There are a LOT of Easter eggs to different cartoons in this chapter, so be sure to look out for them. (the list of cartoons will be at the bottom of the chapter.) I hope you enjoy the chapter, it's one of my favorites so far. X3

It was around 3000 B.C, in the middle of that ancient land known as Egypt. In a temple of black and gold, a queen of the dead sat upon a throne of human bones. She was covered in white cloth wrappings, only her fingers and eyes visible. Here eyes were like that of a skull, pitch black sclera with a burning golden light in the center of each eye. Her fingers were claws of bone in a light lavender color, they could easily slice through somebodies' arm. She wore armor made of black dragon bones. Her name is Nephthys.

The room was dark, only a few tiny windows near the ceiling. There was the sound of struggling from a corridor to the Queens left, two skeletal guards dragged in a scratched-up man, who was kicking and struggling to get away. The two guards dragged the man to the Queen, throwing him to the ground at the base of her throne. The man tried to get away, but froze in fear when he saw Nephthys. The queen gave a slow, evil smile. She gracefully got up from her throne and walked down the stairs to where the man was.

The man looked up at her in pure terror, he was shaking like a leaf in a storm. She leaned down and lifted the terrified man's chin up in order to look him in the eye.

"Are you scared?"

The man didn't respond. Her evil smile grew.

"Because you should be."

She placed her clawed hand on his head while the skeletal guards held him in place. Her hand and eyes began to glow bright gold, like a fire. The man began to scream in agony as the life left his body. His body began to turn into dust and dry out, leaving only his skeleton behind. She removed her hand away from the man's skull, the skeleton clattered to the ground as the guards backed away. The new skeleton's eyes suddenly glowed a dull gold, like a zombie the skeleton rose up from the floor.

"Go find me another human." She ordered her new slave.

Just then there was an explosion in the right wall, a cloud of dust filled the already dark room. Arrows shot through the dust cloud and hit the skeleton guards in their skulls, shattering them. The skeletons tumbled to the floor and turned to ash.

"WHO DARES ATTACK MY TEMPLE!" Nephthys screeched.

A feminine figure could be seen through the smoke. Nephthys's right hand sparkled gold and she formed an energy spear, she shot it straight at the figure with intense force. Right before the spear hit the figures face, she caught it between her hands. The dust cleared and showed the figure more clearly. She had a skeletal like face, much like a Diablo Muertos, but a light lilac color with gold and green markings. She had black hair worn up behind a golden spiked crown. She had golden and white regel armor with sun markings all over it. Her hands were bone claws much like Nephthys.

"Ma'at!" Nephthys hissed at the attacker, who threw the spear to the ground, where it faded into nothingness.

"Your rain of evil ends today sister…" Mat'ats left hand sparkled with purple energy and formed a sword.

"What a shame, you could have stood by my side and ruled with me, but now it seems I have to kill you." Nephthys smiled evilly as she formed her own energy sword with rays of gold.

"I would never abuse my power like you, and I would never sit on any throne made by the blood and bones of the innocent." Mat'at stated calmly.

The two women paced around each other in a fighting stance.

"You always were such a fool..." The evil queen remarked with her constant evil smile still showing.

"I am a fool, a fool who should have stopped you sooner." Mat'at replied.

The two women ran at each other, their swords clashed together, creating a wave of light and a loud boom that surely all of Egypt heard.

Back to modern day;

Nephthys opened her eyes with anger, if it weren't for her sister, she would be ruling the world right now with an army of skeletons at her command. But with the test subjects Slayer was bringing her, she soon would be back to her full power. She smiled evilly and looked around her makeshift lab, her dark magic pool swirling with the auras of the dearly departed. From what her partner in crime told her, her new test subjects would be arriving by train very soon…

Back to Manny;

Manny walked into the darkness, if not for his small torch it would be pitch black. The orange of Lady was enhanced by the bright torch light. He followed her inside until they got to a point where the cave entrance was no longer visible, not that it really was anyways. The tiger stopped, turned around, and sat down. She looked straight into his eyes, connecting with him.

"What?" He asked quietly.

"Dark."

Manny blinked and looked at his torch and then back at Lady.

"What?" his eyes were wide with confusion, if she wanted him to do what he though she wanted him to do, then this was not gonna be fun time…

"Dark."

Manny signed with defeat. "This is a dumb idea, but I'm gonna do it anyways…I hope you know what your doing." He mumbled. He dropped the torch into a puddle on the cave floor, it hissed as it went out and the darkness surrounded him.

It was pitch black and quiet, so quite that Manny could hear his own breath. The only other sound was the faint sound of droplets hitting the floor in the background somewhere. Then, something on the floor started to glow a semi-bright deep jungle green, Manny blinked in confusion and looked at the bright light on the floor. The glowing lines created a very familiar image; a paw print.

One by one more glowing pawprints started appearing on the floor, leading further into the darkness, leading him somewhere. He looked on in amazement and followed the pawprint runes. After a few moments of walking he came to a cave room opening, he walked inside and looked around in amazement. It was a wide and round area; glowing runes decorated the wall in different colors. Runes of animals danced across the wall, dimly lighting the area like a rainbow aurora borealis.

There was one area on the wall where green glowing swirls created an oval shape, the paw prints lead right up to it. Manny looked around in astonishment, Lady following close behind. He went up to the oval shaped area, there was a bright green paw print on the wall, right at chest level. He didn't know why, but he felt he should touch it. He placed his hand flat over the paw print, it seemed to start glowing even brighter. The multicolored runes around him changed green one by one like a wave.

There was a rumble and the oval wall began to sink, Manny took a few steps back as it did. Candle light flooded the room from the newly opened door. He slowly walked into the room.

It looked like an old study, there were shelfs with gems and decomposing books on it. There were cobwebs everywhere, but the large celling candles were still lit. Actually, they weren't candles at all, they were glowing gems, but they admitted the same light as a fire. There were many items scattered across the shelfs; a jar of strange red scales, a lock of white hair in a glass box, a jar of strangely fresh blood, a jar of neon green ooze with blue swirls, and the skull of a freakishly large wolf, just to name a few.

There was an old dusty desk in the middle of the room, he walked over to it and blew the dust off it, coughing as the inch of dust scattered. Lady sneezed at the dust. There was a crystal skull on the table next to some golden bejeweled scissors and a large hot pink gem. In the center of the table was a small dark ocean colored book with golden runs around the cover, a metal clasp holding it closed.

"What the hell is this place?" Manny mumbled, looking back at Lady. Lady did not answer.

He picked up the book and flipped open the clasp, it felt like a quick breeze went through the room. He looked up from the book and around the room, a chill ran up his spine. He opened the cover of the book and flipped through. The language was old and unrecognizable, he was no expert on languages, but it didn't look to be any modern language of India. There were drawings he could look at though; there was a sketch of a dog with a crescent moon behind it, a humanoid looking bug, a sketch of a staff with a dogs head, a list of some kind next to a picture of a monstrous reptile, and a lock of white hair.

Manny skimmed over the pages, he stopped abruptly when he got a very familiar image. A sketch of a belt with a silver belt buckle, though the symbol on the belt wasn't a T, it was very clearly the El Tigre Belt.

"This must be where the belts creator lived!" Manny practically shouted it shock.

"Maybe it can tell me how to fix it…"

He looked at the book for a few more moments, trying to figure out what the writing meant. He found a picture of a tiger drawn in metallic green ink. It almost felt like it was staring at him…A flash of green ran across his eyes, he felt a strange connection with the picture, like it was trying to tell him something. Suddenly the area shook hard, like an earth quake, jars fell of shelfs and crashed. It was an explosion in the distance, in the direction of the ruins. Manny fell forward and slammed onto the table, the tiger clawed onto the floor to hold steady.

Manny looked over at Lady. She was worried, he could feel it. He grabbed the book and stuck it in his vest. The two sprinted out of the room as quickly as they could, both were thinking the same thing; It sounded like it came from the ruins.
