Land of Heroes: DC Style comes from Harbinger of Kaos. I just write the reactions, and I still down own any of the characters.

Hope you're ready. Things are about to get crazy as the league learns of the mysterious Spartan's true origins.

Chapter 6: With great technology…comes new ways to kick ass

It had been three weeks since they received the strange device from the mysterious, Isom. Since then, they had decided it would be a good idea to shift the technology through the different companies. Bruce got the medical stuff while Queen Consolidated would get the different pieces of machines, and STAR Labs would get different aerial blueprints of faster jets and drives, some of which would be donated to Ferris Aircrafts, anonymously of course. In the meantime, some of the defensive systems that were set up were currently being used to upgrade the watchtower, adding thicker armor and more advance security measures. Bruce did not want another repeat of what happened with the Injustice League the first time around.

Bruce Wayne sat at his desk in Wayne towers. If anyone saw him now, they would be surprised to see such a serious expression on the normally aloof playboy philanthropist. He was currently going through the data given through his different systems and the different areas.

The alter ego of the Batman stood up from his desk and walked out of the office, a checklist in his hands. He made his way through the room to find an elevator. With a press of a few buttons, and a slide of a card, he went down to the some of the more secret areas of the Wayne Towers.

Batman entered the medical division and walked in to find that there was something different. In the middle of the medical division was a large table, with several different pieces of technology and above it that looked like various needles.

"Lucius," Bruce said, "How has the new system come together."

Lucius Fox, head of R & D and builder of many of the Batman's many gadgets, smiled and said, "Oh, Mr. Wayne, glad to see you here. We're currently going through the testing for the systems for our new restoration system."

Bruce nodded with a smile and said, "And how is that going?"

Lucius smiled and said, "Very well, so far. We've managed to successfully clone several organs and body parts. So far, all experiments involving organ transfusion have been successful. If everything goes smoothly, we should be able to move on to human transfusions within a month."

Bruce nodded and asked, "What of that enhanced morphine?"

Luscius flipped through a few papers and said, "Ah yes. The testing so far has yielded great results. However, I hope that you managed to secure that little security issue we had a few days ago."

Bruce scowled as he remembered that incident. Apparently, rumors were spread about Wayne Enterprises making a new medical breakthrough. A few weeks prior, he had found that a man who had been working for Lex Corp, had tried to steal the formula they were working with. Thankfully, security managed to stop him before he could escape. Since then, Bruce had upped security, refusing to let this kind of technology fall into the wrong hands.

Lucius cleared his throat and said, "Now then, we've yet to complete the entire formula yet, however we are making great progress. By my predictions, if we continue at the rate we are, we should have it ready to go into the stages of human testing in three weeks."

Bruce nodded glad to see.

"And what of the other projects?" Bruce asked, quirking an eyebrow.

Lucius gained a knowing smile as he walked past them and said, "This way Mr. Wayne. I know you'll be interested in seeing what I've made."

Bruce and Lucius then proceeded to the elevator. Once inside, Bruce inserted a card into a hidden slot beside the keypad. Then he punched a few numbers in. The elevator then went down. After reaching the basement level, it went down even farther. The elevator came to a stop and the two entered the room.

There were multiple machines and vehicles built up all over the place. There were various weapons and tools, including different boomerangs, devices, and other systems.

"So, what have you been working on down here?" Bruce asked, wonder what he had been working on.

Lucius smiled and said, "Well, first off, I've been adding some of the new metal materials you sent me to add the batmobile and multiple vehicles, as well as the new engine specifications and amplifications. With all these, your vehicles should be able to move faster. I've clocked the batmobile at nearly twice it's normal top speed, as well as the boat and the batwing."

Bruce then asked, "What of the other project?"

The man smiled and said, "Oh, that project is nearly finished."

The man pressed a took Bruce to a different part of the lab. There were multiple types of suits on display, all of them Batman suits, a few batgirls, and some changed Robin costumes. However, the one on display was the most eye catching.

It looked like the signature batsuit, except it seemed to be mixed with armor. The suit was predominately black, with areas of dark gray in certain areas on the sides, arms, and a dark gray bat symbol on the chest. The suit had armored plating over the chest and abdomen which resembled muscles, unlike some of the suits, this one lacked a cape. If you looked on the boots, gloves, shoulders, and back you could make out what looked like various thrusters. The cowl had been replaced with a helmet that resembled the signature batman cowl, with a pair of dark blue glowing eyes.

Bruce looked over the suit and said, "Impressive."

Lucius smiled and explained, "Well, after getting the blueprints, I decided it would be a good idea to revived the old armor system, version 8.03 if I remember correctly. The suit has a special Kevlar weave with ceramic plates centered around the chest and a holographic projector system for communication. The suit also has a specialized tri-wave bodysuit that consists of an outer and inner layer of titanium-dipped tri-weave fiber mesh. Sandwiched in those layers is an MR fluid armor system, that can harden with impacts to enhance shock absorption, as well as greater maneuverability."

Bruce asked, "Nice. I see you've added a few other things."

Lucius smiled and said, "You have a keen eye Mr. Wayne. You see, I mixed in a few parts from the, what was it, oh yes, the augmented reaction suit. I mixed in the carbon-nanite-based textile to increase the durability of the suit, especially around the mask and the chest, to increase durability, but not decrease mobility, it also includes a special healing system to regenerate wounds faster, which should come in handy. I also added various thrusters from the system to increase speed. To help with this, I added the enhancement system to the cowl to allow enhanced perception. The suit should also greatly enhance your strength."

Bruce said, "I have a distinct feeling you're about to say but."

Lucius nodded and said, "Well, because of technological differences, I wasn't able to make the strength increase as drastic. On top of that, I'm still working on seeing if the suit is ready for use by humans."

The man nodded in understanding. He knew that this technology could be dangerous if used improperly, the same for his training.

"What about the other upgrades to the equipment?" Bruce asked.

He nodded and said, "Ah, well, your projectiles are now made of a lighter alloy, but they won't lose any force when thrown. I put this new alloy in the tools used by Dick, Tim, and Barbara. It may take a few days, but they should be ready for deployment."

Bruce just smiled and said, "Good to know. Keep me posted on anymore of your work, Lucius."

The man smiled and said, "Of course, Mr. Wayne."

Bruce walked out and let his friend do his work. he idly wondered what else could be done with this technology.

Meanwhile in Star City…

Oliver Queen was going over some of the new information involving how the technology he had gotten from the device was going. So far, things had gone well. There had been a break in earlier that week by Captain Cold and Heatwave, but nothing the combined efforts of the Green Arrow and Arsenal couldn't handle.

Speaking of which, he decided it was time for a little visit to his personal R&D department.

The secret identity of the green arrow walked down the path to his estate. He walked towards a door, that not many knew off, a book case. He pulled a certain book, ironically Robin hood, and book case slid to the side. Oliver entered the secret elevator and the doors to it closed, as the bookcase slid back in front, leaving no signs that it had been moved at all.

After a few minutes, the elevator stopped and the man exited the room. He had entered his own private sanctum. The home base of the Green Arrow and his partner, Arsenal…the Arrowcave…or, after an argument about how stupid it sounded, the Quiver.

Arrow walked down and saw some familiar faces. The faces belonged to two blond women, one looked like she belonged in a lab, given her lab coat, blonde ponytail styled hair, and glasses. The other looked like she could entertain with a cleavage revealing black shirt, shorts, fishnet stockings, small boots, and a blue jacket.

The third face stood out amongst them with his outfit. He wore what looked like a red version of the green arrow costume with a hood and domino mask on his face. On his back was a quiver and a he had a very advanced looking bow in his hands.

In order, they were Felicity Smoak, Dina Lance aka Black Canary, and Roy Harper aka Red Arrow, Speedy, or, most recently, Arsenal.

Before them was a series of arrows, some colored red and others colored green.

"So, what do we have here?" Oliver asked.

The group turned towards the man, as they saw him.

"Hey, baby," the Star City vigilante said with a smile, "how have you been?"

The emerald archer turned and asked, "So, I take it you have some new toys for us, Felicity?"

The blonde scientist answered, "I do. The first, is already in action? See that new choker around Dina's throat?"

The man turned and saw that there was in fact, a choker around Dina's neck.

"Yeah, what's it for?" he asked.

The woman simply stepped forward and walked forward pulling out her watch, one of the fancy ones that worked like an iphone. She selected an app named, noise maker, and messed with it bit.

With that done, she faced one of the many wooden targets. Canary then took a deep breath and unleashed her patented canary cry. However, there was something different about it. It seemed higher than normal the sonic waves slammed into a target with a boom, reducing the wooden structure to splinters.

"Whoa…you been practicing?" Arrow asked.

Dina answered, "Nope. Felicity made some upgrades to the choker. It utilizes some fancy tech to effect how powerful my cry can be. I can make it high frequency waves, or a lot of damage, or low frequency for a lot of kick. All of it controlled through the app on my watch."

Felicity said, "Which is highly encrypted of course."

Oliver whistled and said, "Nice. Are there any other upgrades that have been made?"

Felicity answered, "Not to Dana. With some help, I've upgraded our vehicles. They're faster and consume a lot less gas."

Oliver smiled and said, "Oh, good. I hope the insurance doesn't go up though."

Felicity smiled and said, "I've also made some upgrades to your suits."

She motioned towards Arsenal and said, "Notice anything different?"

Oliver looked over it and said, "No, not right now."

She said, "Well, I've mixed in a few new features. The suits are now a mix of Kevlar with a mix of some light rhino plating around the chest and stomach. Perfect, for your usual light armor thing you got going on."

Arsenal then pulled out bow, showing off a slightly more advanced version, with a laser sight on the front.

"I also upgrade the bow," she continued, "with a lightweight, more durable material, good for bashing people with, and it can launch arrows with more force thanks to a stronger drawstring. The laser sight is there…mostly for fun."

Oliver chuckled and said, "Nice…and I take it these are some new trick arrows?"

The woman smiled and said, "Yeah, however, I've only managed to make three so far. They're made of the same lightweight metal as the bow, making them faster in the air."

Felicity then picked up the three red ones and said, "Show him what they got, buddy."

Arsenal took one of the arrows and notched it, aiming at the target. He then let it fly. The arrow struck the target, staying still for a moment before exploding with a massive amount of force.

"That was the C12 formula," she said, "you can thank Atom for helping us get the formula."

Arsenal notched another arrow and fired it at another target. This one exploded into a blast of bright colors, leaving burns on the ground.

"That was based of the plasma grenade," Felicity explained, "Though stability is still up for debate. There are a few more that I'm working on, but they're still in the prototype phases."

Oliver looked slightly concerned as he said, "Um…isn't this a little much?"

Felicity answered, "Oh, don't worry. These are for when you take on some of the big guys and the heavy hitters. Going against common thugs with these would be considered overkill."

Oliver agreed and said, "Well, if you don't mind. I think I'll go try on my new suit and take my bike for a test drive. You up for some hunter, Spee…I mean Arsenal?"

The former sidekick to the emerald archer nodded and said, "You got it."

After Oliver suited up, the two went out.

Cut! Sorry, this was short, but unlike some reaction stories where everyone benefits, I think that the new tech would benefit Batman and Arrow best because they used technology as opposed to certain heroes. Plus, I couldn't think of how it would affect the superpowered members of the league.

Anyway, for a little tidbit, there won't be any updates for a while. After I get all my stories up to six chapters. I'll be spending some time going through my stories to do a little editing.
