UPDATED
The bathroom door opened a few minutes later. After he took stock of his surroundings his eyes were closed tight hoping they would just leave again but Fluttershy took notice of him quickly. "I see you're awake. I brought you food." She mumbled dropping a few carrots in front of him.
But Danny shook heavily with fear as he realized she knew he was faking his heart pounding mercilessly.
Fluttershy got closer reaching a hoof down to him slowly. But the gesture made him shoot up whimpering. "S-stay away…" She tried to reassure him "C-calm down, little colt. I'm not gonna hurt you," she smiled waving her hoof over towards a large bear, gesturing for him to close the door.
Danny whimpered quietly while the large brown bear slowly closed the door. The motion made dany freak out. He knew it he was just another prisoner. He felt heat behind his eyes swell as tears slowly itched his already red swollen eyes. She smiled and pushed the carrots over to him "Eat them, please. You must be hungry. I won't hurt you, I promise." She chimed quietly crouching down in front of him. He jolted slightly as she seemed to bow to him. Her gesture scared him and he hid just behind the toilet. He didn't care if he looked silly. He was too scared to care.
But the movement made Danny jolted and cried out in pain. Muffling it with his hoofs as tears rolling down his face. He shook blood dripping down his clean white fur that wrapped his body as his wing wounds reopened with the sporadic movement. When she saw the blood she went to rush him but her movement caused him to jump and fly into the air but as soon as he was airborne he fell. She saw this and gritted her teeth slightly before backing up and thought for a moment the sighed. "I-I don't think I have a choice… If I don't use my stare I can't help him." she mumbled under her hoof. Looking at him through hopeful eyes.
Fluttershy bit her lip slightly and walked in front of Danny, kneeling down in front of him. He trembled and whimpered. His eyes met hers as she was about to use her stare but something stopped her as he stared at her fear so deeply rooted in his psyche that she realized her stare wouldn't work. But she learned something else too though she didn't like it. But she could use his fear at least to get him to do what she needed him to to get better.
"Eat, I'm going to change your bandages, then we can go see a doctor," she smiled pushing the carrots forward. But the word 'doctor' made his eyes shoot up as he stared at her fear filling his eyes. He trembled heavily. "N-no… No doctors, no one else." He whimpered pulling away again. But when she started saying she has to he screamed at her.
"NO! PLEASE, I'LL DO WHATEVER YOU WANT! NO DOCTORS!" He cried out, shaking heavily but upon realizing what he did he quickly dropped his head. "I'm s-sorry, I didn't mean to shout, please don't hurt me. I'm not bad…" He then looked at the carrot and remembered her command to eat it. "L-look, I'm eating. S-see I can behave, I promise anything you want," he chimed, bowing his head to her a moment, forcing himself to stand up on this slowly dying coat as crimson red started to recover wobbly legs, as his already not so white furry ears fell back, hiding in his raven black mane as he shakily stood, trying to take a step forward. In his head he told himself if he listened to her she wouldn't bring him harm. If he wanted her to listen. He had to show he wasn't gonna do anything to challenge her overwhelming authority. But he ended up falling on his nub of a leg, smashing into the dirt, his face breaking his fall.
He winced and shifted, but didn't cry. Instead he put on a false smile as he trembled. He was scared but took the carrot and nibbled on it. He struggled to pick one up in his mouth as he tried to stay balanced enough to sit back down.
Once he was down again with a carrot in his jowls. He watched the pony swallowing hard as the taste of the crisp satisfyingly coarse texture flooded his dry mouth making his stomach rumble and churn. He had wanted to devour the whole thing. But he quickly cut the thought off as he softly and slowly chewed on the tip of the carrot. His eyes never leaving fluttershy's face as he watched her in case she was mad or would punish him for shouting or even
remotely opposing her idea.
Fluttershy watched him shout out of fear then immediately lose it as if she was going to beat him for just exsisting. His own existence sending himself back into the turmoil of apologizes and submission.
When he had stood, she watched him struggle to get the carrot, and when he fell she wanted to rush to his aid, but something inside her said it would be a bad idea. She dropped her gaze a moment before standing. She watched him sit down and eat the carrot. slowly eyeing her body language. She walked over to him. The movement made him freeze in utter terror as he clenched his eyes tightly closed. She just couldn't let him suffer anymore and decided that the best thing she could do was show him she wasn't going to hurt, but help him.
Danny tensed but didn't move as she approached his right flank. He was shivering when she had started to reach for his wings, touching them softly. She started to unravel the tight mess of bandages that constricted his wings and stopped his bleeding.
Danny dropped his gaze slightly, wincing in pain as the bandages were removed from his skin. He looked up again once she had stated she was finished and nibbled the carrot again, looking at her confused, but clearly not convinced. He looked back down keeping himself quiet. His ears fell back as she spoke to him again pushing the dirty bandages aside. "So um...What's your name?" She asked softly. After a long hard swallow, Danny spoke his words uneasy, and he quickly shook his head. "M-my n-name," He started trembling again as he sorted out his thoughts then he stood as best he could and whispered. "My name is 132, mistress." He stated softly through the carrot. Which he had carried with him into his bowing stance.
Fluttershy's ears shot up and she looked at him making him quickly drop the carrot and bow. "I-I'm sorry, I meant no disrespect." He cried out quickly trying to balance again as the shock knocked him off balance. Fluttershy jolted slightly from his panicked reaction.
"N-no I'm not your mistress, my name is Fluttershy...Call me Fluttershy, please." She smiled and chimed, "Now what's your name, little colt? I don't want a number but your real name." She stated, but the only thing he did was repeat himself as for almost 4 years his name was that number. "I don't care about what the sick pony who did this to you called you, little one. I want your real name."
Danny looked at her and shivered the thought made him collapse, J-just a number? But for months, years even that's all they had cared about but she actually wanted my name. Fear over ran his being as he backed away from her hitting the bathroom wall. He trembled taking in a few test breaths like saying his name would be the worst thing he could do.
"I-it's Danny…" He mumbled, looking up at her from the door. He swallowed and quickly closed his eyes tight in anticipation, but when he didn't receive any type of punishment for using his real name. He kept his eyes closed for a long time but it never came the electric shock he was so used to receiving for using the wrong name. He slowly opened his eyes to see a hoof in front of him. "It's nice to meet you, Danny. Welcome to my home."
Danny looked at her for several long moments before slowly reaching for her hoof. He received a firm shake. "Come on, Danny, we need to get you bandaged up." She smiled pulling out a new roll of bandages he had already started healing some and she was dumbfounded by the speed but she still needed to get him to a proper doctor just how though. He had managed to calm down enough to stop shaking. He was still wobbly from a lack of a limb, but he was learning quickly how to cope.
After several long minutes of hunting down her first aid kit, she started to softly bandage the small appendages. While she was caring for him, she had noticed deep lacerations in his tendons on his leg and several severe untreated cuts, burns and chafing marks on all his ankles. Deciding it would be best to let it go for now, she started to gently clean him up with a lightly soaked rag that had an anti-infection on it.
When a knock echoed through her house, she stood and looked at Danny. "I'll be right back, I promise I won't leave, okay?" Once Danny had nodded, she sighed, pausing a moment at the door before calling, "It's open," though of course, her voice was too soft for anyone on the other side of the door to hear. When she heard them knock again, she wearily lifted herself off the small blanket she placed down to keep Danny warm.
She walked up to the door with a long, drawn-out sigh. "Come in," She chirped, opening it wide so a bright purple pony with violet hair and a star on her flank could enter, followed quickly by a light blue pony with vibrant rainbow strands of hair her cutie mark standing out a cloud with a lightning bolt coming from it. "Welcome Twilight, Rainbow Dash." She smiled weakly and looked down the looks on their faces puzzling and questioning.
"What is it you needed, Fluttershy?" Asked Twilight softly.
"Yeah, Angel was frantic, he was acting like someone was hurt or something," stated Rainbow Dash, her curiosity peaked.
"Well...um...you see…" She looked down her ears folded back as she sighed, "H-he's upstairs. Y-you need to know though it's bad. Like really bad. He's scared of us and he doesn't seem to be able to trust. He's hurt emotionally and physically. He is also drained almost like he has no fight left within him to give." She muttered softly, walking over to the staircase. "I don't know much about pony medicine… But the little colt is bleeding, and, well, you just need to come upstairs to see. Okay?" She whimpered softly looking at the pair who was now very confused, but she figured it would be better just to show them explaining would take to long. She lead them upstairs to her bathroom and sighed. "I should warn you, it's pretty bad and he's really scared of us so we need to be careful. Also, don't mention doctors, he's petrified of them." She mumbled softly before opening the door.
Danny shifted slightly, watching her leave the room, still talking to him calmly. He still didn't trust Fluttershy, though. How could he after everything. The years he was put under the worst of the worst, all thanks to his family. "No, I can't trust her. I can't trust anyone." He growled softly as he snuggled under the warm blanket given to him. "She could turn in a heartbeat, what if she finds out I'm a half ghost too… She'd sell me out back to them…" He shuddered as fear welled up inside him again. Jolting when he heard multiple footsteps coming up the stairs he shuddered and swallowed his thoughts getting the better of him. OH GOD, SHE DID IT, SHE TURNED ME IN! SHE'S GOING TO FORCE ME TO GO BACK! His body shook as he tried to stand, looking around the small room, but he didn't see anywhere to hide. He whimpered softly and went behind the toilet, the tightest and what he thought he would be the safest place for him so he didn't have to worry about exposing why they wanted him. After hearing the door open, he held his breath and heard his exposed heart beat three times faster than usual.
Twilight stood outside the small cottage with a light sigh. She was getting ready to knock on the door when Rainbow Dash barreled into her side with a loud crash. She stood up laughing, "Sorry, I didn't mean to! Angel came, and from what I could tell, it was an emergency, so I rushed over here without thinking and kinda lost my breaks," she chuckled, nervously scratching her head.
Twilight sighed softly and slowly got up, "Well, let's knock then, and see why Angel was so frantic."
After a few single-minded thoughts, she went over to the door and knocked. Looking over at Rainbow, she spoke up, "What do you think could have possibly happened?" She muttered, her eyes staring at the door as she tried to hide the fear in her voice. Concern for her friend was quickly growing as she waited for a response.
"Are we sure she's here?" Dash asked. After a few moments had passed, Twilight knocked again and took the movement from inside as an answer to her question.
The moment the door opened, Twilight entered and looked her friend up and down. Once she was satisfied with the inspection, she spoke up with her questions. "What is it you needed, Fluttershy?" She asked softly, only to get interrupted by Rainbow's question statement.
Twilight sighed again when she heard Fluttershy say someone was upstairs. Her head perked up though when she said 'he.' She had wanted to say something, but Fluttershy was leading them upstairs to her bathroom. The small door at the end of the hall was closed and she stopped just before it to speak again, "I should warn you, it's pretty bad and He's really scared of us so we need to be careful." She heard Fluttershy state before opening the door to the tiny woodland bathroom.
Danny jolted when the bathroom door opened and his body trembled from behind the toilet. He was in a state of fear as Fluttershy spoke to him, "Come on out My friends just want to meet you Danny."
He shouted, "No! NO YOU WANNA SEND ME BACK! There gonna hurt me… I-I'm sorry if I upset you I'll never use my real name again..Oh ah ah if it was the food. I'm sorry I ate it. I'll make it up to you. I didn't know you were so upset about please. I promise I'm a good kid. I don't want this please. Please don't send me back." He was crying his little body covered by the toilet his wings and arms tightly gripped his eyes and head as he cried. "L-Look I'll do anything you want just make them leave. Please" He was hyperventilating as he quivered. Repeating over and over "My name is 132. I am a monster. My name is 132 I am a monster."
Twilight gasped when she heard the small foal begging to be left alone. He was so scared and whoever hurt him made him repeat that sentence. "His name is 132? A monster?"
Rainbow was just in complete disbelief. She muttered to Twilight." Knock him out we don't want him hurting himself more in fear."
Twilight agreed and using a powerful sleeping spell knocked him out. After which all three took him out from behind the toilet and twilight and Rainbow got a better look. When she saw what looked to be a white colt with a dark black mane, skin still bleeding from lesions and large wounds. She tried to look away but she was staring at his leg slowly making her way to his head. She froze, though, when she saw the young boy's chest. It was by far the most alarming wound, his heart was exposed, and looked more painful than any of the other three wounds. That was targeted near his neck, his eyes and his hindquarters. "Where did you find him? How did this happen?" Asked Twilight softly, her eyes horrified at his poor condition.
"We need to get him to a hospital, Fluttershy…" She stated only to get a look from Fluttershy saying she knew. When she heard Rainbow dash gasp she assumed she had finally seen the colt but she hadn't expected the look on her face. Fear filled the young mare's face as she stared, "Who would do such a thing?" She looked as though she wanted to cry when she heard Twilight call her. "Rainbow, I need your help! Please, snap out of it!" She was now standing between the gawking Rainbow Dash and the injured colt.
Fluttershy smiled slightly. "I can't lift him very well, and I could use all the help I can get." She stated, her voice growing really small when she saw the colt shift on the blanket. "We need to make sure he stays out till we get to the hospital though." She muttered out loud, but Twilight was already on it. The spell made him relax and go back to a deep sleep.
Twilight smiled once it was done and formed a small bubble around the colt, lifting him off the ground. "Alright, let's go. I'm sure we can get there, so long as he stays asleep," she chirped, knowing her bubble was sound proof. "Let's hurry, though, because I don't like how he's looking."
Rainbow Dash was so shocked by the sight she couldn't think of anything to say, She just stared at the blood that pooled in the small bandages that strained to cover the young colts every wound. She couldn't help but want to cry for the young colt, but she was brought back to the world when Twilight shouted at her. "Huh? What?" She looked around frantically for a moment then realized Twilight was talking to her. "S-sorry, I just, Well…" She was shuddering her mind filled with the young colt's image but she tried to come out of it. "Yeah, l-let's get him help." She saw twilight lift the colt in the bubble then start to slowly leave making her way down the stairs followed by her friends.
"What should I do?" Asked Rainbow Dash, wanting to help now. "Go to the hospital and tell them we have an emergency. Get a room set up for the young Colt." She stated to the blue mare, who was smiling. "Right, I'll get it done faster than you can say 'help.'" She chirped — then was off in a heartbeat.
Rainbow Dash was happy to be away from the colt. She would never say it out loud, but the fear of how he had looked scared her so badly that she wanted to get away from him. She wasn't sure why, but the young colt gave her a weird feeling, and it scared her even more. Once she was far enough away, she slowed her pace slightly, knowing she was getting close to the hospital. Once there, she pushed open the door and called in "I got an emergency coming, please get a room ready!" She announced loudly, interrupting what seemed to be a rather quiet waiting room filled with ponies who thought their ailments were horrible.
She flew up to the receptions desk and demanded a room only to be stopped halfway through her sentence,
"Name of the patient?" asked the dark red mare at the desk
"We don't have time for this!" She growled seeming even more frantic. "Look, my friend found a young colt so badly injured that he is bleeding from everywhere, We need the doctor to see him immediately!" She growled only to get a look before getting a sigh,
"No name, no entry." She was very stern with her words. "How can we treat someone you just found, Do you know anything about the young colt?" She asked through some thick-rimmed glasses. She was making a point to the mare. "If we don't know what's wrong with—"
I DON'T CARE! HE NEEDS MEDICAL ATTENTION OR HE WILL DIE!" She practically screamed, flustering the poor red mare. Her eyes were burning with determination just as her friends entered, the bubble a dark purple made to give the injured colt privacy. When Twilight walked in, she could hear Rainbow Dash's frantic voice slowly raising with fear and anger. When she walked in, she knew she needed to use her influence, because this was getting them nowhere.
She spread her wings and proudly walked forward. "We need a doctor, now!" She stated regally, and as she was also about to be told off, the receptionist gasped and bowed.
"I'm sorry, Princess Twilight,I didn't know you were the one coming in with the young colt."
"I just need him to be seen right away, or else he won't make it," She added, trying not to sound as distraught as she was.
Well that is the best place to end otherwise I won't be able to stop for another 3 pages I needed to draw a line in the sand so I could think about what happened next I promise you won't have to wait long for the next chapter.
