Chapter 51:
First Trick
Sans took my hand and started leading me away from the door.
"I'm sure she can open it. I know it's been awhile for her using magic but it's our only shot. We gotta trust that."
"Bullshit! Mom can't be trusted! She lied all the time! She said she loved us the same but it was obvious she loved him more! She won't help once she sees it's him! She'll protect his sorry ass!"
Chara raged inside me and grabbed toward the surface to be released.
" Frisk, she'll just try to talk it out with him. He deserves worse than a lecture. He stole your baby! Let me out and I'll open it. Then we can teach him a lesson."
I strained to hear Sans over Chara's suggestions. They were right about mom. She would want to talk it through and avoid a fight. Flowey deserved more than that, especially if he had hurt my child.
"Frisk? Frisk look at me. Don't listen to them." Sans pleaded, squeezing my hands.
"I'm sorry Sans, but I can't wait any more. Chara, open it."
I knew I was taking a huge risk. Chara was evil and I didn't know what they would really do with my body, and they were not in blood relation to the Dreemurs so would their "magic" prove real?
Without warning I felt the push against my conscious control and soon I was backseat driving again. I watched as Chara rolled our shoulders then ripped our hands out of Sans' grasp. His eyes went wide and he tensed, preparing to fight, but Chara just turned away and strode up to the door.
"Chara, stop!"
Chara raised our hands and red sparks danced at our fingertips arching toward the door. The door opened with a loud scratching of rock on rock and revealed a decrepit hall leading into a room. Chara then turned and grinned maliciously at Sans.
"You're going to regret working with him."
The sparks flew out into an arch of red energy toward him, but Sans reacted fast enough to move out of the way. His eyes turned blue, ready to use his attacks, but Chara was prepared and took off beyond the opened door. Once through they halted and waved a hand backward.
I watched Sans piece together what they were doing just a second too late. The door thudded closed and the hall darkened. At first we just stood there, taking the time to catch our breaths and regain our energy. I could feel the toll that the magic took on us, and I was regretting making my deal.
"Okay, now give me back—" I started.
"Not a chance. I've got business to take care of." Chara smirked and headed to the room. "I have family to visit."
