Uh hey guys, I haven't been uploading in a while but I finally got my computer back! I should upload more often now... probably.

I also decided to ditch the animus power, I think that's the reason I mostly deleted the old story, it made it too short, so you have to stay with Starflight with no animus power.

Anyways, on with the story!

Tsunami growled. Glory bared her fangs. Clay readied his talons.Starflight looked into the futures. The slight movement of a talon could change the course of he future.

Starflight paced near Glory."Get ready to shoot her full of venom, I'll take care of the soldiers." He whispered into her ear. She nodded slightly.

"My oh my," Queen Scarlet started. "All five dragonets in one cave. Burn would very much like this."

"Who are you?" Tsunami said in her usual tone. Scarlet laughed.

"You really don't know who I am?" She flared her wings. "I. Am queen Scarlet of the skywings." She growled. "And you have the nerve to ask me who I am?"

She turned to the nearest skywing. "Tell Burn to arrive in two days." The skywing nodded and flew off.

"Now." She said in a icy voice. "If you would come willingly, maybe I won't kill you."

Starflight stepped in. "You'll have to kill me first before you can lay a talon on my friends."

Scarlet scowled. "Detain them." She pointed at the five.

"Glory now!" Starflight shouted. Glory reared her head and shot two thin drops of venom.

Time seemed to freeze. All eyes were on the black venom flying towards Scarlet.

Szzt szzt. The venom found their mark.

The roar that Starflight heard was like nothing before. He clutched his head from the noise.

Tsunami rushed to attack the skywings next to Scarlet, frozen by shock. Talons slashed and jabbed. The other skywing started to fly away. As Tsunami went to chase the other one down.

"Stop!" Starflight roared. Tsunami paused. "Let him go."

The wingbeats slowly faded into the distance.

"Why?" Tsunami asked. "He'll just alert the other skywings."

"It'll be fine." Starflight replied. "That's what we want."

He's lying. Why would he want to let him go? Tsunami's mind thought. Won't he just alert the other skywings?

"It's to cause chaos." Starflight responded calmly. "Don't you want to rescue your father?"

Tsunami's head shot up. She grinned.

"Hold on." Sunny interrupted. "Don't we want to fly away from the danger?"

"Also WHAT WAS THAT?" Clay interrupted. "How did you do that?"

Glory shrugged. "I just found out one night, I didn't know what to make of it."

"C'mon!" Tsunami shouted. "We should go now!"

Starflight sighed. "Perhaps, but, we could always come back later." Tsunami looked offended.

"But we can come back in a few days," Starflight said suddenly. "It'll be safer since they'll still be disorganized."

"So now what?" Clay asked. "Where should we go?"

"We could go to the mud kingdom." Sunny suggested. "Besides, it's the closest kingdom that won't try to kill us."

"Or we could go rescue prisoners from the skywing kingdom." Tsunami said abruptly.

Cmon Starflight convince them. We could save myfather and be welcomed by the seawings.

"Mudwing then skywings." Glory suggested. "Tsunami will never shut up about it now."

Tsunami sighed, then nodded. "It'll be safer later."

I did it again. Starflight exhaled. I've protected my friends, I've shaped the future to be the best possible future. I still can't calm down for a second.

The days passed likes minutes. All along, Starflight kept worrying. The what ifs kept repeating in his mind.

Calm down Starflight, think about the water.

The moonlight spilled in through the skyhole. It was nighttime. The dreams filled his mind. Both his friends and guardians kept him awake at night.

He tossed and turned around in his moss bed. He was only a week old but he was DEFINITELY going to go insane.

He hopped out of his bed and stumbled on his talons.

"Calm down Starflight." He whispered to himself. "Try to keep out the thoughts." He held his breath and slowly dunked his head into the dark flowing river. The water always calmed him down. The sound of the flowing water filled his ears and drowned out his friends thoughts.

Think about the water. Think about the water.

He grudgingly got out of the river, his scales dripped water on the hard stone floor.

Drop. Drip. Drop. Starflight paused. He was out of the river now. But he couldn't hear thoughts for a moment.

Did I hear that correctly? Starflight listen carefully. The dreams of his friend flowed back in.

He thought about the river, the flowing water filled his mind again. He could almost feel his head cold underwater.

His heart did a backflip. Did i do that? He blinked and the dreams came back in.

He turned towards a sleeping Clay, his dreams had him running around in the mud kingdom.

Aww. Starflight thought. He let the water fill his mind. The dream slowly faded away in the sound.

It worked! Starflight walked up to each of his sleeping friends. He did the same tactic and each of their dreams faded.

He went back into his moss bed, he let the water fill his head as he fell asleep.

They bend around the river and entered the border of the mud wing kingdom. Starflight hovered midair.

"We should stop here." He said. "I don't think Tsunami is going to be very welcome here."

Tsunami nodded. "I know, I know, I'm a seawing. I'll stay here." She sat down near the river.

"Cmon Starflight!" Clay bounded. "Come with me, let's go see my family!" Starflight shivered.

"Alright sure." Starflight replied. He spread his wings and started to fly.

The wind beat against his wings, carrying them closer.

They landed a few minutes after they started flying.

Clay hovered in midair. He stared at a ravine. Starflight winced.

The smell hit his nose suddenly. It was the smell of corpses. Starflight gagged.

"Starflight," Clay said in a quiet voice. Which was worrying, he never whispered like this. "Who are they?"

They landed in the blood soaked dirt, squelching between their talons.

"Icewings," Clay said. "Fighting mudwings."

The light blue was impossible to ignore, puddles here and there from the frostbreath. Fires still sparkled around the blood, like a creepy cult meeting.

"Let's keep moving Clay," Starflight said, staring at the corpses.

Don't blame yourself Starflight. There was nothing you could've done.

But what if I could. His mind responded Clay's sister is one of the bodies in the battle. He searched his futures. There was one but it was unlikely.

They took flight and slowly arrived the mudwing village. The smell of dirt hit Starflight's nose like a stone wall. Rivers of mud flowed through the village.

Clay's eyes lit up. He went to leap the into the river.

"Hey!" A mudwing shouted. "Occupied!" Starflight just noticed the hundreds of mudwings in the river. Their thoughts were covered in mud, seeping over their thoughts, blocking them out entirely.

Small thoughts still seeped though. Starflight listened, which was hard, like trying to hear something better without moving your head.

What if I die tomorrow?

The icewings came out of nowhere!

Stay focused, an attack could happen any moment! But the mud does feel warm...

I'm hungry, but I just ate five seconds ago!

Starflight smiled. An entire tribe of dragons like Clay! They'll burn through Pyrrhia's food source in a day!

"Does anyone know a dragon named Cattail?" Clay said alound. A mudwing lifted his head.

"Yeah she lives in that mound." He pointed to a brown mud mound. It was lopsided and had a hole big enough for a dragon to fit through.

Clay bounded over to the mound excitedly, Starflight took a sharp inhale. He felt a pair of eyes on him.

Umber. He plucked the name from a future. Youngest dragonet, observant, a good future ahead him.

"Hello?" Clay said into the hole. Cattail got out of her mound slowly, clearly annoyed.

"Are you Cattail?" Clay asked. She only nodded in response.

"I-I'm Clay." He responded. His thoughts were all over the place. "I think I am your son."

"So?" She responded nonchalantly. What is this dragon trying to tell? Whatever...

Clay paused. "But... wasn't I the blood red egg that the talons took?"

Cattail barked a laugh. "Oh we sold you." She replied. "Two cows, pretty good deal.

Clay recoiled, stunned.

Oh Clay, I'm sorry.

"Y-you sold me?" Clay replied. Coming out in short breaths. Cattail shrugged.

"We didn't need you." She replied. "There were others." She exhaled. "Go away now, I'm still tired." She retreated back into her mound.

"L-let's go back now, they're still waiting for us." Clay whispered. Clay never whispered unless he was upset, which Starflight easily saw.

Cmon any second now. Starflight thought with anticipation.

"Hey wait up!" A voice shouted. Clay and Starflight turned around.

Five mudwings approached them. "We heard you talking to Cattail." They turned to one another.

"Our nest was missing an egg." Another dragon said, quieter. "A blood red egg. Six years ago."

Clay's eyes glimmered with hope. "Does this mean..."

"You must be our bigwigs!" One of them shouted. "Look!" He pointed to Clay's... wings.

"The bigwings are the oldest dragonet in the nest, they take care of the rest of their brothers and sisters." A female mudwing said. "I don't think you've told us your name yet."

"I'm Clay and this is Starflight." He pointed next to him.

"I'm Reed." The biggest dragon replied. "That Sora, Pheasant, Umber and Marsh." He pointed to each dragonet in order.

"You can stay here," Umber suggested. "We can live together and you can protect us."

Starflight could see the struggle in his mind. On one talon, he could defend his siblings from dragons and ensure their survival, but on the other talon, he had the prophecy to fulfill and a war to end, and that would definitely ensure their survival, as long as they didn't die before that.

Clay lowered his head. "I'm sorry, I have a prophecy to fufill, I wish I could stay." The disappointment covered Starflight.

"But you'll visit right?" Sora asked. "You'll come see us after the war is over?"

Clay's mood lightened. He nodded eagerly. "I'll try to at least, don't worry."

He waved a small goodbye and they waved back. He arched his wings to go back and to his friends.

"Cmon Starflight!" Clay said. "Now they're REALLY waiting for us!"

Starflight smiled, and they flew together back to the river.

And that's it! Also, while I was gone, I reread The Dark Secret and Moon Rising so I have new ideas for Starflight!
