The next morning, Tyler was in the kitchen, cooking breakfast for everybody, when Tate and Tyson walked in. Tate was wearing a navy button up shirt, black slacks and black sneakers while carrying a black leather strapped case. Tyson was wearing a faded version of his high schools shirt with ripped jeans and red sneakers and his letterman jacket.

"Morning guys." Tyler said to his brothers, not taking his eyes off the bacon in the skillet. Tyler was wearing grey sweatpants and a black muscle shirt since he didn't have to go to the restaurant today. "Morning. Wheres mom?" Tate asked while taking the milk out of the fridge for his coffee. Tyler pointed towards the attic. "She's been up there for about 2 hours." He explained to them. "What does she do up there? and why doesn't she wants us up there?" Tyson asked them. They both just shrugged their shoulders and went back to what they were doing. Tyson looked up to the attic in deep thought before turning back to the table.

In the attic, Tamara was setting candles in a circle, placing them around a chalk outline of a Wiccan design. After placing the last candle, she went over to a large tome and chanted "Dilecte illinc, veni nunc mecum." Soon, a bunch of white lights swirled and formed a beautiful woman in a white gown, standing in the middle of the circle.

"Is everything okay, Honey?" The woman asked Tamara. Tamara took a breath and looked at her mother with a concerned look. "Mother, I have a terrible feeling that something dark is coming for the boys and it may be time to unbind their powers." She explained to her. Her mother had a shocked look on her face but then it changed to understanding "If you think this is the right call, I support you. Besides, I always wanted to see what their powers are." She joked to lighten the mood. Tamara smiled at this and bid her mother goodbye as she vanished into a million lights. Tamara sighed and looked at the tome in front of her "I hope you boys are ready." she said to herself before she turned to spell she was looking for. "Potestates ligatas et defossas, libera teipsum." she chanted.

The boys were eating breakfast when all of a sudden, the house started violently shaking and everything on the walls started to fall off. "EARTHQUAKE! EVERYONE DOWN!" Tate yelled to his brothers as they ducked under the table. After a few seconds, the shaking died down and the boys slowly got out from under the table.

"You guys ok?" Tate asked them. "I'm alright." Tyler answered. "That was weird. When was there ever an earthquake in Arizona?" Tyson asked them. Tamara came down the stairs when the boys noticed her. "Mom! Are you okay?!" they asked her at once, which made her laugh and waved her hands at them. "I'm alright, boys. Most importantly, you guys should get going. You'll be late, all of you." She said as she got their bags for them.

"Mom, didn't you feel that earthquake?" Tyler asked. She cocked her eyebrow at them. "What earthquake? We live in Arizona, surrounded by mountains. We don't have earthquakes." She told them as she handed their stuff to them. "Now, go to work and school! you guys are running late." She encouraged as she kind of pushed them out the door. The 3 of them just looked at each other in confusion and back to the house before leaving. Tamara looked at them leave from the window. "You guys are gonna have a very interesting day." She said with a smile as they drove away.

Tate and Tyson pulled up to the school employee parking lot and got out. Tyson noticed some kids were pointing at him and snickering. Tate noticed this and grabbed his brothers shoulder affectionally. "Don't mind them." he told him. Rolling his eyes, Tyson shrugged his hand off and went to his class. Tate shook his head. He knows that having a brother driving him to school was bad enough, but having one that's a teacher is worse. Thankfully, they didn't have any classes together, but still the students mess with him sometimes about it. Moving on, Tate heaved up his bag and went to his class to get ready.

Tyson went to his locker to grab his books for his first class when he noticed a girl a few lockers down. She had tanned skin and long black hair tied into a ponytail, wearing a green shirt and denim jeans with black shoes. "Hey Ty. What's up?" a guy wearing a letter man jacket said to him as he walked up to him. "Hey, Greg. Who's the new girl?" He asked him and motioned to the new girl. "Oh that's Renee. She and her family just moved here from California." Greg answered him before heading to his locker. Tyler just kept looking at her until she noticed him looking at her. He flashed her a smile, but she just rolled her eyes, shut her locker and walked away. "Hmm, I always love a challenge." Tyler said to himself as he grabbed his books and closed his locker.

Tyler drove up to the bakery and put his car in park, taking a deep breath before he turned his car off. "You got this. You can handle your ex. you'll be fine." He whispered to himself as he opened the door and walked into the bakery. "Hey there, good looking." A voice called out to Tyler. Biting back a groan, Tyler looked towards the voice to face the one person he didn't want to face: His Ex, Marcus. Marcus was an average built guy with long blonde hair in a man bun and green eyes. Tyler and Marcus meet when they were in college and were crazy about each other, until Tyler caught Marcus making out with a girl at a football game. Tyler dumped him and ever since, Marcus was trying to get him back, to no avail.

"Hey Marcus. How are you?" Tyler polity asked him as he went to clock in and change into his apron. "Well, id be better if you had dinner with me tonight." Marcus answers him with a flirty smile, which just made Tyler want to gag. "I'd rather stick my head in the oven and bake it at 400 degrees." He snarked back.

Marcus rolled his eyes and grabbed Tylers arm, unaware that someone just walked in the shop. "Listen, I am getting tired of this little rejection game you're playing." He snarled at him. Tyler wrested his arm free and pushed him back a bit. "I'm not playing any game. You cheated on me and you just expect me to come back? Fuck you." He told him sternly.

Marcus eye twitched a bit before raising his fist at Tyler, who noticed this and was about to defend himself, when another a hand came out of nowhere and twisted it and slammed down on the counter. Tyler looked and noticed a slightly taller, muscular man with tanned skin, a black shirt, denim jeans and a leather jacket, holding Marcus arm down on the counter. "I don't think you heard him. He doesn't want you back." The man clarified to Marcus, who was gasping in pain.

The unknown man looked up at Tyler. "You want to press charges?" He asked him. Tyler looked at Marcus and just shook his head. "Just let him go. He's not worth it." He instructed to him. The man looked down and gave Marcuses arm another little twist, causing a yelp to come out and released the arm. "You're damn lucky I don't have my gear." The man told Marcus, who got up while rubbing his arm. Marcus just shot them both a look and walked out of the store.

"Thanks. I appreciate it. Although, I doubt it will last." Tyler told the man, who cocked an eyebrow in confusion. "He and I used to date, till i found him cheating on me with a woman." Tyler explained and the man nodded in understanding. "Gotcha. Dealt with that similar problem back home." He explained. "How'd you handle it?" Tyler asked him. The man shrugged his shoulders "Threw him in jail when he tried to punch." he replied casually. Tylers eyes widened at this information. The man laughed at his expression. "I'm a cop. He knew this and yet still tried to punch me." he explained.

Tyler laughed at this and looked back at the man. "I guess i owe you one, officer?" Tyler asked. The man bit back a smile before answering. "Myers. Officer Derek Myers." He introduced himself as he extended his hand for a handshake. Tyler smiled and took it. "Tyler. Tyler Russo." He introduced back. They both were smiling when they noticed they were still holding hands.

They reluctantly let go and Tyler broke the silence. "So, what can I get you?" He asked Derek, who chuckled a little. "Just a medium black coffee and 2 blueberry muffins, please." He ordered and Tyler went to get his order ready. After 3 minutes, Tyler gave Derek his order. Derek pulled out his wallet, but Tyler stopped him. "It's on the house. A thanks for helping me." He explained. Derek smiled at this and grabbed his order. "I'll see you later. Hopefully not stopping an assault on you." Derek told him with a smile as he walked out. Tyler smiled and went back to work.
