Aurasoul: Hello everyone and welcome to Vrains! I give a shout out to 0713MM for helping me type this story along with letting me use his OC Glacies and I don't own Vrains just my OCs.

Ai: Why do you hate us?

Aurasoul: Ai if anything I'm annoyed with Revolver but I digress on that notion given a lot of people were annoyed with him.

Revolver: Oi!

Aurasoul: shut up you know its true! And now on with the show!

Chapter 22

At this point, Lightning and Windy were gone, the portal they went through vanished.

"Oh no..." Ai whimpered.

"In Lightning-sama's name, we will defeat you three." Flare spoke darkly.

"And retrieve the Ignis." Shard spoke emotionlessly.

"For the ideal world Lightning-sama will create." Sparks frowned. At the sight of them being like this, Playmaker and Soulburner stepped back in shock. Revolver on the other hand did not. He remained where he was standing. His facial color returning to deathly white; his body shook violently.

"No…." Revolver whimpered. "No… No no no no no no NO NO!" Revolver fell to his knees and pounded his fists into the ground.

"Revolver..." Playmaker frowned.

"Hmph. Continuing the act Revolver?" Flare spoke darkly, as she stepped forward. "You have lied to us for so long. It infuriates me that you think you can continue to do so." Revolver did not respond to Flare's words. He was in too much shock to say anything. Playmaker and Soulburner bore looks of utmost sympathy at Revolver. Especially when he began to cry again. His tears hitting the ground in between his fists.

"Enough with those fake tears! You have betrayed and lied to us! And that will not be forgiven!" Flare yelled angrily. "Stand up Revolver-No, Ryoken Kogami! It is time I make you pay for what you did to us!" Once again, Revolver did not respond to anything Flare was saying. Ai and Flame glanced at each other, then up at their partners.

"What should we do, Playmaker?" Ai asked his partner. Playmaker stared at Flare, Sparks and Shard.

"Lightning and Windy warped their memories to make them believe they've been working with them this whole time." Playmaker replied. He then glanced at Revolver, who was on his hands and knees, tears continue to fall out of his grey eyes. "As for Revolver...I myself do not believe those tears are fake. They're very real. And with that, I can fully understand why Revolver is acting this way."

"Please Playmaker, don't make me laugh." Flare scoffed. "You don't know what it's like to have the one person you can trust, who you care so deeply for. And then find out that they lied and betrayed you by taking away your own family! He will not be forgiven for this and I'll make sure of that!"

"Revolver…" Playmaker muttered. He then stared down at the crying Revolver. If he was next to him, Playmaker would have slapped him out of his trance. Instead, he went for the verbal slap. "Revolver! Snap the hell out of this! Flare needs you more than ever! Don't just kneel there crying! Stand up, Revolver!" At Playmaker's words, Revolver's grey eyes widened, as if something hit him.

Thank you, Playmaker. Revolver thought. That's just the verbal slap I needed right now. Revolver wiped his eyes and began to stand up.

"So you finally stand up Ryoken. I'll make sure you pay for your lies!" Flare vowed.

"Flare…" Revolver muttered. He clenched his fists tightly. "I promise….. I'll get you back! No matter what! Even if it costs me my own life!"

"Get me back? How far will you lie? You claimed you were our friend, yet you go behind our backs!" She hissed.

"...There's no other choice now…." Revolver muttered. He raised his left arm upwards and activated his duel disk. "The only way I can talk to you is with our cards!"

"With pleasure! I'll have the flames of truth burn you to the core!" Flare smirked, activating her duel disk.

"MASTER DUEL!"

"Will Revolver be ok? I mean can he even duel her?" Ai questioned.

"He has to." Playmaker replied. "You heard him. He vowed to himself to get her back no matter what. Even if he becomes a servant to Lightning and Windy."

"From what you told me of Revolver, he will not lose." Soulburner piped up. Playmaker glanced at Soulburner and shook his head.

"While it is true that Revolver is a highly skilled duelist, if his resolve wavers even a fraction, he will get out of focus and become too afraid to attack. If that happens, he will lose. No matter how skilled he is."

"And his resolve is already shaking!" Ai panicked. "His body is still shaking from that tag duel! He's too afraid to even duel! Even though he knows he has to!"

"He'll no doubt hesitate on hurting Flare. But if he doesn't attack, he can't win." Flame said.

"That's true Flame." Soulburner agreed with his Ignis partner. They turned back to the duel.

"I'll go first!" Revolver declared. He observed the hand his deck had given him. His eyes widened in surprise.

This hand… I can easily get out a Link 3… But at what cost?... Revolver thought. I'll just do this instead… Revolver pressed 2 cards within his hand and they went face-down on his field.

"I place 2 cards face-down and end my turn." Revolver muttered. At the end of his turn, Ai fell anime style and Playmaker's facial expression became grim.

"WHAT?!" Ai shrieked as he got back up. "That's it?! Where's the Link 3 or 4?!"

"He can't do it." Playmaker frowned. "He's too afraid."

"Hesitating Ryoken? How unlike the cold-hearted liar you are." Flare smirked.

"I….." Revolver began. He then turned his gaze away from Flare and looked down at the ground.

"Hmph, no matter. It'll make things easier for me. My turn; draw!" Flare yelled. (Revolver's hand: 3 cards. Flare's hand: 6 cards.)

"Steady yourself Flare, you can't lower your guard." Sparks spoke.

"Believe me, I know that now. With that liar, I can never lower my guard." Flare agreed darkly. Revolver's eyes were shadowed; he was still looking down at the ground.

"...F-Flare….." Revolver muttered softly.

"Silence! I will not hear your so-called excuses!" Flare yelled. "I Summon Flame Truth Witch!" In blue flames, the red haired witch appeared on her field. (Flame Truth Witch, Attribute: Fire, Type: Spellcaster/Effect, Level: 4, Atk Points: 1600, Def Points: 1200.)

"Witch's effect! When she's Normal Summoned, I can see one of your Set cards." Flare said. Revolver looked up and gazed at Flare. His eyes were still a bit watered from crying earlier.

"Then go on and pick." Revolver told her.

"If you insist. I choose the one on your right." Flare spoke. The Set card slowly lifted itself up to reveal its identity. Reverse Engineering; a trap card.

"Reverse Engineering. When that card is in the graveyard, you can banish it and set a trap card from your graveyard and it can be activated the same turn it's set." Sparks remarked.

"Then that means your second face-down is another trap." Flare smirked. "Hmph. You thought I would destroy your face-downs and allow you to use Reverse Engineering to reset that 2nd trap card. How fitting for a deceiver." Revolver said nothing in response. Ai put his hands to his head.

"This is bad! She read right through him!" Ai spoke in a panicked tone.

"In that case, I have a fitting monster in mind." Flare smirked. "I activate the Field Spell, Flame Spiral Tower! Form flaming tower of the Truth Dragon!"

Flames erupted from the ground spiraling around them all, making them gasp. Revolver glanced around the area, then back at Flare.
"So, you decided to activate your Field Spell." Revolver noted.

"That's right. You of all people should know how my tower works Ryoken." Flare said.

"Yeah I do." Revolver retorted. "All your Flame Truth monsters gain 400 ATK. And once per turn, you can Special Summon 1 Flame Truth from either your hand or Graveyard. And on top of all that, each turn, the first time a Flame Truth monster you control would be destroyed, either by battle or by a card effect, it is not destroyed. The last effect still applies even if the Field Spell leaves the field."

"What?!" Soulburner gaped, shocked.

"That's insane!" Flame gasped.

"Bravo, so glad you remember." Flare smirked. "As such, my Witch gains said power boost!" Flame Truth Witch glowed red as her ATK went up to 2000.

"Now you're gonna use your Field Spell's effect to get another Flame Truth monster out, right?" Revolver inquired.

"Of course. I Special Summon Flame Truth Amphithere!" Flare declared. Appearing onto Flare's field next to Witch was a pure gold snake like dragon with white feathers wings lit with white flames on its tail tip. (Flame Truth Amphithere, Attribute: Fire, Level: 4, Atk: 2200 (originally 1800), Def: 1600. Flare's hand: 3 cards. Revolver's hand: 4 cards.) At the sight of the 2 monsters, Ai's panicking increased.

"Aaahhhh!" Ai almost shrieked at a high pitch. "The combined ATK of those 2 monsters is 4200! If Flare attacks now, she'll defeat Revolver in a single turn!" Playmaker grit his teeth at that.

"How naive can you get." Flare spoke with a smirk. An irritated mark appeared above Ai's head.

"What's that supposed to mean?!" Ai snapped.

"For one thing, I won't defeat Ryoken so quickly. He doesn't deserve a swift defeat. And another thing, Amphithere isn't just an ordinary monster." Flare smirked. "It's a Tuner!"

"Tuner?!" Ai gaped.

"So Flare can Synchro Summon as well." Playmaker narrowed his eyes. "Hah. I guess Revolver taught her at one point. Cause all I ever seen her use is Link monsters."

"No, you misunderstand Playmaker." Sparks spoke up. "It wasn't Revolver who taught Flare Synchro. It was Flare who taught Revolver Synchro."

"I see." Playmaker retorted. "Still, I've only seen her use Link monsters.

"Only because I chose not to Synchro Summon at the time. For you see, this monster is my true ace." Flare smirked. "I tune Level 4 Amphithere with Level 4 Witch!" The two monsters disappeared, becoming the rings as they formed a flame, bursting out of it. "Yin Dragon of truth be reborn in your flames to destroy the toxic lies! Synchro Summon! Burn Level 8! Flame Truth Dragon Guardian, Reshira!"The fire exploded in sparks to show Reshira wearing white shoulderless armor and silver collar, wielding a red blazing sword and shield, and her white dragon wings tipped in red. (Flame Truth Dragon Guardian, Reshira, Attribute: Fire, Types: Dragon/Synchro/Effect, Level: 8, Atk/Def: 3400 (originally 3000)/2000.) Revolver stepped backwards upon seeing the Synchro monster.

"3400 ATK…!" Revolver gaped. His lips then formed a sly smile. "You should have listened to the Dark Ignis. Now you have less monsters than before! If you attack me now, I'll still have 600 LP left. But if you had attacked earlier, I would have lost. Guess we're not that different after all Flare! Like me, you too have gone soft! If I was you, I would have attacked with my 2 monsters!"

"Do not compare me to a deceitful liar such as yourself Ryoken." Flare said darkly. "As I said earlier, I want you to suffer for the lies, hurt, and betrayal you caused us. A swift defeat wouldn't satisfy me." Revolver spread his arms out to the side.

"Then go on! Attack me!" Revolver grinned. At Revolver's words, Ai sweat-dropped.

"Uhh ...what's Revolver doing?" Ai questioned.

"Probably trying to provoke her." Playmaker replied. Flare glared at Revolver.

"You should know Reshira's effect better than anyone; for she cannot be targeted by traps! As such, you won't be able to use your other face-down on her." She told him.

"If you're so sure, then attack me!" Revolver retorted. "You have nothing to lose!" Flare grinded her teeth in anger at his remark.

"Why you!" She growled.

"Wait Flare! Don't let him provoke you!" Sparks scowled.

"Quiet! How can I not when he stands there so smug and not caring of the pain he caused all three of us?!" Flare yelled angrily. "I can never forgive him for what he's done!"

"Now I'm curious myself. Why is Revolver provoking Flare?" Flame wondered. "Isn't that the opposite of what he wants to do?"

"It's probably reverse psychology." Soulburner replied. "Not certain why he's doing it at a time like this though. Lightning and Windy made her and her 2 siblings believe they've been working with them for their whole lives or something. I don't understand how rewriting memories work."

"Reshira attack that traitor directly! Sacred Flare!" Flare yelled. Reshira flew high, raising her sword before rushed downward and striking Revolver with a devastating blow. Revolver grunted in pain as he slid backwards several feet, his entire body fizzling blue for a moment before it stopped. (Revolver's LP: 4000 - 3400 = 600.) Playmaker glanced at his archrival in shock.

"REVOLVER!" Playmaker shouted with utmost concern in his voice. However, Playmaker's concerned expression vanished and it became a surprised expression as he saw Revolver's lips form a sad smile.

"He's smiling?!" Ai gaped, shocked.

"Thanks for that Flare!" Revolver told her, his sad smile had not vanished from his lips. "Thanks to you attacking me, I can activate my Set card!"

"What?!" Flare gaped, a shocked expression on her face. Then her shocked expression turned into a smirk. "But Reshira can't be targeted by traps!"

"Whoever said I was targeting your monster?" Revolver replied.

"What?" Flare questioned. Revolver thrusted his right hand forward.

"Trap card activate! Revenge Summon!" Revolver retorted. The face-down revealed itself to Flare.

"No way!" Flare gasped.

"Yes way!" Revolver shot back. "For every 1000 points of damage I took, I can Special Summon 1 monster from either my hand, Deck, or Graveyard with their effects negated!"

"Since he took 3400 points of damage, that means he gets to Special Summon 3 monsters." Playmaker noted.

"That's why he was provoking her then!" Ai said in realization.

"Exactly." Playmaker agreed with his Ignis partner.

"Why you!" Flare growled.

"I choose to Special Summon Anthesrokket Dragon, Magnarokket Dragon and Autorokket Dragon!" Revolver announced. The 3 Dragons emerged onto Revolver's field in DEF Mode. (Anesthrokket Dragon, attribute: DARK, type: Dragon, Level 1, ATK/DEF: 0/2200. Magnarokket Dragon, attribute: DARK, type: Dragon, Level 4, ATK/DEF: 1800/1200. Autorokket Dragon, attribute: DARK, type: Dragon, Level 3, ATK/DEF: 1600/1000.)

"He got you there Flare." Sparks remarked with a hum.

"Damn you! Such a dirty trick! Fitting for someone like you." Flare growled angrily at Revolver. "I'll make sure you pay for it! I place a card face-down and end my turn!" (Flare's hand: 2 cards. Revolver's hand: 3 cards.) Revolver shakily walked forward and back towards the spot he originally stood at.

"H-Heh…. The damage you dish out is as fierce and brutal as ever Flare-No…Miho…" Revolver spoke.

"Yes. For it symbolizes the pain you caused me for lying and the pain you caused us." Flare spoke darkly. "I'll make sure you feel it down to your core!"

"I already do….Miho…" Revolver retorted weakly. Flare gasped before glaring angrily.

"More of your lies I see." She hissed. Revolver raised his right hand up and placed it on the left side of his chest. When Revolver did this, Ai, Flame and Soulburner gaped, while watched carefully.

Are you going to confirm what I think you're going to confirm, Revolver? Playmaker thought.

"What's Revolver doing?" Flame questioned. Soulburner shrugged.

"He's got me confused just as much as you and Ai." Soulburner remarked. He glanced at Playmaker before continuing. "Hey Playmaker, what is Revolver doing?"

"I have an idea." Playmaker retorted. "But only Revolver can 100% confirm it at this point."

"What would that be?" Ai questioned.

"Just listen." Playmaker spoke nonchalantly.

"Oi! Fine." Ai huffed.

"Playmaker." Revolver began. "You have no idea how much pain I'm in right now."

"I have an idea." Playmaker spoke.

"You might, but can't fully understand it. You've haven't been in a relationship before. A romantic one, at least." Revolver frowned.

"What are you getting at, Revolver?" Soulburner inquired before Playmaker could reply.

"What I'm getting at Soulburner…" Revolver began as he turned around to face Soulburner. "Is that me and Miho…. Are in a relationship." Soulburner, Ai and Flame gasped in surprise while Playmaker gave a sad smile.

"I knew it." Playmaker spoke. "I just couldn't confirm it fully without jumping to conclusions."

"You and Flare!?" Ai gaped, shocked.

"We had no idea…" Soulburner agreed, surprised.

"Yeah; this is surprising to hear." Flame nodded.

"Now do you understand?" Revolver told them. "Do you understand why I'm feeling so much pain?" He shook his head. "Of course you can't. In which case, leave your sympathy comments inside your heads!"

"Revolver…" Playmaker muttered softly.

"Be quiet!" Flare yelled furiously. "Don't you dare go on about your so-called pain! You're just a liar who lied about everything to me! About Kogami, Yukiko, the Knights of Hanoi, everything! You might as well have lied when you claimed you loved me!" When Flare said that, Revolver felt as if those words had pierced his heart. His facial color turned deathly pale and his body began to shake violently.

"M-Miho…" Revolver whispered, his words almost inaudible. Even Playmaker's facial color turned slightly pale.

"...She broke him…..." Playmaker whispered softly. "Revolver can't go on like this…" Revolver fell to his knees to stop them from shaking, but to no avail.

"M-Miho….." Revolver whispered again. "I…..I would never lie to you about my feelings for you…"

"Revolver!" Revolver gasped, then looked up at who had spoken. It was none other than Playmaker.

"Playmaker…." Revolver spoke softly.

"Miho's memories, like her siblings, have been warped by Lightning and Windy! The things she's saying aren't true! Lightning and Windy did this to break us! If you let it, then Lightning and Windy have already won! Don't let her false words drag you down!" Playmaker then clenched his right hand and thrusted it towards Revolver.

"Get Miho, the one you love the most, back! You vowed to yourself to do so! Don't back down! Fight back, Revolver!"

"Playmaker…" Revolver muttered. He then picked himself off the ground and stood up. His grey eyes shined with utmost determination.

"Get me back? Don't make me laugh. Lightning-sama is the only one who speaks the truth to me." Flare retorted darkly.

"You're wrong!" Revolver shot back. "Playmaker is right about what he said! Lightning and Windy reprogrammed you and your siblings to try and break our resolve!"

"Enough! Take your turn traitor so I can make you suffer for your lies!" Flare yelled angrily.

"If you insist! I draw!" Revolver declared as he drew his card. (Revolver's hand: 4 cards. Flare's hand: 2 cards.) Revolver observed his hand and the card he drew. His sad smile had not vanished from his lips.

"Miho, I'm getting you back to your normal self….. Whether your like it or not! I Summon Linkrokket Dragon!" A blue armored dragon appeared on the field. (Linkrokket Dragon, attribute: DARK, type; Dragon, Level 4, ATK/DEF: 1800/400.)

"He's got 4 monsters now. Which means-" Flame spoke.

"A Link 4 Summon!" Ai finished.

"Linkrokket Dragon…" Playmaker mused.

"Never seen that one before." Ai said.

"It must be new." Playmaker added.

"It is, Playmaker, Ai." Revolver replied. He looked down at the monster card on his duel disk, then back at Playmaker and Ai. "And it's a card that'll help me save Miho from Windy and Lightning's program! It has to! I activate Linkrokket Dragon's effect! I can either pay LP equal to the other number of Link Materials needed x100, and/or send the top card of my deck to the graveyard equal to the other Link Materials needed. I choose to pay 200 LP and send 1 card from my deck to the Graveyard to allow this monster to count as 4 Link Materials for a Link Summon!"

"Whoa!" Ai gaped. "That's some powerful monster effect!"

"And that's just its 1st effect." Revolver smirked. "It's other effects follow that of the other Rokket monsters!"

"With that, Linkrokket Dragon counts as 4 Link Materials!" Soulburner spoke. Revolver raised his right arm upwards.

"Manifest! The Future Circuit that lights up my path!" Revolver announced. The blue circuit appeared in front of Revolver's field. "Now normally, this monster requires at least 3 Effect Monsters. But due to Linkrokket Dragon's effect, it now counts as 4 Link Materials! I set Linkrokket Dragon into the Link Markers! Link Summon! Come forth! Link 4! Borrelsword Dragon!" The dragon with a sword on its head emerged onto Revolver's field in the Extra Monster Zone. (Borrelsword Dragon, attribute: DARK, type: Dragon/Link, Link Rating: 4, Link Arrows: T/L/BL/B, ATK: 3000. Revolver's hand: 3 cards. Revolver's LP: 600 - 200 = 400.) Revolver thrusted his right hand forward, then upwards.

"I now set my other 3 monsters into the Link Markers! The Summoning conditions are at least 2 Effect Monsters! Link Summon! Appear now! Triple Burst Dragon!" The brown armored dragon that had 3 guns on its chest appeared onto Revolver's field in the bottom zone that Borrelsword pointed to. (Triple Burst Dragon, attribute: DARK, type: Dragon/Link, Link Rating: 3, Link Arrows: T/L/B, ATK: 2400.)

"Borrelsword and Triple Burst don't have enough power to beat Reshira." Flare frowned.

"Are you sure?" Revolver retorted with a smile on his lips.

"What?" Flare glared.

"Oh, Borrelsword's effect." Sparks remarked. Revolver thrusted his right hand forward.

"Battle! Borrelsword Dragon attack Reshira!" Revolver declared. The dragon charged towards Reshira. Flare thrusted her right hand forward.

"I won't let you! I activate-!"

"Don't bother Miho!" Revolver interjected. "I activate Borrelsword Dragon's effect! I switch your Synchro monster to DEF Mode! And because I have, you cannot activate cards or effects in response to this effects activation! Not only that, but Borrelsword Dragon can attack twice during each Battle Phase this turn!"

"Great! Once he destroys Reshira, he can attack Flare directly twice and win!" Soulburner grinned.

"There's more." Playmaker chimed in. "Borrelsword Dragon gains half of Reshira's ATK, then her ATK is halved."

"So that puts Borrelsword Dragon at 4700 ATK, and Reshira at 1700." Ai calculated. Reshira went into a defensive position after Borrelsword Dragon switched its battle position. Just as Borrelsword Dragon was about to slash right through her, Revolver stared at a card in his hand.

This card… Revolver thought. If I play it, I can deal damage to Flare. But at what cost? He shook his head. No! Right now Miho is not herself! I HAVE to play this card! Revolver grabbed the card he was staring at and sent it to his Graveyard.

"I activate the Quick-Play Spell card, Charging Bullet! With this, if a Dragon Link monster attacks a monster whose in Defense position, the difference is dealt to you as damage!"

"You forget! Because of my field spell, Reshira won't be destroyed in this battle!" Flare yelled.

"True. But you still take 2700 damage!" Revolver retorted. Reshira quickly raised her shield to block most of Borrelsword's attack. Flare winced as her body went blue static for a moment from the damage. (Flare's LP: 4000 - 2700 = 1300.)

"Miho!" Revolver called out to her. "Are you alright?!"

"Stop with that fake look! It makes me sick!" Flare snarled. "Your lies won't work! So quit it!"

"...Then I have no choice…" Revolver muttered. He thrusted his right hand forward. "Battle! Borrelsword Dragon, attack Reshira again! This is for your own good Miho! Come back to me, Miho! I love you!" Borrelsword Dragon charged towards Reshira once again, preparing to slash the guardian in 2. Flare gasped before lowly growling, the flames burning brightly.

"Shut up… SHUT UP!" She yelled. "Trap activate! Mirror Force!" A bright light covered the whole field. Revolver, Playmaker, Soulburner, Ai and Flame all covered their eyes.

"Wh-What?!" Revolver gaped.

"Oh no! Now all of Revolver's monsters are gone!" Ai panicked.

"You forgot whose idea it was to add this trap in your deck." Flare snarled, panting heavily. "Now stop with those lies! I can't take it!"

"Aaah! She's becoming more dangerous!" Ai panicked. The bright light consumed the whole field, then Revolver's 2 Link Monsters shattered. Revolver bore a somewhat blank expression. Despite that however, Revolver's lips formed a sad smile and the blank expression vanished.

"Yes. I remember that it was your idea for me to add Mirror Force to my own deck." Revolver retorted. He grabbed the last 2 cards in his hand and placed them face-down. "I end my turn. Your move Miho." (Revolver's hand: 0 cards. Flare's hand: 2 cards.)

"My turn; draw!" Flare yelled. "Yes. And believe me, I regretted it once I found out you were the leader of the Knights of Hanoi."

"Can't change the past." Revolver spoke. "What's done is done. You can't change the fact that it's in my deck now." Both Ai and Flame sweat-dropped at Revolver's remarks.

"He's one to talk." Flame muttered.

"Yeah. Even worse. He has no monsters on his field."

"And is that your excuse for kidnapping Shard and using her the way you did?! Not even telling us what happened to your dad or anything!?" Flare demanded angrily.

"What does what happened to my dad have to do with this?!" Revolver snapped back. "My Dad is dead! All I have left for any sort of family is Baira, Faust, Genome, Spectre, Shard, Sparks and you Miho! But….you mean more to me than that! I love you more than anything! So what if Lightning and Windy rewrote your memories? I'll still love you! You can call me a liar and a traitor all you want Miho, but my feelings for you will not change! You can claim they're fake, but they're not! But if nothing I say truly matters to you, then…" Revolver raised his right arm and put it right above his duel disk. When Ai, Flame, Soulburner and Playmaker saw this, the 4 of them gaped.

"What's Revolver doing?!" Soulburner inquired.

"Is he….surrendering?" Playmaker wondered aloud. Then his green widened. "But if he does that, then-!"

"He'll become a servant to Windy and Lightning." Flame finished.

"Wait, Revolver!" Ai called out.

"Oh ho! This is an interesting turn of events." Sparks remarked, mildly surprised. "But it will make things easier for us."

"Affirmative." Shard agreed emotionlessly. "Revolver being on our side will indeed make things easier for us."

"REVOLVER!" Playmaker screamed in a pleading manner. "DON'T DO IT!"

"DON'T YOU DARE!" They all looked up, shocked at Flare as she clutched her hands tightly in anger as she glared at Revolver. "Don't you dare surrender this duel on me! You hear me Revolver?! You dare mock me by surrendering like this?! How dare you!"

"Oi Flare! What are you doing?!" Sparks demanded with a frown.

"Stay out of this Sparks! This is between me and him!" Flare hissed, clutching her head tightly. Ai glanced between Revolver and Flare. A light bulb appeared above his head.

"Playmaker! I know what Revolver is doing!" Ai told his partner. "He's breaking through those fake memories Lightning and Windy gave her!"

"So Revolver's not going to surrender?" Soulburner questioned.

"Correct." Ai grinned. "Just look!" Revolver lowered his right hand from near the top of his duel disk.

"What's wrong Flare? Why did you disagree with your siblings?" Revolver asked her. "I thought you'd want someone like me working under an Ignis. Or is it because you think a victory handed to you isn't satisfying enough? If you believe the latter, then I know that the real you is still in there!"

"SHUT UP!" Flare snarled. "I have to be the one who makes you pay!"

"Even though you're under the control of an Ignis?" Revolver continued.

"I said shut up! You make it sound like you'll win when we both know that's not the case! Once I attack you with Reshira on my turn, it'll be all over for you!" Flare yelled.

"Then go ahead and attack." Revolver spoke as calmly as he possibly could, despite the situation and the pain in his heart.

"Ugh! I switch Reshira back to ATK Mode." Flare scowled. Reshira stood tall, raising her sword and shield once she was in ATK mode.

"This isn't good. If Reshira attacks and is successful, Revolver will lose." Flame spoke.

"And he can't activate his face-downs because of Reshira's effect either." Soulburner frowned, worried.

"Wrong Soulburner." Playmaker chimed in. "He can activate them. But if any of them target Reshira, then they cannot be used." Flare thrusted her right hand forward.

"This is the end for you, Revolver!" Flare yelled. "Reshira, attack Revolver directly! Sacred Flare!" Reshira flew upwards, raising her sword as she rushed to strike Revolver. The strike at Revolver created an explosion that covered Revolver's entire field.

"No!" Ai pounded the edge of Playmaker's duel disk. "Revolver lost?!"

"No." Playmaker retorted. "He couldn't have." The smoke began to clear on Revolver's side of the field. Enough had cleared at this point for them to see that Revolver was kneeling on the ground.

"No way…!" Soulburner breathed. "He lost….." Playmaker grit his teeth. However, his expression changed to utmost surprise when he saw the smoke finally cleared to show a face-up trap card on Revolver's field. (Revolver's LP: 400 - 3400 = 0.)

"A trap!" Ai yelled.

"What is going on?!" Flare shrieked, shocked. After the smoke vanished completely, Revolver stood up fully, his lips formed a smile.

"You lot are probably wondering how I'm still here." Revolver spoke. "As for why, I think this trap explains it! I activated the trap card, Linked Soul! If my LP hits 0, I can Special Summon 1 Link monster from either my Extra Deck, Graveyard or banished zone to my field. And as long as I control that monster, I cannot lose the Duel! If the Summoned monster by this effect is used as Material for the Summon of an Extra Deck monster, then that new monster becomes my lifeline. Also, the Link Rating of that Summoned Link monster is also treated as a Level!"

"A Level?!" Flare gaped, shocked.

"He's still in it!" Ai cheered, relieved. A Link monster card ejected itself out of Revolver's duel disk.

"The Link monster I choose to Summon is….. Borreload Dragon!" Revolver revealed. The armored dragon emerged onto Revolver's field. (Borreload Dragon, attribute: DARK, type: Dragon/Link, Link Rating: 4, Link Arrows: L/R/BL/BR, ATK: 3000.)

"Ugh. I end my turn." Flare grunted. "But once I destroy that dragon, it'll be all over for you."

"I know." Revolver replied. He looked down at his deck.

This is the last turn.. Revolver thought. I have to make this count! Otherwise...I will lose… For real this time... Revolver placed his right hand on top of his deck. He looked up at Flare.

"Miho." Revolver began. "I do not care if I lose. All I care about is getting you back to normal! And I will! DRAW!" (Revolver's hand: 1 card.)

"What card did he draw?" Ai wondered.

"We're about to find out." Playmaker answered. Revolver glanced at the card he drew. He smiled sadly.

"This is the end of the line, Miho." Revolver spoke.

"What?" Flare demanded with a frown.

"If you don't believe me, I'll show you! I activate the Spell card…...Monster Reborn!"

"That's the card he drew?!" Ai gaped. "What a perfect card to draw!"

"With this, I revive the Flame Truth Amphithere residing in your Graveyard to my field!"

"My Amphithere?!" Flare gaped, shocked. Flare's monster appeared onto Revolver's side of the field. After that was done, Revolver raised his right arm upwards.

"I tune Level 4 Amphithere with my treated Level 4 Borreload Dragon!" Revolver announced.

"Is he?!" Soulburner gaped.

"I think he is!" Playmaker agreed. The monsters turned into blue rings. Shortly after, Revolver began to chant.

"Heroic dragon! Fire by transforming your ferocious fangs into bullets! Synchro Summon! Come out, Level 8! Borreload Savage Dragon!" The white armored dragon appeared onto Revolver's field and it roared at Reshira and Flare. (Borreload Savage Dragon, attribute: DARK, type; Dragon/Synchro, Level 8, ATK/DEF: 3000/2500.)

"H-He Synchro Summoned..." Flare said, stunned. She then winced clutching, her head tightly. Memories of the two when they were young appearing in her mind. One of those memories was that of when she taught him Synchro Summoning. "No way…! No way!"

"Her reprogramming is breaking! One more push!" Ai yelled.

"Remember Miho?" Revolver told her. "You taught me Synchro Summoning! And I find it fitting that it shall be my path to defeating you and getting you back! Borreload Savage Dragon's effect! I equip Borrelsword Dragon to Savage Dragon as an equip card! Not only that, but this card gains 1 Borrel Counter per that equipped Link monsters Link Rating. Since Borrelsword Dragon is Link 4, Savage Dragon gains 4 Counters! Additionally, Savage Dragon gains half the ATK of the equipped monster." Four yellow orbs flew into Borreload Savage Dragon's chestplate, giving it 4 Borrel Counters. Not only that, but the Synchro monster glowed red as its ATK rose to 4500.

"4500 ATK!" Flare gasped.

"Impressive I'll admit." Playmaker replied. His lips then formed a frown. "Unfortunately for Revolver, that's not enough to defeat Flare this turn."

"Plus with her Field Spell still active, Reshira can't be destroyed once per turn." Soulburner added. Playmaker glanced at the face-down that was placed down during Revolver's last turn.

"Could that set card be the key to his victory?" Playmaker wondered. Revolver thrusted his right hand forward.

"Battle!" Revolver declared. "Borreload Savage Dragon attack Guardian Reshira!' Borreload Savage Dragon opened its mouth, which revealed a cannon. It charged up said cannon, preparing to fire.

"Because of my Field Spell, Reshira will not be destroyed in battle this turn!" Flare yelled, as Reshira raised her shield, readying herself for the oncoming attack.

"Even if she cannot be destroyed in battle once per turn, you'll still take the damage!" Revolver shot back.

"But Revolver!" Playmaker began. "That damage isn't-!"

"It is!" Revolver interjected. "And here's why! I activate the trap, Destruction Bullet! I banish Borrelsword Dragon from my Graveyard…then my Borreload Savage Dragon gains ATK equal to the banished Borreload Dragon!"

"But that means-!" Flare began.

"Borreload Savage Dragons gain an additional 3000 ATK!" Revolver finished. Borreload Savage Dragon glowed red as its ATK rose to 7500. "Not only that, but your monsters lose that much ATK, also...the damage you take is doubled!"

"Doubled?!" Flare gasped.

"Guardian Reshira's ATK is now at 400, and Savage Dragon has 7500 ATK." Ai noted. "Normally the damage is 7100, but thanks to Destruction Bullet, that means the total damage is…" His eyes widened in shock at the answer. "14,200 points of damage?!"

"No way…!" Flare gasped. Borreload Savage Dragon's charged up cannon blaster fired and went right through Guardian Reshira. Even though she was not destroyed in battle via the Field Spell, an explosion still consumed Flare's side of the field.

"AAAAHHH!" Flare shrieked, being sent flying backwards because of the explosion. After the smoke and dust died down, Flare was on her back. (Flare's LP: 1300 - 14,200 = 0.) Revolver breathed heavily after that last attack.

"It's over…" Revolver spoke softly to himself. "Miho is now free from Windy and Lightning's control…"

"Is she ok?" Ai asked, worried. Playmaker was about to answer, but Revolver had already strode towards Flare. He knelt down and shook her shoulders gently.

"Flare. Flare wake up, please!" Revolver pleaded. Flare winced, slowly opening her eyes, looking up to see him.

"R-Revolver…" She spoke softly, slowly sitting up. "Ugh my head what…?!" She gasped and remembered what had happened, covering her mouth looking at Revolver.

"R-Revolver! I-I am so sorry! What I said back there! I mean I didn't-Oh my God...I can't believe I said all that!" She whimpered painfully. What happened next made Playmaker and Soulburner smile. Revolver hugged Flare tightly.

"Fl-Flare…!" Revolver cried into her shoulder. "N-No… Miho!" She gasped, stunned at him using her real name again.

"Glad you're back Flare." Playmaker told her as he and Soulburner walked over. "But do not blame yourself for any hateful things you said to Revolver." Playmaker narrowed his eyes before adding. "If you're going to blame anyone…blame Windy and Lightning!" Flare looked at Playmaker before looking at Revolver, hugging him back.

"I missed you so much Ryoken..." She spoke gently. "And I love you too." Revolver felt his cheeks turned dark red at him remembering that he had said that during the duel between him and Flare. However, the embarrassment present on his face vanished shortly after. Even though he was still crying, the words that Flare said earlier still rang through his head. He knew they weren't her real words but...they still had hurt. Really bad. Flare saw this and moved his head so he would face her.

"Revolver believe me when I say this, I always knew you were telling the truth when you told me you loved me. It was the happiest day of my life." She admitted with a small smile. She wiped the tear streaks off his cheeks as she went on. "And I'll admit I was hurt that you weren't honest with me and Sparks about the Lost Incident, your dad, the Knights of Hanoi, and Shard. But then I began thinking and realized that you didn't tell us because you just wanted to protect us and not drag us on committing a felony which is understandable. As for Shard, she admitted she went along with it willingly after talking with you." She said with a weak chuckle. Flare gave a soft sigh, but smiled still. "You were always protecting us, even Shard. Making sure she wouldn't sustain any permanent damage by the tower. You always cared and it's one of the reasons why I love you." Ai was tearing up as Flare wiped away a stray tear.

"Heh sorry. Now I'm crying." She smiled sheepishly. "Just know. Even if it wasn't really me saying all that, I am very sorry for saying those things. I really am."

"I….." Revolver began. "I…." At Revolver's hard time to say that he accepts Flare's apology, Playmaker rolled his eyes in irritation.

"Oh for crying out loud!" Playmaker snapped. "Just say that you accept her apology! It's not that hard to say, is it?" Revolver glared at Playmaker as if to say "Stay out of this!". Playmaker smirked lightly, while Flare giggled.

"I accept your apology, Miho." Revolver spoke. Flare smiled, then with a devious grin, she kissed him before moving back, a grin on her face. Playmaker glanced down at Ai, who had taken a photo of the kiss via the duel disk. Playmaker chuckled lightly at his Ignis partner's antics. Revolver bore a stunned expression during and after Flare kissed him. He blinked several times before hearing laughter. He glanced over and saw that it was Playmaker's Ignis partner, Ai. he glared at the Ignis.

"You're extremely lucky that we're on the same side for now, Dark Ignis." Revolver warned. "Otherwise I would have dueled Playmaker to obtain and kill you." Ai sweat-dropped at Revolver's words.

"Oh yeah…" Ai muttered.

"That goes for me too, huh." Flame spoke. Revolver glanced at the Fire Ignis and nodded.

"Right." He retorted. Flare laughed.

"Oh loosen up a little Revolver. After all-"! She suddenly gasped, quickly forming her flames. She swiftly shielded them all from a shot of blue electricity that nearly managed to hit them.

"How unfortunate Flare." Sparks stepped forward, his hand emanating the blue electricity of his program, a frown on his face. Flare gave a strained smirk.

"That's a bit much, don't you think Sparks?" She spoke.

"Do not misunderstand, I was aiming for the others you know. I would never harm you." Sparks spoke nonchalantly. "Though I'll have to take you back to Lightning-sama for another reprogramming."

"And you honestly think I'll go willingly?" Flare smirked.

"My program is the only thing that can counter yours." Sparks reminded her.

"It's the same for you too." Flare reminded him. "If you try, we'll just be going back at one another for eternity you know this."

"Indeed I do. But for the sake of the ideal world Lightning-sama wants, I will recapture you." Sparks said, blue electricity forming around him.

"Oh really? I won't make it easy for you." Flare smirked, fire forming around her.

"They're gonna go at it!" Ai panicked.

"Flare wait! If you two continue like this!" Revolver yelled.

"Sorry, but I'm stepping in!" Sparks and Flare gasped as Soulburner stepped between them.

"Soulburner what are you doing?!" Flare demanded.

"I'll be the one to duel Sparks." Soulburner told her.

"What?!" Flare said shocked.

"How did you even get out?!" Ai yelped.

"I managed to break the coding Lightning and Windy created although difficult it was." Flame sighed.

"A duel? Soulburner I rather not want to duel you." Sparks frowned.

"Sparks." Shard spoke up emotionlessly, making him turn to face her. "Acquiring the Fire Ignis, Flame, is also a top priority along with acquiring the Dark Ignis, Ai. Dueling him is mandatory."

"I suppose that is true." Sparks sighed, before facing Soulburner. "Very well Soulburner, I shall accept your challenge. And upon my win, I shall gain Flame for Lightning-sama."

"As if!" Flame scowled.

"Don't think you'll win Sparks. I'll make sure to snap you out of it." Soulburner smirked.

"Hmph. Such naivety." Sparks slightly smiled, before growing serious. "Let us begin."
