Yay! The very first Bonus chapter! I'm so happy to finally get to this! Time for a bit of ship foreshadowing...start-up? No idea what the correct term is. Oh! Also some foreshadowing of what the OCs are capable of. Enjoy!

Zane walked towards the Obelisk Blue cafeteria, wanting a small little snack before heading to bed. He was glad everyone else had retired for the night, not wanting to be swarmed with questions.

He did not expect to find someone else in the cafeteria.

"Why the fuck're you awake s-late?" Sammy asked from where she was sitting, her words slurring from tiredness.

Zane blinked, surprised to see Sammy out at all. It had been about two days since the brunette's outburst at the initiation, and after that quite a few Obelisk Blue students have been treating her like crap. Calling her names, shoving, tripping, even throwing one of the books she seemed to be reading onto the ground and making her lose her spot. It had gotten to a point that morning where Karley had beaten another student so bad he had a black eye and dislocated shoulder - though Zane didn't feel that bad for him, as the student had outright slapped Sammy's butt and called her a bitch.

"Hello?" Sammy called, snapping her fingers in a very - Zane didn't know whether it was unique or strange - way to get his attention.

Zane blinked again, then looked back at Sammy. "What are you doing here?" he questioned. "And up late if I may add, it's almost eleven at night."

"I thought I asked you first," The brunette spat, her previous slur seeming to vanish.

Zane rolled his eyes in a good-natured manner. "I was just getting a quick snack before I turned in for the night," he explained. "Now what about you?"

Sammy turned back to her laptop and started typing again. "A story I've been working on for a while now," she answered flatly. "Since I've barely gotten any sleep since the fucking initiation, might as well do something productive."

Zane paused. "Hold on," he said. "How much sleep have you gotten since then?"

"Four hours in total," the brunette answered almost automatically. "Two hours each night."

Zane stared for a long moment, then somewhat barked. "Go to bed now."

Sammy frowned. "I'm perfectly fine," she said, glancing at Zane. "Even if there are four of you right now."

"Is your story saved?"

"Of course! It saves automat-"

Sammy was interrupted as Zane quickly shut the lid of her laptop, closing what she had been doing. Before she could even utter a sound, Zane quickly pulled Sammy up to his chest and gently covered her eyes with his free hand, being careful with her glasses. The top Duelist gave a small sigh, hating that he had to resort to this. It was a trick he learned for those rare nights Syrus, Alexis or Atticus - before he vanished - could not sleep at all.

"What…..are….you…." Sammy trailed off, leaning against Zane more and more as the need for sleep slowly took over.

Zane smiled in mild triumph as he slowly walked to his room with Sammy, making sure she did not fall asleep while walking. He knew for a fact that if anyone saw them now, people would ask questions, but right now Zane couldn't care less. He wasn't about to watch this girl waste away because she couldn't get enough sleep, dear Ra he was better than that.

A brief image of Syrus flashed in his mind, and Zane remembered something about him and Jaden needing to win a tag duel or else they'd be expelled. He shook the thought away, his brother wasn't even ready to play Power Bond, so maybe he should be expelled.

Finally making it to his room, Zane guided Sammy to his bed and laid her down on it. For a brief moment he considered sleeping on his couch tonight, however, Sammy's death-like grip on his wrist gave his answer right away. The Kaiser sighed as he laid on his back as far away from Sammy as possible, not wanting to creep her out when she awoke. While he believed himself to be somewhere on the Asexual spectrum, he had no idea what Sammy's sexuality was - and had no desire to ask that extremely personal question.

Before long, Zane found himself drifting off into a deep dreamless sleep.

Zane had no idea what time it was when he began to wake up, and silently cursed himself for forgetting to set his alarm. What he did notice, however, was that he had somehow wrapped his arms tightly around Sammy at some point in the night while he slept.

Did he move? Not an inch. He had seen the most peaceful look on Sammy's face as she dreamed, and he simply could not find the courage to move at the risk of waking her up.

What did make him move, however, was movement spotted out of the corner of his eye. Zane carefully turned his head to see what it was, and grew both extremely confused….and concerned all at once.

Near his room's door, a Baby Dragon hovered near Sammy's laptop….the laptop that Zane had left in the cafeteria. Zane had the ability to see Duel Spirits - having heard Cyber End Dragon's voice when he was young and his few Duel Spirits just preferred to communicate with him without leaving their cards - but he did not have a Baby Dragon in his deck at all. He figured it must've been a card in Sammy's deck. But that was not the big thing on his mind. No, what worried him….was that the dragon was not transparent at all, and the laptop was not in the cafe.

"That...that thing is solid!" Zane's brain shouted. "But...how?"

Oh boy! It took me a while to figure out how to word the paragraph about Zane being able to see Duel Spirits correctly. Hope I did okay. And yeah Zane seeing Duel Spirits, but his spirits stay in their cards is a bit of a Headcannon I have. Hope you liked it! See you in Chapter 6!
