Warning upfront: there's violence in this chapter, so don't like, don't read.

I woke up and smelt that I was somewhere I'd never been before. Opening my eyes and sitting up I heard a chain moving and looked down to see a chain going from the middle of the room to a metal collar that was fastened around my neck. I touched the collar but could find no lock of any sort, so I decided to first figure out where I was. I noticed that I was in a glass dome of some kind, the glass seemed very thick, indestructible even. That's when I noticed movement outside of the dome and my first reaction was to take a defensive stance.

However, my mouth dropped as I saw that it was Thor who was waving at me and at the same time trying to break the cell he was held in. He was kept in a metal container with a glass door that stood against the wall. I looked around and noticed that the other avengers were in the same predicament. All of them were in cells against the wall. The dome stood in the middle of the room and there was plenty of space between the cells and the dome, but it was all filled up with technology of some kind. I could see that the avengers were trying to catch my attention and say things to me, but I heard nothing. I tried to make as much clear to them and they seemed to understand and continued with trying to break down their cells. I looked at the chain that I was stuck to, but it seemed too big to break. I nevertheless tried, but the chain was too strong and since my movement was restricted by the chain using my speed to help break it was out of the question as well.

Suddenly I heard a sound as if a microphone of some sorts had been turned on and I saw the avengers having similar reactions. I turned around as the door opened and Henry walked in. "Ah, good morning sunshine!" Henry said to me. He then noticed the avengers still trying to destroy their cells. "Try all you want avengers, these cells won't break, so you might as well save your energy for when you need it." Henry continued walking until he got to a computer, set up in front of the dome. He then pressed a button and before I knew what was happening the liquid we had been trying to track came pouring down and completely soaked me. After a minute the downpour finally stopped and the last of it went down a drain which was placed near the middle of the room. I shivered as the fluid was cold and I was completely drenched by it.

The avengers were shouting, but Henry paid them no mind at all as he continued to watch me. "I think it is finally time for some explanations now, not because I have to explain anything to you, but because I enjoy how well we played you. Although it is rather a pity that you didn't figure it out before now, but oh well, it adds to the surprise I suppose. Before we start though, yes all of you can hear me and no you cannot hear each other." Henry then moved and sat in a chair, making himself comfortable before continuing. "I suppose we'll start at the beginning when we met in the Avengers tower. Didn't you all think that it was terribly convenient that the avengers were called away just as I entered the building? Indeed, that so called "base" was a fake to get the avengers away in order to reach the real goal: implementing a virus in JARVIS."

He then turned to me. "That brings us to our second meeting which has everything to do with this." He held up a vial that no doubt contained the weird liquid that I was still soaked with. "We left behind a vial for SHIELD to find in another abandoned base and then sent Weber to be captured as this would spike an interest towards the fluid. In the lab of our old base I then scattered the liquid around so you would have to breathe it in Accalia. You did and with the added effect of you fighting our men it ensured that you would stay in the room long enough to breathe a large quantity of the odour in.

You see, I said before that there is a reason why only you smell the liquid and that is because it was designed specifically for you. In small quantities it causes chronic headaches and small side-effects, but in large quantities … I'll let someone else tell you that, my partner. You see, I didn't do all this by myself, far from it, my partner did most of the work and I helped wherever possible. He is also the reason that we didn't have to test any of the liquids directly on you, he already had enough data that we could work with. So, allow me to introduce the man who made all of this possible, the mastermind behind the plan: professor doctor David Dekker."

I lost the ability to breathe as I couldn't believe what I was seeing when the doors opened. "Dad?" I said. "Is that really you? But, you died? I looked for you in the rubble, I couldn't find you. I … How?" I stammered. My head felt fuzzy, he couldn't be alive, he died three years ago as did mom. Wait, mom? "Dad, is mom …" This for the first time caused a reaction out of my father who had remained silent before. "My wife is dead, she didn't survive and yes that is all your fault. When I crawled out of that rubble and saw that she was dead I cried. I cursed the day you were born.

Then I saw you lying in the rubble. I thought you were dead, but you were still breathing. Why? Why you and not my wife? You shouldn't have lived. After all that, after killing your own mother, you were still alive. I looked at you barely breathing and wanted to kill you at first. I decided against it in the end and instead watched you from a distance. If you'd die from the injuries, good, if you lived, I'd follow you and kill you at a more convenient time and place. So, I hid in the bushes and when you finally woke up, I couldn't believe my eyes. You changed into a wolf. I don't know if it was the explosion or also because of the experiments prior that you changed into a wolf, but I have never been able to recreate it.

So, when I noticed that you were a wolf I then followed you for the next half year and I saw your speed and strength and most of all your use. Finally, you had become valuable. I called Henry and we began our work. It took us nearly three years but we finally succeeded. We then set our plan in motion and I had Henry visit you for the first time, you know the rest. But this, this fluid" he held up another vial "this is the solution. It will finally turn you into something useful and after all the failed experiments my wife and I will finally be recognized for the brilliant scientists we are."

I couldn't think of any words, he had seen me turn a wolf? He had been alive all this time, had even followed me for half a year and he'd never said anything? My own father had done this. No. This is not my father. "No. You knew I was alive? You watched me suffer and you stood there in the distance and did nothing. You are not my father. You never loved me even though I tried to be the daughter you wanted. I even thought that that might actually be normal in a family. But you're a monster. The avengers gave me a home, more than that, they gave me a family. I'm through with being nice to you because you're my dad. You open this cage and I will get you. I won't even hesitate. You're nothing to me."

"Aw, would you look at that David, she found her spine after all." But David waved Henry's comment off and said "Open the cage Henry." What? Was he really going to open it? If this was a test then it would be too bad for him, no hesitation, I'd go straight for the kill. Henry didn't even question David's request and walked to the cage. Were they bluffing? Henry pushed a few buttons, smiled at me, and pressed another button and my collar fell to the ground. I felt my neck and then walked towards the door of the cage changing to my wolf form before I looked at Henry, daring him to open the door. He pressed a few more buttons and then pushed the final one. The cage actually opened.

I was out before the door had fully opened. I had almost reached David before I heard him say "stop". And I stopped? Why was I not moving? I looked up in confusion to see David smile and Henry laugh. "It works, it actually works!" Henry said. "Of course it works, three years of research have gone into this, I think it should bloody well work and it does seem to do so perfectly at that." David said and beckoned me. "Here" he commanded and pointed to his feet. To my own astonishment I moved and as he commanded me to sit I sat. David crouched down so he was level with me and the bastard had the audacity to start petting me.

"This is what I've been working on for the past few years" he said while holding the vial up once more before pouring the contents over me. "If you take in the smell you experience headaches, but if you take in the liquid itself through exposure, you become fully obedient and as the solution turns your red eyes yellow I'll know when you're under my influence and when you're about to slip. As an added bonus only I can command you, even Henry shouldn't be able to control you, so let's test that. Henry you've helped me a great deal but from now on I don't need you anymore, Accalia, I command you to kill Henry."

Wait what? Before I had even fully registered the command I was edging forwards, growling and snapping as if closing in on prey. "Wait, stop! David what are you doing, call her off! Stop Accalia, I command you to stop." Henry became frantic and began to move back with every step I moved forward. "Accalia stop." David said. I immediately stopped moving and try as I did I couldn't move a muscle of my own will. "Thank you David, but what the hell was that, don't joke around with me like that." Henry said while being visibly relieved. David walked towards him while saying: "Just testing her Henry, we need to test a product before using it, you know that. Now hand me the two vials of Yellow-X you still have please." No. Wait, Henry don't! Can't you see that that is the only reason he stopped the attack? But it was too late.

Henry gave the Yellow-X to David who smiled and said "Oh Henry, you always were a genius in terms of science, but an idiot in other areas. Accalia kill him." I moved again despite trying my best to stay still. Henry had no chance this time, I was on him before he could run and a second later he fell onto the ground, never to get up again. "Here Accalia." I walked towards him "Now there is a good girl. After all these years you've finally made your father proud. And you've outdone yourself might I add. You've befriended the avengers of all people, with the added bonus that SHIELD also trusts you. This will make staying under the radar so much easier. Now, we're leaving. We're going to steal, I mean, you are going to steal all the equipment I need for further research and kill anyone who stands in our way."

No, please no. I don't want this. Please. I looked at the avengers in their cages and they looked as defeated as I was. "I'm so sorry guys." I said while looking at them. "I never meant to hurt you this way. I don't want to do this, any of this and I promise I'll fight this liquid all the way. I'm sorry that this is the way it must end. I suppose that this is goodbye then. Although I'm sure that you'll find some way to make it out, I'm afraid that we won't see each other again. Please know that you are my family, the only one I ever had, and it was the best one that I could have been given. I love you guys."

"Aw, is that sentiment I hear?" David said sneeringly. "How weak." He kicked me so hard in the chest that I whimpered and was gasping for breath. "Now follow. We have a lot of work to do." I followed behind him with my tail between my legs and looked behind me one last time before the doors closed and I hung my head as a life of misery and pain was ahead of me.

Well guys, as you can see the next chapter is up and as always: enjoy!
