Hello friends! It's been much too long since we last talked, hasn't it? I'm truly thankful that some of you have still been reaching out saying that you enjoyed my writing and were looking forward to updates. Everytime I get a notification for a review or follow, it seriously makes my day. I haven't stopped thinking about how much I enjoyed writing this story for you all, and I deeply apologize for being gone for so long.
Suffice it to say, the past two years that I've been on my writing hiatus were not kind ones. I'll explain more below, but before that, here are some updates about where the story shall be going.
I was able to find a notebook of mine from 2020 or so that contained a nearly ¾-finished outline for The Boy-Who-Dreamed. Some chapters are getting reworked and I'm still adding more to the end and tweaking the story's overall pacing a bit. I think if I base events of the story strictly off the OoTP timeline like I had originally planned, there would be a lot of potential content I'd have to write out of the story, and that's no fun, is it?
So, as I tweak and finalize more sections of the story outline, I'll be writing full chapters and publishing them on a weekly basis. I've been writing in batches of 2-3 chapters, so if I keep this up, I can post weekly without any issues and not have to worry about how hectic college and my extracurriculars can be at times.
To summarize, expect an update at least once a week, usually on Monday nights since that's when I'm usually free, and be ready for at least 30 more chapters, if not more. I hope you're as excited as I am!
As to why I haven't written in such a long time? Well, there are many factors that played into my hiatus, some that are too personal to share here. What I do feel comfortable saying is that the personal as well as global events that I went through these past few years did a number on my creative drive and output. It's only recently that I've been able to find a balance in fulfilling my responsibilities and remembering to take care of myself. Now that I'm in a much clearer state of mind, I'm more than ready to deliver on the many creative projects lying dormant in my notebooks. I hope you all are ready, and thank you for sticking along for the ride!
I will be editing this later today to add the next chapter to this tale. Until then, Gokigenyou!
