"I can't believe you're bringing me to this." Mal said as she and Evie made their way across the football field.
"What happened to 'sure Evie, whatever you need?'" Evie asked, reminding that Mal did offer to help Evie get in.
"That was before I knew it would involve pom poms." Mal continued.
"Can you let me enjoy this?" She asked as they approached Audrey and others in uniforms.
"Ok, is everyone ready?" Audrey asked addressing the group in front of her.
"Wait, I'm here to!" Evie said running over. "Am I late?" She asked.
"Nope, you're just in time. Oh, it's our new friends from the Isle. I didn't expect the two of you to tryout." Audrey said surprised.
"Trust me, I'm not. She is though." Mal said pointing to Evie.
"Is it ok if she watches?" Evie asked.
"Sure, why not?" Audrey said keeping a smile plastered on her face, making Mal feel unsettled. "Why don't you go first?"
"Pom poms." Evie said holding her hand out while Mal went to sit on the bleachers. A girl with very long blond hair handed them over to Evie.
"Do you know the Auradon Prep cheer?"
"I was thinking of doing one from the Isle if you don't mind."
"Audrey, I don't know about this," Another girl whispered.
"Let's at least humor her, Ben said we have to be nice. Besides, if she messes up in front of everyone, we won't have to deal with her." Audrey, whispered back. "Whenever you're ready, Evie was it?"
"B! I! T! E! What's that spell? Bite, bite, bite! Speak no words we'll cause a fright. What's a bark without a bite?" Evie cried leaving all the cheerleaders looking on surprised.
"Is it me or-" One girl started.
"Doesn't that sound just like-" Another, identical continued.
"Our cheer?" A third identical girl finished.
"Evie, didn't you say that came from Isle?" Audrey asked.
"Yeah, all the cheerleaders back at our school on the Isle would do that cheer."
"Well, she already practically knows the cheer," Audrey said to other girls. "You're in." She told Evie.
"Really?" Evie asked, "Who would've seen that coming?" She asked smugly.
"Can I go now?" Mal asked.
"Come on, a little more," Carlos said reaching upwards trying to grab a book on the top shelf in the library. "Just a little more," He said standing on his toes before a another hand grabbed the book. "Hey, I was-" He said turning around and seeing Chad holding it out to him. "Uh, thanks." He said with a blush. "Are you studying too?"
"I was, but I need to head out to the football field. Cheerleaders are finishing up so I need to get going here soon." He told the younger boy.
"Oh, ok." Carlos said has he began to walk back to his table."
"You sure you don't wanna try out? Not too late." Chad said still walking with him.
"I'm sure, thanks though."
"Alright, I'll see you around." Chad said with a smile as he headed out. Carlos sighed as he watched him leave.
"I wouldn't bother if I were you, Chad's nothing but a player." A girl with a british accent told him from the other side of the table.
"And that means?" Carlos asked sitting down.
"It means, he likes to date around." She told him. "He's only a junior and he's had seven different girlfriends since he got here."
"Who are you and how do you know so much?"
"Ally Wasikowska, at your service." She said reaching out her hand. He looked down at her hand before looking back at her face. "Right, Isle kid, my mistake. Anyway, my mother was, let's say very close to his father when the were our age and Chad is showing the exact same signs." She informed the boy.
"You're a weird girl, you know that?" Carlos told her.
"I'll have you know that's the nicest thing I've been called today." She said crossing her arms.
Jay was making his way through the library when he spotted Carlos chatting with a blonde. He smirked and walked over to where he was. "Hey bro, I need you to hold on to this for me." He said handing him a gold watch.
"Whose is this?" Carlos asked.
"It's yours now, I gotta get going." Jay said as he ran out.
"Tell me more about Chad." He said turning back to Ally.
"Alright go!" The coach yelled as the boys out in the field who started running the play. Ben passed the ball to Jay who tackled literally everyone out of the way even the ones on his team while the coach look on amazed. Jay ran straight for the end zone and made in. The coach blew his whistle and pointed at Jay. "Get over here." Jay and some of the other members ran up to him. "What do you call that?" He asked sounding angry.
"Um, winning?" Jay answered.
"I like your spirit." He responded. "Welcome to the team." Jay smirked as Chad glared at him intensely from behind.
Mal was on her way back to her room when she bumped into Jane once again. "Oh hey," She said with a fake Auradon smile. Jane looked scared but waved.
"Can I help you, Mal was it?" She asked, her voice shaking.
"I was just hoping to make a new friend. Not that you'd know, you probably have more friends than you know what to do with."
"Not exactly. I do have one really good friend, her name's Ally. You have great hair." She said.
Mal looked at her hair and smiled. "I know, how about you come with me. I'm sure Evie could give you a makeover."
"Really? You guys would do that?" She asked excitedly.
"Why wouldn't we? We're in Auradon now aren't we?" Mal said as they walked back to her dorm room.
Carlos was walking in the woods near the school. He wanted some time to think for himself, and just wanted some fresh air. He was about to head back to his dorm when he heard footsteps near him. He figured that it was just another student until he heard them moving fast or like they more than two legs. He began to walk the path faster as he grew nervous. The footsteps grew closer and closer. He turned around and saw what he was warned by his mother to avoid at all costs.
"Is that a d-dog?" Carlos asked. The small creature moved towards him and he wasted no time sprinting down the path. He came across a tree with a low hanging branch and grabbed onto it to climb on top. The dog sat on the ground and barked up at the frightened teen.
"Dude? Where'd you get off to?" Carlos heard Ben calling from not far off.
"Ben?" Carlos called out. Ben jogged up and saw the scenario that had unfolded in front of him.
"Come here boy," Ben said picking the dog up. "Are you stuck?" He asked, looking up at Carlos.
"Nope, just avoiding that." He said pointing at the dog in the prince's hands.
"You mean Dude? He's just my dog. Sorry if he scared you, but I've never met anyone that's afraid of dogs before."
"Seriously, no one in Auradon's afraid of vicious, rapid, pack animals?" Carlos asked as he dropped down.
"Who told you that?" Ben asked.
"My mother," Carlos told him.
"Cruella?"
"No, my other one, yes Cruella."
"Carlos you've never met a dog have you?" Ben asked, laughing a bit.
"Of course not."
"Come here, just let him lick your hand."
"What? Are you insane, let him get a taste?"
"I got him, don't worry." Ben reassured him. Carlos stepped closer slowly.
"He doesn't look like a rabid pack animal." Carlos muttered. "He's actually pretty cute." He said as Dude began to lick his fingers. Carlos smiled a little bit as he began to pet Dude's head.
"Here, why don't you take him for the day? Get to know each other a bit." Ben said handing the dog over to Carlos.
"Wow! This looks amazing!" Jane said admiring her hair in the mirror, the once straight, and boring hair she kept in a ponytail was now long and waving with a silvery blue streak going through it. "Thanks so much you guys!" Jane said turning back to Mal and Evie.
"No problem, I wasn't really planning on doing my homework anyway." Evie told her.
"That was a joke right?" She asked.
"O-oh of course." She said with a fake laugh.
"I gotta go, but thanks again." Jane said, leaving their dorm.
"Why did you have me do that?" Evie asked Mal who was doodling in her sketch book.
"E, her mom's in charge of the school. The school where the prince is attending. Need me to continue or can you put the pieces together now?" Mal asked sarcastically.
"Oh I get, we make Jane happy and her mom becomes happy." Evie said.
"Which makes Ben proud of use for being so good," Mal continued.
"And he'll dump that girlfriend of his which puts me one step closer to the throne." Evie finished.
"You?" Mal asked.
"I'm the obvious choice. Carlos is nice and all, but Ben likes girls and it's not like you even like hi yourself." Evie told her. Mal was about to protest when she heard rustling in the bushes.
"Did you hear that?"
"Oh my Chernabog, you're dodging the question, you totally like him." Evie accused.
"No listen," Mal said, as they both grew quiet. They sound from below of bushes rustling came again.
"What do you think it is?" Evie asked.
"Only one way to find out." Mal said walking up to the window. "Who's down there?" Mal shouted. They saw a figure running sprinting through campus. "I don't think so!" Mal said as she began to climb down.
"Wait Mal, you'll be late for dinner in the main hall." Evie told her. "Ben will be suspicious."
"Tell him something, you're great at lying." Mal said as she went down and ran after the figure. Mal chased her through the courtyard and eventually she saw them run off campus. Better make this fast. She thought. If anyone finds out I'm running off campus this late, I'll be dead by morning. Mal continued the chase into the woods and eventually ran them into a dead end. "Who are you? And what were you doing outside our room?" Mal demanded. The figure before her stepped out into the light. Mal immediately recognized her. With her dark hair and crimson skirt. "Well if it isn't Ginny Gothel. What are you doing in Auradon?"
"Whoever I want." She said in her flirtatious voice.
Ginny Gotherl is modeled after Rowan Blanchard
