F3: Hello everyone and welcome to chapter 12 of Rinas story. We last left off where Rina has arrived at Robyns business/home and looks like general Ironwood has been kicked to the curb and Harriet and Clover are up for potiental candidates for general. RWBY is property of Rooster Teeth and Monty Oum. Also any OC's that will appear will be stated who they belong to. With that said Let's Roll Out!

Volume 4-12 Green: A New Day.

Morning came to Mantle as the sun rose... or at least the lack their off of a sun as the sound of an alarm blared to life waking the sleeping Rina as she pressed the button on it in order to silence the cursed device. She slowly woke up from her sleep as she stood up and she was surprisingly sore from sleeping on a bed.

"Okay... definately missing the hammocks now." Rina replied. She heard the door open to her room as Robyn was standing their fully dressed.

"Rise and shine sleepy head. Got a big day ahead of us." Robyn said trying to lighten the mood.

"Yeah yeah. So what are we doing again today?" Rina asked still rather groggy from last night.

"First coffee, then we're heading up to Atlas to find you some better clothing than what you have right now." Robyn replied as she gestured her to follow downstairs. Rina began to follow but not before grabbing the small notebook and stuffing it in her jacket.

Rina followed her downstairs into the bar of the building as Robyn was already behind the bar and pouring some coffee for them.

"How'd you take your coffee? Cream? Sugar?" Robyn questioned.

"Cream, two sugars." Rina replied simply.

Robyn put in some cream in Rinas cup and then two sugars and then stirred it before handing it over to Rina. She took the cup Robyn gave her and took a sip of it feeling the warm liquid pour down her throat.

"That's feel better. Thanks." Rina simply thanked as she took another sip.

Robyn was wanting to try and start a conversation with her but she didn't know how to begin.

"So... what made you come up with the Spider name. Sounds rather basic if you ask me." Robyn replied.

Rina only looked at her with a weird look as if it was trying to understand what she just said to her.

"Excuse me? What?" Rina asked.

"Just trying to strike a conversation." Robyn said.

"Well you're doing a bad job of it. How about we just get to Atlas okay." Rina said finishing off her coffee.

"Yep this one is going to be difficult." Robyn thought before heading toward a closet and getting out two large coats.

"Here you're going to need this. It gets rather chilly out their." She said as Robyn slipped on her coat as so did Rina before they both left the building. Robyn wasn't kidding about it being rather cold as the coat did protect ninety percent of her body but her head was still feeling the cold.

The two of them walked throught the small village of Mantle as Rina observed the things around her. Sure their was businesses but rather small ones that ranged from food stores to even small shops. She even saw a store that works on metal prosthetics as she saw a couple leave the store with the male testing movements on his right leg. But if their was one word she could describe Mantle was dismile. Almost every street they came across was dark with its grey bricks, and neon signs.

Rina looked up and noticed that their were clouds above her more than likely blocking out the suns rays.

"If you think those are clouds you're wrong." Robyn spoke immediately.

"What do you mean?" Rina asked.

"That's smoke actually coming from the buildings here. That and the machines all around Mantle trying to keep this place warm for people." Robyn replied.

"A machine to keep Mantle warm. What are you talking about?" Rina asked.

"The SCD built weather machines around the Mantle for the people here. Though they have a tendancy to not work properly. The people here adjust to the change. For now we're going to Atlas to get you a set of clothing for you to wear during your sentence." Robyn replied.

"Mantle doesn't have a clothing store?" Rina asked.

"It used to... burned down about month ago. Some workers are trying to rebuild it. If people want to get better clothing they go to Atlas." Robyn replied as they continued onward. Though it did make Rina wonder what else Mantle was lacking.

About a fifteen minute walk later they arrive at a terminal station where people were come from and going to Atlas. A two minute wait in line later and they were next in line.

The man in the booth immediately noticed Robyn and smiled.

"Ah back again are we Robyn. Let me guess just one ticket." He said.

"Actually two this time Ty." Robyn said gesturing to Rina behind her and almost immediately got the picture.

"I see. Two it is then. Have a safe ride up." Ty said as he printed out two tickets for the both of them.

"Thanks." Robyn said as she and Rina headed toward a small air shuttle as they and some other people filed in air shuttle. Having enough people on the shuttle the engine roared to life as it floated off the ground a moment before whisking away toward Atlas above.

"You're going to like this. Take a look out the window." Robyn gestured as Rina did just that looking out the window. So far they were in the smoke but the moment they got above the smoke Rina had to shield her eyes from the suns rays that blinded her. After adjusting to the light she saw the sun in all it's glory and honestly it still amazed Rina.

Robyn slightly smiled before she heard her scroll buzzed as she checked the ID number as it said PO. She immediately answered it.

"Robyn speaking. Yeah we're arriving in Atlas right now. You to meet her... alright. Say in about an hour okay. Sounds good. Goodbye." Robyn said before hanging up her scroll.

After five minutes the shuttle landed letting everyone out as they walked out. Almost immediately Rina could tell the difference between Mantle and Atlas. The sun that shined made the colors of the buildings and everything else stick out more and were more vibrant. Their were tall business buildings that wanted to reach the sky above. Also their was more options with many resteraunts, businesses, and other venues available.

"Wow... people up here have it so easy." Rina replied.

"Like you wouldn't believe. Though c'mon we got places to be. Plus I just got off the scroll with your parole officer. Apparently she wants to meet with you so that doesn't give us a lot of time." Robyn replied.

"Alright you know this place better than I do. Let's find the clothing store and then meet my parole officer." Rina replied.

"Okay just follow me." Robyn said as the two of them walked toward the destination.

=RWBY=

After locating the store Robyn proceed to gather the nessecary clothing for Rina especially if she was going to moving around in a cold climate of Mantle. It took thirty minutes to gather everything and get them paid for. Luckily Robyn had managed to pay for everything even with some help had the items shipped to her bar which still gave them ten minutes to meet up with the parole officer and Robyn knew exactly where to meet.

They walked toward an outdoor resteraunt that apparently served good food including tacos. Robyn noticed a person that was currently sitting down with having a plate of food on the table.

The women was around thirty five years old with upper back length ashen brown hair that is asymmetrically parted on the left to right side along with red eyes. She is currently wearing a black business suit a black turtleneck. Her blazers cuffs and lower part have clamshell-like designs. Just barely able to be seen is a head of tattoo on her neck.

"Gwen Holland." Robyn replied getting the womans attention. The women responded to her name being called.

"Robyn Hill. You must've been busy to not arrive here when I called." Gwen replied.

"I had something to take care of before coming here." Robyn said.

Gwen looked over to Rina almost as if examining her "Then this must be Rina Trill. The one that has to repay the SDC the three million lien in dust that was stolen. And she'll be here for two years yes." Gwen replied.

Already Rina wasn't liking this women just by her attitude. Her attitude pretty much screamed that she had a stick up her butt.

"Can I please smack this women? She so deserves it." Takas voice said sounding angry.

"No you will not. Unless you want me to face an assault charge then no." Rina voiced her thoughts back.

"Now then as your parole officer their are some rules that will need to be followed. One, you're only given limited amount of freedom and must be back at a given time that has been provided to you. Secondly, if you cause any trouble for your caretaker you will recieve a warning. If you recieve three warnings your caretaker has persmission to call the police and have you arrested and you'll be sent to juvenile facility. Though their is a positive side. If you show good behavior and follow the rules you'll be given a little more freedom and access to a limited amount of your account. Also you must have yourself a form of employment." Gwen replied.

Rina sighed at this as she thought that no one might even hire here not just because she's a faunus but because of her record of being a thief.

"You understand what I'm telling you?" Gwen asked as Rina nodded.

"Now as for you Robyn since your her caretaker at this time you'll be reporting to me twice a month about her behavior." Gwen replied.

"Of course. I'll make sure to call you." Robyn said simply.

"Very well. Now if you'll excuse me their is a movie showing in thirty minutes and I'd prefer not to miss it." Gwen replied as she got up from her seat before walking off.

Robyn let out the breath that she was holding almost relieved that she was gone "Man the women is always intense." She replied which did interest Rina a little.

"Sounds to me you know her." Rina said.

"Whenever I'm in charge of being a caretaker for someone Gwen is normally the person that calls me. I introduce her to them and she becomes their parole officer. She's strict but she can be fair as well." Robyn said as she got up from her seat.

"C'mon we better head back. More than likely the clothing is their by now." Robyn replied as it was time for them to head back to the bar and Rinas temperary home as they left Atlas behind and headed back down to Mantle.

=RWBY=

Meanwhile at the main office of Atlas military it was a rather different scene for everyone that was currently their. The staff especially was rather nervous especially after hearing that James Ironwood was no longer the general of the military so the place was rather still adjusting to not having someone in command. The place also rather busy since Jacque Schnee decided to pay a visit to the military base.

"If I heard correctly that Ironwood was forced to hand in his letter of resignation hours after the trial had concluded. All over one small mishap." Jacque replied.

"It isn't that simple Mr. Schnee. Evidence was forged and video was altered which would have led to a misplace of judgement. Something that we couldn't afford. To avoid the media of making this public I ordered the general to relieve himself of his command." Marshal replied trying to remain calm in front of Jacque.

"And now where does that leave you?! You have no one in command incase grimm are to appear!" Jacque shouted.

"I am taking command at the time until I find someone that is suitable to take Ironwoods place. He should count his blessings that he is staying as headmaster of Atlas Academy." Marshal replied.

"Oh and that's a relief." Jacque said sarcastically.

"If you are only here to shout and banter on Mr. Schnee than I will have to ask you to leave the base. Besides I believe you have your company to worry about do you not." Marshal fired back.

Jacque growled slightly before turning on his heels to leave the room slamming the door behind him. Marshall let out a breath of relieve no longer having to deal with him. Though he did turn to his side toward a corner.

"And just how long do you plan on hiding Miss Redeye?" Marshall questioned as Marina Redeye one of the members of Team PRRS appeared out from the corner.

"Ten minutes. That's how long it took for you to find me this time." Redeye stated.

"I take it your sister is here as well. Or is she doing another job." Marshal replied.

"The latter sir. I figured I would watch Mr. Schnees reaction. He seems up to something. Would like me to follow him sir?" Redeye asked.

He shook his head "No. Once he returns to his home it's near impossible to get in regardless of how stealthy you are. I recommend returning to the stealth core and await instructions." Marshal replied.

"Understood." She said simply before using the window behind her as an exit. He didn't have to worry much about her considering she would more likely land safely without issues. Though that still left this issue about finding out who would take the generals place as he still looked over the files of Harriet and Clover.

Meanwhile with the Ace Ops they were sent on a mission the moment they returned to work after their little reprieve. Right now they were dealing with some grimm that getting close to the outer wall of Mantle and were sent out to take care of it. It was a small task... well small to them when their was a pack of fifteen Sybers coming at you.

"Alright everyone split them up and don't let them get by up." Clover ordered as he brought out his weapon. Elm brought out her weapon which looks like an oversized hammer as the mallet looked like it could fit something else. Marrow brought out his weapon that looks like an automatic rifle with a circular center. Harriet extended her arms as her pack covered her arms in exoskeleton suit. Vine however simply triggered his semblance as his aura vines surrounded his arms.

"Five of us and fifteen of them. That means three for each of us. How about last one to beat their three buy everyone lunch." Elm suggested.

"Oh no the last time we did that I nearly went broke with how much you eat." Marrow said.

Elm seemed to growl at that "Are you saying I'm fat?!" Elm shouted.

"Hey! Let's just get this done alright!" Harriet shouted getting the two of them to focus.

"Here they come." Vine warned as he was ready.

"Right then. Take em out!" Clover ordered as the five of them charged at the Sybers with Harriet using her semblance to speed toward one of the Sybers as she delievered a hard punch to its skull knocking it backwards. Marrow immediately began firing his weapon upon his target trying to trip up the grimm in front of him. One of the Sybers avoided the shots and was about to claw at him but luckily he planned for this as rolled away from the grimm before the barrel half of his weapon bent upwards slightly making it look like a boomerang. The Syber tried to get him again but this time he knocked the grimm away with his weapon before throwing his weapon at the grimm.

He then pointed a finger at the grimm "Stay!" He suddenly shouted as the Syber froze in place as the boomerang circled around and went straight through its neck killing it as his weapon returned to him.

Vine in a short time had already gotten rid of two Sybers and was working on a third as his aura hand went to grab hold of the Syber but it avoided his grasp as it now had a clear way to attack as it would take a few seconds for his aura hands to retract as it pounced at him. However before it could reach him a strong hand grabbed it by the throat and slammed it to the ground.

Elm managed to catch the grimm before it could reach her teammate and slammed it to the ground. She then took her oversized hammer and swung it down at the grimm crushing it's skull killing the beast.

It took about eleven minutes for them to clear out the grimm but it didn't seem like it effected them much as they still seemed ready to go.

"Well that's a good way to get motivated. Well done everyone." Clover replied.

"Oh c'mon I barely broke a swet that time. It's either me or these grimm are getting fewer and far between. Any less and I'll be going soft." Elm replied.

"Let's head back. Besides some of us are going to the academy. Even though it shouldn't be open given the situation that happened to Beacon." Harriet added.

"We're not going to need everyone. Elm, Vine why don't you two head to the academy? You can assist with the training class." Clover ordered.

"Understood." Vine answered.

"The rest of us will scout out for any other problems that are to occur. Harriet you got central Mantle. Marrow you have the north and I'll cover the south. Keep your scrolls incase of any issues." Clover ordered.

With their orders given the five of them separated with Vine and Elm heading to the academy while the rest covered the rest of Mantle. Hopefully their wouldn't be much problems for anyone.

=RWBY=

It didn't take long for Robyn and Rina to return to the bar slash home as they entered the business. However what Rina wasn't expecting was that their three people their as they were more than likely employees but Robyn seemed to smile at this.

"I figured you girls would get here for the afternoon rush." Robyn replied getting their attention.

"Oh hey boss. Just gettings cleaned up and ready for today." The rabbit faunus girl said.

"It is a Thursday after all and you know how we get around this day don't you boss." The neon haired girl replied knowingly.

"Yeah don't I know it." Robyn commented. However the falcon faunus girl noticed Rina standing right next to Robyn as she stared at her curiously.

"Is that the girl you mentioned yesterday?" She asked as Robyn nodded.

"Yes but introductions later. Since we don't open up for another two hours I want everyone to meet her before we get started. I'm still trying to get her settled in so once everyone get here I'll formally introduce you to her." Robyn replied.

"Sounds fair. Oh and boss I think a package came for you. I put it upstairs in your kitchen if that's okay." The rabbit faunus said.

"Thanks." Robyn said as both she and Rina went to go upstairs. However the moment Rina passed the rabbit faunus a wave of emotions suddenly crashed into her as her semblance suddenly activated. Once Rina passed her eyes suddenly started to water like she wanted to cry as tears streamed down her face.

Rachael immediately noticed what was happening and went to check on her "Hey Amber... you good?" Rachael asked.

"She... feels so sad... so alone. Like she doesn't have a friend anymore." Amber said her rabbit ears slightly drooped.

However that made Ciel think a moment before she spoke up "Hold on wasn't she in the Vytal Tournament. She made to the finals and won. She was part of Team SPIR right?" Ciel asked.

"Yeah if I made a bet than I would've won big." Rachael replied before realizing what she said as she slightly shrunk in on herself as the other two stared at her knowingly.

"Your gambling got you arrested remember. Posing as an adult when you were a minor three years ago." Ciel pointed out.

"Yeah... I know. I'm glad boss straightened me out though. Who knows how much I would've been in debt if she didn't help me." Rachael said.

Just then the door opened as the twins Milla and Tilla entered with Clay, Matthew, and Vincent came right behind them.

"Hey y'all! Ready to work!" Milla cheered as she was already dressed in her uniform.

"Alright you two let's not get too excited. We still got time before we officially open." Vincent replied.

"Yeah we better start going over the check list boss left us." Clay, the boar faunus replied.

"Though I think we're going to finally get introduced to the new girl today. From the looks of it she's rather young. Younger than us maybe." Ciel replied.

"Yes! Finally, that mean's me and Clay aren't the youngest ones here." Rachael shouted cheerfully.

"I'm not sure how to take that comment but I guess it's nice to see a new face." Clay replied seeing as he was youngest out of all of them.

"Though she's still getting settled so we might want to get busy." Amber replied as the men headed toward the kitchen and the twins head behind the bar making sure everything was prepared for today.

=RWBY=

Meanwhile upstairs Robyn helped Rina get her clothes put away without much issue but she noticed that Rina was staring at the bed with strange look on her face.

"Everything okay their? You tired?" Robyn asked but Rina simply shook her head.

"No... I'm good." Rina said simply.

"Well their's something wrong then that your staring at the bed. Is it uncomfortable?" Robyn asked. This time Rina did nod.

"Is their any chance to replace it with a hammock?" Rina asked which surprised Robyn.

"A hammock? Why would you want one of those?" She asked the girl.

Rina looked down slightly before answering "I... slept on one during my time at Beacon... with my team." Rina replied somberly.

Robyn looked at her for a moment almost as if trying to understand but she then smiled slightly.

"I'll see what I can do about a hammock." Robyn said.

"But before that there are some people I want to introduce you to. Just so that you're familiar with them. Sound good." Robyn replied.

Rina nodded in response "Sure. Better than doing nothing right now." She said as they returned downstairs.

Once they were downstairs again Robyn noticed that the twins were already at the bar making preparations for today as well as Rachael, Amber, and Ciel getting the floors and tables. She figured if the girls were here then so were her cooks in kitchen. She gestured for Rina to wait at the edge of stairs so she could gather her team.

Robyn put her thumb and pointer finger on the end of her mouth and whistled.

"Alright everyone huddle up!" Robyn called out. Almost immediately their girls that were cleaning stopped and proceed to the front of the bar. From the back Clay, Mathew and Vincent came out and walked toward the bar as well.

"Okay looks like everyone is here. Perfect. Now I know you've all been curious about this new girl. Well I figured now is a good time to introduce you to her." Robyn said before gesturing Rina to come out. Rina walked out from the edge of the stairs and stood right beside Robyn.

"Everyone meet Rina Trill. She'll be staying here at the bar for two years okay. Make sure that she feels welcomed." Robyn said.

"Nice to meet you." Clay started "Clay Baning. Hope to get to know you better." Clay replied.

Next Matthew spoke up "Matthew Tibbs. You're in good hands Miss Trill." Matthew said his white fox ears twitched slightly.

"Vincent Orlando. Charmed." He replied.

"These three are part of my kitchen staff. Some of best cooks that I have." Robyn boasted which made the men slightly blush.

"Oh c'mon boss. Don't build us up like that." Clay said.

"And what about us?" Tilla asked crossing her arms. Robyn slightly chuckled.

"And how can I forget my frontline." Robyn added.

"These two bartenders are Milla and Tilla Amaris. The left one is Tilla and the right one is Milla. Trust me it's hard to get these two mixed up when you're looking right at them." Robyn stated.

"We're not that hard to tell." They both said at that same time which did make everyone chuckle.

Ciel was next to introduce herself "Ciel Takameki. I hope we could get along together." She said with a smile her wings slightly fluttering.

Rachael was up next "Rachael Nanami. Pleased to meet you Rina." The neon haired girl said.

Finally it was Ambers turn but she didn't immediately speak up as she was trying to resist her semblance going off just by looking at her.

"Um... Amber Naux. Welcome." Amber simply stated her rabbit ears drooping ever so slightly.

"Alright now that introductions are settled I don't want all of you to bombard her with questions okay." Robyn replied.

"Yes ma'am." They all said.

"Okay. Now let's get back to prepping. We open in two hours." Robyn ordered as they all separated into their groups getting back to work. Though Amber couldn't help but look back at Rina for a moment before continuing her work.

"Sounds like you got a heck of a team here." Rina said simply.

"Yep. Though it did take some work getting them to cooperate." Robyn replied which did make Rina wonder.

"How so? They all look like normal employees to me." Rina asked.

Robyn had to chuckle at her statement "Actually each one of them were convicted criminals believe it or not." She said which surprised Rina.

"Hold on are you saying that this place is criminally ran bar. You sure that's safe or even allowed." Rina said.

"Yeah this place is legit. To some people they see convicts but to me I see troubled teens just looking for an outlet. A hand to grab for help. Let me explain." Robyn replied as she first turned to the twins who were making sure everything was in the correct place.

"Milla and Tilla their were drug dealers by age eighteen. Dropped out of combat school and ran their business for a full year before getting caught. They were suppose to serve a five year term in prison but I pulled some strings to get them working for me. Now a year later the two of them haven't touched the stuff ever since." Robyn said.

She then gestured to the neon haired girl Rachael who was humming a tune while cleaning the floor.

"Rachael had a major gambling problem and didn't always paid off her debts. Three years ago she entered a casino posing as an adult when she was only a minor. Thing is she got caught cheating at one of the big tables and she ran. Didn't take long for the police to catch up to her though an hour later as she was trying to flee the continent. Worse was she was about to graduate from her academy but now she can't be a huntress because of her record. She was serving a two year probation charge but after straightening her out she's been staying here ever since nor has she spent a single lien on gambling." Robyn replied.

"So what your saying is each of them has done something that had them brought to you. Why?" Rina asked.

"Because... some people can't stand troublemakers in their business. When you have a record of a crime it becomes exceedingly difficult to find a job that isn't being a huntsman or huntress. Here at my den... they have a chance to better themselves. In more ways than one." Robyn replied.

"Which brings me to you. Your parole officer said that you need some role of employment somewhere to pay back your debt right. Think maybe this place can help with that. I do have a good pay rate." Robyn added.

Rina said nothing for the moment as if she was still contemplating about what to do. Sure she needed to pay back the debt that she owed to the SDC but would really working here would help.

"Um... can I think about first?" Rina asked. Robyn simply nodded as if expecting that answer.

"Sure just let me know and we can talk." Robyn replied.

"Thanks." Rina said as she began making her way toward the upstairs.

"I think I'll take a nap or read a book." Rina replied as she made her way upstairs toward the bedroom.

Robyn gave a small sigh but not before Amber came over "I know you've felt something from her. How bad is she?" She asked Amber.

"Well... she feels like she's alone... and emotional. I believe something tragic happened to her." Amber replied.

"This'll not be easy then. Guess I'm really in for it huh." She said before getting to work herself.

=RWBY=

Rina was now upstairs reading through her scroll seeing their was any news that had happened. Their was still reports about the attack on Vale and Beacon academy but she saw an article about Amity Arena being moved back to Atlas though it was going to be a rather slow process as it was mainly powered by gravity dust.

She exited the news of her scroll and opened her messenger as she saw Neos name on it. She went to type something but stopped. How would Neo take it that Roman, their father died in the explosion as she couldn't bring herself to type. She pulled up Audras number and wanted to text her but yet again something was stopping her.

Maybe they already knew and they are coping with it in their own way. That was what she hoped.

She sat her scroll down before pulling out that notebook she was handed to keep records of her activities. She sighed as she might as well get it over with. She opened it to the first page of the book before taking a pencil from the desk as she began to write in it.

"Journal Entry #1. Today is the day that I'm placed on the two year restriction. I am to pay back the three million debt I owe to the SDC which honestly is a little much to ask of just one person. I met my caretaker Robyn Hill who apparently owns and lives in a bar that acts as a home as well. She even offered me a job to work their which but I'm still rather unsure even if I would consider it. Right now... I'm just glad that I'm not sitting behind prison bars. Guess that's all for now. Signed Rina Trill." Rina wrote down before closing the notebook.

After that she layed down on the bed as she had to wait it out till closing. However she felt a tug in the back of her mind as if someone wants to talk to her.

"Well guess we're in this for the long haul aren't we huh?" Taka replied.

"Not like we have a choice in the matter you know." Lilith stated.

"I really don't need this right now. I'm still contemplating about Robyns offer you know." Rina replied.

"Then perhaps you should try taking the offer." Pyrrha added.

"Why? You think it would help me." She said.

"Well yes. Not to sound rude but you have been rather distant and you haven't really interacted much aside from the three of us. Perhaps you need to interact more with the other employees." Pyrrha replied.

Rina simply sighed "Yeah... I guess. For now I think I'll go for a walk. I can stay out still around seven at night." Rina stated as she got up from her bed and headed back down stairs and headed toward the front door. Besides she needed to contemplate what she was going to do and if she was going to take up on Robyns job offer.
