Chapter 15:
Making a Move
"Before we do this whole 'date' thing, we should move ya into your mom's place." Sans mentioned as we cleaned up the plates from breakfast.
"Sounds like a plan. Though, I'll walk there if you don't mind. I wanna see everything again...Could you take ahead though? I don't want her catching a cold."
He nodded, "Sure thing, buddy. I'll take a short cut and meet you there."
I smiled in thanks and got properly dressed for my long walk home. The air was crisp and small snowflakes drifted from the stalactites above. My eyes wandered over the houses and trees of Snowdin, bringing back memories of snow skeletons and snowball fights that we used to play years ago. I couldn't wait to make more of those memories with Arial this time.
I trudged up through the snow towards the Sans sentry station just beyond my home and spotted something yellow glaring at me from among the white snow. A flower, rough around the edge of his petals, stood there, giving me a once over.
Chills, not from the cold but from memories, ran down my spine. I only had enough mind to speak his name.
"Flowey."
He rolled his eyes and spoke, "Howdy, Frisk. You shouldn't have come back. You've awaken something that shouldn't have woken up."
I shook my head and tried to slowly make my way around him. "You mean, you?"
He shook his head, petals moving side to side like hair. "I'm not the only one. Just watch yourself. I don't think you're the only one moving in."
With that he disappeared into the snow and I ran the rest of the way to the doors of the ruins.
