal." He said while placing his hand on his injured shoulder. Hoping time would slow so he didn't have to hear the 'be more careful' talk from Ana. "Where's the crazy guy run off to?" He asked while turning to Ms. Sabe. Debt collecting as he calls it. He should be back get that checked out, and just wait. So unless you've got anything medical with you, you'll be staying."

"Lucky for me I do. I'll go get that and head straight back to see what kind of job he wants me to do now." He replied while walking to the door. He opened the door and walked toward the ship. He made it to the ship and opened the door to Ana reaching for the door button.

"Just the man I wanted to.. see.." Ana said with her words slowing as she looked at him holding his shoulder. "What did you do? I told you not to get yourself hurt and here we are." Ana said walking to grab a box of bacta patches.

"Ana, I'm fine. It's only my shoulder nothing bad." He said trying to calm her.

"No, it isn't fine you should really consider not trying to kill yourself every time you do anything!" Ana said raising her voice a little while sitting him down. He grabbed the patch and placed it on his shoulder.

"See? Good as new. Perfectly fine. You worry to much about me, it's.. heartwarming to know you care. But-" He was cutoff. "But what? Keep acting stupid and I'll be staring at your grave. I'll go from your wife to a grieving widow. I'd love to have a husband that's y'know, alive?"

"Well. Get the kid, we're gonna have to wait a tad bit longer. Follow me and try not to do anything stupid. I doubt that incident will be the last." He said while getting up and going outside waiting for Ana to get ready.

He watched Ana walk outside with the kid and they began walking. "If we're lucky he'll be there. If not, he'll take hours. Place is usually loud and bustling consider they operate in a nice little building in the middle of town." He said.

He said looking at Ana whilst they took the final turn to the building. "Not very sneaky. How did you manage to lay low?" Ana asked as they approached the door. "We bribed most of the curious law official guys. Others we shot. But that's not important." He responded as he opened the door.

"Head upstairs. Last room on the right." He said as he watched Ana go upstairs with the kid. "Ktin! My good associate." He heard a voice from behind him yell. "Never thought you would show. Brought some people with me. Fine with you?" He asked as he saw Jaa approach him.

"Ah, it's fine. Considering you'll be making up for the months of work you owe me." Jaa said crossing his arms.

"Months? You're being generous. Real rare for someone like you." He said surprised. He always knew his past would somehow catch up to him. And the man in front of him was living proof.

Ana's POV

As she made it to the room she opened the door. "Stay here kid, I'll go see what he's up to."

She walked out of the door and caught him walking up the stairs. "So? How'd it go?" She asked as she heard him sigh.

"We'll be staying here for a few months. I owe him a few months. But that's the generous amount." Ktin answered.

"Surely you can't be.." Ana sighed. "Won't be room for me you and the kid in that room. Is there a spare?" She asked, "Yeah, they saw you enter told me there was a spare for the kid. I'll settle this. Annoying situation. Like I always do." Ktin said while walking with her to the room.

They made it to the room and gestured to the kid to come to them. "Well kid, I know you're all about privacy and secrecy. So I'll guide you to your room and you'll hopefully be comfortable here. Sound good?" Ktin asked with the kid answering with a nod.

She watched Ktin walk toward a room and open it as he and the kid went inside. She walked inside the room and sat on the bed as she waited for Ktin.

She always knew he had a past he'd rather not talk about. But she understood. He was a changed man Her parents always wanted her to marry a senator or a lawyer. But when she swore the creed the way was all she cared about and followed religiously.

But here she was married to an interesting character. Her parents wouldn't approve of him on account of him not being a senator or lawyer, but she loved him.

Her thoughts were interrupted by Ktin walking in. "Months of this. And here I thought I was free from this." Ktin said as he sat beside Ana.

"We'll figure it out. Like you always do." She said as he looked at him. "Maybe." Ktin said as he got up.

"I need to go see what needs to be done tomorrow. Maybe it won't be suicidal." Ktin said as he walked out of the room.

As she laid on the bed she pondered over how she even got into this situation. But as she laid on the bed she grew tired.

She stood up and turned the light off and laid down on the bed and slowly drifted off.

Ktin's POV

As he made it to door of the personal office of the selfish, greedy, man who raised him he opened it. And shut the door behind him.

"It better be something we can both agree on. I don't think she wants to come home to a body ba-" "You listen to me boy, you playing Mr. I have people to take care of is real great and all, but just know as long as you are here, the gang comes first. You've never seemed to get that in your head." Jaa said.

Ktin sighed. "What do you need me to do tomorrow? That preferably, will not get me killed?" He said, reaching for the door button.

"Classic robbery my boy. You're good at intimidation. This will be easy as long as they aren't armed." Jaa said smiling.

Ktin opened the door and threw his blaster on an empty table and sat down. He started cleaning his blaster. "Who's the girl?" Corr said sitting in front of him.

"A friend." He said looking up, annoyed at the presence of the man.

"What's with the freaky necklace you two wear? You weren't wearin' it before." Corr said staring him dead in the eye. "Real attentive. And here I was thinking you were blind."He said.

"Someone's real attached to this friend. Clearly a friend with some added benefits considering the kid." Corr said. He stayed silent looking back down to clean the blaster.

"Never considered you the family type. You were always.. words can't really describe how you used to be. Hm.. only words that can describe past you is.. bloodthirsty, ruthless, and uncaring." Corr said laughing

He shrugged wishing Corr would shut up. Corr was the thing he hated about this gang. Always had something smart to say.

"Are you finished?" He asked as he finished cleaning his blaster. "Yeah, I guess I am tin head." Laughed Corr. He sighed and stood up, holstered the blaster, and walked toward the room.

He opened the door and saw Ana look at him and lay her head back down. "Why'd you wake me up. That was a real good dream.. It was about you y'know." Ana said resting her head on her hands. "Don't make this awkward." He joked laying beside her after removing the plates of armor. Ana snuggled close to him and he heard her breath slow as she drifted off. He slowly drifted off and eventually fell asleep.

When he woke up he got his armor on. Checking outside the window he saw it was still dark. He grabbed his blaster and looked back at Ana. Something to look forward to after this. He thought to himself.

"Come back to bed.." he heard Ana say. "Can't, remember?" He said. "Oh yeah.. right. Don't get hurt." Ana said sleepily. "Yeah and one more thing, I love you." Ana said as she got up to give him a hug.

She pressed her helmet against his and he held her hand. "I love you too." He said staring into her visor. He held her in his arms for a moment when a knock on the door came. "Hurry up will you?" Shouted a voice outside of the room.

He placed his helmet against hers one last time and left the room. "What took you?" Asked Corr. "Lost track of time." He answered. They went outside toward a speeder and got in. the speeder drove off. And Corr asked, "How the hell did you lose track of time? You're one of the few people I know that can wake up at anytime, without an alarm." Corr asked.

"Guess I forgot how." He answered. They approached the overlook. "Why is there an overlook? This is supposed to be simple." He asked as everyone got out.

"Simple's changed. You're the most accurate out of these buffoons. Get on the overlook, Corr toss him that rifle."Jaa said gesturing to the speeder's storage compartment.

Corr tossed him the rifle and he set up on the overlook. "Try to hit the other guys and not us?" Corr said.

"Don't run into my line of fire?" He said. Corr laughed and proceeded down the hill. He put down his range finder and looked through the scope.

He watched Jaa stroll up to the entrance of the compound and begin talking. While he scanned the rest of the compound he saw movement on a hill.

He looked at the area of movement and saw another group waking around the compound. He looked at the uniforms of the guards and back at the group.

"Looks like we weren't the first to have this idea.." he said as he placed his finger on the trigger. He felt the muzzle of a weapon on his back.

He turned on the comm link and spoke into it, "We might have a little problem here." He tossed it off of the overlook and placed the rifle down.

"Trying to steal from the compound I picked first, fair and square?" Laughed the man behind him. "It's a little rude to point weapons at people is it not?" He joked turning around to assess the situation.

Seeing more people than he anticipated. "Y'know I was actually just leaving so if you'll excuse me." He said as he tried walking around but the group blocked his exit.

Definitely screwed he thought to himself. Until an idea came upon him, a dumb idea that just might work. "Look over there!" He exclaimed pointing behind the group. They all turned around and he took the chance to jump off of the overlook.

Using his jetpack to slow his descent, he ran toward the compound unholstering his blaster. He slid into cover beside Jaa. "Nice of you to join us." Jaa said as he blasted down two guards.

"You've clearly made a new friend while I was gone. Somebody's not very happy to see us here." He said. "Of course that bastard's here. He's gonna be joining this shootout soon. If we don't get into that vault fast, we'll be leaving empty handed." Jaa stated peeking out of cover to fire on some guards behind cover.

He went out of cover and blasted a few guards down before watching them retreat into the building. "They're running inside. And I've got my idea on how I'm going to get the rest of them." Smirked Corr as he pulled out a bag of detonators.

The group approached the door and stacked on the wall beside it. Corr placed a detonator on the door and blew it off. They fired blindly into the entrance as the guards returned fire.

Corr threw the whole bag of detonators into the room and blew it silencing the blaster fire. "You think their dead?" Corr asked.

"They sound dead." He replied. The group walked inside and Corr pointed out an important looking safe. "Looks like we found our credits. Do the honors boss." Corr said stepping to the side.

Jaa blasted the lock on the safe off and looked inside finding circular wooden objects. "The hell is this?!" Jaa exclaimed. "Looks like some kind of currency. Do the natives on this planet have half a brain?" He asked as he knelt down and inspected the strange currency.

"The natives aren't dumb, but they aren't smart either. They use trickery, make you think they're part of the group and they slaughter you." Jaa said holstering his blaster.

"Boss, we should leave. Everyone on this planet knows that Orron's got a whole lot of guys backing him. That's a shootout I'd like to dodge." Corr pointed out.

"Get your stuff together boys, we're going home empty handed." Said Jaa as he headed for the speeder.

"If we're quick enough, we can put run Orron and his goons." Said Corr as he hopped into the speeder. He jumped onto the back of the speeder and it sped off heading back to civilization.

When they made it back the group hopped out and headed inside making sure that they weren't followed. He went up the stairs and toward his room and opened the door.

What greeted him was Ana without her helmet, her back turned to him fortunately. "My bad." He said, turning around.

Ana, clearly startled put her helmet on and turned around. "Did it go well?" She asked. "Nope, found useless money instead. But who needs credits anyway?" He said sarcastically.

Ana sighed. "The kid still doing whatever kids do?" He asked gesturing toward the room the kid was staying in.

"She's quiet, only comes out for food and whatnot." Ana answered.

"As long as she's alright. You doing well?" He asked. "Of course I am, why wouldn't I be?" Ana replied. "I don't know, sometimes I worry myself. Especially after what happened." He answered.

The room was quiet as they sat beside each other looking down at the floor.

"I think about it a lot too. How things could've turned out." said still keeping her gaze at the floor. "I miss the way it used to be. It was simple back then.." Ana's voice said shakily.

He grabbed her hand and she fell onto his shoulder as she broke into tears. "I'm sorry I couldn't do anything.. it's my fault, I should've been faster." He said staring into her visor.

"No. It wasn't your fault. I don't think there was much you could've done." Ana said, calming down. He sighed, "I guess so."

"Ktin! I need you down here!" Jaa yelled from downstairs. Ktin got up and went downstairs. "Come here real quick son." Jaa said pointing at a hologram of a map.

"I'm sure you're wondering what was in that compound." Jaa said smiling. "Was it a lot of money that wasn't there?" He joked. "Yes, but it also belonged to a company that operates on this planet."

"They moved their beloved stash to their own vault in their main building." Jaa said as he put on a hologram of the building. "The vault is on the 7th floor. Now, the way we'll get in is by pretending we're shipping in equipment for their mining operations. Since the money and the metals that they mine are precious, the place is filled with security."

"Fun, but where are we going to get uniforms?" He asked. "Corr has a friend who works there, we promised the friend 25% of the money. If he got us those uniforms."

"Now the real issue is that we need 1 extra person for this. Corr says he knows some people but I'm not sure they'll arrive in time." Jaa said. "I could get Ana to help." He suggested.

"Who? Your girlfriend?" Jaa asked. "We're married." He said proudly. "If she's able to do it. Considering the kid." Jaa said.

"We can get Ms Sabe to take care of the kid while we're gone, it'll be fast." He said. "Sounds like a plan, get some rest. You'll need it." Jaa said as he turned off the hologram and left.

He left the room and walked up the stairs toward the room and opened the door. Ana was already asleep so he just got into the bed and closed his eyes hoping to get enough rest.
