Hera was down in the kitchen, stirring vegetables in a pan. A pot of spaghetti boiled right next to her and bread was toasting in the oven. She began to pour the contents of the vegetables in a giant bowl when a pair of arms snaked around her waist.

"Dinner smells delicious, dear," Zeus whispered in her ear.

He kissed her on the cheek making her giggle as his beard ticked her skin. He reached for a mushroom in the bowl, but Hera bat his hand away.

"Dinner will be ready in five minutes," She pointed a spoon at him, "You can wait just a little while longer."

Zeus pouted and sat down at the head of the table. Hera watched him pull out the newspaper in the corner of her eye as he pretended to read it. She knew all too well though, his eyes were staring intently on her. She laid out everything on the table and proceeded to shout for her children.

"Kids, dinner is ready!" She cupped her hands over her mouth.

Athena, Dionysus, and Hermes friends had left the house an hour or half an hour before dinner, much to Hera's relief. The table was full of chatter about school today and what the army was like for Hades. He mentioned that it can be tough but after getting the hang of it he sort of enjoyed it. Athena mentioned boring things like what she learned in class today and how many tests she was studying for. Aphrodite's conversations were a little over the top as she mentioned boys and drama. Hermes mentioned his pranks which Hera had to scold him for.

After dinner, everyone did their part in cleaning the kitchen. Poseidon and Demeter cleared the table of the many contents of plates, bowls, and food. Hephaestus washed out the big pots and pans his mom had used to cook while Hestia washed the plates and bowls. Aphrodite and Athena scrubbed down the counters and stove, mainly Athena. Hades had begun sweeping up the floor and Dionysus, Hermes, Apollo, and Artemis helped in any areas that needed the assistance. Ares was banned from helping in the kitchen after the last fisco with breaking five plates and denting the floor after dropping a giant pot on Dionysus's foot.

It was one of the times where Hera could just relax from working. She had gone upstairs to shower and change into her pajamas. After getting out of the shower she covered herself up in a white robe and sat in front of her mirror, brushing out her long, wet, luscious, raven hair. She could hear small noises such as the TV being switched on and bedroom doors shutting. She smiled to herself at the thought of every one of her children. Many people have comment on Hera's appearance, surprised she didn't have bags under her eyes or gray hair from the utter chaos she has to deal with daily.

A familiar pair of footsteps entered her bedroom, shutting the door quietly. Zeus approached his beautiful wife, massaging her shoulders.

"I still don't know how you do it," Zeus looked at her in the mirror.

"It's a power only granted to mothers," Hera pat his hand.

She began to comb her hands through her hair to put it in a braid when Zeus placed his hands over hers. He removed her hands to replace them with his own, combing through the silky hair. He parted her hair to one side, gaining access to her neck. He placed small kisses and love bites down her neck, moving the robe over to get her shoulder.

"Someone either had a really good day and just wants to make it better or really bad and needs to get something good out of today," Hera smiled, "I'm going to guess bad."

"What makes you say that?" Zeus then kissed her on the lips.

"Because I just know you that well," Hera said after releasing her lips.

She stood up and pecked her husband on the lips.

"Come on," She said, unbuttoning his white shirt, "You need to change and get some rest. Tomorrow may be Saturday but we both still have a busy day."

Before Hera could continue, Zeus forced his lips down on her. The kisses quickly turned to passion as Zeus walked backwards towards the door to lock it, their lips still connected. He pulled off his shirt and removed his wife's robe. He lifted her up as she wrapped her legs around his waist. They fell on the bed making Hera squeal. Whenever she was with Zeus alone, he made her feel as if she was still in her early twenties and on their honeymoon. It must be a power granted only to husbands.

Hermes stood still, his face turning incredibly pale. His right hand was frozen and fisted as if he were about to knock on a door. His left hand clutched his father's buzzing phone. He was standing right outside of his parent's bedroom, being able to hear every sound from within. He slowly turned on his heels and wobbly walked back to his bedroom.

"I've finally been punished for all my pranks," Hermes said to Dionysus who was playing a video game.

"Dude, you look white as a ghost are you feeling ok?" Dionysus eyes turned wided.

"You don't wanna know," Hermes whispered, plopping on his bed face first. Dionysus, now intrigued, set his game aside to jump onto his brother.

"Dude, tell me," Dionysus said, bouncing on top of Hermes.

The bed was making creaking sounds as it moved with each jump from Dionysus. The sound was far too familiar to Hermes liking making him scream like a girl, pushing his brother to the floor. Dionysus fell with a crash and Hermes just hugged his pillow.

"Are you sure you're ok?" Dionysus rubbed his butt but showed concern towards Hermes.

"Uh...yeah….let's say that…." Hermes murmured into the pillow.

This only peeked Dionysus curiosity as he jumped up from his position on the floor.

"Tell me! Tell me! Tell me!" Dionysus began jumping on the floor, not wanting to be pushed off the bed a second time.

"IF YOU WANT TO KNOW SO BADLY THEN GO SEE MOM AND DAD!" Hermes roared.

"Geez, fine I will," Dionysus said.

Two minutes had passed, and Dionysus came back as pale as Hermes.

Hermes burst into a fit of laughter as Dionysus looked at him and said, "Don't talk to me."

Dionysus looked out the window from his frozen spot and noticed a giant blob running across the yard.

"What the…" He said, sprinting to the window and opening it.

"What?" Hermes became curious.

He looked over his brother's shoulder and saw what he saw.

"Is that Ares?" Hermes whispered, "It looks like he's following something."

"We should follow him," Dionysus said immediately.

Hermes backed up, his hands up in surrender.

"Woah, woah, bro," He said, "Look, I'm all up for breaking the rules and stuff, but that is just suicide. I don't want to wake up with my head in the toilet again."

Dionysus thought about it for a second and Hermes had a point. Ares could be brutal, especially to them, if they got nosy. Instead of responding, he just laid his chin in his hand, silently watching as Ares disappeared into the trees.

Ares moved through the shadows of the trees, grinning at himself. He wasn't like Hermes who could weave his way stealthily through the trees. Ares was ten times as big as Hermes, not to mention he could be a total klutz. However, the person who he was following hadn't noticed anybody was following them. He watched as his dear little sister kissed her secret boyfriend on a hill.

"This is payback for all those times you embarrassed me in front of my girlfriends," Ares muttered to himself.

He pulled out the night vision camera he stole from Hephaestus and snapped a picture.

"I warned you that I would get my revenge, you little rule breaker," Ares mentally laughed at himself.
