Anais showed up to work a little later, not that Cat ever realized for she wasn't in her office nor the main room. Still, when Anais walked into the main room she came with the idea to apologize - since she was still new to the job she needed to make sure everything flowed smoothly - but instead of finding Cat in her office, she just found her friends by Kara's desk. She walked over to them, greeting them with a cheery good morning despite the bittersweetness of their win the previous night. Myriad was gone, but Non and Indigo were still M.I.A.

"You okay?" Kara asked as soon as Anais joined them. "Are your parents…?"

Anais cleared her throat, still holding up her smile. "Yeah, they were fine. They had a hell of a time to process what Myriad did but they're fine. Actually, they're working at the D.E.O as we speak trying to get, uh...your cousin...to wake up."

Kara nodded silently. She was worried that Clark still hadn't woken up from Myriad but she had hope that soon he would be wide awake. "Thank you."

"My godparents are helping too. They'll do everything they can," Anais promised her, not that Kara doubted it for a second.

"And what about that strange guy?" James inquired, knowing just the basics of Arun for the moment. He was a Solista who managed to help put a stop to Myriad.

"Um," Anais crossed her arms, not too happy with Arun's situation at the moment, "He's being kept at the D.E.O as a potential danger. Bit rude if you ask me considering he saved my ass and helped with Myriad."

"They're still shaky from what happened but they'll let him go," Winn said as a means of encouragement. "If he cooperates-"

"He is," Anais assured. She was actually surprised that Arun hadn't put a word of protest when the D.E.O demanded to conduct all kinds of exams on him. It seemed like he had listened to her in the end and thought it was better to come clean and live a life outside the shadows.

"Let's go, people!" Cat's voice rang over the room. She was crossing the desks towards her office, file in hand, while her free hand motioned those specific employees to follow her. "Our morning meeting was to begin 16 seconds ago! You people were more punctual when you were drones! Scurry!"

The group laughed quietly amongst themselves when Cat walked past them. While Kara and James headed after the woman, Anais and Winn each headed for their respective desks.

"Alright," Cat sat down at her desk and slipped her black glasses on, "It's no shock that we have a lot to cover after the whole zombie fiasco. Supergirl gets the front cover, of course, since she saved us with that incredible speech if I do say so myself…" Kara playfully rolled her eyes while James hid his smile on the side. "I also want a special article on the new Solista in the city - and also someone figure out what the hell a Solista is in the first place - while taking a specific focus on the connection between this man-" she opened the file she'd brought into her office and pulled out a picture of Arun flying down beside CatCo. to save Anais, "-and our Golden Girl. That will be this week's challenge and since all of you have failed to bring me any news on Solar I expect some type of determination to do your job this time."

"Miss Grant, we don't really know anything about that man," an employee spoke up. He was writing everything he could on his notepad but his mouth still ended up spewing the words everyone was too scared to say. "Not to mention Solar herself. She's evaded any type of interview."

"Yes," Cat met James' gaze, "She has. And that is why I appointed Mr. Olsen for the job and quite frankly-" she put both her hands on the desk, together, "-it is getting tad annoying. I understand you were zombified but enough is enough. Supergirl didn't put so much trouble and Solar isn't as famous as she believes to be putting this type of attitude."

"She's not doing it on purpose, Miss Grant," James said, surprisingly calm despite the hostility Cat was putting towards the subject. He understood she was just trying to put together a story for the public who probably was curious of the Golden Girl. "She's been...busy."

"With?"

James let a small, incredulous laugh slip through his lips. Cat wasn't amused. James then cleared his throat and made a gesture to the room. "With the zombie problem? I don't think doing an article was her top priority."

"Well now she has no more excuses," Cat's lips stretched into a wide, fake smile. "We've discussed this before and now it's getting crucial that you deliver. That is your assignment, James. Everyone else scramble for that Solista man!"

Enough was enough; she was getting that interview by the end of the week one way or another!

"Okay, Cat Grant might be an exceptional media empress but she's crossing a line," Anais said as she and Kara walked down the halls of the D.E.O in their superhero guises. "She can't fire James for not hooking her up with an article."

"I don't think she would fire him considering the trouble she went to hire him but it doesn't mean she wouldn't make the job harder for him," Kara didn't want to make Anais feel worse but unfortunately failed.

"I'll do the interview, and I'll let her know that I was going to do it anyways just, you know, on my time. I'd already said yes to James too but I guess she didn't even let James tell her that—"

"No she did not," Kara confirmed with a shake of her head. "She also wants to know who Arun is."

At that, Anais sighed. "She and me both."

They parted at an intersection and while Kara went to check on her cousin, J'onn and Alex, Anais went into the holding rooms. She walked into Arun's where the man was silently sitting inside his cell in some sort of meditation trance. She didn't want to make a noise but the sliding door was against her.

"Sorry," she apologized when Arun cracked an eye open. "I interrupted some meditation, or…?"

Arun smiled lightly. "Something like that. The cell negates my powers so I can't really use my telepathy at the moment. I was just passing the time."

"Look, I'm sorry about...this," Anais flapped a hand at the solitary room. "I didn't think they were going to do all this to you."

"I figured they would," Arun pushed himself to his feet. "But I knew they weren't going to find anything bad about me."

"I'm not going to let them hold you for long," Anais promised him. "As soon as the last exam result comes back I'm freeing you no matter what."

"Even if I turn out to be a big mega villain?" Arun's smirk came at the worst moment.

She frowned and crossed her arms. "You want to make that joke inside a governmental facility focusing on alien threats?"

"Good point," Arun pointed at her but laughed anyways. "You know, it's so good speaking to someone...like me."

"Except I'm not like you," Anais stepped closer to the holding cell. "I'm not a full Solista."

"So? Just the fact that you are part Solista makes me feel...not lonely," Arun took a moment to think about their homeland, Solaris. "I don't know in what state Solaris is, nor if my family lives, but knowing that you're here is worth so much."

Anais felt a smile worming across her face. "It's nice to have you around too. I don't actually know a lot about Solaris so...maybe you can tell me stories when all this passes."

"I'd like that," Arun agreed.

They smiled at each other in silence for a minute before Anais said she needed to go see Supergirl. It was a good thing she came out because she came to the lovely surprise of finding Maxwell in the main room leading a meeting.

"Thanks for the call," she whispered bitterly to Kara. "What's going on?"

But before Kara answered, Maxwell did since he noticed her arrival. "Junior, nice of you to join us!" Anais glared, opening her mouth to retort when be continued with his speech. "As I was saying, the Myriad wave has been amplified ten-fold and is rising exponentially. Emergency rooms all over the city have been filled with people complaining about headaches. They're from Myriad, which, by my calculations, will continue to amplify until pop goes the cranium. The Kryptonians couldn't control us, so instead, they're going to kill us. All of us. The Kryptonians were using Myriad for mind control because the frequency penetrates neural tissue. Now, they're increasing the frequency. Exponentially. We're talking terahertz jumps. That's like using an Uzi on a mosquito."

"And we're the mosquito," Lucy said with a frown. She felt the headache herself and wasn't the only one not admitting to it.

"Once the wave reaches its full potential, the electromagnetic energy will create enough pressure to kill every human on the planet," Maxwell finished the speech with a bang.

"How long do we have?" Kara asked gravely.

"Four hours. I usually love a good countdown, but this is bad. This is really bad."

"Think you can find the source so we can shut it down?" Lucy then inquired.

"You're lucky I work well under pressure," Maxwell stepped off the raised dais to start the assignment.

"Ma'ams, you're needed in the armory," Agent Velasquez called to Lucy, Kara and Anais.

"Lucy, I'm thinking if we let Arun out of the cell he could help us," Anais said as the women started walking off together.

"Believe me, I'd want nothing more than to up our chances but the prisoners are out of my jurisdiction," she sighed. "I can't even get J'onn uncuffed."

"Arun is telepathic. He's more than capable of helping Supergirl and I."

Lucy knew that was true since J'onn was still wounded. "I'll see what I can do but don't hold your breath."

And that was as good as it was going to get.

"Mom? Dad?" Anais stepped into the room where her adoptive parents were fervently working - as much as they could anyways - to get Superman up and walking. Even as she stepped in, she could see the discrete movements of their hands going up to their heads. The headaches were affecting them just like any other human.

With a sigh, she moved into the room and pulled the two scientists from their work. "Don't exert yourselves, please." She knew her words went over their heads - if there was one thing about the Allens, is that they were stubbornly persistent.

"We're just doing our jobs, honey," her mother, Belén, gently pulled her arm from Anais' hold. "No alien headache is going to stop us."

"If we can get Superman to wake up then it'll be an extra Kryptonian here to help us," Anais' father, Barry, pried Anais' hand off his arm and gave her one of his signature kind smiles.

"You have to take it easy," Anais sternly warned them. She blocked their way to the desk and raised her hands to keep them still. "If anything, I'm here to help Supergirl. So please, slow down."

"No offence sweetheart, but you being out there does not make us feel any better," Barry's response was an unsurprising one.

Anais shook her head and just smiled at her father. "It'll be fine. But I won't be fine if something happens to either of you."

The small family was interrupted when Kara cleared her throat to announce her entrance. She was sheepish until she saw Anais' parents. One of them truly was the doppelganger of Barry Allen from Earth 1. Anais barely hid her smile as Kara tried processing all in the meanwhile of trying to hide it. Lucy had pretty much done the same when she first met the Allens.

"Mr. and Mrs. Allen," Kara enunciated slowly, giving her time to get herself together. "Thank you for helping my cousin…"

"This is what we do," Belén offered a smile to the woman, knowing Kara was just worried over her cousin. "And we will continue doing it until we can't."

"Thank you," Kara smiled back. Her gaze flickered to Anais and made the motion it was time to go.

"What... is out there?" Belén asked once she caught on with the blondes. "Where is my daughter meant to go?"

"Mom—"

"No," the stern voice silenced Anais and left it all to Kara. "I want to know where exactly my daughter is meant to go fight this Kryptonian."

"We're not sure exactly, but that's what we're going to find out right now," Kara made it clear they were more than welcome to come along with them so they could listen in.

"It's going to be dangerous, isn't it?"

"Yes, Mom, probably," Anais managed to answer that one. "But the alternative is me staying here and that's not happening. So please, let's not do this."

"This isn't what you signed up for," Barry lowered a gaze at his daughter.

"This isn't what she signed up for either," Anais made a gesture at Kara. "But she's not backing down and neither am I."

Barry stared at her for a full pledged minute before saying, "I know it's biologically impossible, but you are just as stubborn as your mother." For that, Belén whacked him on the arm.

Anais laughed and hugged them both. "I love you!"

Kara waited for Anais back in the hallway. She had enough time to make her peace with what was coming but she wondered if Anais had already made all the connections of this dangerous mission. Anais, however, was the one who surprised her in the end when she spoke the new things she'd learned about Kara that afternoon.

"Lucy says that James called her about you...saying you've been acting like you were saying goodbye to people," Anais virtually slowed down as Kara did. The Kryptonian didn't initially say anything, just kept her gaze locked on the ground. "That's never a good sign."

"I didn't mean to worry him, or anyone else," Kara admitted. "I just...we both know what we're up against."

"Yes, but we will save the Earth—"

"But we don't know if we'll make it out alive. I didn't say the things that needed to be said when I left Krypton and I wanted to make sure that I said them now. Just in case."

Anais gave a nod. "I can understand that. I didn't exactly get to say bye to my mom."

"I'm not giving up, I promise. But my mother didn't send me to Earth to fall in love with a human, have children, live in a house with a white picket fence. She sent me here to protect Kal-El. And now, I will use my powers to protect the Earth. And If I die achieving that, I'm at peace with it. I'll join my mother. We'll be together in Rao's light."

"That's... that's fine, but I think your mother would have also wanted you to be happy," Anais' warm smile seemed so certain despite never meeting Allura. "Just because you're Supergirl doesn't mean you have to stop being Kara."

"I have priorities—"

"And that's fine. But after we come out - because we will come out - don't close your opportunities." Anais playfully jabbed a finger on Kara's shoulder. "Because a boring life is no life at all."

Kara eventually smiled. "I'm glad we met each other, you know?"

"Me too," Anais chuckled. The two women once again started on their way towards the main room.

~0~

"Alright, what do you got, Max?" Alex asked once Kara and Anais joined them.

"Well, I found 'em. Thanks to this pretty little thing," Maxwell pulled up a picture of a metal sphere that Kara instantly recognized.

"An Omegahedron. We used these as energy sources on Krypton. Just one of those can power an entire city."

"Well, this one's powering the destruction of this planet," Maxwell revealed. "It's powering the Myriad wave, and its energy is building by the second."

"So where are the Kryptonians hiding?" General Lane asked, motioning him to get on with it.

"About 500 miles northeast of here. Nevada."

"What the hell is in Nevada?"

"Vegas?" Anais smiled. Alex pointed a finger for her to stay quiet.

"It's Fort Rozz," General Lane confessed, leaving the others rather stunned for a second.

"What, you just left it there?" Kara blinked at him.

"You try moving a one million-ton alien spacecraft!"

"He's got a point," Anais mumbled.

"We did the only thing we could. We concealed it using its own stealth technology, cordoned off the area and called it a nuclear test zone," General Lane explained the actions he was now truly regretting.

"Making it the perfect place to hide. They've been there the whole time," Alex rubbed her forehead. They were practically under their noses this whole time.

"We' ll find them. We'll shut it down," Supergirl nodded with absolute certainty. Non had caused enough trouble. It was time to bring them in.

"Not by yourself you won't," J'onn appeared in his true form, though he had Lucy beside him looking after the cuffs. "I'm coming with you two."

General Lane lost it. "Lucy, what are you doing? He's still under arrest."

"Not to mention you're hurt," Anais reminded J'onn.

"You are still under training, you two need more help," J'onn reasoned fairly logically. "They're not releasing your friend—"

"And I trust him," Lucy said firmly. "Everyone here at the D.E.O. trusts him." She looked at her father with no intention of backing down. "He's not a threat. He's our friend and he's going to help." With that, she uncuffed J'onn and stepped back so the Martian could join Anais and Kara.

Kara walked to Alex holding out her clear pendant. "Alex, keep it safe for me?"

"O-okay," Alex carefully took the pendant. She knew how much Kara cared for it, which also pointed out the gravity of the situation.

Kara's small smile was the last thing Alex saw before she, Anais and J'onn headed out. The three followed the coordinates to Nevada where sure enough they saw the large structure that was Fort Rozz.

"So, how do we smoke them out?" Kara looked around the plain desert for Non and Indigo.

Anais was more interested in Fort Rozz itself. It had blinking lights around it, probably from its Myriad wave.

"I think we just did," J'onn felt the presence of the two in question. Sure enough, Non and Indigo appeared across them. "Where is your army?"

"Already in their sleeping pods. Ready for the journey that awaits once we dispense with the three of you," Non seemed pretty confident in his stance.

"And the Omegahedron?" Kara wasn't going to let them get away and much less with something that powerful.

"It's right here," Non pulled it out and smirked. "Take it. Smash it into little bits. You still won't stop us. It's just a means to an end. Its power comes from her." He pointed behind him towards Fort Rozz. "Can't smash that to little bits, huh?"

"This is not what Astra wanted," Kara did not know how many times she would need to repeat that for Non to understand d how wrong he was. "Please, don't kill everyone."

"Your aunt wanted to save this planet. The humans' extinction will do just that. Like Noah after the flood. Only without Noah."

"Or you," Indigo's smirk was almost as annoying as Non's.

Without warning, Anais super sped forwards. She passed Non and Indigo in one blink, but it was enough to initiate the fight. Kara took on Non and J'onn took Indigo. It was right, in a sense.

"Alex?" Anais stopped in front of Fort Rozz, one hand over her earpiece. "I don't suppose anyone could talk me in shutting down the Myriad wave?" she glanced back in time to see Indigo stab J'onn again through the stomach. She winced and diverted her gaze. "Hello!? Someone!?"

"Solar?" she heard Lucy's strained voice. "The signal's up to 80% in strength!"

Anais wasn't sure what to do in that moment. Kara and Non were in the middle of a laser eye fight and J'onn and Indigo were still somehow going at it. She sped into the structure and went through the controls in record time - which she would note at a later time if there was one - but ultimately came empty handed.

"Everything's locked," she frowned.

"We're at 90%!" she heard someone cry over the earpod but it was too strained to identify.

Anais' mind went to her parents. If the signal was up to 90% then they had to be in incredible pain. She sped out of Fort Rozz and first saw Indigo's body ripped in half. Non seemed dead not too far from her.

"It can't be shut down, fools. I already locked the system. The engines won't fire. You won't be able to fly Fort Rozz away…" Indigo was confirming what Anais had already seen for herself. "All you'll be able do is sit back and watch everyone around you die. But between Krypton and Mars, I guess that's old hat for you two."

Anais looked back at Fort Rozz with a new idea. She was sure there was no other option, and even if there was there wasn't time to think of it.

"Solar, what are you doing?" Supergirl hurried forwards when Solar climbed down to the base of the structure.

"You heard what Indigo said," Solar grunted as her hands pushed against the metal of the structure. "It can't be stopped. I'm gonna fly the damn thing out—"

"Into space!" Supergirl exclaimed.

"Well, it's what needs to be done!" Solar shouted through her struggle.

"Yes but not alone!" Supergirl barely got a step forwards when Anais shot heat energy at the ground just in front of Supergirl's boots.

"It has to be me!" Anais struggled to straighten her legs. The damn structure was strong but Anais was sure all this time her pent up strength would be making a full appearance. "You are Supergirl, you can't die!"

"And neither can you!"

"Your powers stop working as soon as the sun stops shining. It needs to be me. Just keep an eye on my dorky parents, please. And for the love of God, Kara, don't live a boring life," Solar flashed a big smile at her. "I'll come back and haunt you."

Supergirl's eyes glimmered with tears. She looked up at the bright sun then back at J'onn who was still regaining his strength. Never had she felt so helpless.

Anais never felt so strong.

The Solista summoned up all her strength and finally jetted into the sky. The propulsion boosted her through the atmosphere. She in took her final, deep breath just before everything turned dark around her. Space blinked with its stars but Solar closed her eyes and felt confident finally letting go of Fort Rozz.

Her big breath started slipping through her lips. She let the sweet bliss creep over her body, her mind, accepting what was coming for her. It was...fine.

A tall blonde woman stood behind a little blonde girl in front of a grimy window. The room was solitaire, barely furnished, but it was home.

"Mommy, where are they going?" the little girl had her nose pushed up against the window. Her dark brown eyes followed the groups of children walking down the streets with their backpacks on.

"School, Anais. The humans go to school when they're five years old." Irais Mjorkland watched her daughter in silent sadness. She knew how much her daughter wanted to go out and do exactly what the children were doing. "Some a lot younger."

"But I'm five too," Anais turned away from the window, scrunching her nose. "Why can't I go?"

Irais bent down in front of her daughter. "Remember what I said about the humans? About...us needing to stay here?"

"Yeah, but…" Anais pouted and glanced back at the window. "I want to go to school too. It's boring staying here all day."

"The humans are…" Irais watched her words carefully. She often did so as to not panic her daughter.

"They won't like me, huh?" Anais' despondent tone made Irais' heart sink. "Mommy, will the humans always be scared of us?"

Irais put her hands on Anais' shoulders. "They're not all bad. Most of them aren't. They're just...they don't understand that we are not bad people."

"Will it always be like that?"

Irais smiled softly. "No, I don't believe that. You, Anais, will live a long and prosperous life. You have the best of our people - the Solistas - and the best of the humans. And you know what? One day, the humans will see that."

Anais' deep gasp pulled her parents' and Supergirl's gazes towards her. Anais' eyes flickered around the room in confusion. "What...what happened?"

"You don't remember?" her mother leaned on Anais' left side.

"I-I was with...Fort Rozz...but…?"

Kara caught onto Anais' momentary fear. "You flew it into space," she eased Anais' fear with those words. Kara smiled at the foot of the bed. "You saved the world."

"So how did I end up here?"

"Supergirl did the job," Barry smiled possibly the biggest, grateful smile of his life.

Kara sheepishly smiled down. "I used my old pod to bring you back. I'm not living my not-boring life without my roommate."

Anais laughed softly. "Of course not. Thank you."

"No, thank you," Kara looked up at her friend. "Now if you get up from that bed... there's a lot of people out there waiting to say thank you."

"I don't need that…" Anais felt like the only thing she wanted was to spend some time with her parents and friends.

"Yeah, you do," Kara politely disagreed and motioned Anais to get up.

Anais swung her legs to the side of the bed. As her father was going to help her stand, she gripped his wrist. "I saw my Mom…" she looked at the others with a sad smile. "Irais."

"It's natural for memories to flash in your mind after what you went through," Belén moved around the bed to meet her gaze.

"I forgot about that moment," Anais bit her lip. "I wanted to go to school but...we were in hiding." As she spoke, her eyes began to tear up. "She promised me that one day the humans wouldn't see me as a threat - they would see me as another of theirs. They would love me."

"You know what they say," Belén smiled softly. "Mothers are always right." Anais chuckled along with the others. "Now c'mon, Supergirl is right. You have some people who want to say something special to you."

Anais nodded and finally stood up from the bed. She hugged her parents then Kara before walking out of the room. She would never be able to describe the feeling she got when she came into the main room and saw everyone clapping for her. She definitely felt her face warm up like the sun. That was saying something considering she was part of a heat driven race.

"I've spoken with the president," General Lane stepped forwards after the applause ended. "She's indebted to you, Solar and Supergirl. She's also aware of the remarkable courage you demonstrated, J'onn J'onzz. She's granting you a full pardon and reinstating you as director of the DEO."

Everyone around cheered for the reinstatement. J'onn smiled bashfully at the group. "In my absence, Major Lane has performed her duty as director with expertise and integrity. And if there's one thing I've learned in my lifetimes, it's that leaders are stronger working together. From now on, we're all on the same team, no more secrets. Secrets protect no one. They only undermine what we're striving to accomplish, peace. And even though we have defeated Non and Myriad, evil still persists and there are ever more dangers that we face. Our enemies remain at home, abroad and in the skies beyond our world."

After that, there was another round of applause.

"And Solar," General Lane was handed a file by another soldier, "The president also instructed me to give this to you."

Anais' eyes flickered between the folder and the man. She took the file and opened it up. "Another revised contract?" she mumbled. "What more revisions can we add…?" she trailed off after skimming a couple lines. Suddenly, she zipped through them at lightning speed and finished with widened eyes.

"Solar, what is it?" Her father stepped forwards, as did her mother.

"I'm...free," Anais whispered. She slowly looked back at the file, checking as if to make sure that the words suddenly didn't change themselves.

"The President thought it was an absolute disgrace for the country to...own you," General Lane said, and Anais swore she saw a ghost of a smile on him. "You are free from any governmental organization and examination from here on out."

Anais couldn't believe her ears. It took her a couple minutes to gather herself before she erupted into a mess of laughs and cries. "Oh my God! Oh my God! I'm free! I'm free!"

~0~

"I am going to frame this!"

Alex laughed as she set the table with Eliza.

"Kara, can I borrow a hammer and nail?" Anais was holding her release forms in her hands, looking pretty serious in her endeavor.

Kara laughed in the kitchen. "I think you should put those away before you lose them."

Anais rolled her eyes. "Thanks, Mom."

"Hey," her mother herself warned Anais not to even go further on that point. "Kara's right. Put that away before you lose it."

"Your mother's right. Don't make us take those away from you," her father added on.

"Oh my God, what am I? Five?" Anais groaned and zipped out of the living room. She returned half a minute later, still groaning about her parents' treatment of her.

"Kids," Eliza said to the Allens who hummed in agreement.

"Parents," Kara and Alex then mumbled to each other.

"Hey, you guys, um, we have, we have one extra setting," Winn pointed out the extra plate at the table. He was eyeing it, confused, with his hands going back and forth deciding whether or not to take the plate out.

"No, no, leave that one there. It's for Jeremiah," Eliza lightly smiled at the group. "For when he comes back."

At that point, Winn drew his hands back and left the spot right alone.

"He will, Mom," Alex promised her. "I give you my word. We're gonna find Project Cadmus, we're gonna bring him home. Together."

"Hey, Kara, can I borrow you for a second?" James had come up to the kitchen counter with a smile Kara just couldn't refuse. She nodded and followed him to the side of the room. "So, I've taken a lot of photos of Supergirl and I think this one is really special."

"That's so sweet," Kara anxiously waited to see the photograph that was apparently framed.

"Ta da," James revealed a black and white picture of Kara staring to the side, in plain daily activity working.

"Oh. I'm squinting," Kara laughed.

"No, you're smiling with your eyes. Like you are now. It's what happens when you're happy. "

"Yeah, I am happy," Kara freely admitted. It felt so nice being able to live this moment. Things were maybe finally going to lighten up for her. She was even in the prospect of getting a new job at CatCo.

Things were finally going to get good.

A short time later, the group was urging Kara to pull her usual trick. She pushed her glasses up then grabbed the wine bottle.

"It's so cool, watch," Winn practically promised Anais, who had yet to see said trick.

Kara gave a light squeeze at the bottle and made the top blow off with it. Anais laughed and definitely agreed it was a cool trick. She'd have to learn it for the future.

"Let's have a toast," Alex proposed once they all had their glasses poured.

"To Solar and Supergirl," J'onn raised his glass first but the two women simultaneously shook their heads.

"I'm thinking more to family," Kara glanced at Anais who nodded in agreement.

"Love bonds us all," Anais raised her glass in the air.

"To family!" the group chorused then took big swigs from their glasses.

As they were about to have dinner, J'onn pulled Anais to the side. "I've looked into the situation with Arun and...he should be released tomorrow. It's his last examination."

Anais thanked him eternally for it. "Thank you. I really don't see him as a threat. If anything, he is probably going to be teaching me a lot of things."

J'onn smiled, agreeing with her no doubt. The two rejoined the group at the dinner table. But, just when they were about to dig in, they heard a loud rumble in the sky. They hurried towards the windows to see something streaking across the sky.

"What...is that?" Eliza breathed in with horror.

"Nothing good," Kara tore her gaze from the window first. She glanced at Anais and J'onn, nodding them to go.

In less than a minute the three aliens were out in the sky chasing the pod until it crashed in a thankfully solitary place.

"Supergirl, be careful," J'onn warned as the Kryptonian landed beside the pod first.

"That pod...it's identical to mine," Kara studied the pod for a second. "It's from Krypton."

"You don't know that for sure," J'onn didn't think she needed a lecture on how appearances were misleading. Just as she went to get the top off, he called her off. "Supergirl, be careful. You don't know what's in there."

"I'll cover you," Anais' hands glowed orange in preparation for whatever was inside.

Kara tore the top of the pod off to reveal a passenger inside. Anais powered down only when they were sure the passenger, who was a man, was actually out cold.

"Who the hell is that?" Anais' question wasn't one that could be answered at that moment.

Unfortunately, no one would have the answer for days to come.

A/N:

Moving on to season 2! Finally. I know it takes me forever to update and I'm so sorry about it!

Reminder that Anais is OC #3 out of 3 total Arrowverse OC I'm currently writing! The first one being Belén Palayta, and the second being Graciela Haynez from my new Legends of Tomorrow fic too! Feel free to check their stories out under my profile!

As always, I have a tumblr account dedicated to my fanfic works! It's a place where anyone can comment about a story or even just talk to me! I often drop aesthetic work belonging to my stories too! Feel free to check it out, my URL is "saiilorstars"
