People notes:

Solitude's nobility is more than a little shady. With the court wizard being a vampire, there's also rumors that Erikur is involved in the drug trade business. Positively charming.

Thalmor intel is organized by relevance and priority more than anything else. Even if they are top secret, the documents that are related to the more pressing tasks were kept closer to the surface compared to those that won't come up often.

The people in Riften seem rather split between those that like the Thieves Guild and those who hate them. However, almost everyone knows that the higher echelons of the city are all in cahoots with them. Barring the Jarl, who is ignorant to the whole thing.

Esbern keeps his cane very close at all times. I can't tell if it's an old keepsake or if there's something more to it. I think it'd be kind of insensitive to ask, so I just stay quiet.

Semi-organized dragon cultists with masks… Possibly related to the guys that attacked me at Ustengrav?

Eorlund has no qualms with taking commissions, though he's very pricey. I expected him to have more reservations for non-Companions, but he said he isn't a Companion himself either so he doesn't care much.

Irileth is stronger than she looks.

Shout notes:

The shockwave created by Unrelenting Force actually seems to just be… Well, force. It's really hard to discern but it passes through everything almost instantly. Tested with water and a stone wall: water starts rippling before the gust reaches it, and the vibrations can pass through solid material - they'll just be severely weakened. Current hypothesis is that the winds created by the Shout are just a byproduct of the air lagging behind the force wave that passes through it.

There is a Shout to raise undead. The good thing about it is it seems to actually require corpses, so it's not a summoning spell, like some that I've heard of back home.

As suspected, Storm Call can indeed be influenced. I'm not entirely sure on the exact conditions, but from what I can tell - the first lightning bolt will always hit the thing I am thinking of at the moment of Shouting. After that, it's a coin toss.

Learning more than one word of power from a single soul is apparently doable. I wonder if the process can be manipulated to extract other, more specific memories though.

Whatever Shout "Gaan" is part of, it strikes the target with a sense of uncontrollable fatigue. A perfectly rested person will get weary. A winded person will have trouble standing. A very tired person might pass out on the spot completely.

Marked For Death tags a target in one's line of sight with a light purple glow. For each instance of Marked For Death active, the harm from whatever injury they receive next will be greatly increased. The effect can amplify itself if applied multiple times. However, it has to be an injury - something that would not normally harm the target, like a light tap, will not trigger the mark.

I wonder if it'd be possible to learn a Shout solely by consuming a dragon soul, without discovering the words prior. Might experiment.

Equipment notes:

The dragon priest's mask from Arcwind Point appears to be enchanted with something that amplifies your connection to fire. Fabric becomes less likely to catch fire, heat overall hurts less, and my own fire spells are a good deal more powerful than they normally are.

I'm not sure why this comes as a surprise, but apparently Stormblade does have a maximum capacity - around two natural lightning bolts' worth of energy. It completely consumes the lightning in question in the process, but will immediately disperse the shock in the surrounding area if it has nowhere to store it.

I've never actually worn plate armor before. It's a lot lighter than I expected. It'll definitely take some getting used to, but I could probably do some acrobatics in this.

Arcadia has a discount for returning clients.

There's this weird... Ring. I can't remember where I got it from and I keep finding it in my pocket or on my hand, even when I'm fairly sure I left it at home. It creeps me out a little, but leaving it behind or throwing it away has so far proven ineffective, so... I guess if it's going to stick around, I might as well carry it in a way that isn't uncomfortable. I got a little string and put the ring on it like a small amulet. I'll see if I can identify it when I have the time.
