Here is the twentieth Supplement for the Heart in 'Winning Takes Heart', released in the right moment in the Hearts timeline. So, for those wondering, this Supplement takes place between Parts CLV and CLVI during the journey from Pierre's party to Snowbelle City and the next Supplement will also be set during this journey though after Part CLVI to break things up and Part CLVI is a good transition chapter for sure. The only thing left to say here is that this is probably one of two pieces in this series, the other being Part CLVI actually, that draws the most from the canon material though in this case there is one major change that I am sure y'all can guess at. However, that is all the administrative stuff I have and as there are no guest reviews to respond or questions to answer from the last Supplement so I will leave this off here. Do keep the reviews coming though. Anyway, that is all I have so I will end this note here which means that it is time to sit back, relax, and enjoy the Winning's twentieth Supplement For the Heart: Becoming Ash.

Disclaimer: I do not own Pokémon.

Becoming Ash

The sun had been up for several hours, and breakfast was almost ready, but Ash still had yet to come out of his tent while everyone else had already gotten up long ago. That alone wasn't too much of a concern as Ash had been up until almost dawn training hard in the stream they were currently camped next to with his newly evolved Greninja and Pikachu.

They had to get ready for the Wallace Cup and Snowbelle Gym that was on the horizon for them, along with another side festival they'd come across along the way, so naturally they'd be training hard for it. However, there was a concern because of where he'd been training given the cold stream had ended up soaking him.

It was a few days after the party at Pierre's and the battles there which was what was causing the intense training regime that Ash and his Pokémon were undertaking. Ash's Frogadier had finally evolved during the tag battle that he, Miette, May, and Serena had all been selected for during the party and then almost instantly Greninja had, well they still weren't sure what he'd done, but the closest equivalent was Mega Evolution, but they also knew that it wasn't true Mega Evolution.

They'd known since right after Ash's battle with Olympia in Anistar that if Frogadier evolved, one that would occur in a battle where one wasn't supposed to be which turned out to be Pierre's place, then he'd have some generational ability that caused something called the Battle Bond phenomenon to occur. It seemed that the Battle Bond phenomenon was akin to Mega Evolution in how it powered up Greninja past his normal level and he changed though not as much as in Mega Evolution, though they weren't sure how much as he had this strange water veil around him when it occurred in the battle.

Regardless it had come at just the right moment and Ash used that, along with Greninja's two new moves he'd learned upon evolving and his newly added dark type, to turn the tables and beat May and Serena in the battle. However, during it May had Mega Evolved her Blaziken and landed a Sky Uppercut, a super effective attack on Greninja that Ash had actually felt. It hadn't knocked out Greninja, but it had shocked him though Ash still pushed through it and won the battle. Then the second strange thing occurred when Ash collapsed from exhaustion as if he'd actually been the one in the battle.

It was all strange and they knew very little about it but put it on the back burner while they watched the other battle, an epic double battle between Lucy and Aria dubbed the Battle of the Queens. Lucy won the battle handily using her own strategy, but the shock was that in the aftermath Aria knelt before Lucy and laid her tiara at Lucy's feet thus recognizing her as the better Queen that night.

All that had stunned the crowd, but they recovered, and the rest of the night was spent socializing as Aria finally got to meet Ash and Dawn properly after hearing stories of them from May and Serena. That and of course knowing what they'd done in helping discover the still unexplained emergence of the fairy type.

The rest of that night was spent recovering, talking, and having a good time before they moved onto the next big adventure in Snowbelle City. For this leg Clemont had decided to join them as he needed to get back to Lumiose City and his duties there while also giving him a chance to study the Battle Bond phenomenon. Bonnie had opted to accompany them as well so as to spend some time with her brother, Serena and May while Max and Owen went off to find the last of the candies Owen wanted to allow for his Milcery to chose her evolution color as he put it. She'd resume traveling with them after Snowbelle.

As for the others present who were also going to be in or at least attending the Wallace Cup they had left for their own things. Shauna and Miette had headed out alone to do some personal training for a few days on their own respectively before making the trip to Snowbelle to meet them at the special welcoming event that Wallace and the Committee were throwing to celebrate the Cup's arrival in a new region.

Meanwhile Lyra and Khoury were off straight to Snowbelle to give Lyra another shot at the gym there before the Cup closed down the gym. Lastly, Brock and Lucy had headed off to check out a honeymoon spot near Couriway and would backtrack in time for the Cup.

However, the most interesting of the lot had been Tierno and Trevor. The pair were heading to a place called Joule Town, one of the few larger towns between Couriway and Snowbelle, for what the town called the Festival of Lights, a festival that honored and celebrated electric types. Apparently the town had some tie to the Kanto legendary bird Zapdos and held this festival every few years in part to worship him and thank electricity for what it did for the world. As such Tierno was going there for his Raichu while Trevor wanted to take pictures of it as it wasn't a yearly thing.

Naturally upon hearing that, and that there would be at least 3 events during the day with prizes for the winners, Ash and Clemont instantly wanted to go there for it as well. It was going to be before the Wallace Cup with enough time to hit it and make it to Snowbelle afterwards, but it was a little out of the way, so they were taking a detour from their main route for it and a fun side adventure there during their travels. Bonnie and Dawn also had electric types, so they were going to enter as well.

However, May and Serena didn't have any, so they opted to skip and head on to Snowbelle in advance to help get things ready there while also having some time to themselves to a break from the heartache seeing Ash and Dawn being so cute together at the party. It was needed for them, and this side adventure provided the perfect opportunity for it which of course Dawn understood, and Ash had no idea what was going on.

Therefore, Ash was training Pikachu for the upcoming festival as there would likely be a battle part and was training Greninja because he'd just evolved. They still hadn't managed to recreate the change again despite some training battles between Greninja and Clemont's Luxray, May's Blaziken both normal and Mega Evolved, Serena's Rhydon, and Dawn's Machamp. As such they didn't have much to go on with how the phenomenon worked. That said Clemont did have one theory as to how to at least how long it could last, stamina and more specifically Ash's stamina.

It made sense, the phenomenon had drained Ash's energy somehow and he'd had to be supported by Dawn for the rest of the party. Why he felt the pain and saw through Greninja's eyes at times, as well as occasionally matching his movements, was still unclear, however.

Clemont was working on a device for that, some sort of set of watch-like things for both of them to wear that would monitor them in some scientific way only Clemont understood, but that would help out apparently. In the meantime, Ash was working out with Greninja when not training so that they could increase their stamina together as well as try to get more in sync because that seemed like it might help. They would master this phenomenon, they knew it.

All that had ended up with the training in the stream the night before that got Ash wet. He'd even sneezed while they tried to tell him to be careful and dry off to avoid getting sick. Now he wasn't up from the tent he shared with Clemont in their makeshift camp of 3 tents and they were starting to get a little worried.

As Clemont now traveling with them Ash was sharing with him while Dawn shared with May and Serena with Bonnie. It was also thanks to Clemont that they had a proper folding table and stools as well as some strange cooking contraption that Dawn still didn't know how he fit it in his bag, but which May, and Serena didn't question after a year of traveling with Clemont, with them in their camp.

"We should get him up." Dawn finally said looking to the tent, it had been odd not sharing a tent with him the last few days, but she understood why it was necessary that Ash and Clemont share given their current makeup. "He'll miss breakfast and then we'll know that something is wrong, Ash never misses a meal."

"I'll go and check in a moment." Clemont said. "Once…"

Clemont didn't get to finish his statement when the high-tech tent that he had opened up and Ash, wearing nothing but a tank top and sleeping shorts, staggered out of it. Instantly they all knew that something was up as Ash was moving sluggishly and he look red, and they all knew that Ash Ketchum was too dense to get embarrassed dressed like that.

Almost as soon as Ash staggered out Dawn was out of her seat and rushing over to him in time to catch Ash as he fell forward, supporting him in her arms as best she could while the others gathered around them. Almost as soon as Dawn had him supported against her breast then she could feel it. Her foolish boyfriend hadn't bothered to dry off the night before and now he was feverish just like he'd been in Lavender Town the year before though this didn't feel as bad as it had back then.

"Ash, are you ok?" Serena asked worried.

"He doesn't look good." May said concerned for her friend.

"He's feverish." Dawn said sounding worried. "He must have caught it the night before when he didn't properly dry himself after getting wet and its hitting him now."

"Yes, now's our chance, now, now." Ash suddenly muttered sounding a little delirious as he spoke. "I, I, I…"

"Ash what is up, you weren't like this last time." Dawn said. "Well, you did mutter in your sleep, but you just passed out when the fever took you. What are you trying to say?"

"Iron Tail, Pikachu." Ash said as he finally collapsed to the ground though Dawn managed to get him into a sitting position as he did.

"What do we do?" Clemont asked worried now. "He's definitely sick."

"He has a fever because he got soaked last night." Dawn repeated. "He had one last year in Lavender Town because he didn't dry off in the rain, mixed with us being rather aggressive in our travels for a few weeks and some asshole trainer who'd abandoned a Gengar, so I know what to do from that. First things first is that we get him back to bed."

The others nodded and they helped get Ash to the tent and into his sleeping bag, his clothes folded neatly near him, while Dawn, Serena, May, Clemont, Bonnie, Pikachu, Piplup, and Dedenne all crowded around him leaving very little free space in the tent. Serena put a wash cloth on his head, but it began to heat up really quickly and had to be cooled off in a bowl of cold water they'd brought in with them and reapplied it.

"Right, we need some medicine for his cold." Dawn said looking around. "Though, um, I don't know this area at all so any help will be appreciated."

"One sec." Serena said as she pulled out the device she used to keep track of everything around them and looked at it closely. "Yes, there's a pharmacy in a town that is just south of here. That should have what we need."

"Right then Serena, you, Clemont and May go and get the stuff." Dawn said. "You three know the area best so can do so fastest."

"On it." May said understanding that this wasn't Dawn being insecure about leaving Ash alone with one of them, she was fine with that as she trusted all of them, but being really worried about Ash so sending those three made the most sense. "We'll get it as quickly as possible."

"Bonnie, help me look after Ash." Dawn said to the little girl as the other three left the tent. "Between the two of us and our Pokémon we should be able to keep his comfortable and safe while the others are gone."

"Nurse Bonnie will not disappoint." Bonnie said and for some reason Dawn got the feeling that this wasn't Bonnie's first rodeo and that she had a nurses outfit somewhere for such situations, not that Dawn herself didn't have one or two as well but sometimes they used them for other things. "Just let me know what you need me to do Dawn."

"I know you won't." Dawn said with a smile as she crawled to the opening to let out her Pokémon that were currently with her. "Alright guys, Ash is sick so let's all pitch in to help."

Her Pokémon nodded and all set about helping. Given their sizes, Malamar and Machamp had to be on the outside helping with the water and making sure the area was secure while Piplup, Helioptile and Ninetales helped inside though the latter did make the space a little cramped. As this was happening, Bonnie took Dawn's last Pokémon on her, Dragalge, to the water to work with Dedenne and her Flabébé in making sure that Malamar got the best to take to Ash.

All was going really well up until the moment Dawn thought it was and that was the moment it suddenly didn't. She was just thinking how things were going to be ok and that Ash was comfortable and stable when a power cord from an electric guitar with an amp cranked up to full volume was strum surprising them and causing them all to leave the tent and look at the newcomer with a mix of surprise, annoyance, and anger.

"What the hell is that?" Dawn asked annoyed as she opened the tent and clambered out to see who was there and found Bonnie and her Pokémon staring in surprise at the person who'd shown up while Machamp seemed to be restraining a clearly annoyed Malamar. "Um…rephrase, who is that?"

Standing several feet away on the grass a boy around their age shredding an electric guitar like some wannabe rocker as he made the infernal racket and that was the most normal thing about him. His appearance, well that was odd even by the standards that Dawn was used to running into with Ash.

The teen was dressed all in black with black pants that had deliberate rips in the thighs, a black best over a black tank top leaving his arms bare showing the pair of shallow v shaped brown markings on his biceps and yellow boots with black toes and two red circles on them. He accessorized it with yellow fingerless gloves that had a black cuff with spikes on it, a black choker with a lightning bolt pendant, and an actual portable speaker on his back with what looked like replica Pikachu ears on the top corners. Then there was his face and hair which was something else entirely.

The guy had done his face up in full makeup like a rocker only with his own style as it was all white, including his ears, with black over his eyes in circles, a yellow heart shaped look in the center and red circles on his cheeks just like a Pikachu's cheek sacs. As for his hair it was naturally a dark yellow it seemed and cut close to the scalp except for a mohawk down the middle that was dyed bright yellow and done in 5 spikes. It was all clearly a rocker style homage to a Pikachu.

That homage continued with his guitar. It looked like a standard electric guitar in style with the cord connecting to the speaker or amp thing on his back, but the color was yellow with black tips, a white center and red circles along with a replica of a Pikachu's head on the end. Clearly subtly was a foreign concept to this man.

Of course, it also made sense that there was a strong looking Pikachu rocking out to the music he was loudly strumming next to him. The Pikachu was a lot like Ash's and as it had a flat tail Dawn knew that it was male, a gender difference with Pikachus that she'd not realized until her second time traveling with Ash even if she didn't actually know what a female's tail looked like, though this Pikachu was much more energetic than Ash's and had his hair spiked in a similar mohawk to his trainer's. Ash's Pikachu just looked at it in confusion with a cocked head as the other Pikachu headbanged alongside his trainer.

"Will you shut up!" Dawn yelled over the music and hating having to be so loud. "You're not helping anyone."

"Shredding guitar on the road is my gig!" The boy yelled as he strummed as a response that only served to annoy Dawn even more. "Being Jimmy the Pikachu trainer is toooooo!"

"What on earth?" Dawn asked as Bonnie just stared at the boy, Jimmy apparently, in confusion. "I figured that given your oh so subtle style but that still doesn't answer why you are here and making that Arceus damned noise."

"Oh yeah does that Pikachu travel with Ash Ketchum of Pallet Town?" Jimmy asked as he noticed the Pikachu that he'd heard of from those strange people he'd run into earlier and ended up battling and sending flying when they attacked him though as they were blasting off they had said that his Pikachu wasn't as strong as the twerp's who Jimmy took to be Ash's. "Word has it that it's really strong and tough to beat."

"Er yeah he is." Dawn said a little unsure what was going on as Jimmy got close to them his tongue out as he spoke for some reason. "I've traveled with him and Ash for years, I've seen him beat many Pokémon a Pikachu shouldn't be able to beat and heard of a fair few more in addition to that."

"Oh yeah! I can't believe that I found them in a flash and right after hearing about them." Jimmy said as he began to strum again clearly excited and pouring it into his music. "I am so awesome!"

"Pika pika." His Pikachu said just as happy and still rocking out with the music. "Pika, pi, pika."

"Could you please stop that an…." Dawn began.

"Let me guess you're one of his buddies, am I right?" Jimmy said with a grin. "Both of you are."

"I'm his girlfriend and this is our friend Bonnie." Dawn said. "But the thing is…"

"Alright then listen up." Jimmy said clearly pleased to find Ash as he began to strum again with his tongue out as his Pikachu rocked even harder beside him. "I want you to give Ash a message from me. Yeahhhhh! I'm so into Pikachu that I only battle with my Pikachu and no other Pokémon! And, if I hear that there's a strong Pikachu out west I go out that-a-way. Same if there is a strong Pikachu out east. I will go anywhere to prove that my Pikachu can't be beat."

"I get that, and you've found a strong Pikachu here." Dawn said. "But can you please just…"

"Hey Ash from Pallet Town." Jimmy said clearly ignoring Dawn now. "I challenge you to a rocking and rolling Pokémon battle! And not just any battle, I'm talking about full on Pikachu against Pikachu to see who has the strongest Pikachu."

As it ended Jimmy got even louder, how the boy wasn't deaf yet was a miracle though it would explain why he seemed to be hard of hearing when Dawn tried to speak to him, as his Pikachu continued to rock out with him. All Dawn could do was cover her ears and glare at the man while her Pokémon either did the same or in Malamar's case had to be reminded that she couldn't throttle the annoying human after beating him with that loud stick of his to silence it no matter how much he deserved it.

"Just shut up already." Dawn yelled but she wasn't heard over the noise that was dangerously close to waking up Ash in his sick state while he should be resting. "You're making things worse right now."

"Ash it is time for battle!" Jimmy said his Pikachu now rocking so hard that he was getting dizzy next to him which didn't seem like it was a good tactic for an upcoming battle. "I want you to show me you and your Pikachu's amazing skills that I've heard so much about."

"Alright I'll get him for you if you will just shut up." Dawn said realizing that this was the only way to stop the infernal racket that was assaulting her ears and giving into it. "Please, just stop the solo concert and you can have your battle."

"Really, you'll get him for me?" Jimmy asked suddenly stopping his strumming as Dawn just growled and glared at him.

"Yes I will now." Dawn said glad that the music was over for the moment. "Just wait right here for him but please be quiet while you wait."

Thankfully, Jimmy somehow did just that as he turned and began planning his battle out with his Pikachu. Bonnie just watched him with a confused look still on her face as Dawn recalled Malamar and Machamp, no point in risking her overly aggressive Overturning Pokémon getting to pissed off at the loud boy and struggling with Machamp as those tended to be destructive, and went into the tent again with Pikachu, Piplup, Helioptile and Ninetales were all around him looking at Ash as he had somehow slept through that racket.

This was not a good situation to be in right now. Ash was sick, what he needed was medicine and rest so that he'd be back up and fighting again for the Wallace Cup and Snowbelle Gym, not a Pokémon battle. Alas this was also Ash, if he knew that he'd been challenged then there was no way that he wouldn't go outside right now and battle despite his state. That was proven a second later when Ash appeared to wake up but only began mumbling about Greninja using an attack clearly training in his fever induced mind which was somehow just so Ash to do.

Then there was the loud nuisance outside. Dawn had seen the type before, though none as garishly dressed, brash, or loud as Jimmy, and she knew that he wouldn't leave until he got his battle. She'd tried to diffuse the situation and tell him what was going on, but he wouldn't listen which was how she'd ended up here in the first place. He'd seen Ash's Pikachu and already understood how strong he was, Jimmy wouldn't leave until he got to test that for himself.

Well, if that was the case, then there was only one thing for Dawn to do as her eyes fell on the pile of Ash's clothes. She'd be lying if she said she'd never wanted to wear her boyfriend's clothes before, though she'd rather the Sinnoh outfit as that was what he'd worn when they met, but this would do.

"Pikachu, hand me that medical tape." Dawn said pointing to the roll in the first aid kit they'd brought into the tent after Ash's collapse earlier as she took off her beanie with her other hand. "If I'm going to do this then I need to make sure it's done right so he doesn't realize. Thankfully, he doesn't strike me as the sharpest tool in the shed, just the loudest."

Pikachu just looked confused, but did as Dawn asked, she was Ash's mate, so he trusted her though why she was now taking her top off he didn't know. Still, he gave her the tape and turned away out of propriety, as did all her Pokémon lest they end up accidently setting Malamar off and the tent was too small for her to burst out in and start slapping Dawn, not that that would stop her or Machamp when he inevitably followed her to do just that.

Dawn just ignored this as she knelt in the tent and took her bra off. Then, using the tape, she tightly bound her own chest ensuring that her breasts were taped down as flat as possible so that she could pull this off. Fortunately, she wasn't particularly well endowed, probably the smallest of the three of them who travelled with Ash, so it wasn't too bad or discomforting though it was going to be a bitch to remove. For Ash and to get this annoying ass away from them she'd put up with it.

Once that was done she pulled on Ash's shirt, enjoying that it smelt like him, took her shorts and boots off so that she could pull on his pants and sneakers, and then sorted her hair out. Honestly, Serena would have been best here as she wasn't too much bigger than Dawn in the bust department and had short hair but there was no way in hell Dawn would let Serena dress up like Ash, at least not before she got the chance to do so first, so Dawn did what she could with her hair.

First she let all her hair down and then brushed it so that it was knot free and easier to manage. She then pulled it back so that it was all off her ears and using a clip that was in her bag she clipped it at the back of her head.

All those Contests in Sinnoh and the recent Showcases here in Kalos had helped Dawn master changing her hair style so that now it was off her ears and in a sheet down her back. She then took the sheet and at the nape of her neck tied it off with a hair tie before tucking it, and her locket, under Ash's shirt. That should be enough and as she put on Ash's hat she was positive that it would hold though she'd have to keep the hat low to help hide her face.

With all that done she removed the cuff on her upper right bicep where her Ability Symbol was as it wouldn't fit under both the shirt and Ash's sweatshirt and put it in her bag hating having it off but understanding why. She also took off the half sleeve she wore on her left forearm to hide the scar there.

The diagonal red line that ran all the way from just above her wrist to just below her elbow wasn't something she was ashamed off, it was the result of finally getting rid of Kenny when Ash defended her honor, but it could be off putting to others, so she covered it up most of the time. Now it would help fool Jimmy as it was something different from what he'd seen when he'd arrived.

Lastly Dawn pulled on his short-sleeved sweatshirt thing and zipped it up and put on Ash's fingerless gloves. She was now fully Ash though she left his Poke Balls here for obvious reasons.

She was ready and peaked out to the tent to see that Jimmy was over by the table talking with his Pikachu and not looking her way. That gave her the moment to get out and step forward with Pikachu who, while he found this whole thing strange, at least was willing to go along with this as he understood that the loud boy and his fellow Pikachu wouldn't leave without a battle. As for Dawn's Pokémon, they were all looking none too thrilled with what she'd just done.

Helioptile looked worried, Piplup resigned as he hoped he wouldn't get hurt by Dawn's shenanigans this time, and Ninetales just turned around and walked to a bush at the base of a nearby tree to bury his head in it and ignore the latest round of what in Arceus's name is his human doing this time. It also didn't help that the moment Dragalge saw her from the river he opted to dive underwater from embarrassment, which given how shallow the water was was impressive, and Malamar and Machamp burst out of their Poke Balls and off to the side fighting almost as soon as they were out of the tent.

Only the situation at hand prevented Malamar from repeatedly slapping her human who she cared deeply for until she came to her senses. What in Arceus's holy name had possessed her to wear her mate's clothes to deal with this irritation who'd walked in was beyond her when all Dawn had to do was face him with her, she'd thrash his Pikachu and send them both away. However, it was clear that this was the only way to do it so she stilled her tentacles for now, later her human would get it and her glare would have told Dawn this, but she had her back to Malamar right now.

Bonnie meanwhile was just as confused as her Pokémon as she looked at Dawn dressed as Ash. This was new and might be something she was too young to understand, still, she was willing to play along for now at least and who knows maybe have a few jokes about it at Dawn's expense at the same time.

"Here I am." Dawn said as she did her best to lower her voice to be more masculine as Jimmy grinned having turned at the sound to see who he thought was Ash standing there in a battle pose not noticing the Pokémon around 'Ash' and their reactions to the situation. "I'm Ash Ketchum from Pallet Town."

"What are you doing?" Bonnie asked as she tugged on Ash's sweatshirt that Dawn was now wearing causing Dawn to kneel down and address her. "Please tell me this isn't some older teen thing I'd have to be worried about when I find Clemont his wife."

"It's the only way to get him to stop being loud so that Ash can actually recover in peace." Dawn whispered. "I'll keep him occupied with the battle that he wants to have while we wait for the others so that Ash can get better. Then he can give Jimmy a proper battle that he deserves. Please keep an eye on him for me while I delay Jimmy."

"Alright." Bonnie said as Dawn stood up. "And good luck, 'Ash'."

Dawn just grinned at that. She wasn't embarrassed to be dressing like Ash for this. This was for him after all, and it was time to shut this loud mouth up.

"What do you think kid? Jimmy asked glad to finally be having his battle with another strong Pikachu that he'd come here for. "What do you think of my Pikachu, he's the strongest of the strongest. He's the ultimate Pikachu. Here's Spike, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeahhhhhhhh!"

"Pika, pika, pika, pika." Jimmy's Pikachu said as Jimmy began to strum hard again, and it turned out was nicknamed Spike, while he also began to rock out again.

Dawn just coolly glared at him glad that he was buying her act. She'd have to apologize to him later and explain why she'd had to do this but for now this was the best course of action to take. It was time to do this for Ash and Pikachu seemed to understand her desire and voiced his support for it as well. Well, that and he did want to fight the other Pikachu as he did look strong, and Pikachu had his own reputation within his species to uphold after all.

"Alright Pikachu, let's go." Dawn said as Pikachu voiced his support and Dawn began to channel all she'd seen of Ash that had made her fall in love with him so that she could briefly become him and win this. "I choose you!"

"Pikachu." Pikachu said enthusiastically as he leapt forward to stand on all fours in front of Dawn ready for the battle.

"Excellent." Jimmy almost sang as he strummed grinning at the battle that was about to commence. "You got the first move Ash."

"Now Pikachu, use Quick Attack." Dawn said starting the battle off with a classic move of Pikachu's that had the added bonus of being a contact move so his Static might trigger from it.

"Same here, use Quick Attack as well Spike." Jimmy said as Pikachu began to run as fast as he could at his fellow Pikachu. "Show him that you are faster."

Spike did the same a second later, charging at Pikachu with a burst of speed before the Pikachus leapt in the air almost simultaneously to collide with each other closer to Jimmy than Dawn because Pikachu had started slightly earlier than Spike. They both hit and bounced off each other in a test of speed and strength that did average damage and flipped them back to land on all fours and skid across the grass.

"You're quick for sure." Jimmy said somehow able to play his guitar and coordinate his battle at the same time which was more annoying because Dawn had hoped that he'd stop playing while he battled. "The word on the street about your Pikachu is straight up and I'm getting stoked!"

"Pikachu." Spike said grinning in agreement, this other Pikachu was easily a match for him in the speed and raw strength department. "Pi, Pikachu."

"Well, it looks like you aren't just a loud mouth blowhard after all." Dawn said adjusting Ash's hat. "You can back up your bravado, not bad as I know plenty who can't do that."

"Pikachu." Pikachu said seriously, it had been a while since one of his own fellow Pikachus could match him like this and now he was determined to win.

"I'll give it to Jimmy." Dawn said as Jimmy continued to rock out with his tongue out for some reason so was now not listening to her. "His Pikachu is well trained."

"Now Spike, use Thunder Punch." Jimmy said using a move that Dawn recognized but knew that Ash's Pikachu didn't know.

"Dodge it and counter with Thunderbolt." Dawn said almost instantly as Spike leapt at his fellow Pikachu with his fist cocked back and sparking with electricity. "Show off your best move."

While Pikachus were great for close combat moves as physical contact could trigger their Static ability, with enough space and speed, which Ash's had right now, they could easily avoid an attack and he did just that leaping high into the air to avoid the punch and charging himself with electricity as he did. This was his best move and his favorite; it was time to show it off to his brother Pikachu.

"Pikachu." Pikachu roared as he unleased the Thunderbolt but Jimmy just grinned.

"Avoid that with Dig." Jimmy said. "And counter."

"Wait what?" Dawn asked her eyes wide as Spike leapt up, spun with his tail pointed directly down at the ground and fell towards it. "Since when can a Pikachu use that?"

It was a seriously clever move to teach a Pikachu and one that Ash had clearly never thought about. Not only did Spike manage to avoid the Thunderbolt by slamming into the ground and digging right as the Thunderbolt reached him, but it was also a ground type move, the only type super effective against a pure electric type like Pikachu.

It was an evasion move, hard to defend against, and powerful. Still, Pikachu had his ways to counter it and hopefully Dawn would understand that as he landed on all fours while Spike dug under him.

"Pikachu." Pikachu said flexing his tail to give her a hint.

Dawn saw that as she looked at the ground and thought hard. She'd watched all of Ash's battles since they'd gotten together after the Johto Grand Festival, along with so many before that in Sinnoh and briefly Unova, so she tapped into that knowledge now. She knew Ash well and knew his style, his rather out of the box style that allowed him to turn the tables and control a battlefield how he wanted to.

It was the last part that hit Dawn and she grinned at the very Ash-like idea that come into her mind. Controlling the battlefield was key but not in the way Ash would usually do, though this was totally a tactic that he'd use so she was going to have to tell him about it later, which meant that it was time to show Jimmy how Ash Ketchum battled.

"Iron Tail." Dawn ordered holding her hand out. "Use it on the ground before the Dig ends."

"Pikachu." Pikachu said with a grin that Dawn had caught onto what he wanted and leapt into the air, his tail turning to steel in the process, before he flipped down as fast as possible.

Pikachu was faster than Spike and slammed his tail into he ground as hard as he could. The force of the impact cratered the ground around him, and Spike let out a shocked yell as he was suddenly thrown into the air by ground all around him being displaced and his Dig defended against, as well as making it harder for him to use the move again. All Dawn did was grin as she saw the other Pikachu in the air and knew this was her shot.

"What was that?" Jimmy asked shocked that his tactic had been so effectively countered and in a way he'd never expected to see in a battle. "Who thinks of something like that in a battle?"

"Thunderbolt." Dawn said ignoring Jimmy as she pressed her advantage.

"Pikachu." Pikachu said as he blasted out his attack, this time not missing as the electricity slammed into his fellow Pikachu's chest while he was still in the air from the failed Dig attack.

Spike let out a wail though it was more out of annoyance than pain as he was thrown back to land hard in front of his trainer, kicking up a cloud of dust in the process. Dawn just smirked at that while her Pokémon who weren't either hiding in embarrassment or plotting violent corrective measures for her cheered the sight. Those cheers continued until the smoke cleared to show Spike there on all fours grinning and appearing unharmed. He was resistant to his own type, as well as steel, so Dawn should have used Quick Attack, but she'd gone with range which meant that this battle was far from over.

"Are you ok?" Jimmy asked.

"Pika." Spike said with a grin.

"Rock on!" Jimmy said with a grin and another power cord to punctuate his statement. "This is just what I've been searching all of Kalos for, a Pikachu that can truly rival my own."

"You just wait." Dawn said grinning at how her plan had worked just as it would have for Ash, she'd really learned a lot from him for sure. "You haven't seen all that I can do. I didn't earn my reputation for nothing."

"Excellent, just what I want to hear." Jimmy said grinning back at her. "Show me what that Pikachu can really do while I show you what Spike can do."

Unbeknownst to either of them May, Serena, and Clemont had successfully retrieved the medicine for Ash from a pharmacy in the nearby town and had hurried back with it. They had plenty and soon Ash would be better and they could get back on schedule, after scolding him for getting himself sick first of course.

At least that was the plan until they neared the campsite and slowed down at what they started to see before them. They were still in the wooded area that bordered where they had set up camp and stared in confusion at the sight of what looked like Ash standing there with Pikachu battling as if he was fully healthy again. It was his hat and clothes alright, but it was as they neared they noticed what was really going on and stopped dead to stare at who was actually before them.

True it was Ash's clothes but the hair under the hat was dark blue not black, the skin much paler than Ash's tanned complexion, and the eyes matched the hair. There was also a long, red, scar on the person's left forearm and the sight of a Ninetales trying to hide in shame, an exasperated Piplup that seemed to be on edge for some reason, a confused Helioptile, and Malamar being restrained by Machamp put it all together for them.

In reality though it was obvious that it was Dawn dressed as Ash for some reason and battling some seriously rocker themed, Pikachu obsessed dude and his own Pikachu with Ash's who seemed really into it as well. In addition, Bonnie and her Pokémon were nowhere to be seen though as Clemont looked around in worry he caught Machamp's eye, and the fighting type used one of his hands to point to the tent to reassure him that his sister was ok and looking after Ash.

Still, none of them could understand what crazy, Ash related, shenanigans they had missed while simply going to get medicine but then again they should have expected everything up to Arceus himself appearing as a possibility while they were away knowing Ash. Then there was the other thing that the two girls noted to each other as they watch the scene before them.

"Is it just me or are you also really jealous that Dawn's gotten the chance to dress as Ash and pretend to be him." Serena whispered as they began to approach the scene just as it seemed the battle was about to kick up a gear. "Somehow I really want to do that too."

"No, it's me as well." May admitted though she did glance down at her large bosom as she spoke. "But it is clear that Dawn's tapped or wrapped her girls to make sure she can pass as Ash and, well, that's not as easy for me to do. Still, I would like to dress like Ash once and it's all the more authentic right now as Dawn is wearing his actual clothes."

"Bring it on." Dawn said in response to the last thing that Jimmy had said not noticing the others arriving though they noticed her attempt to lower her voice. "I'll show you why my Pikachu is the strongest out there."

"Um Dawn?" Serena asked as they approached. "Why are you wearing Ash's…"

Serena didn't get to finish before Dawn let out a shriek that was impressive in its volume and masking abilities, something Serena felt that she herself could do but not Dawn, while waving her arms around confusing them and Jimmy in the process. This was not part of Dawn's plan at all, she had been planning on stalling of course but she'd forgotten that the others wouldn't have understood what was going on when they returned as Jimmy had arrived after them and when you factored in the crushes of May and Serena, well it was going to get some comments.

"Why are you though?" May asked creating another round of shrieks from Dawn that Pikachu joined in on this time.

"Are they your friends?" Jimmy asked now understanding why there were so many places at the table that had been set up, there were others here that no doubt gone out for supplies while Ash did the proper thing and trained with his powerful Pikachu. "Cool they can watch Spike prove that he's the strongest Pikachu."

"What my friends?" Dawn said her voice slipping back to normal briefly as she glanced at them and between the confusion on Clemont's face and the unamused looks on May's and Serena's who stood there with their arms crossed as they gave Dawn matching cool looks before she readjusted her voice and turned back to Jimmy. "Right, yes they are my friends who were out getting things when you arrived. One sec, sorry."

Jimmy seemed to understand as Dawn practically leapt over to the three and lowered her voice to a whisper while also restoring it to normal seeing as Jimmy wouldn't be able to hear her. It wasn't easy affecting a masculine tone and her vocal cords were starting to get a bit sore from it.

"Did you get the medicine?" Dawn whispered to them.

"Yeah we did, Ash will be better in no time." Clemont asked still confused by what was going on. "But, um, what about you?"

"Yeah why are you dressed like that." May asked her voice dripping with curiosity. "This had better not be something you two keep behind closed doors."

"Yes, do tell Dawn." Serena added in the same tone. "Why are you wearing Ash's clothes."

"One I can dress as my boyfriend if I like for whatever reason I may have and two, and more importantly, he challenged Ash and Pikachu to a battle." Dawn said. "And he wouldn't listen when I tried to explain things so this was the only way to get him to quiet down so that Ash could rest while you guys got the medicine and returned. Bonnie is looking after him right now."

"I think I get it." Clemont said while May just sighed, and Serena looked enviously at Dawn for getting to wear Ash's clothes even if the Sinnoh girl did have the most right to do so as his girlfriend. "Just leave the rest to us. He'll be up in no time."

"This is Ash, we should have expected some random side adventure like this." May said resigned to what was going on. "We are overdue for something odd like this after all so may as well just let it play out. Who knows, maybe some legendary will randomly appear just to be the icing on whatever is going on right now."

"Yeah it was bound to happen which is why I went with it as soon as I realized that it was the best course of action." Dawn said. "But alright thanks."

"Yup come on let's go." Clemont said hurrying up. "We need to get the medicine in him as soon as possible."

"Yeah gotta help Dawn cool off and get that fever down." May said smirking at Dawn as she spoke. "She needs it."

"Good luck, Ash." Serena added with emphasis on Ash's name as she too headed off to help the real Ash.

"Right, sorry about that." Dawn said turning back to Jimmy her voice once again as masculine as she could make it. "I didn't mean to make you wait."

"Nah it just means more time battling that strong Pikachu of yours." Jimmy said grinning now that the battle was back on. "Let's keep going."

"You got it." Dawn said. "Now Pikachu, Thunderbolt."

"You too Spike, Thunderbolt." Jimmy sang as he strummed and both Pikachus leapt into the air launched the electric type attacks at almost the same time.

Again, the attacks went off at almost the exact same time before flying across the battlefield to slam into each other. The bolts held for a moment as the Pikachus pushed against each other but in the end neither was able to overpower the other, so the attacks exploded causing both to fall to the ground unharmed and impressed with the other.

"Not bad by try this one for size." Dawn said. "Quick Attack."

"Same again Spike, you use Quick Attack as well." Jimmy said as both Pikachus charged and the battle really starting to heat up.

-break-

As this was happening the others had joined Bonnie in the tent and Clemont had quickly given Ash the medicine telling him to drink up as soon as he could. They were all worried for him as they knelt around him and watch him begin to return to normal while the battle raged on outside.

"This is just like traveling with Ash." May said her voice worried as she watched Ash begin to breath easier where he lay. "Crazy adventures and challenges at the worst moments. Usually this would be where Team Rocket, along with the regional criminal gang and possibly a legendary Pokémon or two appears, but all that have seemed rather dormant lately. Well, that and Team Flare is no more so we don't have to worry about them."

"This is normal?" Clemont asked concerned a little by how nonchalant May sounded about it all. "This is the first time I've traveled with Ash, so I'm not used to what he's like to travel with."

"For the most part though you got a good taste of what it is like with me last year." May said with a shrug. "Sometimes there's a legendary Pokémon involved, sometimes not, but we usually get into these crazy adventures from time to time. Been a bit calmer this year, in fact the incident last year for us was more akin to what you'd find with Ash, but he hasn't dealt with that since Unova it seems. That said, the whole Dawn dressing as Ash is new."

"Is that some teen thing I'm too young for?" Bonnie asked. "Or should be concerned about regarding Clemont."

"No, I don't think so as she is wearing his clothes not, um, something that would indicate that." May said as Clemont spluttered. "This is more Dawn doing what she felt was best for the situation kinda thing."

"And making us jealous in the process." Serena said. "But that's nothing new."

"Agreed so Serena and I are definitely going to to Snowbelle when we near the divergence to Joule Town." May said. "We could use the break after the party and now this while you two stay with Ash and Dawn if that's ok."

"I understand." Clemont said though Bonnie looked a bit confused.

"I don't." Bonnie admitted.

"I'll explain tonight." Serena said as Ash suddenly groaned and began to open his eyes. "But for now, Ash is coming to, so we need to focus on that."

"Yeah, er, what happened?" Ash asked, he felt groggy and hazy but otherwise fine. "Last thing I remember was training last night and then nothing much until now."

"You got wet last night and didn't dry off properly so got sick." May said simply. "Which we will talk about later by the way. For now, though, we've given you your medicine and you're going to be alright it seems. Most people would be out longer, but you aren't most people Ash so we shouldn't be surprised by this."

"Huh, oh ok." Ash said as he sat up and looked around and blinking as he noticed several things that were off. "Um, where are my clothes, Pikachu, Dawn, and why are her clothes here? We didn't share a tent last night that I recall because Clemont and Bonnie are with us."

"About that." Serena said looking to the tent entrance.

"All those can be answered by heading outside." May said simply. "So, let's go because you have to see this to believe it though it's only about a 2 on the crazy shit Ash Ketchum has seen in his life scale I'd say."

All Ash could do was blink and shrug before he got up and crawled to open the tent and look outside. He had to pause when he saw what was going on because it took him a moment to process what exactly he was seeing. Whatever it was it was higher than a 2 he'd say.

-break-

While Ash had been getting better faster than anyone had expected in the tent, Dawn had been continuing her battle with Jimmy outside. It was effectively a stalemate. Other than the hit earlier from the Iron Tail into Thunderbolt combo the only damage was the Quick Attacks being exchanged. The Thunderbolts were being blocked, Pikachu's Electro Ball dodge while the battlefield was too damaged for an effective Dig from Spike. As good as Dawn was this battle was too even for her to get an edge in the way Ash would, but she was trying as hard as she could until Ash was better and…

"Um what is going on out here?" Ash suddenly asked getting all their attentions' after another pair of Quick Attacks bounced off each other and Dawn turned to see Ash now standing looking healthier if still a little pale behind her as the others all came out of the tent behind him. "Dawn? Why are you wearing my clothes and battling with Pikachu?

"Huh, Dawn?" Jimmy asked as Dawn suddenly went bright red as she was now busted completely. "But you're Ash, right?"

"No, I'm his girlfriend Dawn and if you're wondering I'm from Twinleaf Town in the Sinnoh region." Dawn said her normal voice returning. "Ash was sick, and you weren't listening to me when I was trying to tell you the situation regarding Ash and that he'd be able to battle later after we got him the medicine he needed but you were so loud that you seemed to not hear me, so I had to do something. I meant no harm with it."

With that Dawn offered Jimmy a low bow of apology before rising and removing the hat with one hand while reaching up with her other to undo the clip and remove her hair tie. With a little shake she freed it all up and lower the hat, an apologetic look on her face with her tongue out a bit.

"Wait you?" Jimmy asked recognizing the girl who'd greeted him though he'd never actually caught her name as he was too focused on facing Ash in a Pikachu battle.

"Yup, sorry for all this." Dawn said as she handed the hat back to Ash who put it on. "I didn't mean to deceive you; it was just the only thing that I could think of to stop the loud noises so that Ash could rest until the others returned."

"Well, I can't say that I like the way that you were pulling my leg Dawn." Jimmy said seriously though he at least understood why the girl had done what she'd done. "But I guess you have a point; I was too set on facing Ash and his Pikachu that I should have listened more as to why no male was present to greet me. Plus, the way you worked with his Pikachu, you really rocked the house, yeah!"

On that Jimmy launched into another blistering solo on his guitar that was just as loud as before while Spike did his usual rocking along with it. He kept rocking out hard to it all causing a mix of smiles, laughs, and strange looks from everyone present as Clemont, May, and Serena finally understood what was going on. It then ended with a full knee slide that really upped the volume a few notches.

"Alright." Ash said with a grin as it ended. "I hear you came to battle with me so why don't we have that battle you wanted. I always enjoy facing a strong Pikachu and I love a good battle with a strong, passionate trainer."

"Bring it on my Pikachu brother." Jimmy said but before he could say anymore a loud rumble was heard that surprised everyone until they looked at Ash and realized that it was his stomach.

"Um do you mind waiting, I haven't eaten yet today so can I eat first?" Ash said rubbing his stomach with a sheepish grin on his face. "I'm starving."

"Seriously, you need food now?" Jimmy asked.

"It won't take long; I'll whip something up." Clemont said heading over to the cooking set up. "It will be quick don't you guys worry."

"I'll help." Bonnie said excitedly running over to help her brother out.

"Join us Jimmy, our treat." Dawn said smiling at him. "We have more than enough, and Clemont's food is amazing."

"Yeah then when we've eaten we can really battle hard." Ash said. "It will give us and our Pokémon the energy for an epic battle."

"Thanks guys." Jimmy said a little surprised by the generous offer but smiling nonetheless. "Sure, sounds like a good time."

"Good now let's…" Dawn said turning and seeing her path blocked by a very pissed off looking Malamar with her tentacles folded over her chest while her right foot one tapped the ground causing Dawn to start to back up her hands in front of her waving at her Pokémon to back off. "Crap, forgot about you in all the excitement. Look it was for a good cause Malamar, I promise. I know I made a bit of a fool of myself, and I could have probably handled the situation slightly differently, but seriously it was for…"

"Malamar." Malamar said shaking the top part of her body as she advanced on Dawn. "Mal, Malamar."

"Oh, come on it's not the worst thing that I've done, I think." Dawn said looking around as Dragalge resurfaced and Ninetales joined them now that their trainer was no longer making an embarrassment of herself. "Arceus damn it where are Machamp? It's your job to protect me whenever Malamar gets like this and you disagree, you can't…ah damn it I'm screwed."

Dawn had noticed the issue as Malamar advanced while she was speaking. Behind her was Machamp, on his back and in an unnatural sleep. Clearly Malamar had been so intent on teaching Dawn a lesson this time that she'd actually used her Hypnosis attack on Machamp to put him to sleep for a while. Well, there was nothing for it but to turn and run.

"Start without me." Dawn said as she began to run. "This may take a while."

"Malamar." Malamar yelled as she set off after her human ordering her back and face her rightful slap fest for the stunt that she'd just pulled. "Malamar, mal, Malamar."

"Um…" Jimmy asked as they made their way to the table.

"Dawn's Malamar is a bit of a character." Ash said as they sat down. "It's a long story so I'll tell you over food as I've never seen a Pokémon caught the way Dawn caught Malamar before or since."

"Alright, it's not the kind of Pokémon I'd expect from her." Jimmy said recalling what Dawn had been wearing when he arrived. "She doesn't seem the type to have scary looking Pokémon, or fully evolved fighting types like that Machamp but more small and cute ones like that Piplup over there."

"You don't even know the half of it when it comes to Dawn's Pokémon." May said taking up the story as they all sat, and Clemont began to serve the meal. "As for Malamar in particular, it was a day like this several months back and just to the west of Lumiose City. Dawn was trying to catch this Abra and…"

May continued, with the help of Ash and Serena, as they told the story of Dawn and her strange but still somehow caring Malamar to Jimmy over the meal. All the while Dawn was running around trying to avoid Malamar, but the psychic and dark type was closing in as the story progressed as she had more stamina than her trainer did.

All in all, despite the trickery, the annoyingly loud music, and the whole Ash being sick it had been an interesting day with a good battle to come between Ash and Jimmy to end it. Yup just another standard adventure in the journeys of Ash Ketchum and his friends.

Well, there it is, one of the more iconic moments from XY only as a pearl and not an amourship with Dawn getting the chance to dress as Ash and a few other slight changes to fit with her more than with Serena. I am sure many of you expected this, some even requested it, and it was always going to happen the moment I saw that episode only with Dawn and not Serena. That is also why this is the Supplement that draws the most from an anime episode as I wanted to do my best to recreate it with Dawn while adding a few changes as well such as no Team Rocket (would have been too long otherwise) and of course Malamar would have something to say to her trainer for her actions. Anyway, the next Supplement, which is planned for after the next Part and was recommended by Reader (guest) in a review during Winning that was a good idea for a Supplement though I've expanded a bit more on it so it's going to be another long one, will be ready in time so more fun side adventures to look forward to here and if y'all do have any suggestions for things that might work in the Supplement do give them and who knows it might get written. That is all I have for y'all however so I will leave this Supplement off here. As always please continue favorite and follow both me and this story to keep abreast with new releases and keep the reviews coming. Until next time.
