Thanks for the patience and comments while I was taking a break last month! In exchange, I'll be posting another chapter right after this one.

This chapter is a brief flashforward to after all the Servants are back in Cosmos in the Lostbelt, since the Inheritance of Glory event can actually take place during part two.
Hope you enjoy it!

It was a fairly peaceful moment in the Wandering Sea.
And since it was after the lunch rush, it was quite peaceful in the cafeteria as well. A few people and Servants who had purposefully waited until the big eater Servants had passed were enjoying a late lunch, respectfully keeping their voices low when they conversed so as not to bother the others.

Amakusa himself had enjoyed a light meal, and was now drinking some tea along with Kotarou and Touta.

When Kotarou suddenly stood up from his seat, his two companions looked up. The Assassin headed over to the entrance, and the other two just now noticed Gudako standing there with someone else.

Amakusa frowned when he looked at the young man standing next to Gudako. He was definitely not a member of Chaldea, but he looked extremely familiar.
And then Amakusa nearly choked on his tea as he recognized him, to Touta's surprise and concern.

"Greetings Master," Kotarou said with a polite bow.

"Heya, Kotarou."

"You're… a ninja?" The young man asked.

"That's right. Um, Master, who is this…?"

"This is Sieg: from today on he's one of Chaldea's Servants. I was just showing him around." Not a single person (besides Goredolf when he was introduced earlier in the command room) questioned how she managed to gain a new Servant without rayshifting or using the summoning system, accepting this was just Gudako being Gudako.

"Right," Sieg started, seemingly only now remembering he's supposed to introduce himself.

"My name is Sieg. I look forward to working with you in the future," he said with a polite bow, though the glimmer in his eyes betrayed his excitement at meeting a ninja so soon.

"Likewise."

It was a very tender-looking scene, so Touta failed to understand why Amakusa – between trying not to spit out all of his tea while coughing – was giving very mixed looks at the newcomer.

Amakusa had just managed to recover, assuring Touta with a weak smile that he was fine now, when Sieg gave Gudako and Kotarou a moment to talk as he looked around the cafeteria.

And then his eyes met the Ruler's, and both froze on the spot.

It was like they'd entered an impromptu staring competition, neither averting their eyes with unreadable expressions on their faces. They kept it up so long even others began to notice it, Gudako looking particularly concerned.

The situation was not helped when Jeanne arrived. Sure, initially she served as a brief distraction for Sieg, the two discussing a promise of a future meeting between Jeanne and someone else that Gudako didn't really get, but soon enough she too noticed the awkward stare they were getting from Amakusa.

And then it turned into a two vs. one awkward staring competition.

As Gudako looked on in concern, she for the umpteenth time wondered what in the world Amakusa did that nearly every Servant that actually recognized him was like this.

(With the exception of Semiramis, who instead got annoyed at Amakusa's friendliness but the two clearly got along. While she was ashamed and would never admit it aloud, Gudako couldn't help but feel concern whenever she saw the two of them chatting amicably like that.)

Eventually Amakusa stood up and walked towards Sieg, the two of them appearing to settle for awkwardly acknowledging each other, allowing the Master to continue the tour of the Wandering Sea she was giving Sieg.
